After all of the craziness of the earlier rounds, it was finally time to settle this once and for all.
Though the setting was simple enough - a large, two-hundred meter concrete circle, surrounded by a powerful steel cage, coming to a dome a hundred meters in height at its center - the air of the arena couldn't be denied. After so many fights in virtual space, with their efforts streamed through taverns and restaurants throughout the Digital World, the two fighters would finally find themselves in the real Infinity Colosseum.
Tickets had sold out. The crowd was sending both cheers and jeers, and the acting referee, a MagnaAngemon, stood just outside the battlefield. And the fighters would be waiting, for the clock to strike noon, and for the starting whistle to be blown.
It was time to see who could claim the mantle, of Champion of the Virtual Tournament? Amelie vs ryouta

All the way to the finals, huh? Well, Amy certainly hadn't expected something like that! Considering how she was among the ones that had battled the most, it came as a surprise that she hadn't been bested on an counter thus far. But... that mattered not; not for the situation at hand, at the very least. Her philosophy of taking everything one step at a time had taken her here, and this match wouldn't be any different. The only notable exception? This was the last step. Whoever emerged victorious from this fight would be the tournament's champion. Exciting, wasn't it? "Did you know I had the first move on all my matches? Maybe that's why I won them all." If it was, the brunette wasn't showing it. "Endings always make me a bit sad." She said somewhat quietly from her side of the colosseum. "I had a lot of fun with this tournament. Everything comes to an end, I guess. Hope you two are ready, by the way. I'm not going easy on any of you. Gotta win this tournament, y'know? Else, I'd be rooting for you two." By now, the D-Tector on Amelie's hand was more than obvious, just like what she intended to do with it. A complex series of fractal code rings were orbiting around her left hand. It took her a less than a second to morph from a human girl to the multi-limbed aberration that was Enigmon H. Oficially, the match had begun, and the digimon hadn't lost time at all. From its place on the colisseum, and somewhat imitating a turret, it began to shoot projectiles made out of foul energy. All of them were aimed to Valt's current form, and it was probably on his best interests on avoid them if he could.
Turn recap! —Amelie evolves to Enigmon H.
—Enigmon H maintains its position, and then uses uses Crawling Chaos to bombard Valt's.
*Crawling Chaos: A crude, yet arguably effective ability. A combination of energy from this digimon's tendrils combined with the residual goo from its body amass into a bombardment of foreign matter divided across a large area, or concentrated into a smaller one. This attack deals a significantly higher amount of damage to any good-aligned enemies. Cooldown: 2 posts.
Relevant passive abilities: *Eldritch Might: The damage and effectiveness of all the abilities this digimon may perform are increased by 30%. Keeping track of Ability stuff. —Cryptic Reclamation becomes replaced by Reprocess. *Cryptic Reclamation [Passive Ability]: This ability can be replaced by any passive ability this digimon has learned about. When this ability changes, it must remain active for at least three posts before being able to be changed again.
*Reprocess [Passive Ability]: Drawing energy from nearby sources, this digimon can gain sustenance and progressively heal its wounds over the course of time, growing stronger in the posts when it's not receiving damage. Can have the side effect of deteriorating the environment in bouts of voraciousness.
—Stolen Memento becomes replaced by New Perspectives. *Stolen Memento [Passive Ability]: This ability can be replaced by any passive ability this digimon has learned about. When this ability changes, it must remain active for at least three posts before being able to be changed again.
*New Perspectives [Passive Ability]: Once every three posts, this digimon can vanish briefly, then reappear at a nearby location, almost as if space itself had folded to its whims. This can be used to set up attacks or get out of harm's way more efficiently.
—Willful Desire becomes replaced by Martyrdom. *Willful Desire [Passive Ability - RAM Upgrade Giga]: This ability can be replaced by any passive ability this digimon has learned about. When this ability changes, it must remain active for at least three posts before being able to be changed again.
*Martyrdom [Passive Ability]: For every two harmful attacks this digimon is subject to, all her active cooldowns are decreased by one post. If she actually gets in the way of an enemy attack going in an ally's way, these cooldowns are decreased by one post for each harmful attack that would reach her.
—Eldritch Harvest becomes replaced by Crawling Chaos. *Eldritch Harvest: This ability can be replaced by any active ability this digimon has learned about. This ability is subject to the cooldown of the last ability that it mimicked. When this ability changes, it must remain as it is for at least three posts before being able to be changed again.
*Reprocess has been active for 1 post. *New Perspectives has been active for 1 post. *Martyrdom has been active for 1 post. *Crawling Chaos has been active for 1 post. *Crawling Chaos's remaining cooldown: 0/2 posts. Enigmon H's 'known ability' list for the purposes of this battle. —Passive Abilities ——Reprocess: Drawing energy from nearby sources, this digimon can gain sustenance and progressively heal its wounds over the course of time, growing stronger in the posts when it's not receiving damage. Can have the side effect of deteriorating the environment in bouts of voraciousness. ——New Perspectives: Once every three posts, this digimon can vanish briefly, then reappear at a nearby location, almost as if space itself had folded to its whims. This can be used to set up attacks or get out of harm's way more efficiently. ——Martyrdom: For every two harmful attacks this digimon is subject to, all her active cooldowns are decreased by one post. If she actually gets in the way of an enemy attack going in an ally's way, these cooldowns are decreased by one post for each harmful attack that would reach her. ——Eldritch Lore: There are few things that don't get better when throwing a bit of forbidden knowledge into the mix, are they? This ability lets Enigmon H enhance an ability performed by itself or a willing ally, providing the following effects to it: the duration of the ability's secondary effects are lengthened by two posts, the ability can't be affected by opposing passives in any way and can't be blocked, cleansed or tampered with by enemies in any way. If applied to an ability that has a radius (like a field effect, for example), its radius is also doubled and the ability is also able to discern which targets to affect and which not to (at Enigmon's discretion). This ability can't prolong the length of any stun, immobilize, sleep or any other form of hard disabling abilities. In order to be used on allies, some kind of connection has to be established between the digimons beforehand (see Psychic Probe, Psychic Intrusion, Transgress the Mind and Mind Twist). Once per thread. —Active Abilities ——Crawling Chaos: A crude, yet arguably effective ability. ——Reality Hemorrhage: Reality warps and bends around this digimon, changing the perception of its own self and its opponent. The next time this digimon would receive damage, whoever caused that damage is subject to the same amount of damage. Duration: up to 5 posts. Cooldown: 2 posts. ——Psalm: A shockwave is unleashed in the form of a gentle word or a short sentence. Deals a high amount of damage to the first target it hits. If it fails to damage an enemy, however, Enigmon H can choose to recover an amount of health equal to half the damage this attack would have dealt. Cooldown: 3 posts. ——Lay on Hands: Enigmon H's tendrils glow with faint, pink light as she places them along the wounds of an injured being. Ends up healing some (25%) of the target's wounds. Cooldown: 3 posts.

"Those who starts first generally have more time to prepare after all," Valt answered. "Unlike some card games, where you can't do any battle phase as the first one who goes first..." Meanwhile needless to say those who starts first here could actually get a advantage compared to who started second. Sometimes, that's not the case though... But considering how formidable the spirit user who is their opponent is... yeah, it's going to be a massive challenge for them. "...The sentiment is the same. May the best of us win then," Valt's form morphed at that moment, clad within sphere of data, rendered by digital golden ring to form the sight of Ulforce Vdramon X antibody. All his passives online, all his actives ready... but honestly, this fight probably the one where he's most nervous. Not even fight against the fatebreaker make him this nervous. "Valt, don't let your guard down. direct contact might be damn bad, but if you can do it, just do it." Ryouta told him. "Roger" Valt roared. The increased speed and power, but especially speed means he's more likely to be able to dodge all these bombardment. Rather than going straight to where Amelie is, he decided to instead try encircling the field. It's nothing compared to attacks that he's bombarded with, but Valt also coupled his dodging with some flying energy slashes from his saber. The distance means it's unlikely that it'll hit straight on her, but let's just see...
Valt (Ulforce Vdramon X) Stats: STR and SPD increased by 65% (Dragon Warcry EX 1/3 / Adaptability Stack at 1/5) Combat Passives Ultima Break (RAM UPGRADE GIGA): Toggleable, imbue a move with "Shield Breaker" property which includes breaking barrier, reflect and cancelling moves for that one move. three turns cooldown between activation
Adaptability III (RAM UPGRADE): This Digimon grows more and more attuned to battle each turn passed. 5% increase to strength and speed per turn, capped at 25%. If this Digimon does not attack for two consecutive turns, snared or silenced, the stack drops by 1.
ULFORCE (RAM UPGRADE): When this Digimon's health drops below 25% after an attack by opposing digimon, this Digimon's healing factor activated automatically and restore its health (moderately) and stamina (healing all active cooldown of this form by 2 turns), allowing it to fight for longer. Once per battle, and only one second wind can be triggered per battle.
Heroic Constitution EX: Toggleable. Upon hit by a direct targeting debuff (stats down, DoT, silence, snares, etc that directly applied upon hit rather than field effect) , this Digimon can choose to ignore it. 3 turns cooldown per activation. Action: Uses Dragon Warcry to ensure better chance at dodging the AoE. Dragon Warcry EX: 60% increase on both attack and speed for 3 turns, but apply penalty of 25% defense down for the cooldown. 3 turns cooldown. Nameless projectile attacks at Amelie.

After a short exchange, the fight was in full-blown movement now. Enigmon H's initial bombardment had failed, Valt himself preparing for a long engagement. Enigmon itsellf could understand what he was up to, and opted to do the very same thing. Undisturbed by the sudden missile sent on its way, the digimon swatted it aside with its tendrils, all while the environment around whined, forcibly lending its lifeforce. The distance between the two combatants began to become smaller, just as energy began to concentrate on the monstrosity's body. A boring turn of events, all things considered, but the audience would have to bear with them. It could be considered as the preamble to quite the confrontations, so patience was to be expected, right? Would be ready for what was to come? No way to know for sure, even though Amelie herself was quite positive on the fact that the audience would most likely enjoy it.
Turn recap! —Enigmon H begins to close the distance between itself and Valt. It blocks the projectile aimed its way and then heals a bit using Reprocess.
—Enigmon H uses Warping Surge.
*Warping Surge: This ability is only usable after one of this digimon's attacks has been dodged/blocked/avoided. Beginning on the next post, and while this effect lasts Enigmon H's power and speed double and can't be reduced by outside sources, including abilities that would render it unable to move. Duration: 3 posts. Cooldown: 3 posts.
Relevant passive abilities: *Reprocess: Drawing energy from nearby sources, this digimon can gain sustenance and progressively heal its wounds over the course of time, growing stronger in the posts when it's not receiving damage. Can have the side effect of deteriorating the environment in bouts of voraciousness. Keeping track of Ability stuff. *Reprocess has been active for 2 posts. *New Perspectives has been active for 2 posts. *Martyrdom has been active for 2 posts. *Crawling Chaos has been active for 2 posts. *Crawling Chaos's remaining cooldown: 1/2 posts. *Warping Surge's duration: begins next post. *Martyrdom's counter: 1/2 attacks.

Something... is happening? He doesn't like how it sounded, but seriously... there's something going on. From how the area seem to empower her, does this means that it's related to healing up or power up somehow? Valt quickly think of what he should do. First and foremost... he guess it's better to use an attacking technique, then if he's wrong, he should follow up with a buffing technique. Valt body quickly charged with electricity. Far? Close? Doesn't matter. What's matter is the fact that he immediately created some sort of ball of lightning. Instead of raising it up to the sky though, Valt cuts the lightning into several pieces. It splits cleanly into three. The lightning launched itself toward Amelie. As there are only one target, its attack boosted rather than when it's made to target three. For the meantime, he'll watch what will going on. There's not much to do here, only to gain distance immediately after that flashy attack. Though he suspect, that being of such caliber probably have some sort of powerful gap closing technique.
Valt (Ulforce Vdramon X) Stats: STR and SPD increased by 70% (Dragon Warcry EX 2/3 / Adaptability Stack at 2/5) Combat Passives Ultima Break (RAM UPGRADE GIGA): Toggleable, imbue a move with "Shield Breaker" property which includes breaking barrier, reflect and cancelling moves for that one move. three turns cooldown between activation
Action: Uses Voltic Explosion Valt aims at three enemies at max (the lesser the target, the more the damage). He then summons lighting bolt to strike at the opponent. if the opponent dodge this move, this move can chase them for the second time, but this time by exploding from underneath their feet, and is 50% stronger. Three turns cooldown. Immediately tries to gain distance right after.

Things were finally starting to heat up a fair bit. Enigmon H's body lurched; Valt's attack seemed quite potent, didn't it? And fast, to boot. The aberration couldn't react in time, and soon enough, it found itself on the receiving end of quite the zap. Guess boosts are quite cool, aren't they? Enigmon itself didn't lose time, though; soon enough, its own ability kicked into action, and in the blink of an eye, the abomination reappeared on the opposite side of the stadium, a fair deal closer to the UlforceVeedramon X. After a leap into the air, another barrage of foul energy was unleashed in the dragon's way. Hopefully, the fact that it came from an unexpected angle would help with its effectiveness, but there was only one way to know that. How would Valt react to such a strike? If anything, it'd be interesting to see if he'd make it in time or not.
Turn recap! —Enigmon H can't avoid Valt's Voltic explosion in time. rip. —Enigmon H's Warping Surge kicks in. It uses New Perspectives to reappear near Valt —Martyrdom procs. Reducing Enigmon H's actives CDs by 1. —Enigmon H regenerates a bit of health due to reprocess. —And then uses Crawling Chaos. Relevant passive abilities: *Reprocess, Eldritch Might, New PerspectivesKeeping track of Ability stuff. *Reprocess has been active for 3 posts. *New Perspectives has been active for 3 posts. *Martyrdom has been active for 3 posts. *Crawling Chaos has been active for 3 posts. *Crawling Chaos's remaining cooldown: 0/2 posts. *New Perspectives's remaining cooldown: 0/2 posts. *Warping Surge's duration: 1/3 posts. *Martyrdom's counter: 0/2 attacks.

It hits! But at what cost? Somehow the aberration came at him in such baffling speed that Valt had to splittake. Not to mention, the same attack that happened... well, fuck. This ain't pretty is it? With his increased speed, Valt noticed that there are quite noticeable gap between their base performance... It's likely that she got a buff ready. Well, fuck. Valt quickly attempted to dodge some of the attacks considering how close they are from he is, although... "GUH--!" as expected, some of them landed. The move is too fast for him to dodge everything entirely. One slammed him right on the upper arm, exploding. What worse, something makes him felt as if they're more effective than he thought. What's the true nature of this attack? And isn't the cooldown a bit too fast for something of this caliber? There should be some trick... something! But now is not the exact time to think about what's going on. Valt activated the booster behind his back to reduce the distance of the two combatants... and following that... he readied his sabers, in an attempt to attack! He aimed a slash at the abberation's limb!
Valt (Ulforce Vdramon X) Stats: STR and SPD increased by 75% (Dragon Warcry EX 3/3 (Ends this turn) / Adaptability Stack at 3/5) Combat Passives Ultima Break (RAM UPGRADE GIGA): Toggleable, imbue a move with "Shield Breaker" property which includes breaking barrier, reflect and cancelling moves for that one move. three turns cooldown between activation
Adaptability III (RAM UPGRADE): This Digimon grows more and more attuned to battle each turn passed. 5% increase to strength and speed per turn, capped at 25%. If this Digimon does not attack for two consecutive turns, snared or silenced, the stack drops by 1.

Heroic Constitution EX: Toggleable. Upon hit by a direct targeting debuff (stats down, DoT, silence, snares, etc that directly applied upon hit rather than field effect) , this Digimon can choose to ignore it. 3 turns cooldown per activation. Action: Tries to dodge Amelie's attack, but some still hit (ouch, and it's boosted too) Countered with Victory Slash: This attack gains extra strength based on how many buff and boost active on the opponent, capping at 200% for 4 kinds of boost. Each parameter boost is treated as 1 boost. Valt slashes at the opponent with Ulforce Saber. Two turns cooldown. (the attack above is currently double damaging)

That moment probably marked when things began to get messy. A melee fight between two skilled and empowered ultimate-level digimon was bound to end in quite the bloody confrontation. Which, in all honesty? Was exactly what Enigmon wanted for this fight to become. The aberration was confident on its ability to overpower a comparably smaller foe at such a close distance, even though that might've been a misjudgment, depending on the circumstances. After all, wasn't one of Ulforce Vdramon's main weapons a saber? Not like Amelie would dwell too much on that tidbit, however; it was pretty late for that, anyway. Soon enough, the digimon found itself on the receiving end of what could be called as a pretty powerful saber attack, aimed at one of its limbs? The coloration of Enigmon's body would change briefly into a colorful hue before returning to its normal tone; Valt would briefly see himself in place of his enemy before the sabers struck, opening a deep gash by the abomination's midsection. It had managed to move just in time for it to avoid hitting anywhere vital, but still one couldn't deny that the wound was quite deep. However, Enigmon made no effort to disengage besides eventually moving out of the attack's range once the slash had run its course. The environment around began to deteriorate, as a sense of deadly calmness enveloped the battlefield. What next?
Turn recap! —Enigmon H uses doesn't move a lot. It uses Reality Hemorrhage.
—Then gets hit by Victory Slash.
—Remains at close range of Valt. Then heals thanks to Reprocess.
*Reality Hemorrhage: Reality warps and bends around this digimon, changing the perception of its own self and its opponent. The next time this digimon would receive damage, whoever caused that damage is subject to the same amount of damage. Duration: up to 5 posts. Cooldown: 2 posts.
Relevant passive abilities: *Assimilate: This digimon gains perfect understanding of the effects of any attack that it would be subject of. It can use this knowledge to fuel some of its other abilities.
*Eldritch Might: The damage and effectiveness of all the abilities this digimon may perform are increased by 30%.
*Martyrdom: For every two harmful attacks this digimon is subject to, all her active cooldowns are decreased by one post. If she actually gets in the way of an enemy attack going in an ally's way, these cooldowns are decreased by one post for each harmful attack that would reach her.
*Reprocess: Drawing energy from nearby sources, this digimon can gain sustenance and progressively heal its wounds over the course of time, growing stronger in the posts when it's not receiving damage. Can have the side effect of deteriorating the environment in bouts of voraciousness. Keeping track of Ability stuff. —Esoteric Recall becomes replaced by Reality Hemorrhage. *Esoteric Recall: This ability can be replaced by any active ability this digimon has learned about. This ability is subject to the cooldown of the last ability that it mimicked. When this ability changes, it must remain as it is for at least three posts before being able to be changed again.
*Reality Hemorrhage: Reality warps and bends around this digimon, changing the perception of its own self and its opponent. The next time this digimon would receive damage, whoever caused that damage is subject to the same amount of damage. Duration: up to 5 posts. Cooldown: 2 posts.
*Crawling Chaos's remaining cooldown: 1/2 posts. *Warping Surge's duration: begins next post. *Martyrdom's counter: 1/2 attacks. *Reality Hemorrhage's remaining cooldown: 0/2 posts. *New Perspectives's remaining cooldown: 1/2 posts. *Warping Surge's duration: 2/3 posts. *Martyrdom's counter: 1/2 attacks.
