Her freezing attack didn’t work at damaging the tongue enough to stop it from drawing her in. The omegashutmon growled a bit and finding that her sword wasn’t doing her much good at the moment either. It’d clatter to the side as She’d grip at the tongue with both hands, trying to pull it away from her. She just didn’t have a good way of slowing down the petaldramon from pulling her in. Her feet wouldn’t make a good purchase against the ground and that was that.
The omegashutmon had maybe a moment before that beak closed in sharply around her and after that? Well she felt such intense pain around her forearms, stomach and back that she couldn’t help but let out a scream of pain. It hurt, to the point of where she almost blacked out from the sheer intensity of it.
Given the unarmored portion that the beak had slammed into the shutmon wasn’t in any real position to stop that beak from damaging her. Nor was she ready for the attack itself. Her form flickered and the Omegashutmon growled in pain.
Though her body struggled and twisted for a moment, it was apperant that the petaldramon had won out in this encounter. The light that had surfaced earlier snapping away the empowered form and the beak would rest against a much smaller much weaker form of the renamon.
Who was gagging in pain from that snap, her midsection coated in the stuff of the attack earlier. She wasn’t going anywhere anytime soon as the petaldramon had just claimed it’s first victim! The renamon growled out somewhat lamely and tried again to pull at the tongue that was practically engulfing her lower body and chest.
”Fuck… Fuck… Fuck!”
Log: -The severe hit to the lower part of the unarmored portion of silence’s omegashutmon form yielded some fantastic results… For the petaldramon. -Silence has de-digvolved to renamon from the sheer damage to her and her frame.

By the time Gigasmon threw a rather large rock at him, Demi was already running toward the evil Digimon with his shield in front of him. Tucking his head down to protect it from the Rock Wrecker attack, the SaintMeramon didn't slow down at all. The fire Digimon just kept charging in without thinking about the impact of his shield meeting that rock. The sheer size of it might be enough to knock him down if he didn't have the forward momentum. To be fair, Demi was kind of afraid under his Chrome Digizoid Armor helmet. It wasn't that it was going to hurt, it was just that he was trying to charge into something half his size and most sane Digimon would rather dodge rather than try to tank it.
As the boulder and shield impacted, Demi almost lost his footing from the shock. His energy shield shattered in pieces but it did what it was supposed to do, protect him from one hit. Seeing that the Gigasmon decided to charge into him at full speed, the fire giant simply grunted and moved his lance so that it would be the first thing that the D-Reaper's ally would face, but he did have doubts that it would do so. Seeing that the Gigasmon only had his right arm left, that meant that he would be only able to hit from the right straight into his left Bionics arms. Which was perfect for Demi. The fire giant Digimon would have to make sure to get one clean hit on the evil Digimon. He would have loved to use his lance on it but maybe going for a big swing of his arm would be more accurate.
Or he could do both and hope for the best. Within seconds of getting face to face with the Gigasmon, Demi ultimately decided to place his left hand open so that he could try to grab the remaining arm if he would try to swing or punch at him. In fact, he would try to get punched so that he would be able to grab that arm. It is going to hurt but he hoped that he could control his remaining right arm and then leave him open for any other attacks. After all, Demi had both arms and a giant lance that he could use against the evil Digimon. regardless of if he could grab that arm or not, the SaintMeramon would try to plunge that tip of the lance into his right shoulder so that maybe he wouldn't have any good arm left. After that, Gio and he could go help Dio and leave the Gigasmon there for now.
Speaking of Gio, Demi knew that he would be blocking his view for any long-range attacks. He wanted Gio to have a few seconds to recover and get ready again to join into the fray. However, he did not share that plan with the Wargrowlmon so Gio might just see Demi as blocking him from doing anything at that distance.
Meanwhile, Desmond was still looking at his deck of cards. There wasn't much he could do to help the poor Dio. The blond tamer kept looking at Carlos and his partner and back in forth still without saying anything. Dio would have to face that Calmaramon on his own for now.
Combat Log
- Demi's' shield shattered upon impact with the rock! - Demi charged forward with the intent of grabbing Giagsmon's arm and strike the shoulder with his lance!

There was a feeling of relief once the Wargrowlmon's ears stopped ringing and he finally saw he was no longer fighting alone. He had forgotten how hard that was, having depended on his brother to cover him for a while now. But now was not the moment for that, he had to go and help Demi out, but there was one problem: he couldn't attack the Gigasmon at this range without risking friendly fire. Gio, not wanting to accidentally hurt Demi in the crossfire, did the only thing that seemed logical for him: he charged after the fire digimon, ready to take on the enemy in front of them, but as soon as the two were to clash he stood a bit behind Demi and did not attack. Instead his armor would give out a pulse of energy that would wrap around both himself and the SaintMeramon. The stream of data would dance and circle around the two harmlessly before slowly, gently integrating itself into them and filling up any pieces of missing code, open wounds and scratches. Healing the two at a slow, but steady rate and now that Gigasmon had his hands or rather hand full with two foes at the same time, maybe he wouldn't be able to damage them faster than they could heal. Unfortunately, it was now Dio's turn to be on the receiving end of punishment, as the Calmaramon once again forced that painful rain upon him. He grit his teeth, the pain from the rain and the red plaque growing on him slowly but surely building up. Neither him nor his foe had been able to do any serious lasting damage, sure, but as things stood she held a large advantage over his head, being able to consistently hurt him while staying just out of his own grasp. She might not be hitting as hard as that Gigasmon, but at this rate she would outlast him easily before any backup could arrive, and he was all too aware of that. And so was her, judging by the triumphantly smug air that surrounded her massive frame. And...Carlos knew it too, as it was clear by how he tightly gripped the Digivice in his hand. The now brightly glowing digivice, at that. "Carlos..." The demon suddenly muttered, feeling the sudden change in energy, as if a switch had been flipped and his body was being flooded by data. "It's a risk, but every second we waste here is another the D-Reaper grows in power...and that Silence's fighting on her own." The man thought to himself, letting out a sigh. All he could hope is they wouldn't be swarmed by something worse as he pressed the button of his small device. A flash of light later, the NeoDevimon had now grow in size quite a bit, as well as changed his entire form. The Belphemon may had still been somewhat dwarfed by the Calmaramon's giant frame, but the size difference was hardly what mattered to Dio. He now had something her foe also had. Range. With an almost sadistic smile on his muzzle, the demon let out a roar as he swung his arms forward, the chains wrapped around them loosening and reaching out as if they had a will of their own, intent on bringing down the giant squid. What could reach further, his chains or her tentacles? Only one way to find out. Gio follows after Demi and uses to try and heal some of the damage done to him and his friend. Dio gets tired of being poked by the Calmaramon's attacks and digivolves into Mega, before attacking with Chains of Torment.
[RAM Upgrade Giga Passive] Axon Charge:
Due to Gio’s rather odd upbringing and traces of his old demon lord data, his body and very core react to physical trauma in an different way. On top of an increased tolerance to pain, every time Gio receives damage from a named move he stores a part of the attack’s energy within him, giving him a charge. He can store up to five of these charges. Every charge gives him a 5% increase in damage to all of his named moves, though he loses a charge for every two turns without receiving damage. Furthermore he can spend all five charges to create a medium ranged explosion around him causing heavy damage to up to two targets, but can’t gain charges for the next two turns.
Axon Charges: 4/5 Damage increase: 20%
Regenerative Field: Releases a small plasma pulse in a small area around him, regenerating the damaged data of up to three allies, healing them all for 20%. 5 turn cooldown.
[Passive] Mark of Sloth: This ability allows this digimon to set a target ablaze for two posts every time they deal damage with an ability. Instead of damaging the enemy however, the flames sap the energy from the digimon, slowing down their movements significantly. Can only proc every three posts after the mark has expired, and it may only affect one target at a time.
Chains of Torment: Wielding one of the many chains coiled around his body, Belphemon whips the flaming chain in a sweeping motion in front of him, causing medium damage up to three targets in front of him. Additionally, the afflicted targets will be rooted in place by spectral chains for one post. Four posts cooldown.
Cooldowns:
Bloody Claw Barrage: (2/3)
Red Ray (1/3)
System Shock: (3/3)
Chains of Torment: (0/4)
Plasmic Salvo: (3/3)
Ascalon Ray (1/3)
Regenerative Field (0/5)

One arm, two arms... the Gigasmon proved capable of bringing on the pain regardless of that condition! He would have preferred if the SaintMeramon would have just been flattened under that boulder, but at the very least that defense was shattered, and now he could square one on one with his new, fiery opponent. And unlike the wood elemental from minutes prior, the earth-attribute Digimon was much better equipped to deal with Demi's flames directly.
Indeed, the Gigasmon would try and swing at the SaintMeramon's midsection, as he came into close range, only to have his arm grasped by that fiery limb. Surely, in that instant, it would be easy for Demi to just line up that lance and -
"●︎♓︎🙵♏︎ ⧫︎♒︎♋︎⧫︎ ⬥︎□︎◆︎●︎♎︎ ⬥︎□︎❒︎🙵📪︎ ⧫︎♒︎♓︎⬧︎ ♍︎●︎□︎⬧︎♏︎!"
Scratch that, the Gigasmon went straight back to bar fighting. Sure, his arm was grabbed - but he figured, 'good luck lining up the weapon with what I'm about to do!' Well, more likely, he didn't think that at all, but he did pull his arm back - intent on pulling the SaintMeramon back with it - and moved to collide his rock-hard head against the Meramon's own. If he could find a way to line up that lance properly, the Gigasmon would take a heavy hit. But against this reckless powerhouse, that might be a tall order! Ah... Dio was finally pushed far enough to be forced into his mega form? The Calmaramon grit her teeth under that veil, and saw those chains flick over in her direction. Rather than compare the range of her tentacles to the chains, she instead decided to let those flick out and become entangled in the chains themselves - thus putting the two into a grabbing match. Should it work? Well, the chains would tie around the tentacles, and the tentacles would grip hard around the chains.
A hiss escaped her lips, as she would try and keep her grip as tight as possible. "♓︎♐︎ ⍓︎□︎◆︎ ⬥︎♋︎■︎⧫︎ ♋︎ ⬧︎♒︎□︎□︎⧫︎♓︎■︎♑︎ ❍︎♋︎⧫︎♍︎♒︎..."
Like this, it was going to be hard for either of them to gain - or lose - any distance! As for the Renamon trapped in the Petaldramon's beak, well, it would come as no surprise that the fox's struggling would do little against the much stronger beast's binding. Truly, she was in peril: her data signal dropped dramatically, and it would have been trivial for the Petaldramon to either bite again, or simply swallow his adversary and drag her further away from the fight.
Fortunately, there was one element of surprise he couldn't have accounted for - a powerful jet of water, fired from a high angle, right to the back of the Petaldramon's head. Already weakened by the SaintMeramon, the beast wouldn't take that hit well - it would collapse forward, bumping its jaw against the ground (causing an unfortunate, though weaker, bite across the Renamon's midsection), its grip around Silence weakening a moment later.
"That's what happens when these guys aren't finished off..." The Witchmon spat, swooping down on her broom next to the fox - giving the knocked-out Petaldramon a kick in his beak for good measure. Past that, she'd look over her shoulder, and let out a 'tch' at the sight of another spirit confidently striding in their direction.
And that stride quickly broke into a sprint. The Witchmon would raise her broom to block that crimson sword, easily pushed back several feet by one swing, as the Duskmon would growl.
"To think I could trust them to even keep their mitts on a catch..." His eyes would flick down to the wounded fox. "I'll just drag you back myself..."
Gigasmon still does not care for move descriptions. Calmaramon attempts to 'catch' those chains - and turn this into a mid-range shooting match. Oh, hello, Duskmon.

Somewhere deep silence knew it was very unlikely she’d be able to fight the petaldramon off, snarling and grunting as she tried to pull herself out of this creature’s mouth. To no real avail or effect unfortunately. She didn’t know what it intended; to bite. To swallow. To do something. Heck she was halfway expecting to just be half a renamon-
But that’s when that powerful jet of water that hit the petaldramon’s head, forcing it to do a weakened bite to her midsection causing the renamon to let out a sharp breath of pain as she felt the petaldramon’s beak sink into her already damaged midsection. If it had been a proper bite there was no doubt in the renamon’s mind that she would of probably had to de-digivolve further to save herself.
Silence didn’t have any time to herself as wicked came down, kicking at the head. She was still tangled up in the beast’s mouth and pulling herself out wasn’t going to be easy. She’d go to speak only to follow wicked’s eyeline. The other agent’s arrival made her blood run cold and she’d bite on her lower lip.
"Nothin's ever easy huh? Tch.."
She struggled to pull herself out of the petaldramon’s mouth and the tongue that had been wrapped around her. The agent was right in front of her, and it wouldn’t take much for him to stop her from healing or recuperating but she had precious seconds. Her shaky hands going to apply some aura to her midsection. She had wounds from the Striker and petaldramon to contend with. This new agent was fresh and she had to figure something out.
No card of hers would do well in this situation and the aura wasn’t that strong. If anything it’d just tide her over given the severity of her damage but… If she got it off? She had a few ideas that she could do. One of which was… Well. She was told that in this sort of state digivolving would put an incredible strain on her body. But what choice would she have? She felt her breath catch in her throat and her eyes locked onto the Duskmon.
Even after all the damage she had taken, the forced de-digivolution and the fact a new foe had shown up… She still had that fire in her eyes. In fact there was a scope of challenge in those eyes. Like she was going to draw a blade to fight the duskmon regardless of what form she was in.
"Look at this one. Fire in his core and blood on his blade. Tell the others. They need to know."
Silence widened her stance a little bit, every second counted and if she could give wicked even a moment to retreat to allow the others knowledge of what else lay in front of them? She figured that her weakened state wouldn't do much here and given the strength of the spirit in front of her she doubted that the witchmon would want to stay...
"Lets dance eyeball."
Log: -Silence pulls herself out of the petaldramon’s mouth -Silence attempts to use Aura to heal her midsection as it is the most damaged of her body.
Move: Aura: This digimon has a limited healing ability; it may focus it's energy onto itself or others for a small healing surge. Best suited for minor wounds. Has a two post cool down.

Demi felt the healing effect of Gio's Regenerative Field and it was enough to make to him recover to full health. Now he was ready to fight. With a smile on his face, the SaintMeramon braced himself to catch that arm and maybe even strike with his lance. As Gigasmon took a swing at his midsection, Demi managed to use his bionic arm to intercept and grab onto the evil Digimon's forearm. His lance pointed at the shoulder of his enemy and was about to strike when he felt his arm getting pulled toward the Gigasmon. Feeling his head get moved straight into a rather strong headbutt. Demi's head rocked back feeling a severe whiplash and hit. Almost losing his footing, the SaintMeramon did his best to hold on to that arm. Unfortunately, the D-Reaper's ally was a bit too close for his lance to be useful and his right arm didn't quite pack much of a punch compared to his left arm. With only a second to think, Demi used the momentum of the evil Digimon headbutt and let his whole body fall down to the ground while keeping his grip on the arm. The plan was to get the Gigasmon to lose his balance and fall on him leaving his back exposed to any attack Gio could inflict. With his heavy armored body, the fire giant closed his eyes and let gravity do his job as he felt the hard ground. His lance was out on his side to not hinder Gio and his right arm tried to grab whatever he could grab. But the most important was to keep the Gigasmon on him as he stayed down. While on his back, Demi would wait until Gio does something before using his Breath of Fire on the Gigasmon's face. They should be face to face if his plan worked. If the plan did not work at all, then the SaintMeramon would be prone to the ground and then he would be the one exposed. Hopefully, he would at least accomplish the first part of his plan, having the Gigasmon fall on him. Desmond saw Dio Digivolve into a winged demon and using chains toward the Calmaramon. Now could be a chance for Dio to get closer maybe. Placing a hand on Carlos' shoulder, the blond tamer showed his Ouryuken card. It was his strongest card but it might be something that could help the Belphemon win this fight. But he had to go closer for that to work. "Should we wait?" He asked, finally breaking the silence. "Do you have anything you could use to help Dio?"
- Demi gets hit by the Headbutt! - Demi falls to his back and tried to pull Gigasmon so he would fall on him! - Demi will use Breath of Fire if Gio attacks first!
Active: Breath of Fire: SaintMeramon can spew a breath of intense fire at close range. It is much stronger than a fireball but can only affect things that are in close cone radius. He can hold on the breath for a maximum of 5 turns, each increasing the heat but it takes that long to recover. It has a cooldown equal to the number of turns the breath lasted.

Gio kept his distance close to the SaintMeramon as he charged, ready to support him should the need arise. He snarled in anger as he saw the Gigasmon giving his teammate rather nasty looking headbutt for his troubles, but was quick to catch on to him grabbing trying to grab a hold on the Gigasmon on his way down. Realizing his chance, the Wargrowlmon made his move. He quickly rushed forward and swung his arm forward, aiming to intercept the Gigasmon's midsection with it as he fell forwards if the previous tactic proved succesful, otherwise he'd simply attempt to do the same on the standing Gigasmon, hoping his arm would still be too busy to actually block. If any of it was succesful? He'd grit his teeth as the armor on the arm would slide open yet again, before another salvo of electric missiles shot out from within it and hopefully blasted the Gigasmon point blank The Belphemon meanwhile found himself almost intoxicated with the sudden rush of power coursing through him, finally convinced he could pull this whole thing around. So imagine his utter furstration as he saw his foe moving immediatelly to try and negate his move. Again. As soon as he saw what the Calmaramon planned on doing? Well, a single curse would almost escape Dio's lips. "Oh, you BIT-" He was interrupted by the clanging of the chains hitting her many limbs, and the sudden force he felt pulling from his arms, causing him to grit his teeth and start pulling as well. Of course she couldn't simply let him have this one advantage. She had to make things harder for the two of them and wrap her own tentacles on and around his chains, pretty much keeping both of them rooted in place in a stalemate, both of them trying to keep the pressure on the others grip as much as possible. The demon let out a frustrated huff, glaring at the red squid with nothing but hatred in his burning eyes. "You crave for a slow death that much?!" He roared out, the back of his mouth glowing a bright red as he did. If allowed, he'd try to plant his feet into the red ground below and, should he find purchase, would take a step closer to the Calmaramon, then another, then another, wanting to slowly close the gap between the two. Range or not, he'd be a lot harder for her to shake off now in this form. Of course, he didn't stop at simply trying to walk up to her. His jaws parted as a massive beam of energy shot out, intent on blasting right through the upper body's chest. "Nothing, already used up all my cards for the day." The dark skinned man replied to Desmond, shaking his head as he glanced back to the grabbing match between the two digimon, biting his lower lip. "Unless you wanna use something now, is up to him to get any closer to her to make that card be worth a damn." Gio tries to go for a combo with Demi, and blasts Gigasmon with Plasmic Salvo if succesful, while Dio accepts the shooting match and opens it with Red Volt, trying to close in the distance all the while.
[RAM Upgrade Giga Passive] Axon Charge:

Plasmic Salvo: Fires off a salvo of missile shaped plasma projectiles out of his arms. Causes medium damage to a single target and lowers their defense by 30% for a turn. 3 Turn Cooldown.
Red Volt: An upgraded version of NeoDevimon's Red Ray. Gathering power from within and his surroundings Belphemon fires a massive red beam of destructive energy from his mouth, causing heavy damage and piercing through shields and armor. Three posts cooldown.

Well, talk about an aggressive, vengeful dragon!
Honestly, the SaintMeramon by himself would have been left in a precarious position. Fire-breath to the face or not, he more-or-less elected to be pinned by a giant Gigasmon who had one good punching arm left, and it wasn't going to look good for anyone stuck underneath him. He probably would have just wrenched his arm free and tried to punch that fiery Digimon to a pulp...
... If not for Gio bringing a strong metallic arm of his own to catch the Gigasmon's chest. He could barely get a word in edgewise, before that short-range barrage of missiles would pepper his chest, likely even catching Gio himself in the blast, forcing the Gigasmon backwards in a heap. Smoke rose from his body, the red plaque slowly receding, as the brute just groaned and let out a single, sullen word.
"Ow..." Dio's opponent, however, was much more fresh and raring to go than the Gigasmon. Near swears aside, with those chains held out, both the Calmaramon and the Belphemon were more-or-less set up for a gunning match - and despite the Belphemon's firepower, the Calmaramon was not about to back down. Her fangs clenched, stretching open to shoot another blast of corrosive ink towards the Belphemon's midsection. She wasn't just about to take a free shot to her midsection, either, leaning back to let the 'upper' part of her lower body get singed by that blast instead.
It seemed she still had a little bit of 'sway' she could use at this angle, too! The Calmaramon growled as the Belphemon tried to step closer: "⍓︎□︎◆︎ ❍︎♓︎⬧︎⬧︎ ❍︎⍓︎ ♏︎❍︎♌︎❒︎♋︎♍︎♏︎ ⧫︎♒︎♋︎⧫︎ ❍︎◆︎♍︎♒︎?"
Well, here attention was drawn forward... "Tch..."
'Tell the others'? The Witchmon almost spat at the thought, but looking at the Duskmon, well, she wasn't about to start picking a fight by herself. This was the Dark Area, and she would be damned if she started putting out her neck for someone she barely knew. It was with surprisingly little moral difficulty that the Witchmon plucked up her broom, and set herself off to leave.
That, of course, left Silence to 'dance with the eyeball' - though the Duskmon didn't dispose of such pleasantries himself. In fact, he never stopped his approach, and the bare second after Silence said that, the back of Duskmon's right fist would swing out, likely hitting the side of the Renamon's head - right at the temple - with an audible 'crack'. He didn't swing to kill, but at the same time, wouldn't give her the chance to heal.
It would be much easier to deal with this intruder while she was unconscious. At the same time, the Petaldramon himself started to stir, waking up once more...
... Only to feel the Duskmon's blade pierce right through his skull. The spirit's eyes opened white with surprise, a bright white flash of data pulsing through the dragon, as the two totems of the Wood Spirit fell right to the ground. Presuming Silence was still down, he'd lean in, grasp them in his left hand, and load them directly into his frame.
After which, he'd pluck up the Renamon by the scruff of her neck, and start to drag her back to the D-Reaper's den.

She knew that the witchmon wasn’t likely to stay, there wasn’t even a small portion of her that wished the other to do so. She knew the reality of the situation, the likelyness for failure if they weren’t informed of potential forms. Given time she knew that Dio, Gio and Carlos could do wonders. They would pick themselves up and stich themselves back together.
She extended the same courtesy to desmond and Demi without even a second thought. Her hands Gripping tightly as the duskmon didn’t even stop. Didn’t even consider her words. She felt sting of his blow against her temple. There was a flash of pain and she’d fall backwards against the petaldramon’s beak.
Her breathing was shallow, her eyes were struggling to stay open. But there was something inside of her that demanded that she stayed fighting no matter the instance. But her body wasn’t reacting. Her body wasn’t moving; there was pain throughout her frame. She saw through the darkened miasma that was her vision a blade approaching what seemed to be her…
Only to feel the petaldramon’s form give way behind her. Letting her fall back against the ground in surprise. She could feel that data moving from one to the other agent. It wasn’t hard to assume what just happened. That the petaldramon had just become the Duskmon’s meal. That likely meant that this duskmon was even stronger now. Given that they shared a nest… Who was to say what would happen to the data?
She felt the duskmon pick her up by the scruff of her neck, dragging her back to the Den. But he’d find something even with the renamon in a near catatonic state. A surprising something that gripped tightly around his gauntlet. The small of her claws scraping against it.
Even at what seemed to be death’s door for the fox, she was still fighting. She was still swinging. She hadn’t stuttered or stumbled. If anything there was a burning desire to keep fighting even as she felt the weight of the world crash down against her head. She'd growl; feeling the resounding pain through her body, through her throat, through her aching splitting skull.
"W.... wasn't... He... your... a-...ally..?"
There was no confusion in her voice, it was an earnest question. If she was to understand this correctly the duskmon had just slain another agent. Maybe there was something that would bring them back or the D-reaper could use them for something...?

Even as Gio found himself knocked back and somewhat singed by his own attack, it was still a relief to see the Gigasmon not only backing down a bit, but even that red plaque surrounding him receding. They had finally done some meaningful damage to him, and while he still wasn't down for the count, they were getting there. Taking advantage of this small reprieve he glanced to the side for a moment to look at how his brother was faring. It...wasn't all that encouraging of a scene, quite frankly. "Help Dio. I'll take him on." He said, turning to the SaintMeramon for a moment before turning back to the Gigasmon. Without another word he'd charge forward again, the blade on his arm glowing as he jabbed it forward, not intent on letting the Gigasmon have a single moment of respite to heal himself. Unlike the Calmaramon, Dio didn't have as much "sway" as he would have wanted and as such he had a harder time trying to dodge her attack, his attempt to try and lean to one side being only halfway succesful as some of that acid tar still made its way onto his chest, causing the Belphemon to grit his teeth and close his eyes, his entire body tensing as the acidic substance burned into him. It...hurt. It hurt with an intensity that shouldn't have been possible coming from an Ultimate, much less when used against someone a level higher than her. If anything it hurt more now than before he digivolved. Was this another perk earned from the D-Reaper? In spite of the pain however, the demon took another step forward, his eyes barely opening back into a squinty glare, his ever increasingly rage filled glare meeting Calmaramon's. He snarled, baring his fangs as a blue hued fire began lighting up all over his body. "Dodge this, then." With little warning beyond those words, the fire surrounding him would suddenly grow and expand, covering his entire frame first, then the area surrounding him, and unless Calmaramon let go or did something to move out of the way it would surely reach her as well. Gio goes on the offensive with Rending Blade against Gigasmon. Dio takes heavy damage from the Acid Ink before retaliating with Hellgate
Axon Charges: 3/5 Damage increase: 15%
Rending Blade: Slashes at the opponent using his Pendulum blades with blinding speed. Deals medium damage and has a 1 turn cooldown.
Hellgate: Belphemon gathers energy from his surrounding, before releasing it all in a powerful explosion of flames that devastate his surroundings (50 feet). If empowered by Dark Onslaught it will deal even more damage and cover a 150 feet area. Both versions of this attack are much more unstable than the rest however, and as such will also deal damage to any allies caught in the blast. Three posts cooldown.
Cooldowns:
HellGate: (0/3)
Red Ray (3/3)
Red Volt (1/3)
Chains of Torment: (2/4)
Plasmic Salvo: (1/3)
Ascalon Ray (3/3)
Regenerative Field (2/5)
Rending Blade (0/1)

Luckily, Demi's plan did work. Well, the first part of it but that was the important part. His goal of giving a clear shot for Gio to strike was his main goal and it seemed that the dragon did manage to give the Gigasmon a strong blow to the chest. With the giant Gigasmon backing away from him, the SaintMeramon had to stay down for just a second still a bit dizzy from that nasty headbutt. The fire Digimon used his lance to get up and shake away the pain as he rose back to his feet if a bit shaky. None the less, he had a fight to win and he wasn't going to let this one escape, not like the Petaldramon. After hearing Gio telling him to go help Dio, Demi nodded and then a distant but bright flash could be seen from somewhere on his left. Demi stood there, confused for a moment and not listening to Gio's suggestion. He looked at the Belphemon that was struggling with the Calmaramon and saw both tamers standing a bit further away. Due to his helmet covering most of his head, it was hard to see that the fire giant was looking at them but Desmond knew Demi and just by the angle of his head, he knew that he was looking at him but he couldn't know why he was doing so. Unlike Demi, The blond tamer didn't notice the flash in the distance. Demi looked at Gio, and then back at Dio. They were all here. Except for one, Silence. His head slowly turned to look at the hill where the flash came from. That flash could mean a lot of things. It could be a Digivolution or it could be something grimmer than that. A strange feeling of dread overcame his mind. What if that flash was Silence getting deleted? Looking at the sky for some kind of clue or something to tell him what to do next, he turned his attention back at Desmond for a second. He nodded at his tamer before running away from them without saying anything. He had to see if that was Silence or not. Desmond's jaw dropped a bit upon seeing his partner run away. It wasn't like him, running away from the battle. He knew that while not fearless, he wouldn't just abandon his allies like that. However, there was no real way to know why the SaintMeramon went running away and so fast as well. "Demi!" He shouted but didn't move just yet. The blond tamer knew that there was no way for him to catch him but what else he could do? As he began to move, he stopped instantly, The battle here with Carlos and his team was not over and now that they just lost their advantage in numbers, he felt that he should stay here and assist them. Clenching his Digivice, Desmond had to make a choice now. He took out his Ouryuken card. They might not be in close-quarter yet but that would give him a great weapon to use for a bit. He swiped the card on the side of his Digivice and targeted Dio with it. The Ouryuken blade would appear in the Belphemon's hands. "I'm going after Demi." The Frenchman said as calm as he could be. "I'll be back as soon as I can." And with that, Desmond began running to see what made Demi run away from them.

"Hm?"
Well, wasn't that a surprise: his first blow wasn't enough to knock the Renamon out. Feeling those claws curl around his gauntlet, the Duskmon spared the box a glance, and simply gave a huff. As he walked, the fox's legs would roughly drag against the hardened surface below. Should he even entertain her questions?
... He saw no reason not to.
"An ally? He reached his end - he served his purpose for the fight." The Duskmon's voice was rough and certain, not an ounce of feeling of loss in it. "He proved weak. But you, I can tell: you have potential."
To that hopeful phrasing, however, he'd let out a growl underneath the mask. "Potential - but you don't have a lick of sense of how to use it."
And that would be the extent of their conversation, at least for the moment. The Duskmon then doubled his pace, picking up to a sprint as he would make his way towards the center of the den. Strange... did he feel something shift back at the battlefield? Was it a sign help was coming? Thankfully, there wasn't too much left to the Gigasmon. That 'Rending Blade' would easily sink into the golem's chest - the golem giving a frustrated growl, as he reached up his one good arm to grip tightly around the gauntlet. What Gio would feel there, if he managed the grab, was a tight vicegrip - one that threatened to shatter the bones underneath the dragon's arm.
... A pity that was all he could do, in the end. He'd give a grin, his own frame unraveling into white pieces of code, leaving behind the two spirits of earth that composed his frame.
That, of course, left Dio - who at this point might have seemed miles behind in his own fight, but who could blame him against such a frustrating opponent? Hot steam rose off where that acid hit, the two keeping a tight hold on each-other. It was about then that the Belphemon started to give off quite a damning display... and it was clear the Calmaramon couldn't dodge from this range, whatever it was.
So why bother? Whether by pulling on the chains to drag him closer, or pulling herself closer to the target, she'd grit her teeth as those flames washed over her - sheer torture for the water type, quickly drying out and scalding her scales - but she'd try and put herself right next to the Belphemon, and wrap those tentacles around him at close range. She'd growl, and mutter under her breath...
"●︎♓︎🙵♏︎ ♓︎🕯︎♎︎ ♎︎□︎♎︎♑︎♏︎. ⬥︎♏︎🕯︎●︎●︎ ♌︎♏︎ ⧫︎□︎♑︎♏︎⧫︎♒︎♏︎❒︎ ♐︎□︎❒︎♏︎❖︎♏︎❒︎, ♎︎♏︎❍︎□︎■︎." Demi and Desmond would make their breakaway to the hill - but it wouldn't be so easy to catch up to their target! Perhaps it was just a bad idea to split up the group even further...
... But, by luck, someone was flying by to alert the group already! Seeing the SaintMeramon blitz by, the Witchmon started her descent below, and landed right next to Desmond.
"Tch... rough here, too?" Wicked swore under her breath. "The group's got their mitts on the Shutmon. She ain't dead yet, but... well, I don't like her chances. You know how the twins are doing?"

His words were muffled, the sound was muffled. Everything felt strange and distant. His first word just felt like a vibration through her body. Silence could barely feel her legs dragging against the surface. She could barely feel the gauntlet that she gripped. He entertained her question but there was a part of her that wished that he hadn’t.
There was no loss. No emotion. No nothing. He had no attachment to the other. He had served his purpose and reached his end. He proved weak but it was her potential that made the duskmon step in. Then came that biting insult; how she didn’t have any idea how to use her potential.
That was another that saw her flaws, another that saw what she was. Another that hit her right where it hurt. The fox felt a spark of anger at his words and tried to pull herself away from the other but… The doubling of the pace made it difficult for her to even move properly and her grip weakened before falling off completely. She’d grit her teeth, watching where they came from grow more and more distant. What had happened to require him to move like this?
Unless… help is coming…?
What else could it be? The fox couldn’t think of anything; in fact she could feel herself edging off a bit. The world growing darker and darker as they went. It was getting harder to stay awake and try to fight. Her arms barely responding to her commands.
”T-tch…”

With Demi still trying to run as fast as he could toward where the flash of light came from. Good thing that he was in his fastest form compared to his previous forms. However, it might be enough even with everything he has in him. But he wasn't going to give up just yet. With every step he took, the feeling that something bad happened grew and grew inside his mind. Hopefully, he would be tall enough to soon be able to look above the hill and see what happened there only a few moments ago. As for his tamer, Desmond was also trying to go as fast as he could but he was still a few meters behind the SaintMeramon. It didn't take long for a familiar Witchmon to come flying next to him. "Dead? Who?" He asked out loud between two breaths. It would take him a second to understand that the Shutmon was Silence. It didn't take long for him to add two and two together to understand why his partner was going that way so quickly. "Silence? Where is she?" He managed to ask still a bit loud even when he was starting to slow down as his legs were getting tired of running uphill. He didn't answer her question about the twins though. "Can I go on your broom?" The Frenchman quickly asked. "Can you get me to Silence?" By now, Desmond was breathing heavily. "Please, we need to get to her, now." His voice was lower now but it was a bit shaky. Hoping that Wicked could give him a lift closer to Silence, the blond tamer would either jump on her broom or just go on with the running. Now that he had a clue about why Demi was going that way so fast, Desmond took out his Digivice and a card as well. The card he took out was the Evasion Protocol. He wasn't sure how fast it would make the fire giant go faster but it was worth a try. Swiping the card and then putting it back into his deck, Desmond was now hoping that he too would be able to catch up on Wicked's broom. If not, well he would have to rely on that Demi would get to Silence before she dies. The blond tamer cursed in French for not being in better shape. Demi, on the other hand, felt the effect on the card and maybe even a boost of speed. It was hard to tell really because he was so busy trying to get on the other side of the hill.

There was a triumphant, almost satisfying rush of feral adrenaline coursing through Gio's core as he plunged his bladed arm deep into the Gigasmon, his slithed pupils now dilating as he felt the data from his surely fallen enemy start to rush out. Yet for a single second he found himself distracted from such beautiful carnage, his mind snapping to reality as a brightly colored shape went rushing by his side and into the distance. He'd turn his head to see...Demi, running away in the opposite direction the fight was happening. He wasn't running away was he? Before he could call out to him however, he'd feed feel something gripping at his gauntlet with force, followed by crushing force, a loud cracking sound...and a surge of pure agony. He'd roar out in pain as he looked back only to see the grinning Gigasmon fading and his own arm hanging uselessly to the side. His entire form flickered for a moment as Gio felt to his knee, panting heavily as the accumulated pain and exhaustion finally caught up to him. Only the sight of his brother still being tormented by that squid was enough to keep him from losing his form there and then...but he still needed a moment to catch his breath to be of any use to his brother. Carlos didn't understand why Demi was running either, but he could perfectly get Desmond reasoning in wanting to follow after him. "Just go! We'll catch up to you two!" He reassured him, knowing they still had a mission to accomplish, backtracking would only slow them down. Besides, at least the other tamer had left Dio with something to help himself out of his predicament. Hopefully. Speaking of Dio, he was certainly still not having that great of a time, as even with all his efforts the Calmaramon found himself lunging at him and wrapping every one of her appendages around him, the sudden impact and weight of her sending him reeling to the ground. He'd try to break his way out, most likely to no avail. Honestly, there was little he could do right now other than grit his teeth and wait for-hm? He'd look down at his claw, as out of literally thin air he found himself holding a long spear like weapon with a large golden blade on its end. Had Carlos used another card, perhaps? Regardless, he didn't waste a single moment trying to jab that blade into the squid's side, though in his current position it wouldn't prove that effective it would at the very least slow her down a peg. "Just...go...down...already!"
Gio takes a moment to catch his breath and ponder why only Dark Area residents are this consistently painful to fight, while Dio finds himself wrapped and pinned by the Calmaramon yet tries to use Desmond's lent Ouryuken to try and get the squid off him
