That strange portal had dropped her off, alright…
In the middle of nowhere.
Well, to be more specific. In the air!
She was falling down, with great speed. Below her, strange shapes in multiple bright colors was drawing closer. Meaning the ground was approaching fast. Yurie reached down – down to her pocket. It was difficult, thanks to the speed of her decent but she grasped hold of the odd device and pulled it out. If she was just able to transform, she’d be able to save herself from pancaking the ground… right?
However, before she has a chance to use the device as planned. Her old friend, the bad-luck demon stuck hard. Like a knife to the back. The little device slipped from her sweaty hand and dropped like a stone, out of her reach.
Reaching her arm out in a vain attempt to grasp that strange little device. But no good. The little black and pink-toned device had dropped further than her arms could reach and she wasn’t going to be able to catch up before hitting the ground. Unconsciously and unable to stop herself, Yurie let out another loud, echoing scream and closed her eyes.
However, no hard fall met the tiny girl. No splat, no bang and no pain in the slightest. Slowly, tentatively, Yurie opened her eyes and was greeted by a very strange feeling. It was soft and very bouncy. Whatever she had landed on – had caught her.
“W-w-well, that’s quite odd...” Yurie muttered to herself, trying to stand but found herself drawn down into the soft surface. It was almost like being dragged down by quicksand. “First, the fall and now this. This is really n-not my day!”
