“So… this is what you call a Holo-Suit, huh?”
Ever since returning to the human world, Yuko had to deal with the very real problem of hiding her partner Digimon from public view. That task was made harder by Jokermon’s stubborn refusal to devolve into a smaller, easier to hide form, unless it was absolutely necessary. Enter the Holo-Suit, a nifty add-on designed for that very purpose, allowing Digimon to masquerade as human beings.
With the simple click of a button, Jokermon assumed the appearance of a tall, handsome man with pale skin and long, platinum blonde hair that covered his right eye. Granted, his outfit still looked gaudy as hell, because even when trying to pass off as a ‘normal’ human, the Clown Prince still felt the need to wear a bright purple dress suit adorned in peacock feathers and colorful flowers. “Fantastic! This is exactly what human me should look like!” The former jester exclaimed, while admiring himself in front of a full body mirror.
“Well, you won’t exactly blend in with the crowd looking like that, but at least it’s a step up from being a one-eyed clown demon.” Yuko snarkily remarked. Truth be told, hearing Jokermon’s eccentric voice coming out of a human body felt kinda weird to her.
That was when the door clicked open, much to the young Tamer’s sudden shock. In walked a dark-haired woman carrying shopping bags in both hands. “Sweetheart, I’m home! Today’s spree was great! I even got you some new clothes…” The familial resemblance was stunning, leaving no question of who this woman was. She basically looked like an older, more endowed Yuko. Upon taking her shoes off and getting to the living room, Hana Himura dropped her bags, realizing that her daughter was not alone in the house. “Yuu, honey… Who is this strangely dressed man?”
“M-Mom, I can explain!” The young delinquent said, sweating bullets. Luckily, she was pretty good at coming up with bullshit excuses on the fly. “This is… uuuuhh… my French teacher. Jack… White. His name is Jack White! He’s from Europe.”
“Mr. White… are you my daughter’s teacher?” Hana turned to the man curiously.
“Enchanté, mademoiselle…” Jokermon - no, Jack White - replied in a flawless accent, walking up to Yuko’s mother with a confident strut and kissing the back of her hand. “I came here to make sure Yuko wasn’t slacking on doing her homework.”
Hana blushed heavily at the sudden attention she was getting. “Oh my, how thoughtful of you… Would you like to stay for some tea?”
“With such lovely company, how can I refuse?” Mr. White said in a sweet, suave tone, smiling warmly.
Yuko visibly cringed at the sight of Jokermon flirting with her mother. “Ugh… If you two will excuse me, I’ll go upstairs to throw up into the toilet.”
However, the two of them hardly noticed her absence. In fact, they talked for quite a while longer, Yuko hearing their laughter from up in her room. She had never seen her mother act like this for a man before. Things were only gonna get more complicated, as Hana finally came upstairs a couple of hours later to check on her daughter.
