Not good. Not good at all, in all honesty. The situation at hand had grown in direness so exponentially fast it was hard to predict what would happen next. Of course, it wasn’t like Amelie’s addled brain could even properly process what was happening. The sudden attack on a comparatively weaker form had left her pretty much convalescent.
The haze on Amy’s mind became progressively clearer; a sense of urgency and impending danger was soon to follow. She mentally slapped herself as her consciousness surged back, and began to quickly address the situation.
In short? I wasn’t good. It wasn’t good at all. A more detailed analysis didn’t seem like a good idea, given the urgency of the situation and the sheer amount of power their opponent exuded, just like the fact Syre had rushed into the scene. Considering how threatening their foe was, the smartest thing to do seemed to stall them out until reinforcements arrive. However, the question was… did they have the time? It surely seemed like they didn’t.
The aberration lurched forward, an fiery jet emerging from the tip of one of its tendrils, its intent to reach the anomalous crystal. It was hard to guess how much good it would do, especially when the following rain of harmful shards undid all the work the brunette’s spirit form had put on getting up. Once again, she was pinned to the group.
Bad side? Considering their situation, they were more or less at the monster’s mercy at the moment. But… at least Amy was conscious at the moment. That had to amount for something, right?

The crystallized construct wirred loudly with an earpiercing sound, reacting in a clearly content fashion as it's many shards pinned both digimon to the warehouse's wall. It did not last however as it was finally on the receiving end of some retaliation. As the attack from both aunt and niece reached it's hard exterior, the creature went silent, it's so far eerily calm hovering sent mildly off course as the crystal was sent backwards ever so slightly, tilting at an angle not unlike a tree being pushed back by a heavy front loader tractor.
It remained tilted in that somewhat awkward position for a short moment of...surprise? Before it slowly rectified itself back into it's former right angle. While the damage didn't seem substantial at first, a quick look would reveal some noticeable scratches and burn marks on the outer layer of the crystal. But more importantly, it seemed the smoke within the crystal noticed it as well, judging by the almost perplexed way it seemed to lightly tap at the scratched surface from the inside. Or...at least that's what it seemed at first. It would soon become apparent the smoky "pilot" was...spinning. Or rather spiraling onto itself, the crystal soon following after as it too began to spin in place rapidly, both at a speed that should have been impossible from such a large object, vibrating in the air like some sort of demonic engine out of control.
And then...it vanished. No flash of light, nothing. It was almost as if it had ceased to be...for a short moment at least. The sound would come back way before the actual shape did, and the pinned Kuzuhamon would surely have now noticed the dark shadow looming just a few meters above her. Moments after, the large crystal body would crash violently (if things went according to it's twisted calculations) right on top of Syre.
Trepanning: Simplicity=efficiency. Teleports close to an enemy and attempts to crush them with the lower section of the crystal. 2 posts cooldown.

Even Syre's potential cover didn't completely save Amelie from that last assault. And though their combined attack may have left a mark on the crystalline monster, it seemed like the trade was in the MoonMilleniumon's favor. Syre was stuck to the wall, and her partner was similarly pinned down to the floor.
"Damn..."
Practiced-enough in combat, Syre kept her eyes directly on the enemy in front of them, while moving a free hand to pull those shards out and free up her arms. The last attack definitely did a number to slow her down, and with gritted teeth, it would be a fair few moments before Syre freed herself from the wall. Just as she readied herself to attack again?
Their opponent vanished.
Taking a few steps away from the wall, Syre's eyes darted around, trying to figure out just what had happened - until a huge, dark shadow appeared under her feet. A glance upwards revealed what had just happened - and Syre flicked her staff upwards a moment later. She had no time to properly dodge this.
A golden barrier sprang forth, a single plate held up against the oncoming assault. The superior attack of the crystalline monster would smash right on through, however, giving Syre only a moment to step back, the Kuzuhamon hit by the side of the crystal, and thrown back several yards! She found herself clutching her arm, swearing, eyes briefly darting over to Amelie.
... Auntie. Auntie, get out of here. She hoped that Amelie was reading enough into her thoughts! Get help, get whoever you can. I'll hold him to the warehouse - we can't let him out into the city!
Avatar available. Saberk of Ice still in effect.
Active: Holy Barrier (CD: 0/2)
LIGHT ELEMENT (Avatar - Advantage against Dark) If need be, Syre can raise her staff and create a panel-shaped shield, enough to cover her entire body and those directly behind her. Blocks or diverts one Mega level attack, depending on how the shield is angled.

This fight felt like a constant shift from bad to even worse. What in tarnation was their opponent? The fact that it was managing to overpower them so glaringly was baffling to say the least. In all honesty, this might’ve been the hardest fight Amelie had ever faced, and even in her home turf! Just… just what was this thing?
It was a situation distressed Amelie greatly. And that was probably an understatement. She wasn’t a fan of being pinned and helpless, or of Syre having to do the brunt of the fighting while she sat there, being pretty much useless in this given situation. It pained her to see Syre withstanding such a gruesome attack, and being absolutely unable to do anything to prevent, or even alleviate its effects.
The Kuzuhamon’s message was delivered with a measure of effectiveness, and even if it tore the brunette’s pride into small pieces, it was probably the best they could do. She had proven to be not particularly helpful in this fight, and while she had her doubts regarding Syre’s ability to withstand this monster’s assault, her best bet was probably to find help. Maybe Katherine or Akemi would be around; that’d surely turn the tide of this fight in their favor.
Thus, after acknowledging Syre’s message, the digimon began to slip away from the site of conflict. A silent prayer requested for the digimon’s safety; with any luck, she’d be fast enough, otherwise… a tragedy might happen.

As the crystalline abomination smashed through Syre's shield, it would find itself crashing loudly against the floor, to the point it would lodge itself deep into the concrete, almost as if it hadn't expected it's attack would be met by such little resistance. It did little to slow it down however, as the transparent mineral would slowly spin in place, the concrete underneath being smashed and stirred into rubble.
Luckily for Amelie, the being seemed to be completely and absolutely fixated on Syre to notice or care about her vacating the building, the MoonMillenniummon either too enraptured by the surge of energy that was Syre's form to worry about possible backup arriving. And positively elated at being left alone with such a large source of energy.
In what could only be about as long as a blink, the creature would resume it's assault again, this time more overwhelming than the last time. For starters, it would send out another beam of glistening energy at the digimon. While not nearly as powerful as the last attack, it was but a distraction for what was to come. From the cracks on the crystal small lines of smoke would slowly start to pour out, reaching high into the air like smoke from an incense stick. They wouldn't stand in place for long, as they would soon charge completely off course and towards Syre. If she let herself be reached...let's just say she would soon find out those "tendrils" weren't as harmless as simple smoke.
n Factorial (Passive): Every four posts this digimon will fire out a single beam of energy at an enemy. While these beams are only marginally stronger than an unnamed attack, they count as a free move so this digimon might use a named attack after it.
a±b: Small trendils of dark matter escape through the cracks of the crystal and attempt to impale any enemies in the vicinity. If succesful it deals heavy damage and heals MoonMilleniunmon back by half of the total damage dealt. 3 posts cooldown.

As for whether or not Amelie was able to get out safely, Syre wasn't sure. The niece would have liked to be able to ensure her auntie's safety, but the Kuzuhamon couldn't take her eyes off of the fight. Not only did that attack bore straight through her shield, it also managed to tear into the concrete itself, cutting through it like some sort of demented drill.
But from this point on, Syre assumed that she was on her own. She was hopeful, but she couldn't rely on back-up coming in time, nor anything hopeful like that. Steadying both of her hands on her staff, the Kuzuhamon's fox-avatar returning to her side, Syre kept her focus right on the crystalline beast. I'm getting nowhere like this...
Syre grit her teeth. She didn't like it, but she only had one realistic chance of doing real damage to this creature. Bracing herself for a brief moment, the armored fox tore off, gritting her teeth as that first beam of energy struck right against her shoulder. Damn, that hurt, but it was going to take more than that to keep Syre down.
She needed to focus on what was coming next: an odd array of smoke, billowing out into the air? Dashing forward, Syre wasn't sure about their intent, until they coiled around like whips and threatened to pierce straight through her - right when she was trying to close distance, too! She was forced to pivot, briefly turning 90 degrees to strafe around the creature and avoid the main point of focus of that attack. Still, she felt several of those needles sink right into her left arm, right as Syre turned right back towards the center.
If Syre had any advantage, it was that the beast was half-trapped inside the floor from that last attack. And Syre had to take advantage of that before the monster could teleport again. And thus, she'd take the trade - unfavorable as it might have been - and would try and put herself as close to the creature as possible. And once she was well within range?
Her staff would give off a powerful, golden light, one that started to pour through her entire body:
"Taizoukai Mandala!"
Her ultimate technique: the staff would quickly become blinding to look at, as a sheer blast of holy energy would surge out in all directions! The warehouse probably wouldn't survive the blast, but honestly, that was a small price to pay to try and corner this thing!
Avatar available. Saberk of Ice still in effect. Holy Barrier (CD: 1/2)
Technique:[Ultimate] Taizoukai Mandala
HOLY ELEMENT Syre foregoes any pretense, grasping onto her spear as it gives off a blinding light. A powerful, holy burst of energy is sent off in all directions within a fifteen foot radius, and maintains for several seconds, dealing heavy damage to all within its range. Once per thread.

Had… had she been able to successfully slip away? That either meant that Amelie had sneaked somewhat proficiently, or that digimon was just terribly fixated on Syre and on ending her as quickly as she could. Something that she wasn’t going to allow, no matter what.
Once she had gotten out of the building where the fight was being carried out, her digimon form was shed right afterward. A distress beacon was ignited on the spot as her body collapsed on the ground, and now the only thing left for somebody —anybody— to notice it and hopefully lend her a hand to reverse this atrocious situation.
Who’d have thought that help would come from the most unlikely of places, however. “What’s happening? You look like a mess.”
“There’s an extremely powerful digimon inside that building. Syre… Syre’s trying to contain it but it’s way too powerful. She needs help.”
“No qualms with me going in?”
“Please take care. I wouldn’t be able to live with myself if I lost either of you.”
“Deal. Wish us luck.”
Not long after that, the young woman's thoughts unraveled themselves in the uncertain solace of unconsciousness.

Indeed, for everything Syre had going against her in this fight, she was right in her assumption that her foe was more or less stuck in place for the time being, meaning there was little they could do against her attack other than take the hit upfront, the crystal visibly becoming more cracked as the wave of energy blasted against it. The smoke didn't fade away however...rather it seemed to be enveloping the surrounding area little by little, the inside of the warehouse slowly dimming and darkening. It wasn't so much like the smoke was obscuring the few electrical light sources of the warehouse, rather it was as if the light itself seemed to abandon the place, as if every light bulb suddenly stopped working and day turned into night. Yet the crystal kept on glowing. Then came a cold air. A bonechilling wind that would make it hard to breathe to even those wrapped in layers upon layers of coats. The crystal glowed more and more, yet it only seemed to get colder. By now the only thing visible in the darkness would be the crystal, glowing so bright it was physically painful just to look at. That's Syre would probably hear it. First an unintelligible whisper, progressively getting louder and louder until it drowned every other sound. Every thought. Everything replaced by five simple words. "SYRE"
"WE CAN SEE YOU."

Amelie had managed to escape.
Syre, though definitely beat up, managed to cut in close and deal significant damage to the target in front of her. Visible cracks now spread throughout that crystal body... but what followed next threw Syre into darkness.
Literal darkness.
She could still see the crystal, but the entire warehouse seemed to slip off into the distance. The light faded, leaving Syre feel like she was almost floating in utter darkness, a cold chill starting to slip into her arms as if chilling her to the bone. What was this? What was that voice in her head?
Calm down.
Syre grit her teeth. She focused her gaze forward, right towards that crystal, even as it started to burn a spot in her eyes. She'd seen worse: she'd seen the Meicoomon suspended in their tanks. She'd seen a spirit assaulted by the grip of the D-Reaper. She'd seen an entire forest fall to a crystalline infection. If the MoonMilleniumon wanted to scare Syre, or make her lose focus, he was going to have to try a lot harder than that.
Even if I can't see him... Syre's eyes briefly darted to the left, through the darkness. To that small mass of foxfire out in the open - the strongest move she could muster right now:
"Go! My avatar!"
At once, that ethereal fox would brighten up, like a sharp, blue flame - and would move to crash right into the crystal in the center of the room.
You're weaker than him. Don't let up.
You have to overwhelm him before he gets back on his feet!
Avatar available. Saberk of Ice still in effect. Holy Barrier Ready! Technique: Go, My Avatar! Instead of simply allowing her Avatar to passively siphon power off of her moves, Syre instead donates a portion of her energy to the Avatar itself, imbuing it heavily with the "Blue Flame" element. During this move's duration, the Avatar is unable to pick up another element, but is able to pursue a target within a range of five hundred meters, dealing direct slashing and 'blue fire' damage on successful strike. If significantly damaged, the Avatar must take a turn to reconstitute itself, via gathering its scattered flames back up into a single mass. Three Post Duration, Three Post Cooldown

Loire had to act fast; if whatever was fighting against the group had managed to make such a number on Amelie, then chances were that whoever else was inside fighting didn’t have that much time on their hands either. Her holosuit’s form began to unravel as she entered the building, energy crackling with each of her steps as the digimon manifested itself in a burst of energy. The veritably enormous Congermon took a second to sense the energy fluctuations swirling around her; the crystal’s position became more than obvious after that, just as the Kuzuhamon that was fighting it.
She approached their location in a flash, letting out a defiant roar towards the Millenniummon. Honestly, there was no need for that, but it was kinda cool, wasn’t it?
Maybe that wasn’t the gesture’s only function, as one would judge from what happened next. A loud crackling sound resounded high above, that preceding the lightning-fast descent of a powerful lightning bolt directly where newfound enemy was. Maybe a bit of an strong opener, but it’d serve the dual purpose of judging the digimon’s strength as well as to relieve some pressure off the Kuzuhamon. Maybe then they could put in action more refined tactics rather than just trying to brute force through this fight. —Tempest Halberd: Calls forth a thunderbolt with the intention to fry an opponent and anyone else in the immediate vicinity of the attack’s point of impact. The violent and erratic nature of this attack ensures that it gets through pretty much anything that tries to block or defend against it. Cooldown: 3 posts.

This was...interesting. Fascinating even. Not only the digimon seemed to be mostly unfazed by the crystallized digimon's(?) attack, she seemed to be actively fighting against it. Clearly this was no ordinary prey, subtler tricks like that wouldn't work on her. It seemed only brute strenght would do the trick. Speaking of which, the fox was quick on her feet, sending her phantasmagoric aura crashing against the crystal's side, once again pushing it back, the darkness surrounding Syre fading slightly as some of the light returned, the being letting out a low droning sound all the while. Was it pain? Anger? Amusement? It was honestly impossible to tell.
It seemed to vibrate in place once again before it started returning to it's previous position, except it looked...odd. It wasn't simply levitating back to the spot Syre had pushed it from, it was almost like another, different force was actively dragging it back. With another flash of light, and the being was gone yet again. Much like last time, this didn't last long, but now it didn't appear on top of Syre again, merely a couple of feet away from her. As it returned from who knows where and back into reality, looking none worse for wear except for the black blue flame coating the crystal's exterior, which soon launched itself at Syre.
It might have had another move up it's proverbial sleeve, but after that retaliatory strike the creature finally seemed to break it's focus away from Syre for a moment, as a new foe joined into the fray. The loud roar she let out gave the crystal some pause, as if stopping for a moment to gauge how it should respond to this possible new threat, if at all.
The milleniummon got it's answer pretty quickly as it found itself being dug further into the concrete by a bolt of lightning smiting it from above. Well, at least now it knew not to underestimate whatever it was had joined in. This other digimon seemed like it was willing to actually fight back, unlike the one Syre had been with prior...
String Theory: After taking damage from an attack this digimon teleports a short distance away, returning half of whatever damage it was about to receive back to the attacker, as well as any debuffs that attack might have inflicted. 5 posts cooldown.

Damn it, just how resilient was this thing?!
The crystalline Digimon had survived Syre's strongest blast, and it had survived the Kuzuhamon's follow-up, without even seeming to fully break through the outer shell. And Syre herself seemed far worse for wear. Hopefully this would only take a small push to finish...
... But, unfortunately, reality didn't want to throw Syre a bone today. No, she instead found herself at the brunt of her own attack, blue flame washing over her own frame. She held her spear forward to protect her face, but felt her 'own' energy sear into her arms and legs, causing the mega to stumble forwards. Landing heavily on her right knee, Syre grit her teeth, and defiantly pointed her staff towards the monster.
"Cursed Soldier."
At once, a heavy, black light built up from the tip of her staff, the same energy soon surrounding her own frame, before bursting forth in all directions. The technique itself wouldn't do damage. No, all this did was ensure that the damage she had already done wouldn't go to waste.
Afterwards, she'd plant that staff against the ground, and try to pull herself back up onto her feet. Loire's interference aside?
Tch... at this rate...
Saberk of Ice still in effect. Technique: Cursed Soldier DARK ELEMENT (Avatar - Advantage against Holy or Light) Syre's staff radiates a heavy black light, casting a dark shine in a twenty foot area around her. Those affected are unable to heal over the duration of the technique (reduced effect against Super Megas). Three post duration, three post cooldown. Cooldown does not apply unless the move succeeds.

Direct hit! Loire couldn’t help but to grin at such a display, even though… it seemed like their foe hadn’t even decided to react to such a display. Well, that was both a good and a bad thing; a good thing because Loire had free reign to try and cause as much damage on the crystal as she could. The bad? That the digimon seemed to be thoroughly fixated with Syre, and relieving her from the incessant assault had kind of been the main goal for this intervention.
If that was going to be the case, then things would have to take a turn for the hotter! Maybe it wouldn’t be such a bad thing being ignored, at least when it came to her following ability; above the battlefield, a gigantic flaming boulder manifested itself, much like the thunderbolt that had previously struck the Millenniummon. Unlike her previous ability, however, the rock fragmented itself and descended in the form of a veritable rain of fire through the battlefield. It came without saying that a nasty surprise would await if this one was just ignored like the last one. It came to them now; what would happen next? Passive Abilities: —Will of the Council [Team Ability - Passive]: All the members of this team and the ability performed by them can choose to completely ignore the effects of passive defensive abilities that might affect them in any way. —Council's Accord [Team Ability #2 - Passive]: Team members can choose whether their abilities affect anyone or anything subjected to them or not.
Ability Used: —Firestorm: An enormous fireball manifests in the sky, then breaks down into a veritable rain of the stuff. The fire’s so intense and it burns so hot that anybody struck by this ability is unable to attack momentarily. Duration: 1 post. Cooldown: 3 posts.
It won't damage neither Syre nor Loire thanks to Council's Accord.

The smoke within the crystal formation twisted and spiralled as the new release of energy from Syre wrapped itself around the surrounding area. Whatever that energy was doing, while not actively harmful was still obviously bad for the MoonMillenniumon, that much it knew. Even so, the Kuzuhamon's body language and energy signature made one thing painfully obvious: it was getting desperate, weaker. All the being needed to do to emerge victorious was outlast her, which wouldn't be difficult at this rate.
Or at least it wouldn't have been were it not for the fact that Loire was proving to be, if not another equally dangerous foe, at the very least a really distracting one. As soon as the crystal mega noticed the fiery rain of pain descending upon them it was clear this fight had to be ended swiftly, or else it would find itself overwhelmed. In the span of a couple of microseconds it seemed to decide taking more damage was out of the question, even if it meant having to shift into a more defensive strategy. With a loud and clean ringing like that from a glass cup a translucent energy wrapped itself around the crystal, the fiery rocks hitting violently against the shield but leaving the MoonMilleniumon unscathed.
It's target was even more clear now: the Kuzuhamon had to fall now, only then it would be safe to fully deal with this new nuisance. But that would have to wait, now all the creature could do was hide behind it's shield, waiting for the next assault and weigh it's options...
If P then Q: This digimon shields behind a simple energy barrier that can withstand up to two attacks, and lasts two posts. Afterwhich it will explode into small, crystal like fragments that deal small damage to anyone within melee range. 4 posts cooldown.

A moment's reprieve.
Honestly, if not for that, Syre might have been too pressed to continue - but as the aura of Cursed Soldier surrounded her target, the Kuzuhamon managed to finally get back up onto her feet. She squared her stance, and plucked her staff up off of the ground, holding herself steady as she got a decent view of the battlefield. Fire rained down from above - but somehow didn't engulf Syre herself - giving her just a few moments to get her thoughts together.
Don't lose your tension. He's defending himself. The fox stepped forward, testing her distance, looking right towards that shield. Cursed Soldier is in effect. And Amy managed to find someone to help... so we need to end it quickly.
This wasn't the time to hold back. Even if she was pushed to a point that she couldn't really move, she'd do everything she could. She raised her staff, that blue light coursing through, before she let forth a heavy swing, a blue arc of ice energy soaring out to crash against the shield. And her double, that ethereal fox, would follow and slam into it right after!
Cursed Soldier Duration: 2/3Used Passive: Avatar (0/1)
At all times, Kuzuhamon is accompanied by her spectral avatar, generally in the shape of a shadowy fox. The avatar is capable of simple tasks, such as picking up or retrieving objects, but serves no battle purpose unless empowered.
Should Syre use an elemental attack, the Avatar becomes empowered, its color changing to match the same element that Syre just used. Once the spirit has absorbed an element, it can dash for a target to deal moderate damage as a remote projectile, though if it misses its 'dash', the element is lost and the Avatar returns to its basic state. [1 turn cooldown after an attack]
Used Technique: Saberk of Ice (Still in Effect - Active used)
ICE ELEMENT Calling back to her mother's roots, Syre empowers the staff she is holding with a chilling white aura. The shape of the energy can be adjusted using the staff as a base, allowing her to create weapons such as pikes or halberds. While in effect, she can utilize her 'attack' for the turn, giving full swing of this blade to send out a cutting 'arc' of energy to a range of about one hundred feet. Three post cooldown, shared with Saberk of Ice, and three post cooldown. This is the duration per each instance of Saberk - meaning if she chooses one blade instead of drawing one, the duration is indefinite until broken, though using a projectile attack uses her named attack for the turn.
