Could it be said things had turned out to be a lot more complicated than they initially expected when they made this deal? Maybe not.
Considering they did not know much about Ganemon and they actually thought he was a bit fishy, to begin with (at least Ziggy and Amelie did), Lightspeed Rescue probably knew it was likely things acquired a level of complexity as the mission progressed. The plan? Getting back a treasure a certain Leomon had stolen from the Aka-Koka Family, in Re-Re Island, after the coin had failed to do so. The acquired difficulty? It had a name: The Mollusca Pirates.
The exchange between the crabs, the two humans, and the frog had finished with a sort of agreement, where they would try to help the Ganimon recover their territory (hopefully, on terms that did not involve anyone dying) and the little pirates would give them back the control of their ship.
That summed things up, pretty much.Although their trip to Leomon's Junk Island was not, by any means, a long one, it had been enough to allow the night to fall. The moonlight bounced off the sea in front of them, working as the only source of illumination. The fishing vessel of the galleon had proved to be fairly easy to drive. The only thing Pak needed was one of those pincers and a bit of focusing on the water road ahead. In around 20 minutes since their departure, the coalition would reach their destination. The scene? Pretty ugly. From up close, Junk Island was just like it sounded: a bunch of old, rusty, metallic trash, piled up together. Apparently, someone had carved through the parts to make some sort of roads, that seemed to be the path whoever lived here followed to get to places. "The last time we came, we noticed the southern side of the island seemed to be unguarded'ya. That's why it took them a while to notice we were planting a bomb here. So we should be fine leaving the boat here." Burb declared, still wary of his surroundings. "Around the rest of the island, Leomon's crewmates tend to be on the look-out'ya." Meanwhile, Pak hopped down the boat and into the metallic shore. The layout of the island consisted of piles of junk of different sizes, scattered around. Around what seemed to be the middle of the territory, a higher 'tower' of junk stood above. "I think that's where Leomon lives." Burb looked above, before ensuing silence. The captain let out a sigh. "Okay." He glanced at Amelie, David and Ziggy. "We said we were going to collaborate'ya, so we will. How do you want to do this? Want us to be purposefully captured by the guards so they take us to Leomon, or want us to make our way to the tower without anyone knowing we're here yet?" OOC: Inventory: -Ganemon's Map. It seemed like their trip towards Leomon's disgusting island had been pretty uneventful, thankfully enough; it seemed like the crab had decided to honor his part of the deal. That much had gone rather well. Now that they had landed... what was next?
Apparently, getting to where the Leomon was residing could be accomplished in a variety of ways, even if two seemed like the most 'logical' ones, so to say. Either sneaking or getting captured; which one would the group choose? The options were abound, and time wasn't precisely abundant while amidst enemy lines. Why they hadn't thought about this earlier? Well, in a sense, they had, but it seemed that some memories were hazy today! In any case, Amelie didn't have any problem with reminding them. Or even on providing additional options.
"Well, I thought we were sneaking in?" She piped in right afterward. "We kinda have two options, now that we know the layout of the island. I can make us invisible for approximately half an hour, but that thing ends as soon as you perform any kind of ability or in case you get injured in case there are traps or something along the way. I don't mind any method, so... I'll leave the decision to our fearless captain. What will it be?"
For now, Amy didn't mind going with the flow. In this situation, she wasn't the one that'd be over the details, not to say that David was the one that had decided to use this approach. It would only be fair that he to continue calling the shots until its inevitable conclusion, right? Or unless things got too dicey. In any case, the brunette would comply with David's decision, and the group could begin moving in Leomon's direction.

As night fell, and the adrenaline from his previous encounter wore off, David felt himself struggling a bit to stay awake. He had earlier broken his DS atop one of the Mollusca pirates, and Ziggy had convinced him to leave his backpack behind, mostly because of all the water around. David had agreed and dropped it into a Digiport into his room, keeping only the items he had found on the adventure thus far in his pockets. He didn't want to lose any more of his posessions. And so, without anything to keep his mind stimulated, he tried to keep himself awake by being as engaged in the conversation as he possibly could, interjecting some sort of short positive affirmation at every sentence.
"Wait," Captured by the guards? "You mean there's more digimon here than just the Leomon?" Was this mentioned before, or had he simply forgotten? Either way, this certainly complicated things.
"Doesn't matter," David retorted, finished with a giant yawn. "If we're invisible, then nobody will know."
While that was certainly true, it wasn't very forward-thinking. Sure, being invisible and sneaking past any guards could get the IN, but what about after that? They could get in within a half-hour, but back out? Probably not. Not to mention that they needed to talk to Leomon, which would certainly be made more difficult if Leomon couldn't see them. And if things got nasty, it meant they could easily be flanked. However, Ziggy didn't want an argument at this point, so he kept his mouth shut. Besides, he was more confident now that he knew Amelie could likely hold her own, and they had new crabby allies. Probably.
"So it seems like we're sticking to the original plan. Go invisible and go straight to the source." Some treasure is calling. Your tower is falling. Our ship will elude you. Gunna make it a Lightspeed Rescue.

While the exchange of ideas continued, both Pak and Burb turned to Ziggy as the frog formulated his question. "Yes. Actually, I think that stupid beast usually stays inside the tower ya'. We did mention Leomon was the leader of a crew, didn't we? The ones guarding the island and the perimeter around the tower are Liollmons, Leomon's crewmates ya'."
Pak took the chance to give a bit more information. "If I recall correctly, we saw seven of them when they arrived. There could be more, though."
That was an interesting piece of data to have. Knowing the exact amount of enemies they could be facing in a potential battle was something good.
Once the decision had been taken and Amelie had conducted whatever type of witchcraft she was planning on doing to make them invisible, the group could start moving.
"We should still keep ourselves off the roads." If those could be called roads. "Last time, I believe Liollmons found us because of our smell, so even if we're invisible... they can detect us if we get too close to them ya'" Burb's comment sounded like something important to take into account.
The coalition started walking through the most 'scrappy' part of the scrapyard, basically moving over piles of metallic garbage as quietly as they could, always keeping the giant tower in the horizon. From the hills of junk they traveled, they could see a couple of small lions walking around the island, seemingly looking out for anything odd. Luckily, they had kept away from the roads, so the small beasts couldn't quite catch their scent from there.
They still had to walk for some more minutes, so a bit more of conversation was to be held. "Are you planning to talk to Leomon about whatever you came here to look for, too?" Pak asked. That was, in all honesty, a fairly valid question. What in the world had brought these humans (and frog) to this island? What could have Leomon that was of interest for them? They still had kept that in absolute secrecy. Whatever was their objective, the Mollusca Pirates couldn't help but wonder what type of approach were they planning on taking on their own mission.
And, actually, maybe that was a question the crew should ask themselves. What were they going to do regarding the stolen treasure they had to recover? Were they going to ask Leomon to just please give it to them? Could the crabs know anything about this?
Considering in a couple of minutes they were going to be fairly close to the tower where Leomon lived, it was probably a good idea to decide soon. As well as deciding if they wanted to tell Burb and Pak anything about it. How much of an ally did Lightspeed Rescue consider the Mollusca Pirates to be?

While the odds of this mission succeeding were improbable at best, Amelie was still plenty sure that it was the most interesting course of action. And hey, for a change, she'd love to be proven wrong; maybe she was just too jaded. In any case, they were good to go! "Hope you mind the sliminess! It's morphing time!"
A ring of fractal code surrounded Amy's left hand while she held her D-Tector with her right. What happened next was more than obvious. The result? A couple of seconds afterward, Heraldmon's imposing visage had replaced the human's while a tendril moved to touch everyone present. Kinda uncomfortable, but it'd do the trick; an unequivocally weird sensation would invade everyone. Just like that, they were invisible.
I can't quite hear you all like this, so if you want to 'talk' to me, you gotta touch my body and think about the message you want to convey. It's a bit hard at first, but I'm sure you'll get used to it in no time!
As expected, that message was conveyed directly into everyone's minds, and while the feeling that accompanied it wasn't exactly pleasant, it wasn't harmful either. Once that was taken care of, the tendrils would retract and the group was ready to advance forward. What about the questions that the crabs had asked? Well... unless they referred to Amy in a way she could 'hear' them, chances are that David and Ziggy would have to answer those.

So it seems they were told about it beforehand. The disembodied narrator giving commands had either missed that or forgot, and thus Ziggy did, too. Still, invisible would work well. As the only deterrant to that plan was the Liollmon guard's sense of smell, it wouldn't prove a problem as long as they stayed downwind so their scent didn't carry to them.
Before they all set out, Amelie had to do her thing. She let out a morphin' call and transformed into....something. David found it hard to parse exactly what he was looking at, and even harder to describe. It was as if someone took the appearance of the ethereal wings of the angel of death and draped them over an amorphous horrorterror from the furthest ring, then gave it bone armor. Simultaneously the most cosmically beautiful and pants-shittingly terrifying thing in quite possibly the known universe. And now that thing was reaching out with a noodly appendage to touch a small boy.
David visibly recoiled and tensed up as he took a half-step backward. It was just Amelie, he had to tell himself over and over again, in an effort to stop himself from at least moving away. It did work, though barely. His whole body was tense and shivering and when the tendril finally made contact, it sent the coldest chill down his spine. Only now did he notice his teeth were clenched so tight that any more force might threaten to crack them. On the plus side, any sense of exhaustion that had been overtaking the boy was forcibly ejected. The feeling of actually going invisible was an odd sensation as well. Sort of slimy? Squiggly? Not quite, but close. It was hard to say beyond that it just felt incorrect.
Even when that was over, more unpleasantness was to follow. The Lovecraftian abomination that was Heraldmon spoke directly into their minds. But it didn't feel like spoken words. Well, they were spoken. David definitely "heard" them, but the sensation was more akin to having the words hastily scribbled with a piece of sloppy wet chalk onto the blackboard that was his brain. It wasn't harmful, but never in his short life had David wanted anything to end quickly so badly before.
David wasn't sure how long they had been walking before Pak asked his question. In fact, he doesn't even really remember beginning to move. Everything was so vastly unsettling that his body must have sort of gone into auto-pilot as he just blindly followed the crabs leading the way. It was only when Pak asked, again, about their goals here that it snapped him out of it.
"Ye-yeah. We'll ask for the thing and then go." David's speech was more low and monotone than normal. He even spoke with a slower cadence, more like a regular person than the hyper ball of energy he usually was.
Ziggy, on the other hand, could fill in some gaps. He wasn't nearly as mentally scarred by Heraldmon as David was, seeing as this being was just another digital being. Nothing abnormal about it. Not at all. From his position on David's shoulder, a fin wrapped around the back of his tamer's head, softly caressing in an attempt to be calm and comforting.
"He stole something from our..." What was he, exactly? Friend? Acquaintance? No. Ziggy finally settled on "client. Once we get it back, we have to deliver it. Of course, we'll also try to help you out with your thing, as well." Some treasure is calling. Your tower is falling. Our ship will elude you. Gunna make it a Lightspeed Rescue.

In their case, the couple of crabs had not been able to remain as calm as David did. As soon as the giant abomination appeared, they took several steps back, Pak actually letting out a very audible ‘what the…!?”. Their fear did not seem to be coming from the fact this was an unknown creature. Much like Ziggy, they recognized it as a digital lifeform and that was not really unknown for them. It was the fact it looked very imposing and definitely stronger than them what fretted the pair. After some breathing and ‘dialoguing’, Pak and Burb were able to continue walking next to the invisible monster.
“I see…” With a ‘hmmm’, Pak mused about the situation.
Burb made his own point of view clear next. “I personally think you’re crazy for thinking Leomon will give you back a stolen treasure ya’. But then again, your approach is to talk that beast into giving us back our territory, so I’m really curious to see how you’re going to try to do that.”
It was, actually, an interesting premise. However, the Mollusca captain did say something more!
“If I had to guess, I would say that stupid beast stores treasures somewhere around the tower ya’. I don’t even know where Leomon resides in the tower. But judging by that monster’s ego, I would say it’s probably up top.” The pirate seemed pensive about this matter, but… “Whether that is upstairs or downstairs, I don’t know ya’.” Then again, maybe that was not so important if Leomon was going to willingly give the treasure to them, right? It was clear the crabs were already thinking that was not a plausible option.
In any case, they would probably get the time to discuss all of that later. In front of them, they could see the giant junk tower a lot closer. The group was positioned over a small hill some meters above the ground and several meters away from their destination (in order to keep their scent hidden). They were at the east side of the tower, being able to spot a pair of Liollmons around the entrance of the building. The door was big enough to fit Heraldmon (maybe?) but…
“If we want to keep ourselves out of the radar, going through that door with those guys there doesn’t seem like an option.” Pak noted accordingly.
After staring for a couple of minutes at the tower, Burb seemed to have concluded something Then, he went to put one of his pincers over one of Heraldmon’s tendrils. While he spoke to David and Ziggy, he also tried to convey his thoughts towards the monster. “I’m shuffling some options. Maybe your crewmates have something else in mind ya’
-We can cause a distraction, hoping the Liollmons move from their spot and going in. Naturally, going through the front door has the advantage there must be some sort of path to follow or indication so we won’t get lost inside the tower ya’.
-We can move from this hill to go around the tower and try to look for some entrance around the back. The disadvantage there is taking the risk of getting lost inside that pile of junk ya’, but saves us the trouble of having to cause a distraction and allows us to go all together.
-If any of you can fly, we can try to look for an entrance from up top ya'. That option is not too different from the one I just mentioned, in both advantages and disadvantages.”
Still touching the monster, the captain added the last possibility. “Or… maybe, you have another plan ya'. If so, we’re listening.”
Whatever it was the approach they took, one thing was for sure:
It was showtime for Lightspeed Rescue.

The group advanced impassively towards their destination; a giant tower of sorts. Of course, the whole thing was probably made out of junk, and it was disgusting, but luckily, Heraldmon wouldn't be able to watch (or smell) the dubious structure. Instead the group would be presented with a variety of options, most of which seemed reasonable, but... not optimal. Not like the crabs could be blamed regarding their lack of knowledge regarding the aberration's abilities.
Well... if there aren't any traps inside the tower and assuming it isn't protected by an ability or such, I can actually just... have you all phase through the wall. I can 'fly' as well, so we can just get to the roof and phase inside, directly into the Leomon's chamber. Of course, as I just said, that has its own fail state, so we're just guessing at this point. What do you think is the safest method to enter? I personally don't mind acting as bait either, considering that I can distract the Liollmons while you enter the tower, then just turn invisible and catch back to you. There's a lot we can do.
In a sense, Amelie felt obliged to leave the choice to David and Ziggy; mostly because the former was the most fragile member of the group, and because the latter truly had the kid's welfare among his chief interests. He'd probably come with the most reasonable choice, considering he was pretty smart himself.

"Yeah...fly." He still hasn't quite snapped out of it, and his voice is low, almost as if mumbling to himself. He did still have contact with Heraldmon, and did indeed think the words with the intent to convey them, but only slightly and subconsciously. if Amelie could hear the words, if "hear" is even the right word to describe the sensation that Heraldmon would use to interpret the thoughts, it would seem soft or far away. Regardless, it seemed that David was amenable to the idea of just skipping on right ahead. And who knows? Maybe being pulled skyward would jostle him out of whatever funk this is.
Ziggy actually liked to let Amelie do the heavy lifting for this part. She seemed oddly suited to the task and, honestly, the less that could be entrusted to the Mollusca crew, the better. "Flying sounds kinda cool? Actually?" Ziggy had always dreamed of flying, and he felt incredibly safe with a digimon as strong as the one Amelie was wielding now. His old trepidation about this whole mission, while still there, was significantly lessened. Confident that he wasn't the only line of defense between David and Leomon and whatever else there was here, he was content to let David continue on this adventure of his. "Whenever you guys are ready."

At first, no one could deny the two crabs looked fairly surprised. Not only because Amelie’s evolutions held more tricks that a Swiss Army knife, but also because she was heavily simplifying things for the alliance.
In all honesty, they believed expecting the tower to have some sort of protection was probably overestimating Leomon and the pack of beasts that followed the pirate around. And they wouldn’t be mistaken. After getting ready and taking off (whatever was the flying method Heraldmon used) the group would quickly make it to the top of the tower, which had a shape… just as weird and deformed as the rest of the structure.
Once they had gone in through the roof, they would find themselves inside an 80 square feet room, with only about 15 feet of height. Could Heraldmon fit in here? Or would she have to go through everything to keep herself ‘in’ the room? Better be careful and not alerting anyone by, you know, actually destroying the highest room in the building.
The chamber itself looked like a pretty simple, uninteresting lookout room, with giant ‘windows’ –more like giant holes without junk- in every direction, that allowed to see the landscape through the territory. Thankfully, there did not seem to be any lion on the lookout, although it made sense they would pick the highest spot in the whole island to see if there’s danger incoming. The thickness of the clouds on the horizon did not allow them to see their own ship, and that was a good thing.
Now they had arrived, the crabs jumped off Heraldmon. Burb turned towards Ziggy and David, going for an obvious question. “What should we do now'ya? Are we looking for the treasure room or going straight towa-?” The sound of paws coming closer alerted them. Some seconds later, two Liollmon entered the room through a rusty spiral staircase, located at the eastern side of the room.
“You knew from the beginning this is why we came here. We won’t stand a chance at Grimway unless we train properly.” The two of them had basically the same voice, so it was hard to even tell the beasts apart. Physically, the only difference was one was wearing some type of cloak and the other wasn’t.
“Why do we have to go to Grimway, anyways? This is a quiet place. I like it here.”
“Well, you still get to enjoy it. There is still plenty of time before we’re ready to take on those…” While they trailed around the room towards one of the windows, one of the lions stopped. “Crap! I forgot my coat!”
A bit incredulous, his partner quirked an eyebrow. “Again? Where this time?”
The uncloaked Liollmon dashed towards the spiral staircase before blurting out an answer. “Back in the dining hall, be right back!”
“But that’s all the way up to the second floor!” The one staying at the chamber raised his voice. No response, his partner was gone. The lion let out a sigh, making his way back to one of the windows. Suddenly, he stopped. He was sniffing the air.
His eyes started to widen. Did his nose detect something? What now!?

Floating towards the cusp of the tower had proven to be remarkably easier; would that mean that the rest of this quest would be easier as well? Probably not, but they could always think about unknown problems when they presented themselves. Namely, the fact that the spire was a bit too big to support the perfect-level. The answer? Something that could be arranged, even if not quite simple.
This place is too small for this form. I'm gonna make you all phase into the tower; it'll be on you three to tell me if it's safe to enter or not. Once it's my turn, I'll have to devolve a bit in order to not make the whole structure crumble. And, as you might imagine, that's gonna make us unable to go invisible unless I evolve again. The other option is for me to wait outside and to whisk you away in case things go south or if you need to. Once again, I'm leaving the decision to you.
It seemed like the ultimate decision was for Heraldmon to hang outside, being at the ready in case things went south; just then, she'd barge into the tower, and a fight of epic proportions would probably ensue.
Got it. And don't worry about that. As long as you don't get attacked or attack yourselves, you'll be able to remain invisible. Take care. I'll be waiting outside.

Being picked up and jutted upwards pulled David out of whatever funk he had been in and shot his mind back to the forefront of reality. The whole sensation was new and amazing. Sure, he had flown before on airplanes and the like, so being high up wasn't a problem. In fact, this was quite the opposite. Feeling the wind blow through his hair and around his body, this must be what riding a Galaxy Glider through the sky feels like he thought.
From on high David, and Ziggy who was clutched towards David's chest, could get a good view of the whole island. While David just took in the sights, Ziggy made sure to be on the lookout for any structure or oddity on the island beyond just the tower. He made a particular effort to glance towards the area where the Mollusca Pirates had said they buried the bomb to look for any evidence that it had been found or disturbed. If he noticed anything, he'd point it out to David and have him relay it to Amelie since it'd be difficult for Ziggy to make physical contact with Heraldmon in his current situation.
Upon arriving on the top floor, it was exactly as expected, just a mass of metal bits somehow formed into a functioning structure that could actually hold their weight. It had to be magick, no doubt. Digital magick. Whatever that meant. Soon after, a couple small Simba-looking digimon made their way onto the top floor before having a short dialogue and one of them going back downwards. Kitty... Oh this probably wasn't good.
Meanwhile, Ziggy had turned his attention towards Amelie and kept hold of one of the tendrils to talk to her, though unsure of what answer he should give. On one hand, Amelie was a whole heck of a lot more powerful than anticipated, and it felt like nothing could go wrong with her by their side. On the other hand, having a hidden ace laying in wait outside the building did fit in line with the original plan. Through the contact, Ziggy's indecisiveness was transmitted to Amelie as well, maybe hoping for some of her input as well. If he got any advice from her, it would sway him towards that side. If not, "I think you should hang back, and be a surprise in case things go wrong. How far can we move from you and still be invisible, anyway?"
With Ziggy distracted by this conversation and Amelie outside, no one was watching to stop David from making an incredibly stupid decision. After one of the Liollmon went back downstairs, the child began to step slowly, as silently as possible, towards the one left. Sniffing the air left its head upright and exposed. If he could get close enough without it making any aggressive movements, emboldened by his invisible state, David would reach out a hand towards the mon's head. He was tense the whole time, ready to pull back in an instant should it snap at him or anything. It the event that David actually made contact, he would hook his fingers around the back crook of the lion's ear and give it some heavy intense scritches. If ever there is a cat, it must be pet. This is an immutable fact of the universe. Some treasure is calling. Your tower is falling. Our ship will elude you. Gunna make it a Lightspeed Rescue.

“W-Wha…?”
“W-What is he doing, ya’?”
The pair of desperate crabs tried to raise Ziggy’s attention, in order to let the frog know his tamer was attempting something… weird. Yes. Definitely weird. However, not being able to yell and being literally invisible was… an issue.
The Liollmon kept sniffing the environment, the scent of something else inside of the room getting stronger for him. It was actually taking the beast a while to determine what was going on, considering his nose could detect many different scents inside the same chamber. One, in particular, was getting stronger by the second, overshadowing the others. Why? Why was that smell so strong, even if he could not see anything? It was almost as if something invisible was just getting closer and closer!
Desperate by the uncertainty, the Liollmon decided he could only face this with some help, and even if he was scared this might be nothing, he decided to shout for reinforcements.
Facing the stairs that went down, the beast got some air to shout. “Hey! I think…” Without seemingly anything happening to him, the cat just interrupted himself, his words transforming into an “Ah~” and then some type of moan. Was he now… purring?
“H-Hey…” with a weaker voice and a very pleased expression, he tried to shout again, but words did not come out. He seemed to be enjoying whatever was being done to him too much, even if he could not explain what was going on.
In reality, it was clear for everyone in that room, except for the only visible creature, this was a consequence of David’s petting.
“H-He… managed to keep him quiet, ya’” Burb noted, astonished.
“D-Do you think that was planned, Major?” Pak asked, quirking an eyebrow, if ha had any.
Finally, the captain walked closer to Ziggy. Hopefully, the ModokiBetamon knew what was going on by now. “I think if the human stops scratching, that guy will shout out for help. What should we do? Should we leave him unconscious or… do you plan the human to stay here doing… that until we leave, ya’?” That was a fairly valid question, and a decision to make.
“Hey… this invisibility trick only lasts for thirty minutes, right? We should make the best out of it, tell us what to do with this guy and let’s go!” Pak whispered. “Where do you think Leomon might be?" The crab asked, his eyes shifting towards the Liollmon for a second. "...Maybe we can interrogate him?”
At the moment, there seemed to be multiple ways to approach the situation.

Ah, success. No kitty, regardless of size, can resist the inscrutible alure of pets. Now that the Liollmon was in exstacy, David relaxed himself and sat down next to the creature without retracting his hand or stopping the ministrations. Once comfortable, he brought his other hand up and gave it long soft strokes from the neck to the base of the tail, not really minding that he was petting a cloak instead of actual fur.
David has spent his entire life around cats. With the exception of the past few weeks, his family had always owned somewhere between three and five cats for his entire life. Because of this, David knew exactly how to give the Liollmon exactly what it wanted. He knew how to change the intensity of his motions based on how much force it pushed back with and how it moved. The smallest movements could show how much the digimon enjoyed or was made uncomfortable by any given touch, and David could alter what he was doing almost innately.
At some point soon after finding the best pattern, David got yet another idea. "Hey buddy," His voice was soft, delicate, and clear. It was that sort of voice one might use to talk to a young kid they don't know to make themselves less threatening. It was as welcoming as he could make it. "You're a good mon, aren't you? Yeah, you are. Do you think you could help me out? Do you know where That h- Where Leomon is?" He had to stop himself from using the full phrase of "that hideous Leomon," but beyond that, he kept up his forcibly kind tone.
Ziggy, meanwhile, could do naught but stare in amazement and horror. How in the name of Jesmon Christ Mode was his partner doing any of this and not being maimed? Some treasure is calling. Your tower is falling. Our ship will elude you. Gunna make it a Lightspeed Rescue.

While the group of aquatic digimon could only stare in disbelief, David was even interrogating the lion! He had fully dedicated to pleasure the beast, while the recipient only purred and moaned in excitement. Apparently, he was actually doing a very good job!
“Leomon?” He asked, still mesmerized by the petting. Slowly, it started lifting one of his paws, pointing at the stairs his friend had used earlier when he left. “You have to… go that way…” He answered among purrs. “... Once you’re on the floor below this one, go down a couple of floors more and you’ll find… the throne.” Did this Leomon use a throne? Maybe that was a bit too much…
In any case! That was more than enough information, probably.
Before they could decide what to do with this cat… the roar of an explosion reached their ears, the tower shaking right after. Not even three seconds later, the sound of an alarm reached their ears. Although it sounded rudimentary and 'rusty', even, it proved this place bestowed a more complex technology than it looked like. What in the world was going on? There was even some type of glowing, red siren covering the environment, while the sound of the alarm echoed throughout the tower.
“Attention, everyone in the building.” The sound of a voice, coming from speakers the ones at the highest room of the tower could definitely not see, reached them. “We have an intruder in our tower, search the area immediately and find it." Apparently, it was a message issued for the whole settlement. "Anti-air shields have deployed. The defensive squad is in charge of calming Lady Leomon down before she…”
“WHAT IS GOING ON!?” The roar of a very-angered female voice could be heard through the speakers. “Nevermind…” A sigh could almost be heard from the other side. “Who dares entering my settlement!? I’m gonna’ crush them!” “Lady Leomon, wait…!” The connection was abruptly interrupted.
“Did they find us!?” Pak asked, sounding honestly fretted.
“I don’t know'ya!” Burb ran immediately towards the edge of the stairs and looked down below “There is no one coming yet.” Immediately, they turned towards David and Ziggy. “There’s no time for petting the cat! We have to decide what our next movement is going to be right now!”
What would such a commotion mean for Amelie, then? Well, the vibration of the explosion reached her, too, even if her lack of senses would probably not allow her to see what was exactly going on. However, she would feel how a relentless, unstoppable force dragged her down, pulling from her with massive strength. She was not being pulled down by something. Instead, it was like gravity in the area had risen considerably, making the ground lure her in with more strength than ever.
Flying or getting away from such pull was not an option. Would she find a way of cushioning her fall? And, once she was at ground level, what should her next move be, now that she had fallen on a side of the tower and couldn’t, by any means, fly?
The invisibility granted by Heraldmon could run out any minute now!
