The deep crimson splashed against the edges of the cliffs, splattering them a dark red before draining away. It was here that a lone human stood, staring out over the waters before her. It was such an ugly sight really but that was fine. One needed the ugly, gross and disgusting in the world to appreciate the other end of the spectrum. Littorio reached into her pockets and removed her Digivice, her excitement building as her gaze scanned the device’s screen. Her lips curled into a malicious grin, cracking her face apart in an unnatural caricature of amusement.
“Maaaaah….Finally…..~” Today had been a long time coming. Days of training, weeks of research, months of work and years of searching had gone into this. She stepped towards the edge of the cliff and dived off, caught only by Lavinia as the winged gun slinger flew upwards. It was a dramatic thing indeed but climaxes deserved more than a little bit of drama didn’t they? She relaxed in Lavinia’s grip, enjoying the bridal style carry.
“Hmmmm….are you sure you want to accompany me on this? It’s pretty dangerous you know…” She reached up to her digimon’s face, her soft hand touching the supple skin of Lavinia’s cheek. It was rather unfair how digimon never really aged but that was the nature of a mortal life. It was a rather pleasant trip up towards the floating orb that hung in the sky, chained to the ground.
“I have committed to this path Littorio. No digimon deserves to be imprisoned like this.” Hearing that Littorio’s grin only spread further. She had wrapped her partner clean around her finger, misleading and manipulating her with this narrative she’d made up. Lavinia really did think she was doing a noble deed today didn’t she? Well...it was true they were rescuing a digimon from imprisonment...but it was a far cry from an undeserved imprisonment.
“Mmmm….good. It seems we have company. Put me down on one of those chains.” Lavinia suddenly dropped down, descending towards one of the chains that bound the orb in the sky. She carefully put Littorio down, the human tamer wrapping one of her arms around the chain to avoid falling into the ocean below. Lavinia then rocketed away, turning to face the approaching digimon. As they came within visual range this new arrival was revealed to be an Ophanimon.
The angel digimon did not wait a single moment, lashing out at Lavinia with her double ended spear. Lavinia’s guns clashed against the weapon, blocking the strike that had been aimed at her heart. She pulled one of her guns free and took aim at the angel’s head and pulled the trigger. The explosive roar of a gun echoed throughout the area, accompanied by the scent of gunpowder but of course it had not been that simple. The angel had raised her shield in one swift movement, blocking the bullet causing it to harmlessly fall towards the waters below.
Lavinia pushed back from her opponent, swinging one of her bladed guns to slice into the angel’s face however that blow was also blocked exactly as Lavinia had planned. She thrust her free weapon against the angel’s stomach and pulled the trigger, a bullet lodging itself deep before splintering. It did little to stop the angel digimon though, which simply accelerated away from their opponent before conjuring up ten crystals.
“Sefirot crystal!” The crystalline structures flew towards Lavinia, doggedly pursuing her even as she danced around them, shooting some down while simply kicking the others apart. This was not the first time Lavinia had clashed with this angel digimon and so she had plenty of experience with her attacks. Of course, the reverse was true and so as the fighting dragged on it became clear things were at a stalemate. However, this eventuality was something the angel digimon had planned for.
“If you will not listen to my warnings then I will have to strike you down here! Ophanimon form change to….Falldown Mode!” Ophanimon knew exactly what she was doing and the risks involved in letting that form take over but she could not allow this battle to end in anything except her victory. However, upon seeing this Littorio’s lips curled into a knowing grin. She’d been waiting for this moment. Subtly the human swiped a Digicard through her D3.
Lavinia felt a sudden surge of power surge through her system as the digicard’s effects took hold, empowering the gunslinger’s weapons of choice. She took aim at the rapidly approaching Ophanimon and fired. Instead of a bullet erupting from her weapon there was only the click of an empty barrel which was simply impossible. Then the guns exploded in Lavinia’s arms as the Ophanimon charged forth. Lavinia could do little as she felt the fallen angel digimon’s hellscythe plunge into her chest, biting into her digital core and corroding it.
“Good job Ophanimon~ I could never have come this close to achieving my goal without a suitable vessel for D’endrrahmon. I must thank you for weakening my partner to the state where they’d make such a wonderful choice. You really should be more cautious of me you know Lavinia?” Lavinia’s eyes went wide in horror at hearing that. She coughed and sputtered, reaching for the blade lodged in her chest as it was removed. Lavinia’s body fell downwards towards the blood ocean as Ophanimon returned to her regular form.
“You….are truly the worst. Using your own partner as a sacrificial lamb” The angel digimon had never once felt this level of disgust before in her life. She’d seen evil humans and digimon before but this betrayal of trust simply took the cake and the entire bakery. However instead of trading barbs with Littorio the angel dove down, seeking to prevent Lavina from making content with the blood ocean. If she could stop that then this entire scheme was over!
However, that was exactly what the human tamer had assumed would happen. As Ophanimon got within grasping distance of the slowly crumbling Lavinia, a tentacle erupted from the waters. It phased in and out of reality, flicking between transparency and solidness. It wrapped around the crumbling Lavinia and pulled her into the roiling waters.

“I must say Ophanimon. You have been rather helpful. I would never have managed to convince her to go through with my true objective. You may think the purpose of this venture was to release D’endrrahmon and well….mmmm just you wait and see little angel. You'll be walking in the palm of my hand soon enough...” With one final triumphant laugh Littorio dropped from the chain she’d been resting upon, her digivice’s screen display one final message “Forced data rewrite successful. Biomerge sequence activated.”
The oceans of crimson wine began to roil and writhe, churning with violent upheaval as a dark mass began to rise towards the surface. In a climactic explosion of liquid a truly gigantic pillar of flesh erupted, rising high into the heavens. A black and grey pillar, covered in far too many eyes of red stood motionless. It stared blankly, seemingly blind and unaware of the world around it until… each and every single eye locked onto the angel digimon. The tower’s entire body shook with rage, eyes trembling with a mixture of fury and elation.
“Ophanimon…..you and your fellows sealed me away cycles ago but now….now you’re the last one left are-” Suddenly, the tower’s echoing voice was silenced as it began to painfully convulse, trembling in agony before letting loose a shrill scream of pain.
“N-no what is….?! AAAAAAAAAAAAA” Then it fell backwards into the liquid below, sending up a flurry of red. The Angel digimon paused, unsure of what was happening or what to do but feeling a knot in their stomach. Every single fiber of their being told her to run, to flee, to get as far away from this place as possible but no. Ophanimon stayed, clutching their weapon tight enough to turn their knuckles white. That was when the waters began to writhe and churn again, as the form of D’endrrahmon twisted over itself in agony.
Eventually, the twisting writhing stopped and the waters grew calm but Ophanimon could quite easily see the form of their foe beneath the crimson. The crimsion sea did not remain calm for long, as up came the form of….. Ophanimon’s eyes went wide. She had been expected her arch-enemy to rise from the fluids but instead came the body of a human female no...of Littorio for she was clearly more than human.
Two large horns came first, followed by an arched back of pearl skin then came tentacles. Lots and lots of tentacles, growing from Littorio’s back as she soon stood up to reach her full height. She towered above Ophanimon, golden eyes locking upon the angel digimon as a soft smile covered her face.
“Ahhh….you really have been dancing in my palm this entire time….but now…” The biomerged digimon brought a palm up from below the waves, extending it outwards to form a platform for Ophanimon to stand on. Surprisingly, she obliged and landed upon Littorio’s soft skin finding her senses befuddled suddenly. Why was she here again…? Ophanimon struggled to remember what she was here for.
“Well now you must feel tired right….? How about you sleep….?” Ophanimon staggered, their balance fading as they grabbed their head. Now that the voice mentioned it she was feeling immensely tired. The angel digimon fell asleep upon the giant palm, her consciousness fading as she was slowly broken down and absorbed by the giant digital creature.
“Ahhh….oh she was wonderful...such a delightfully exquisite taste…..but...oooh but but but….but if I can merge with digimon….what’s stopping me from merging with anything else here….?” Littorio’s breathing grew more excited, her face flushed with blood as she considered the many wonderful opportunities before her.
