AncientWisemon's words rang true "Yeah...something like that just shouldn't exist. Overall it's useless for humans and someone has to give in order for anything to be done. I don't know who created it. Maybe it was Cherubimon, but I'm not sure. I never bothered asking." He said.
Denryu's words confused him, but he quickly realized what he meant "Wait a second, you're considering having the spirits and your Digimon all give up their data? Or...parts of it? That's an enormous gamble with very unclear results...though I'm pretty sure you're aware of that." He said. Truth be told he wasn't entirely comfortable with the idea, but if they were willing to go through with this, then he would remain and oversee what happened. "Well, you still have my support. I'll watch over what's going on and make sure nothing goes horribly wrong."
However, Toki wondered what he would even be able to do once the process began. He was getting increasingly worried for everyone here. He didn't want anyone else to get hurt by this device. He bit his lip, seriously considering just destroying this copy of the siphon, but he shook his head. This wasn't his decision. The best he could do was be there as support.
He looked at the Digimon that followed Denryu "You're all willing to go through with this, aren't you? I won't stop you. In fact...the measures you're going to in order to help someone...reminds me a bit of myself, honestly. Now who are the righteous dumbasses, hm?" he laughed, trying to lighten the mood. They could disguise it as pragmatism all they wanted. Toki had a feeling it was more than that. Maybe not. But honestly, it's what he wanted to believe.

"I don't know where it came from either - but it hardly seems like an ancient relic if its so easy to replicate." So it was likely a manufactured device, but it was still impressive to the totem that they were able to create an echo so easily.
Of course, then came Toki's comment. "Well, more or less." Despite Toki's astonishment, Denryu's tone still managed to come off rather flat. "Emma's frame includes everything in this space, so her spirits won't be part of the donation process. If she attempted something so taxing, we'd risk destabilizing the siphon during the process."
"Wait, she won't be?" Angel actually perked up at that, running through the math in her head. "... Sovereign damn it, Denryu, really?"
The General said nine, and Angel caught right onto that. Along with the Devidramon and the Renamon, there were four Digimon still held onto the Xros Loader, which soon followed along out: the Mailbirdramon, the Bladekuwagamon, the Knightmon, and the Kokuwamon.
That made seven. As Toki asked the question, the Reppamon gave a nod, the Knightmon responding in kind. "He's put far more on the line for us before."
"Honestly, its not the first crazy idea we've seen through with him..." The Kokuwamon gave a shrug, as Denryu spoke up.
"It won't just be them. I've put myself in the calculation as well."
"Yeah, and Toki, apparently. You even think to ask before you come up with these things, D?" Angel sighed, as Denryu scratched the back of his head. "Trust me, I was getting to that part. Well."
He addressed Toki, properly. "Its up to you if you want to change 18% to 16%, but even if you don't directly contribute, I trust the focus in your D-Tector more than the siphon itself. If nothing else, it'll direct the fractal code more efficiently."

This was a lot to take in, though the sheer conviction all of Denryu's Digimon showed displayed an immense amount of trust in respect in the man they considered their leader. A general, indeed. He seemed to inspire trust and courage in those he led, and Toki respected that. They stood by Denryu like true companions, and the scene couldn't help but make Toki smile.
At Denryu's request, Toki hesitated. To be directly involved in that device again. The pain he saw his spirit go through on those final days. I placed his D-Tector against his chest and frowned "You know what you're asking me to do, right? Ah...of course you do, someone like you wouldn't ask otherwise." He gave a weak smile. "I'm not about to leave you all to dry. Never. Come on, then. Let's get this done and make a miracle happen." He said before walking towards the Siphon.
He held out the D-Tector "Whenever you're ready...let's do this." As soon as everyone began contributing data, the data would first be focused through the D-Tector. Then, something reacted. As the data passed through and towards the siphon, it seemed more refined and pure as a shining fraction of fractal code within the D-Tector was worked into overdrive. This small fraction was in fact the data Toki had inherited from Ebonwumon. The siphon hummed to life and didn't seem to drain anyone in the group too badly due to the data's influence. Even now, the Sovereign protects their own, it seems.
Toki's eyes widened as this happened. As soon as AncientWisemon was ready, their data would be pulled out of Demon "Looks like having friends in high places pays off in a wide variety of ways..." Toki say with a bright smile. It wasn't over yet as the data was still being pooled together.

"You know what you're asking me to do, right?"
"If I don't now, I'll know in a minute or so." Denryu's reply, though still somewhat flat, was said with conviction and confidence, the General giving a small nod as Toki gave the go-ahead. On that, the Devidramon gave a nod, and stepped on forward towards the siphon.
"You alright there?" The Kokuwamon tilted his head, Demon simply returning a snort. "... Yeah, he's fine." He shook his head - after that, it didn't take long for the rest of the group to circle around the siphon.
The Renamon stood tall, arms held slightly off to the side. The Bladekuwagamon spared, red crystal blinking as he primed himself. The Mailbirdramon leveled its wings, a hiss of exhaust billowing out behind it. The Kokuwamon stood at the ready, eyes giving a small, digital blink. The Reppamon stood astride, the eye on its tail giving a faint, red glow. The Knightmon planted his sword at his feet, both hands grasping to the hilt.
And the Devidramon clutched his one claw up to his core, the beast giving a growl.
"To try and use the device like this..."
"No talk. Focus."
It didn't take long after that: Denryu held his Xros Loader out, gritting his teeth as a glow pulsed around the device. Across each of them, a ring of fractal code would appear, the siphon beginning to draw what was detected, before it would be diverted towards the D-Tector. The data almost seemed to take on a radiant tone, taken right towards the Devidramon's chest.
That said, despite their willingness, this wasn't an easy thing to pull off. Not all signals were equal, nor was the rate that everyone was drawn on. As the process went on, a few of the army pulled themselves away - starting with Blade, Volt, and Falcon, having simply calculated and partitioned off a portion of their code for this. At his tail's irritation, Guru was forced to stop shortly thereafter, and a moment later, Raider fell to a knee.
"Doesn't seem to matter the strength - the pull's equal..."
"Tch..." Denryu cut his own soon after, but at that point, the process neared completion. A golden glow appeared, clutched right in the Devidramon's claw, the demon now able to hold something complete in his hands - the AncientWisemon's totem. He carefully placed it down in front of him, the last strands of code pulled right into his visage.
Angel gave a 'tsk' at that, falling flat on her back as she tried to catch her breath. Everyone here seemed winded, Denryu even holding a hand up to his head. "... Whoever made that did not make it to be used with human data..."
"... What is this, then?" The totem finally spoke up. "My form? How is this a body?!"
"If this was all it took to accomplish that, then we wouldn't have spirit wielders, would we?" Emma's tired voice echoed from above. Demon seemed irate at the comment, about to snap out, only stopped at the sensation of Denryu's hand at his arm.
"... Toki. You holding up?" He'd look from the spirit wielder, before looking to the totem. "One last thing to handle."

The process was arduous for everyone involved. He couldn't blame the others for pulling away when they did, lest they lose too much data to recover from. Toki remained steadfast through it, fighting through it so that the data can be filtered through at a reasonable and efficient speed. Soon, AncientWisemon was formed as a Totem, Toki stopped the data transfer and wiped his brow, panting heavily "Phew...okay...this is a good first step, but that took more out of all of us than I thought." The strain was pretty rough on him as well, but he has unfortunately gained a bit of a tolerance for that sort of thing.
Toki was clearly worried about the others as he made the rounds to check on them "You're all okay right? You feel stable, nothing seems out of place...?" He asked these questions to all of Denryu's Digimon, wanting to make sure they were all feeling fine. He looked down at AncientWisemon "We'll figure something out to get you a true body soon, mark my words." He reassured them.
He nodded at Denryu's question "Yeah, yeah I'll be okay. I just need a minute to breathe." He said, focusing and calming himself down. His breath became steady again in a few short moments "Alright...what's this last thing you need? We've made it this far, so let's see what this is going to take." Truth be told, he was worried, but to stop now after everyone's put their heart and soul into this, almost literally, wouldn't sit well with Toki. "If you need another spirit user...do you need me to use AncientWisemon's totem for something? I'm not sure how that's going to work, but I'd be willing to give it a shot if that's what I have to do."

"Ugh, no kidding..."
Slowly sitting up, the Renamon rubbed the side of her head. She grit her teeth, easily feeling on edge after the ordeal. Everyone was at least winded, though Angel and Demon seemed to have had the worst of it. Angel needed a minute to sit up, while Demon clenched his fangs, equal parts irate and fatigued.
Despite this, Denryu's Digimon responded at-least-decently to Toki's comments, responding with a nod or a word or two to his request. The General himself stretched out his arms, testing his own stature, finding everything more or less in place. "I'll return them to the Xros Loader shortly, give them a good chance to rest." Simple enough.
As for what role Toki would play in this last part, Denryu looked to Toki from the corner of his eyes, "Nothing like that. All you need to do now is watch." With that, the General would walk forward, towards the spirit totem that remained sitting on the siphon. The Ancient Wisemon already took this situation with a heavy grain of salt.
Despite all this, all they could do was return him to the way he was? In spite of Toki's comment, the totem had not said much in the aftermath - and as Denryu's shadow cast over him, the spirit gave a huff. "Well? Are you satisfied? Tear apart my life and then hang me out to dry-"
"Hmph." Denryu sighed, shaking his head. "Tell me. Are you really the type to give up that easily? Claim that your own situation is anyone's problem but your own?" Denryu's gaze seemed almost dark at that - and the totem responded in kind. "The hell are you being high and mighty about? There's nothing left!"
"Exactly." Denryu's deadpan response caught the totem off-guard. "Just like before, you have nothing. And since all you've done is try and ride on the coat-tails of a scheme borrowing power, you've returned back to where you started. Tell me, why are you so eager to do the same thing again?"
"..."
Was Denryu right? Was he just talking hyperbole? As the totem was caught in this thought, the general raised his Xros Loader, screen towards the totem. "If you want to make something of it, if you're willing to put your own hand in the pot? Then come along. I'll show you just what you can still do."
"Tch... it sounds like you've had this schemed from the start..."

Toki sighed in relief that there wasn't much he had to do next. It seemed all was left to do was to convince AncientWisemon to be a part of his army, which Toki honestly figured was the goal from the beginning. Everyone seemed no worse for wear, at least, just exhausted. "Good...good, I'm glad you're all keeping it together." He said, smiling at the group. So they'll rest in the Xros Loader. That made him feel a little better about this.
He watched Denryu speak to AncientWisemon and asked a pretty heavy hitting question. Toki stepped forward to offer his own insights "If I may...when you possessed the other Wisemon's body, did you...ever at any point consider the nightmare they were experiencing being trapped in their own body with no way to escape or plead for help? I want you to consider your own situation now and before you were discovered. You were putting someone else through the same nightmare. Trapped. Alone. And now here we are, willingly giving up parts of ourselves to give you a fleeting chance, but a chance to do something better. If that doesn't show you the power of cooperation and altruism, then I don't know what to tell you."
He stepped back "Whatever you decide on, I hope you reflect on what you've seen and heard today. Take that first step to living once more and making up for what has happened. I'll admit, I want to hate you for your hand in what happened. I could just leave you in that lonely void for eternity until you stopped thinking altogether. But...I can't. Because I know full well what isolation can do to someone, even after such a relatively short time. It makes you think awful things and consider doing awful things just to feel like you have a purpose. I've clawed my way out of that mindset thanks to the support of others and emerged a better person. Maybe you can do the same."

"Did I ever consider..."
Caught between the General's logic and Toki's own question, the Ancient Wisemon found himself caught off guard, the totem's data radiating slightly as he considered that question. "It didn't get a second thought. Everything was for the cause, regardless of the cost. But to hear it so bluntly..."
He hesitated. He honestly hadn't considered it, the weight of what he did simply falling to him right now - and despite his own actions, this team that barely even knew him, and whose only tie was a tenuous one through a spirit wielder, decided to put so much on the line.
Denryu spoke with cold, unforgiving logic. Toki spoke with understanding, even amidst his terrible deeds. At this juncture, the totem kept quiet, mulling its thoughts, before he gave a chuckle. "The two of you couldn't be more different. But, fine. I'll keep that in mind while I'm along for the ride."
That was all there was to it: not a contract between a spirit wielder and a totem, but an amicable one between a General and his army. The Xros Loader gave a pulse, the totem itself fading into a flash of white light, forming into a chip that slid right into the side of his device.
"Couldn't be more different?" Emma's voice perked up from above, the spirit wielder entertained by this sight. "You both seem equally reckless." In the minutes to come, the group - well, Toki, Emma, Denryu, and Angel, at least - would once more find themselves standing in the sand. The rest rested in the Xros Loader, Sakkakumon's temple having faded as Emma slipped back down from that form.
"... And you're sure about this." Angel blinked, looking down as Emma handed Sakkakumon's totem, as well as a gear-shaped one that represented her sprite spirit, over to the General.
"Unfortunately - but don't worry, you all won't be rid of me that easily." Emma managed a smile, Denryu himself giving a mental sigh as he looked over this reflective spirits. No matter how he put it, this was a lot to lose all at once.
"... For these, we'll simply have to return them to the temples we found them. Maybe they'll find another user at some point, but for now..." He closed the case, and gave a nod towards Toki. "Sorry for dragging you all the way out while you were still recovering. And, well-"
"'Thanks'." Angel gave a grin, butting Denryu in the ribs with an elbow. "No need to be wordy about it, ya'know."

To see AncientWisemon so pensive...that was enough for Toki. No more words, no more questions. He felt as if AncientWisemon would be okay from here on out. With their accepting words, Denryu added them to his ever-growing army. Toki smiled "Here's hoping he finds the purpose he needs working with you all. I think he'll be just fine, though. That regret...that moment of realization...he'll grow from this. Just take care of him." He requested. It was odd being so kind to someone who had done so much harm to him. Still, it was what he felt was the right thing to do.
He rubbed the back of his head, giving a nervous laugh at Emma's comment "You think? Well, I guess you could say we're both stubborn to a fault. It'll get us in trouble a lot of the time, but it also leads to moments like this." He said, always ready to put his positive spin on something.
Once everything was settled and Emma returned to her human form, Toki crossed his arms, looking rather somber about the whole thing. This part of Emma's journey might be over, but a new one was just beginning. The plan was for them to eventually return the spirits to their respective resting places for a new user to find them. Such was the cycle of the Digital World for Spirit Users. "Well whatever it is you decide to do, I wish you the best of luck for the future. You did great today." He said.
He looked over to Denryu and Angel and smiled warmly "I should honestly be the one thanking you guys. This brought a weird sense of closure to everything. Though...you're welcome. I'm glad I was able to help you out after what you've done for me. What's next on the agenda, if you don't mind me asking? I for one, am probably going to go home and sleep. Glad as I am to help, I'm absolutely exhausted."

"Well, from what I've seen today, you don't intend to slow down any time soon." Emma returned that sentiment right back to Toki, giving a smile as she opened a portal behind herself. "You take care."
And with that, the spirit wielder would make her exit. It was about time to say their goodbyes, though Toki asked something rather interesting at the end. 'What next'? Angel gave a blink, looking over in Denryu's direction, wondering if -
"... Can't really say. Rather, I'd rather you not get tied up into the potential mess of it."
"Of course..." Angel sighed, shaking her head. "Hopefully I'll be able to get in touch with you about it after the fact. Depending on how things go, well, this place might get much more used to his mask..."
"Hmph." Denryu gave a sigh, shaking his head. "Take it easy, Toki. I'm no expert, but I think its roughly two days for that 'donation' to fully recover."

Toki bowed his head as Emma left, satisfied that he was able to provide the help he did. "You too." he waved as they passed through the portal. There was something bittersweet about this, but sometimes people have to make a decision, and he felt that Emma definitely made the right one given her circumstances.
Denryu's response to his question clearly made him worry, but it must have been serious if they didn't want him to get involved even after today. "That's just going to make me worry about all of you, but if that's what you want, then I'll respect your decision. Just be careful out there."
What Angel said was also worrying, but he trusted them to pull through regardless of the results. He smiled at Denryu at the concern he showed for his well being. It still came across as slightly indifferent, but the thought mattered to Toki "Thanks, I'll take you up on that. I haven't been home in a while, so it'll be a welcome break."
He stretched and yawned, definitely tired from the day's events. He raised his digivice in front of him and opened a portal "If you ever need anything, you know how to contact me. Good luck." He waved goodbye and stepped through the portal to go back home.
