Kayo, Kayo!
Welcome to the most amazing adventure you’ll ever face! Mighty enemies, unknown locations and a mystery bigger than life itself are waiting for you in the search for Astrivia! A journey that will take thousands of pirates craving for adventure to look for a lost city with the most amazing treasure you can imagine inside!
Confused? Let me tell you a bit of what’s cooking:
Name: Set Sail for Astrivia!
Number of Members Allowed: Unlimited!
People Needed: You need a group of at least two OOC users to form a pirate crew. If you want to join the plot by yourself or wish to have an extra member in your crew, you can always ask the GM (Me, the awesome Erika!) to give you a character to get in your crew if you want. But I can only give you one! I will be in charge of controlling this character and will introduce it to you in a cute profile bio!
Astrivia is a city that has been lost for over one thousand years. For many, it is only a legend, while some of us just know it is out there, somewhere!
According to old books and quills, Astrivia was an island made of valuable, ancient materials that were worth a fortune. Think of it as a city built of gold, but with many other valuable stuff composing the buildings and the streets! Isn’t it exciting!?
Treasure Hunters are a group of individuals who dedicate to finding valuable treasures. Around seven hundred years ago a Treasure Hunter embarked on a journey to find Astrivia, by the order of the king of Dapo Island, a very important island inside the Digital World. The king invested a lot of money to finance the Treasure Hunter’s journey. After twenty years from their departure, a package arrived at Dapo Island. It was addressed to the king and it came from the Treasure Hunter he had sent. There, they claimed to have found Astrivia, and even sent them a piece of the city inside the package. It was a transparent sphere that glowed intensively. In a letter inside the package, the Treasure Hunter declared they would start their journey back to Dapo to deliver the coordinates of Astrivia to the king, but no one ever saw the Treasure Hunter or their crew ever again.
Because of this, everyone said that Treasure Hunter was a liar, and the name of the Treasure Hunters has been stained since then. No one trusts Treasure Hunters and everyone claim they are nothing but a group of thieves. Hundreds of years have passed, and everyone just convinced themselves that Astrivia was nothing but a legend.
That’s the way it was, until around a month ago. See... this?
Do you know Re-Re Island? It’s a huge island, located some miles north from the Whitewater City’s shore. Why is it important? Well, they have the most important institute of subaquatic research in the whole Digital World, known as the ISR. They received a stress signal. It seemed to come from a device that worked with a type of technology that was unknown to them, so they couldn’t say where the signal was coming from. However, they were able to decrypt a tiny part of the message. Which is exactly what you can see there.
Don’t worry! I took the time and translated it for you.
Does that ring a bell for you? Well, of course, it doesn’t! Because those are a bunch of fools! The only thing they did right at the ISR was to discover the technology they used to send this signal was the same technology of a certain item they had studied years ago. Can you guess what it is? It was that sphere the Treasure Hunter sent to the king of Pabo Island over seven hundred years ago! The signal came from something made of the same unknown material.
Of course, that might not be enough to actually believe Astrivia exist, right? Well... remember that message? People noticed if you rearrange things a bit...
There!
Can you imagine what happened after that? Humans and digimon from all over the Digital World have started thinking Astrivia might be real and they have sailed on a journey to find the ancient city. Some of them do it just for the sake of adventure and knowledge while many wish to put their hands on the treasure that might be lying in there.
And now… Enter me! Erika. I’m a Treasure Hunter and a wanted criminal on this journey to clean the name of all of the treasure hunters that ever existed and show everyone Astrivia was always real. And, of course, getting my hands on that treasure in the process. But I can’t do this alone! I need a crew for that. And YOU should be a part of it. If you do, I’ll show you why I’m valuable, even if I don’t have a digimon.
Why am I a wanted criminal? Oh... That's an interesting story! If you join my crew, I'll definitely tell you! But don't worry, I'm not a bad person!
Goals: This plot is not directly related to any plot or subplot currently happening in the forum. Yet, it definitely shouldn't interfere with any of them.
Rules/Clarifications:
1. How to join?
There are two ways of joining this plot:
-Join Erika’s crew: Erika is looking for two crewmates to fill her pirate crew: The Pirates of the Treasure. Even if she looks like a simple human, Erika has an amazing set of skills that will be of lots of help during your journey. She also is hiding a couple of very interesting secrets. If you want to join Erika's crew, you just need to join this mission.
-Form your own crew: As explained before, you can form your own crew and join the race to find Astrivia! You need at least two different characters (from two different OOC users) to form a crew. There is not a limit of members your crew can have. If you can gather five or six of your friends together to form a crew, be my guest! (You’ll have to split the treasures and the booze, though.) Remember if you want to play by yourself you can ask me for an NPC to join your crew. Having a character controlled by the GM (whether it's an NPC or Erika herself) on your crew doesn't give you any type of advantage over the other crews.
2. Then what?
You get a plot thread where your crew starts their trip. I will be the GM of that thread and we will have a lot of fun. Once that one is over, another one will start! Your crew will always have one mission or plot thread happening for them at all times, so no one gets bored!
3. Don't be scared!
Having a crew through this plot or joining Erika's crew does not involve by any means that you are part of a team. This is way simpler and takes a lot less effort, considering the GM (me!) will be the one running the plot threads your crew is going through and you'll only take part on a plot thread at a time. So don't worry, your time is safe. You are basically just adding one active thread at a time to your list of threads by joining this plot. A very fun thread. So don't worry about this plot cluttering your number of active threads.
4. Commitment is important!
Any plot thread or mission will have a three days grace period that will be enforced unless the member who doesn't comply states a valid reason for their delay. If any of your crewmates can't continue participating in the plot, we'll get you a new one, but let's try this doesn't happen!
5. Be willing to have big threads!
Even if the plot posts will probably be short enough, you have to consider every crew is taking different directions from the start and will most definitely meet sooner or later, since they are pursuing the same objective. Battles, alliances, and teasing between crews will be super fun! But you have to be prepared to take part in 4+ members' threads.
6. Everyone is invited!
Every crew will always have one plot thread going for them and I can promise you they will be very entertaining. In this regard, I am willing to take up to eight crews participating in this plot simultaneously. Since there is no limit for the number of users who can form a crew, there will most likely always be open spots!
7. You control your own time!
I am not going to tell you how to manage your character's timeline. The fact that you are in a crew doesn't mean your character is bounded to be on a ship or traveling the Digital Wolrd with the sole purpose of finding Astrivia without being able to do anything else. ICly, the crew can split and reunite between each thread if you want to. I am not trying to complicate anyone's individual plot.
Crew Template:
If you want to form your own crew, this is the template you must complete and post down below.

Crew’s drive: Why do they want to find Astrivia? Curiosity? Research? Wealth? Or do all of the members of your crew have a particular motive? Just explain that here in a few words.
Crew’s color: For differentiation purposes, each crew must have a color that identifies them. Make sure to not pick a color that’s already taken by another crew!
Are you recruiting? Just say Yes or No! If you are recruiting that means you want other users to contact you in order to join your crew.
So… that’s pretty much it. Who’s ready to join the adventure of their lives!? Set Sail for Astrivia!
