Post by Takahiro Minami on Jun 6, 2014 0:33:19 GMT
Name: Takahiro Minami
Alias: Taka or Tak
Age: 17
Gender: Male
Height: 1.75 meters (5 feet 7)
Weight: 59 kilograms (129.8 lbs)
Alignment: Unresolved
Birth Date: 14th April
Birth Place: Shibuya, Tokyo, Japan
Western Horoscope: Aries
Eastern Zodiac: Ox
Skills/Talents:
Bilingual: A proficient speaker of both the Japanese and the English languages as a result of his father being an international businessman and his above-average education as a result thereof.
Quick Thinker: The uncanny ability to always be the first to come up with an idea on how to handle a situation. However, that doesn’t mean Takahiro’s ideas are always the best of most thought-out of the bunch.
Athletic: Good at anything that requires a lot of stamina, especially when it comes to running and climbing.
Personality:Being from an upper/middle-class family and past the worst years of puberty, Takahiro is pretty well-mannered and mature for a guy his age. He’s intelligent and would excel in his studies were it not for the fact that he’s too lazy to do his homework most of the time and is a terrible planner too. In fact, he rather spends his time outside walking or jogging around the city looking at everything with the slightest historical or cultural value he comes across. Takahiro is a sucker for anything that has to do with history, it’s his favorite subject in school and about the only one he truly pays attention to in class.
Apart from his lazy attitude concerning his school work or work in general, there are several more aspects of Takahiro’s personality that can be seen as negative. For instance, he can be quite reckless and doesn’t think things through all the time even though he could easily use his intelligence to come up with a more thought-out solution to a problem. His relatively wealthy parents having brought him up in a rather closed-off environment has resulted in Takahiro being somewhat naive and socially awkward at times. Because of this, he was picked on when he was younger and as a result of that still carries a subconscious distrust of strangers with him to this day, usually hiding behind his good manners when said strangers are around. He doesn't outright trust anyone for that matter, only with time and patience can others win Takahiru's trust.
Appearance:Takahiro stands at slightly above average height for his age but has a relatively small posture otherwise. His limbs are the only parts of his body that have any sort of visible muscular features on them as those are the main groups of muscles he uses for sports. He has brown eyes, but commonly covers them up with his trademark big sunglasses while outside. His hair color is actually very dark brown, but most people (including Takahiro himself) call it black for simplicity’s sake. He doesn’t pay much attention to his hair apart from sweeping a comb through it every now and then, which is why his hair is usually a messy mop reminiscent of some alternative rock haircuts. A thin but long nose, pointy eyebrows and a somewhat wicked smile make up the rest of his facial features along with his quite prominent jaw line.
Fashion-wise Takahiro likes to keep things casual. He usually wears jeans, doesn’t matter whether they’re short or long, combined with either a T-shirt or a regular white undershirt along with a thin top vest. Sneakers are his preferred footwear, especially if they’re brown or white. The final two pieces of any of his outfits are a pair of big, brown-tinted pilot sunglasses and a tribal-looking bracelet made of brown leather string and three white, weathered pointy things slightly resembling teeth of a small sea creature along with a number of small beads.
Personal History: Takahiro was born to Ichiro and Kaori Minami at the local hospital. There were no major problems during child birth even though Takahiro came into the world a week ahead of schedule. Ichiro, his father, is a commodities broker with international connections while Kaori, his mother, used to be a curator at a local museum before she quit her job to take proper care of her child.
Takahiro was brought up in a safe environment created by his parents, who controlled every single bit of his life as an innocent child. He did get to go play outside very often, but never unaccompanied by his mother and/or sometimes his father when the man wasn’t otherwise occupied. Because of this, Takahiru never had many friends in school as he was content with the love and friendship his parents gave him. The lack of popular friends made him a target for bullies, something that has shaped part of Takahiro’s personality.
This way of life continued until he hit puberty, where his personality took a turn for the worse. He was appalled at how much of his life was controlled by his parents, and did everything he could to break away from them. This included running away from home, refusing to speak to his parents and locking himself in his room playing video games or reading history magazines.
It wasn’t until the later stages of puberty that things changed again. Even so, it required an accident to bring Takahiro and his parents closer together once more. While he was outside casually strolling through the city one day, he was among a group of people that got hit by a car piloted by a particularly agitated driver. Takahiro was rushed into hospital with a heavy concussion and a major injury to his spine as a result of being thrown up in the air and landing on the cold, hard street in a rather unfortunate way. The doctors told Ichiro and Kaori that their son would have to use a wheelchair for the rest of his life in the likely event that his wounds could not be treated effectively, which made the pair lose hope for a while.
However, a specialist spine doctor specifically brought in by his father managed to save Takahiro from this terrible fate, which helped him recognize what lengths his parents would go to in order to save their son. It was then that Takahiro realized that everything his parents ever did for him was for his own good, for his own safety. This new-found understanding renewed the bond between Takahiro and his parents, the mutual understanding also comforting both parents making them more willing to allow their son to make his own decisions.
Takahiro has lived a relatively quiet life ever since, doing schoolwork at his own pace and hanging out with the few “friends” he knows from school. He also listens to alternative music on a daily basis, plays video games every now and then and eagerly awaits the new issues of the history magazines he and his mother love to read. Of course he also still walks around the city daily with hopes of finding new things of interest to him. After all, you never know what the next day may bring. Last month it was the strange, worn bracelet that’s now part of his standard attire. Who knows what it could be next?
Backpack Contents:Digivice:
- A pair of brown-tinted pilot sunglasses Takahiro usually puts on when he’s outside while the sun is shining brightly.
- An energy bar that’s probably way past its expiration date and no sane person would even think about leaving in their backpack. In fact, Takahiro probably forgot about it too which is why it hasn’t been removed from the bottom of his bag yet.
D-Terminal:
Partner’s Name: Ryu
Default Form: Rookie
Gender: Male
Alignment: Lawful Neutral
Skills/Talents:
Acute Senses: Ryu can sense whenever a presence is nearby thanks to his good situational awareness along with the use of superior senses of smell and hearing.
Personality: Ryu is mostly a calm and composed digimon. He doesn’t the most cheerful personality and is often too serious to see the fun in something. This seriousness does have a positive side though, as it helps him to act with tact in any conversation or negotiation he finds himself in. While he prefers to solve disputes with words where he can, he doesn’t back down from a fight if he is provoked into one. In fact, loyalty is very important to Ryu. He will stand by those he calls allies no matter what, even if they make questionable decisions or ones he doesn’t agree with. Ryu cares greatly for those he loves and will go to great lengths to protect them if he deems it necessary, even if such a thing requires a sacrifice on his part.
He also has a great appetite for knowledge, being very inquisitive about things he doesn’t know much about. However, he doesn’t really care much to interact with strangers, so most of the information he seeks has to be gained from him personally experiencing things. It is because of this that Ryu has a passion for food, specifically food that he’s never had before. Another product of his curiosity is his lust for exploration. He doesn’t really like being in towns or cities though, he much prefers exploring more scenic forests, mountain ranges or beaches.DIGIMON'S INITIAL EVOLUTION LINE
Appearance:
Fresh: Fufumon
Attribute: Data
Family : Dragon’s Roar
Type: Slime
Attacks: [Horn Charge]
Fufumon launches itself at its target with the large horn on its head pointing forwards. This is quite a powerful attack for a digimon of this stage, but the speed at which it happens hurts Fufumon as well.
Digivolves To: Kyokyomon
Appearance:
In-Training: Kyokyomon
Attribute: Data
Family: Dragon’s Roar
Type: Lesser
Attacks: [Pyro Puff]
Kyokyomon fires a small bolt of dragon’s fire at its target. This attack is only effective at short range, as the fire bolt dissipates with range.
[Tail Whacker]
Kyokyomon starts spinning and slaps the target with its tail multiple times.
Digivolves To: Ryudamon
Appearance:
Rookie: Ryudamon
Attribute: Vaccine
Family/ies: Dragon’s Roar, Nature Spirits
Type: Dragon
Attacks: [Spike Strike]
Ryudamon curls up and only takes 50% of any incoming damage, storing the other 50% in the purple spikes on its armor. After spending one post in this curled-up state, Ryudamon launches all of its spikes at the target. This attack only does minimal damage if Ryudamon sustains no damage while in its curled-up state. (2 post cooldown)
[Ryuda Laser]
The red gem on Ryudamon’s forehead begins glowing and emits a concentrated red beam of energy at its target. This attack has the ability to penetrate weak armor.
[Razor Claws]
Ryudamon quickly lunges forward with both of its razor sharp claws and slashes the target with them. Due to the speed at which this happens, this attack takes extra effort to avoid.
Digivolves To: Ginryumon (regular digivolution), Rhinomon (armor digivolution), Samudramon (biomerge)
Appearance:
Champion: Ginryumon
Attribute: Vaccine
Family/ies: Dragon’s Roar, Nature Spirits
Type: Dragon
Attacks: [Scatter Beam]
The red gem at the top of Ginryumon’s nose begins glowing and emits a number of smaller short energy beams in a shotgun-like firing pattern. This attack works best at close range where Ginryumon is able to hit its target with multiple beams, as the individual beams are not that powerful.
[Samurai Sword Strike]
Ginryumon conjures up a samurai sword on either side of its body and launches them at the target.
[Guardian Shield]
Using the red gem on its forehead, Ginryumon creates a small energy shield that blocks any incoming ranged attacks for both himself and anyone standing directly behind him. It offers no protection from melee attacks though, and attacks that affect a large area can also be problematic due to the small size of the shield. (3 post cooldown)
[Red Mist]
Ginryumon releases a scarlet-colored mist from its mouth, attempting to confuse the target by making itself and its allies more difficult to detect and thus harder to hit. However, enemies may also make use of this mist to conceal themselves. (2 post cooldown)
Digivolves To: Hisyarumon
Appearance:
Ultimate: Hisyarumon
Attribute: Vaccine
Family/ies: Dragon’s Roar, Nature Spirits
Type: Dragon
Attacks: [Twin Beams]
Hisyarumon emits respectively orange and green laser beams from the orbs in its claws which have the ability to penetrate even stronger armor with little effort.
[Lore Blade]
Hisyarumon converts its tail into a giant samurai sword and slashes its target with it.
[Mythical Mist]
Hisyarumon emits a dense red mist from its nose which has both the ability to conceal him and his allies as well as heal them. While in this mist, Hisyarumon and his allies are much harder to hit, but so are any other entities that enter the mist (although they won’t be healed by it). (3 post cooldown)
[Static Orb]
Hisyarumon throws up to two of its spheres at its target(s), which create a powerful energy field that damages and slows any digimon within once they have landed on the ground. This attack has no effect on humans and is only half as powerful against biomerged digimon and spirit users though, as they also carry human data. The orbs will return to Hisyarumon after three posts. During the time that the spheres are on the ground, the Twin Beams attack cannot be used. (3 post cooldown after last orb has returned)
[Sword Storm]
Hisyarumon conjures up a large number of smaller knives and swords and launches all of them at the target simultaneously.
Digivolves To: Owryumon
Appearance:
Mega: Owryumon
Attribute: Vaccine
Family/ies: Dragon’s Roar, Nature Spirits
Type: Dragon
Attacks: [Wing Blade Rush]
Owryumon quickly passes over its target, slashing it with all of the blades on its body in the process.
[Thunder Blades]
Owryumon charges the blades it carries in its claws with electricity, then slams them into its target.
[Shock Therapy]
Using small shocks of electricity, Owryumon can heal some of the damage done to itself or its target. If an enemy attacks while Owryumon is in this regenerative state, they will be zapped by the electricity which is damaging to anyone else. (3 post cooldown)
[Ethereal Shield]
Owryumon Creates a powerful electric barrier around itself and anyone in direct physical contact with it. This barrier can repel any form of attack and even absorb electricity-based ones. Owryumon can keep the barrier up for up to two posts, but cannot attack or move while in it. (4 post cooldown)
[Electro Gale]
The electricity around Owryumon is channeled into a large number of orbs and then flung at the target by a powerful gale created by Owryumon’s blade wings. This is a devastating attack that affects a large area and ravages the landscape and target on which it lands. However, due to a lot of electricity being removed from Owryumon by this, it cannot use any electricity-based attacks during the next post, leaving Wing Blade Rush or Dragon’s Might as the only possible follow-up moves. (2 post cooldown)
[Dragon’s Might]
Owryumon raises its tail above its head and channels energy to the golden tip at the end. It then fires a spear of energy at its target that both deals heavy damage and attempts to temporarily paralyze the target. (2 post cooldown)
Digivolves to: N/A
Appearance:
Biomerge: Samudramon
Attribute: Virus
Family/ies: Dragon’s Roar, Nature Spirits
Type: Dragon Man
Attacks: [Razorblade Fury]
Samudramon slashes its two powerful, razor-sharp blades at its target in rapid succession. This is not an easy attack to dodge unless extra effort is put in.
[Ground Fault Shocker]
Samudramon charges his blades with electricity, then slashes both of them into the ground in front of him, creating a stream of subterranean energy that travels in a straight line away from him and erupts upwards when it reaches a target.
[Samurai Speed]
Samudramon moves close to the speed of light, making him hard to detect and even harder to hit. This attack can be used to avoid incoming attacks, both ranged and melee. However, it does not work against attacks that travel at the speed of light such as lasers or other light-based ranged attacks as those are even faster than Samudramon is. (4 post cooldown)
[Chain Lightning Strike]
Samudramon charges his blades and fires to powerful electric spears from the tip of his blades. The electricity released by the impact of the spears can chain to up to three other targets, although the power will decrease by 25% of the original strength with each jump (meaning the final jump does only 25% of the original impact’s damage).
[Static Trap]
Samudramon creates floating strings of electricity with its blades, which he uses to create a web that repels melee attacks and attempts to paralyze any that dare to enter it. Ranged attacks cannot pass directly through it either, but an attack of this kind will destroy the web. (3 post cooldown)
[Mirage Multiplication]
Samudramon creates two illusory copies of itself in an attempt to confuse its target. These copies acts as though they are the original, but cannot do any damage whatsoever. They will fake Samudramon’s attacks though, which makes it hard to figure out who the original is unless he uses another attack. (2 post cooldown)
[Zen Railgun]
Samudramon arranges his blades in a crossbow-like fashion and begins to absorb energy from its surroundings. This action takes one post, during which Samudramon is vulnerable to counterattacks. When fully charged, Samudramon releases a bolt of energy from its chest through the gap between his swords, where it is accelerated to a very high speed that makes it hard to avoid. The resulting beam deals incredible damage (enough to collapse a building) and can penetrate through an infinite number of surfaces or enemies. The attack’s power does diminish with range though. (4 post cooldown)OPTIONAL EVOLUTIONARY STAGES
* Needs Digimental of Confidence
Appearance:
Armor Champion: Rhinomon, the Crown of Confidence
Attribute: Vaccine / Free
Family/ies: Metal Empire, Virus Busters
Type: Mammal
Attacks: [Radiant Armor]
Rhinomon retracts all of its limbs into its armor (like a turtle is able to) and creates a more compact form of itself that way. Any incoming attacks will only retain 33% of their original attack strength while he is in this mode. Rhinomon can keep this form up for up to three posts, during which he cannot attack or move. (3 post cooldown)
[Golden Horn]
Rhinomon envelops his horn in energy and then charges at its target with its golden horn, flinging the target in the air if it’s small enough (Anything up to champion digimon can be flung into the air this way, including armor champions. However, it doesn’t work on digimon of the ultimate level and up).
[Crown Jewel Barrage]
Rhinomon creates 12 big red jewels radiating with energy (not unlike those on his armor) around him and flings them at the target one by one at high speeds.
[Sword Of Trust]
Rhinomon creates a large golden sword at the top of its horn an launches it towards the target.
