Right - now was not the time to be marveled by the Hi-Andromon's nigh unfair ability to regenerate. As the battle continued to unfold before them, Connor kept his eyes glued onto their target, trying to think of a way to work past the situation. Silence and Colin had the right of it, but just how would they cut off the machine's control?
"I wish I could be of more help here, but I'm as fresh to the situation as you lot."
"At this point, we don't have time to be fancy about it." Connor gave a nod towards Colin - then shouted out over the battlefield. "Figure out how to take the fight outside of this tower - the only thing that could be causing this is the Gate itself. I can assume control of it, but only once his influence is cut off!"
Right, but this far underground, just how were they going to do that? "Hm... maybe if we opened as many portals in here as possible, and tried to trick him into one of them?" That said, the HiAndromon wasn't going to make this effort easy on any of them. Skadi would find that her shield was fully rend through by the ranged Energy Blade, and Mae would find herself thrust against the far wall. Furthermore, the metal menace had just revealed that he was able to push himself back from the brink, and there was no reason to think that he was going to simply stop presssing that advantage any time soon.
Just after that last slash, the HiAndromon would find his right arm caught by Skadi's vines, which was quickly remedied with a quick slash from his opposite hand. However, it kept him rooted for just long enough for Silence's lone assault to continue, both with the dragon crashing in and that swatch of icy energy approaching from the side. The HiAndromon stood his ground, raising an arm to brace himself against the dragon's impact, and planting his feet as ice built up over his side.
He was stuck in place, and unable to simply continue attacking with his arms.
But he didn't need them. As the machinery around him started to crumble, the HiAndromon's body gave a hiss, his chest compartment opening up once more.
"You doubt my resolve?" The HiAndromon scoffed at Mae's insult, and aimed his next attack, not only at her, but at every single target in his line of sight - Silence, Mae, Skadi, and even the retreated group by Wizardmon and Connor.
"You will not have it. My dream... my dream!"
Those last two words echoed, as a powerful light built up in the HiAndrmon's chest. In the next instant, his body would be obscured by blinding light, the declaration of his attack lost in the resulting, tumultuous sound it created.
Giga Cannon. A simple, yet powerful, laser that threatened to scorch everything in its path.
Atomic Ray: 3/3 [Ready!] Herculean: 2/3
Active Passives: Functional Invincibility
Used Technique: Giga Cannon
Machinedramon’s Giga Cannon. A powerful laser cannon is shot forward for several seconds, dealing massive damage to the area in front of HiAndromon. Three post cooldown.

What they were doing, what they were fighting. Wasn’t working; simply put the andromon’s regeneration was the centerpoint to it’s fighting capabilities. Something so strong that made it impossible to get proper headway. Silence was able to watch him take attack after attack and just heal the damage without much thought put into it. It was furious; like grinding a sword against a harder stone just to watch the blade dull down until nothing was left. But then came the suggestion that connor had. Then came the add on of the wizard. Silence seemed dumbfounded for a second. Whispers of data from deep within that she knew of. She’d growl a bit and take hold of that data. She knew that; she knew that feel and the sensation of power that she was pulling on. She had been told about this place from others; she had been told about this ability before. But to actually have access to it? Was not something many outside of a certain caste of angels had. She could feel the power welling up and it threatened to roll through her form and burst. Instead she’d direct it. First through her arm and with a snarl she’d slam her hand down just as the hi-andromon shot force that laser. It was a split second decision and one that would probably seem way out of sorts. But the words that practically fell from her mouth told of a power she didn’t really know she had until this point. It was something she had never done before; dreamed of maybe given that she had seen it in a past life. ”GATE OF DESTINY.”She could feel the tug on her core; she could feel the power it drained. It was immeasurable; the fact she could rip the fabric of this place clean open to allow such a massive gate to form in front of her? Not only to swallow the attack that the hi-andromon shot off but also to try to suck him clean into the other reality. The intense pressure from the gate itself would try to suck in the andromon; along with the dragon making another swipe at the andromon; trying to send it into the gate. Regardless of how the situation here ended; Silence herself would be forced to enter the gate even if the andromon did not. Log: -Silence used Gate of Destiny to suck in the giga cannon while also trying to force the Hi-Andromon into it! -Regardless of the outcome Silence has to enter the gate. -At the end of this post the Ice Fang dragon will crumble. Passives: Hypothermia|Combat Passive: This ability projects a large freezing air effect around omegashutmon. Individuals that are within 150 feet of omegashutmon find their movement's slowed by 5% the moment they step within this range. For each posting round that an individual is within this range this slow increases by 5% up to a maximum of 30%. Staying outside of this range or using fire to reverse the freezing effect is possible.
Knight of the Mausoleum|Combat Passive: This digimon's body is freezing to the touch and the digimon itself leaves behind frozen tracks as though it had flash frozen each step. Additionally this digimon is unaffected by the cold itself making Ice based moves ineffective against it. While fire moves deal increased damage due to her frozen body.
Permafrost|Combat Passive|RAM UPGRADE: Every blade, every weapon of legend has a name. Every person that wields them falls into the abyss of the forgotten long before their weapon’s names are. This blade, as named by K herself before passing on is one of the few things she left to her successor. This blade is made out of a strange digichrome, hardened by the ice of the frozen mausoleum itself permafrost cannot be broken by normal means.
Further still, it is a catalyst of sorts, cultivating and soothing. It’s very presence allows for OmegaShutmon to persevere in such a way that many would not. It is a symbol, a symptom of a better world that those that get a glimpse of hardly let go. And within that symbol is a power. A power that can hardly be explained with simple words. Yet here we are, doing exactly that.
Permafrost’s power is simple.
For every attack that connects with an enemy target OmegaShutmon herself finds herself attuning further to the blade. Further still to the glimpse of that world, to that symbol. This attunement pushes her further, pushes her abilities to their limit. Her Damage input increases by 50% for two posts, which she cannot attune further with the blade during this time. She may start attuning to the blade the post after the attunement wears off. One post cooldown between activations.
Aura of Decay (passive)|Loaded Move: OmegaShutmon is constantly emitting a foul aura from their body. Therefore, making contact with this ferocious Digimon is not recommended. For every time OmegaShutmon directly hits the opponent with any named physical attack per posting round, the aura spreads to them, decreasing their defenses by a certain amount, per the level of ‘decay’ the opponent currently has on them. However, if the opponent successfully avoids contact with this Digimon for 2 consecutive posts, they can go down a level. This goes up to 5 levels, with the defense drop increasing in percentages per successive level: Level 1: -10% defense Level 2: -20% defense Level 3: -30% defense Level 4: -40% defense Level 5: -50% defense This may stack with any other defensive debuffs the opponent may receive.
Mark of the Knight|Passive: Each individual within the order have their own marking it may be located anywhere they please as long as it's easy to see/find. It signifies their power and their ability to act on their own or in a group. This symbol provides them with a Light regen[5%] per combat posting round. Move: Gate of Destiny|Loaded Move: This digimon can summon a massive set of gates, easily large enough to even allow an examon to pass through them with a relative ease. Once the gate's doors are open [during combat] an intense surge of air attempts to draw in any hostile opponent within fifty meters into the gates. Within these gates lay a realm of impossibility, varying time to time. This realm is a black and white grainy staticky mess. Lightning crawls through the clouds, providing the perpetual darkness of the realm with light. Within this realm an opponent finds their form attacked by the very energies of this place. Dealing a large constant amount of damage every post. At the end of the duration individuals still within it will be shunted out to the same location they entered in. Outside of combat this move can be used for transit from place to place using the realm as a midpoint. Those that would be considered an ally or those using this move are not harmed by the energies of the realm they are drawn into. Once per thread. Three post duration. The user of this move must enter if others do, regardless of affiliation. Duration: IFD: 3/3 MC: ⅓ GOD: 0/3 Cooldown: IFD: 0/5 MC: 0/1 GOD: N/A

"I do not doubt it...I question it's very existence. You can't even fight us without calling on the power of this...Gate, can you...?" The Ophanim could only spout bile even when being STABBED. A crazed grin appeared on her face as the HiAndromon prepared a move you'd usually catch a Machinedramon dead using. This was all...going as she expected it to. An attack that meant nothing in the face of something else. And now it was a threat to him. All that was left was to throw him into a realm where nothing could remain. "You say you bear resolve. Allow me to show you mine." The Rasielmon let out a breath as she raised a hand, bringing forth all she had to bear with her most powerful attack. Sefer Raziel. Miracle given form. A sphere of many colors, fueled by the battle before her appeared in her hand, as she then cast it out for the HiAndromon. With any hope and luck? This'd send him into the Gate of Destiny. With a lot of damage he can't heal if he's not connected to his source. It was still a devastating attack in return for one.
Relevant Passives: Fatebreaker [RAM Upgrade Giga]: This entity has the same mysterious foresight that a Rasielmon would possess. As such, Mae has the ability to divine a potentially infinite number of futures, depending on the level she's at. There are, however, limits to her foresight. For one, the lower the level, the more muddied, limited, and opaque the visions will be. The higher, the clearer. Furthermore, in combat, this is only really applicable as a way to warn herself and others of various attacks. Whether she can dodge them or not even with this is entirely on her. Should she successfully dodge an attack she had a vision of, the chances she can dodge the next one are lower. Basically she can’t spam this unless she wants the hurt.
Epitaph: This entity has heightened reflexes, thanks to her foresight being enhanced even further. As such, she’s able to think and move quicker in a fight, enabling her to operate at her fullest capacity.
Cipher of the Elements: Every three turns, Mae can apply one of ten elements to herself, changing both how her form looks (in terms of colors,) and how her attacks appear/work for three turns before she reverts to how she was previously. Oh, and her weaknesses change, too. They go as follows:
Fire, Water, Wind, Earth, Light, Metal, Darkness, Wood, Ice, Thunder.
So, Mae got stabbed, that's a lot of ouch. Like. A LOT. But she still has it in her to talk shit. Given Giga Cannon has to get through a Gate of Destiny...Mae's going retort with Sefer Raziel. Sefer Raziel: Imagine what powers have to be at work to create a miracle, a true and proper miracle. Now imagine a single entity taking figurative hold of those powers and using them to invoke one. Rasielmon gathers power from within, and all around her to create a sphere within her hands that is best described as a miracle given form, before she lets it loose. She draws power from every named ability, her own included, utilized within the battle to give this sphere both form and magnitude. As such, this technique’s power increases with every named move used within the past four turns, up to a maximum of a 75% increase in power. Of course, a miracle has a steep price. Rasielmon is only able to do this once per thread. Get in the fucking Gate of Destiny, HiAndromon. Durations: Cipher: 2/3 Cooldowns: Cipher: 0/3 - I goofed here. Not yet. Knowledge Stream: 3/4 Spatial Causeway: 3/4 Mind Charge: 1/3 Cards Swiped...2/3? 2/3 still.

Post by Kenny O'Hara and Skadi on Feb 22, 2021 23:28:58 GMT
What was going on? Not only was this HiAndromon able to recover himself without much trouble, he'd also easily cut through her own blue barrier and into her own chest, forcing the Kheimon to step back with a pained grunt as she shot another glare at her adversary. At least Mae found some time to recover and return the favour. She could find some consolation from that. With her vines cut off once more, the surviving parts would once again retreat back to her and regrow once more, swathing around her body for just a little longer, as the others continued their endless assault towards him - and in Mae's case, the machinery supporting him as well. Even for a simple Mega, she could still hold her own the best she could, but her focus still remained onto the HiAndromon. And that's when she saw the HiAndromon's chest glow. And Silence summon a massive portal to seemingly nowhere. And she knew what she had to do, as a whirlwind of leaves started to kick up around her
The next few moments were a blur for Kenny. By sheer luck he found himself into the line of fire of the HiAndromon's laser cannon, not too dissimilar to the Machinedramon guards from earlier. And he knew he couldn't save himself from the impact so easily. With heavy breathing and a brave face, he'd swipe one last card into the D-Nexus, aiming to give Skadi just a few more moments to save herself from the impact he himself would soon be facing, For a brief moment, he felt his life flash before his eyes, before he felt a fluffy hand gently scoop not just him, but Colin, Connor and Wizardmon, up into the air, before they all vanished in the same whirlwind. Not a moment too soon, all 4 would find themselves on Skadi's shoulder behind the HiAndromon, and the Kheimon giving a wry smile at them, as the orbs on her wrist started to spilt away from her and grow, "Did you guys really think I was going to leave you all to die back there?"Kenny could almost feel his heart in his mouth as he spoke, lightly patting his partner, "Never doubted you for a second there, buddy."
"Good," She could only chuckle as the orbs started to swirl in front of her once more, as another bright light glowed in the middle, and the vines started to grow for the last time, "Now let's help send this piece of scrap metal to where he came." As soon as the words left her mouth, the Kheimon would dig her hooves into the ground as a violent, heavy blast of scorching hot sand and stone would emerge from the circlet of orbs, hurtling towards the HiAndromon at an alarming pace, and with enough force alone to send him into the Gate within. But she wasn't finished just yet. Accompanying the massive sandblast from the desert, the vines would go out in one final assault, also hurtling towards the HiAndromon alongside it, ready to help shove the adversary into the massive gate, and away from the power source itself. Those vines just had nothing to lose at this point. And so did Skadi. She was tired, exhausted, weakened. And this battle had gone on for way too long. They had to end this. And fast.
Rather than just leave the humans to die, thanks to Kenny's intervention by way of DA-03: Renamon's Kohenkyo in a bid to save her, Skadi instead uses the card's ability to get them all out of the way of the attack. And looky here, since we're on the 5th turn of combat, she uses the KIZNA Division Ability/her own OPT, Will of the Land, to summon the sands and stones from the desert, and the vines, to help give that little extra push to HiAndromon to get into the gate. Will of the Land: Usable after five turns has passed in combat. This once per thread ability allows assault and combat division member of KIZNA to call forth power of the land to unleash their wrath upon an opponent. This attack can be in form of spike from the ground, a Gaia Force-esque attack, or a laser judgement, up to them. Its element based, mostly based on elements available in the nature. As side effect, it hastes recovery of all cooldown by 2 turns, regardless of hitting or not. In turn, each person only have one chance to shoot. Card Used: DA-03 Card Name: Renamon Type: Digimon Rank: Bronze Duration: 1 Post Kohenkyo: A small wind rotates around the target Digimon and they quickly transport from one place to another within five metres. Passives:Flight (non-combat passive): Thanks to the new wings protruding from her back, Skadi can now fly, allowing her to stand toe-to-toe with other flight oriented opponents, and allowing herself a new degree of flexibility in combat.
The Orbs (non-combat passive): The ten orbs, when not being used in an attack, are what Skadi can control on a whim. They can act as her eyesight, and are able to shift in size, perfect for spying on enemies. She can switch between what she wants to see on a whim, and summon them back to her whenever she pleases from anywhere she wants. If an orb is hit by an attack, they take no damage. However, due to their lightweight nature, they can easily be flung around by others by said attacks unless returned to Skadi, who serves as the tether, and prevents them from being flung off her.
Armourbreaker (passive): If this passive is triggered, any attack she uses will possess the ability to bypass defensive passives and defensive buffs the opponent(s) may have on them, as well as bypassing and destroying any active shields they may have on them. Each ability will have a minor cosmetic change to them to indicate whenever this ability is triggered. If used on an attack which can already bypass defensive buffs and destroy shields, that attack’s damage is doubled by x2. (3 post cooldown) (ACTIVATED THIS POST)
Snowbound (passive): As a being of winter, Skadi enjoys a complete immunity from any and all ice attacks her level or lower, healing back any damage equal to what she would have suffered if she gets hit by one (Super Mega ice attack damage are instead halved). However, in exchange, she takes double damage from all fire attacks thrown her way.
The Unchained Winter Goddess (passive): Skadi enjoys complete immunity from any effect from any attack, passive, terrain effect or debuff that would otherwise slow her down or stop her in her tracks completely, allowing her to move freely as she pleases. Active Buffs/Debuffs: Skadi: JT-33: Algorithmic Reach (Summon Algomon Mega's vines): 3/3 Will of the Land (Reduce all active cooldowns by 2 posts): 1/1 Cooldowns:Hailstorm Crash: 5/3 Eraser Storm: 4/3 Protection: 3/4 Armourbreaker: 4/3 Will of the Land: OPT Cards Used (5/7): JT-25: Kuwaga Blade (1/1) VB-28: Mirror Shield (1/1) JT-33: Algorithmic Reach (1/1) SD-09: Bota Bubble (1/1) DA-03: Renamon (1/1)

Post by Colin, Luke & Bellamy on Mar 2, 2021 11:19:08 GMT
Colin could see the logic of Connor's reply. HiAndromon's advantage was the tower. Removing him from it would render him just as vulnerable as any other digimon. Colin didn't have any tools on him that could do such a thing, just his own digiport, but that took too long to charge and would be too risky to use in such a heavy battle as this.
Fortunately the answer seemed to come from allies. Silence happened to have a very powerful portal indeed, while Mae went all-out against the enemy, and at the same time, Kenny used the Kohenkyo card to get the humans out of the way of HiAndromon's attack. Colin gasped for a moment at the experience, but feeling that he was still alive, and that Luke and Bellamy were still there with him, he called out to them to help.
“Get him into the gate!” he cried. “Don't let up on the onslaught!”
Even though Mae and Skadi were going all-out with their abilities, HiAndromon could recover at any time. The AvengeKidmon and BanchoCherubimon gave a shout of affirmation and closed in for their strikes.
”Destruction Trigger!” Bellamy snarled as he aimed a heavy kick with his gun-leg at HiAndromon, the large caliber barrel firing as he struck, hopefully launching him toward Silence's portal.
”Thunder Hammer!” Luke cried, using a quick-firing bolt of lightning to attempt to achieve the same. Hopefully it would be enough. This battle was severely testing for the three of them, but working with their allies was paying off quite well so far. They hoped that this would clinch it, and they could finally find out exactly why this nightmarish tower had appeared here.
Bellamy uses Destruction Trigger on HiAndromon, aiming to give him an extra kick toward the Gate of Destiny.
Destruction Trigger: Bellamy aims a kick at his opponent, triggering a gunshot in his foot as he does so, dealing strong point-blank damage.
Luke uses Thunder Hammer to attempt to blast HiAndromon further toward the portal.
Thunder Hammer: Luke casts down a quick bolt of lightning, aiming to smack the foe down like a hammer. A basic S-M level attack with no cooldown.
Spear of Ezekiel cooldown: 2/3

"... Is that..."
All they needed, apparently, was a hint of an idea. Off the Wizardmon's offhand remark of portals, the Shutmon, of all Digimon, managed to pull off what was arguably the strongest transportation move in the Digital World, the Gate of Destiny. The entirety of the Giga Cannon was thrust right through those open, golden gates, and the HiAndromon found himself gritting his teeth.
By itself, however, he would not be drawn in so easily. Lowering himself to one knee, he grasped one of his claws against the ground, tearing and grasping right into the sheet metal beneath him. "So what if I rely on the gate? What are we all but weaklings relying on the tools we have?"
Of course, the rest of the group wasn't going to simply allow the HiAndromon to stand his ground, nor was the HiAndromon going to sit idly by. Granted, the method he used to secure himself made him more-or-less a sitting duck, but it didn't make him nigh-defenseless - and the approaching Kidmon would be made well-aware of that. As he made his approach, the HiAndromon raised his free arm, and countered: "Main cannon!" Left uncontested, one well-aimed shot would likely knock Bellamy off-course, the machine gritting his teeth as that electrical current from Luke's assault ran through his body.
Next was that assault of sand, and this one hit head-on - but to Skadi's likely dismay, the HiAndromon held on through it. His plating was bright and scalding red, and the ground he grasped to was strained and cracked, but the regeneration was already beginning to kick in, that electrical current sparking away and his armor quickly returning to a normal color...
... Save for one last assault from a ticked-off Rasielmon. One last push, one last blast of energy tore the HiAndromon straight off of the ground - and in that blinding flash of light, a faint shadow, presumably the HiAndromon's frame hidden behind it, could be seen flung through the gate.
For a moment, the battlefield was silent. "Ah, those cards are still tricky things, aren't they?"
Despite it all, the Wizardmon couldn't help but give a chuckle. For the location they had teleported to, the champion-level sorcerer found himself sitting atop an old server, as Connor gave a short nod towards Kenny. "Pleasantries can wait for a moment... the gate would be..."
"Mm, judging from the way he was regenerating, wouldn't it have to be close?"
"If anything, I would guess right underneath our feet." 'Connor', knowing that the Gate of Destiny could pry itself open at any moment, moved right onto that torn-apart battlefield - in fact, right to the destroyed ground right where the HiAndromon stood - and clacked the bottom of his staff against the ground. Connor had already been able to prove that he could alter the code of the wall and even bend the created Digimon to his will - so what followed was, perhaps, that power taken to its limit.
"Gate. Realize your presence before us." Despite the simple statement, there seemed to be an odd sense of 'authority' to those words, each one echoing in the head of everyone that could hear it. And as soon as that sentence was completed, the artifact in question made itself known. In fact, Connor had to take a step back as the data itself began to manifest, as a five-foot tall four-faced pyramid, with a one-foot base. The entire construct looked to be unassuming - literally, a metal triangle - and as Connor reached his hand forward to act, he'd find himself stopped.
The Wizardmon had stepped forward, and held his staff up against Connor's chest, holding him back.
"What are - "
"Passing the Gate from one user to another may simply create more problems in the end. Now, I don't know how this thing works." Lowering the staff, the Wizardmon gave a nod towards the pyramid. "But if I suspect that you're giving it an order other than to revoke that mad machine's control over it, then I'll have to ask the several patrons that I've hired to pry you away from it."
"... Tch." The clear expression of disappointment was visible in Connor's eyes, but he relented, regardless, returning a nod to the Wizardmon. And provided no-one else stepped in his way, the man would step forward, and rest his palm against the structure. It responded to his touch, markings similar to the wall of the tower lighting up on the side - and from the tip of the pyramid, a flat, transparent image was projected, silver in color:
"The Machine's Gate, then... alright." Connor gave a nod. "Heed my order, and cease following all other commands that you have received within the last seventy-two hours."
With those words, Connor's command echoing as his words did before, a white pulse would run straight through the pyramid - and with it, a loud whirr began to run through the entire tower. The markings on the walls started to dull, and where the group could once see outwards, the walls would once more become opaque - a boring steel gray surrounding the rest of them.
... That left the still-standing Gate of Destiny in the room. With both the HiAndromon and the OmegaShutmon lost behind its gates.
"..." Lost.
The HiAndromon felt lost. Floating amidst that static-filled space, the machine could no longer feel his protection. Sparks flew from his joints, his cannon was no longer properly responding, and he could scarcely stabilize himself...
... But he was still operational. The cannon arm once more turned into a normal set of claws, and the machine looked right back up to the gate that had shut.
The gate. And the single Digimon now standing in the way.
"... I suppose there's only one way to settle our differences." The HiAndromon's tone was flat, his gaze locked with the eyes of the swordsmon. "Humor me. Let me fight to my last."

It had always been there, that scratching annoying sound at the back of her head. The idea that she wasn't doing enough that she had never done enough and that she wasn't doing enough now. She could feel the vibrations in the air more acutely now that they were in her realm. She could feel the angry, the hatred, the lust for destruction slowly build in the back of her head like an oppressive aura beyond anything that she could reasonably explain. The deep hatred stemmed from the same place she had drawn this power from. The deep utter disrespect of the world that this gate had on the surrounding lands; the varying digimon set something off. She felt the growl rise in her throat, the hackles on her back slowly started to raise. She felt her armor growing tight around her body. She wasn't growing but something else was coming. Something else that was furious with this creature in front of her. Silence was anything but her namesake; especially when giving into whatever this was. Whatever this could be. The words the hiandromon had said fell through on deaf ears. She felt the gauntlets start to slough off; she felt her armor fall to pieces. Her form felt like it was shrinking, but she felt like it was bursting at the same time. This weird miss match of horrid shifting. Her muzzle shortened, her ears became more like her base form. Her visor crumbled only to reform, clutching desperately at her head as she felt this outrageous pain. This painful transformation that brought this huge claws, wings made literally out of blades. The pinpoint of her feet brought to a finite state; practically swords in their own right. Her mouth creaked open and a low growling groan escaped from her. She felt like a star was collapsing in her chest, unaware of the powerful beacon of energy that lay there. She didn't seem to notice that there was energy crackling from it and along her chest, even her arms. The renamon variant seemed like she was going to break apart for a moment but... that wasn't the case. The energy stabilized and the pulsating mass of energy that was her chest seemed to calm for a moment. As to answer the hi-andromon of what he wanted. A fight... She was going to give him so much more than that. Like a thunderbolt she launched herself forward, at a speed that normal eyes simply couldn't follow. The Gracerenamon didn't seem to care at the idea of leaving this machine in one piece. Others may have had greater anger than silence did; others might have had a cooler head or a better idea than it is. But sometimes you just needed to let loose. This was one of those times. Her claws were already razor sharp but they seemed to be doing something more. Something far worse than her prior form could manage. If she struck him with these claws he'd feel her data practically fighting his own to force whatever attack he used next to use far more energy than it rightfully should have... Log: -Silence digivolved into GraceRenamon. -Silence doesn't seem to really care what the andromon has to say. -Silence used Sliver claws. Passives: Atomic Spada|Combat Passive: The claws of GraceRenamon are far more deadly than many of it's counterparts. Able to bypass physical damage resistance up to 20%.
Edens Visor|Combat Passive: This digimon's visor passively blocks blinding and mental domination effects that require the use of eyes.
Spacial Hopper|Combat Passive: This digimon is blindingly fast, able to move at speeds faster than the bare eye can track. It's a little hard to steer and it often more than not crashes into things when it misses.
Blade wings|Passive: When not in use in an attack GraceRenamon's wings function... well as wings! Allowing her to fly with the same maneuverability and speed as she can on the ground!
Mark of the Knight|Passive: Each individual within the order have their own marking it may be located anywhere they please as long as it's easy to see/find. It signifies their power and their ability to act on their own or in a group. This symbol provides them with a Light regen[5%] per combat posting round. Well, if people wanted their exposition, Mae was not going to be around to receive any lore dumps. Right now, she was going to ensure that this charade was ended in swift order. "I'll be back." She hissed, before she took off through the Gate of Destiny, still standing in the room. She was fairly ticked off enough that she was willing to pursue something that was already good as dead just so she could blast it to smithereens herself. And within the static-y environment? The moment the Rasielmon laid sight on the HiAndromon, she waved a hand as flaming spears appeared all around her, before surging for the 'mon. There were no words to really be had here, just...tear the thing apart with the unidentified Renamon variant of which was already engaged in combat. Tear it to bits. Ensure nothing was left of the king who lacked a crown.
Mae pursues, because her ego is that bruised. She gets in the gate and if she manages to find HiAndromon and Silence, she's going to attack the former with Divine Punishment. Divine Punishment: A number of projections in the shape of spears appear all around Rasielmon before they surge forth to impale a single target. As with the mega iteration of this move, the target, should they be hit with this, are stricken with an enervation that imposes an additional two turns of cooldown to their used moves. Three turn cooldown. Cipher duration: 3/3 - Final turn. Cooldowns: Cipher: Pending. Knowledge Stream: 4/4 Spatial Causeway: 4/4 Mind Charge: 2/3 Divine Punishment: 0/3 Cards Swiped...2/3? 2/3 still.

How was that damned HiAndromon effortlessly shrugging off one of her strongest attacks, much less all of them? The Kheimon would grit her teeth as she looked at the target dead in the eye, grinding her feet into the ground as the sandblast kept futility firing into the core of the HiAndromon, hoping, just hoping, this would be enough to force him into the portal alone.
Only when a blinding bright light seemingly engulfed her vision and the HiAndromon seemingly vanishing into thin air would her sandblast die down, as her own circlet of light started to die down and the orbs returned to their normal size before reassuming their position floating around her wrists. Despite the seemingly apparent victory, the Kheimon could be seen painting hard, one hand now having planted the axe into the ground just to hold herself up, her body slowly shaking.
As for Kenny? Well, having just been saved from a potentially lethal energy cannon blast, the poor kid barely had time to compose himself. He could only watch as Connor went off towards the battlefield, but his glance noticed something feeling a little off, and at that moment, something went off in his head.
"Wait a minute! Where did Silence run off to?"
Seemed he was just unfamiliar with Silence and what using the Gate of Destiny actually entailed. Like HiAndromon before her, she too had vanished, seemingly into the portal, with little to no reassurance to her own survival. Guttural growls could be heard from where the portal stood, making his stomach churn with worry as he could only find himself staring into the maw of the portal.
In a matter of moments, Mae herself would also dash through the portal, with little warning herself.
"Wait-!" Skadi's cry would ultimately fall on deaf ears. By the time the Kheimon attempted to reach out to her and pull her back, she had already run through the portal herself, leaving her out in the open along with Luke, Bellamy, and the 'humans' (and the Wizardmon). It's OK. She's much more stronger than me! I'm sure she and Silence will be fine back there! They're strong! They can kick his shiny metal ass easily! She tried to force a smile under these self-reassurances.
Am I just not as strong as they are? Did I really do much to actually help them? She could only give a sigh as she looked down, only offering a sad glance towards Connor and the 'gate's true form assembling itself right in front of them, before seemingly outright killing the power right in front of them. To Skadi, it was merely a bittersweet affair. They did all they could to stop the HiAndromon, but compared to the others, she barely left even a harmless scratch onto the HiAndromon.
That didn't escape her tamer's attention, "Hey Skadi, are you OK?"
"It's fine." The Kheimon quietly reassured him, "It's just... am I honestly weak compared to my friends? They're all so strong and powerful. They actually did as much as they could to help save the day. I barely could do much to help, no matter how hard they tried." Her eyes glanced back towards the portal once more, "Who knows what's happening in there? I just don't think I'm strong enough to know. I wish I could do just a little more to help, so I can be as strong as them, not just for myself, but for my friends."
Oh, Kenny could defiantly feel that. He found himself a little lost for words as he too glanced at the portal, the overwhelming energy inside this weird alternate dimension merely taunting and intimidating the two. Surely, Mae and Silence wouldn't call for their heads on a silver platter hadn't they followed along, no matter the risks actually entering the portal ensured.
With a quiet sigh, he glanced up to his partner, "I think we should talk about it once they're done. Colin, you have any idea what we could do here?"

Bellamy’s green eyes widened as he saw the barrel of HiAndromon’s main cannon aim at him. “Shit!” he snarled as he broke off his attack to evade, but by now he knew his brother was well enough honed in on their battle technique to follow on where he couldn’t. And Luke followed on, understanding completely why Bellamy thought it futile to follow on with that strike.
Luke’s attack connected, and he made sure to discharge every last volt he had available for now into the bolt of lightning. And they watched as it helped send HiAndromon into the Gate of Destiny set up by Silence.
It took Bellamy, Luke and Colin a few moments of recovery to be able to speak again. That had been far the most intense battle they had been in so far. It definitely wasn’t one that they would have been victorious alone, that much they knew.
Still, the digimon twins stuck to protocol and quickly returned to the side of their partner, ready for any further threats. Their attention turned to Connor and Wizardmon, they were now turning their attention toward a “gate”, which presumably provided the HiAndromon with all that power that had allowed him to survive their onslaught.
“I don’t like this, Colin.” Luke admitted to his partner. “That gate let HiAndromon withstand all our attacks. That much power… I don’t think we should act carelessly here.”
“Well, while I agree with that, brother…” Bellamy responded, sounding much more serious in his AvengeKidmon form than he did in his Impmon form, “We’ve been hired by these people to do a job, and that job is to get this contraption out of our faces. So as long as they work toward that, I’m cool with it.”
Then Connor tried his thing and Wizardmon stopped him. “Ohey, I’m now not cool with this, what the hell?” asked Bellamy. Luke and Colin were inclined to agree. Thankfully Connor’s orders to shut down all operations to the pyramid seemed fairly legit in their view.
“...well you could’ve been less obtuse about that, really.” Luke muttered, hoping this would mean the end of the structure’s operations. But he, Colin and Bellamy gasped as Silence and Mae followed HiAndromon into the Gate of Destiny.
“We’re staying here!” Colin declared, noting right away that Skadi seemed winded by the battle, having expended much energy here. Kenny asked what they should do. His answer came relatively easily. “We’ll stay here and act how we can. Our goal is to shut down the operations of this place.” he glanced at Connor, the unknown person having behaved more and more suspiciously, acting without telling them what he was doing, but so far he seemed to be the only thing they could rely on to help achieve this goal. Wizardmon knew nothing about this place and neither did they, but Connor did. For now, Colin felt more comfortable being near Connor to see what he would do next.
Luke and Bellamy meanwhile turned their attention to Skadi. “You alright there? Need some healing?” Bellamy asked, gently. While he couldn’t easily restore lost energy, if Skadi was bothered by wounds and injuries, that was something he could help with.
Colin watched the portal, hoping that Silence and Mae had everything under control on the other side. If HiAndromon got back out and regained his connection with the structure’s power, that would be a problem.

Admittedly, the chaos of the fight hadn't fully left them. Both K and Mae had vanished past the border of the portal, Skadi was left to worry about the fate of her friends, and a feeling of general unease hung right through the air. Even past the battle, there was a definite state of tension between the Wizardmon and Connor, over just what to do with the Gate, now that it was in their grasp.
It was to the point where, when Bellamy made his objection known to the Wizardmon and Connor, the two didn't exactly know which person he was objecting to - or if he was just objecting to the idea of conflict in general. After Connor gave his order, the Wizardmon once more put himself between the odd person and the now-visible Gate.
Unfortunately, 'obtuse' was the only way the Wizardmon knew how to operate. "In due time, Colin. Right now, I'm going to work on the hope that our two Super-Mega level friends, who were rightly thrashing the machine while he was already regenerating himself, are making short work of our foe on the other side of those golden doors. Assuming that, so long as we're all here in the room, no-one's going to be able to interfere with the gate."
"In that case - "
"... Meaning we should turn our attention to the elephant in the room." The Wizardmon turned to face Connor. "About the sheer convenience that it is, that someone who is able to commune with the tower and de-activate a Gate - an artifact no-one else in this room other than you knew existed until today - made himself known right when the resulting tower cropped up, heading directly for the target."
"When all things are added up, that's simply one too many things to be considered reasonable. Whether your intentions are well-off or not? You've simply refused to tell us your role in any of this."
"..."
Another standstill. The Wizardmon gave a sigh. "What do you all think? The problem at hand has been solved, but I hate to leave this 'live lead' of a Gate simply sitting around here. Far too dangerous to allow any one person to control it." Let's be honest - the HiAndromon's full potential was hardly based on his own strength. So far from the Gate, it was hard to tell if he could even fight on his own, much less in this abstract, weightless environment.
In the face of the GraceRenamon's straightforward assault, the HiAndromon raised its cannon - only to be torn asunder by a sudden onslaught from Mae's divine punishment. Sudden spears pierced right through his center, and the HiAndromon, who knew not how to fight on his own power, cursed his own weakness...
... Just as that silver claw broke right through his frame. His body, in that same instance, would be rend and torn into trash data.
... Leaving the irate Mae, and the possibly-maddened GraceRenamon, left alone in the void of the Gate of Destiny.

This digimon was nothing.
Less than nothing, torn asunder by two beings of immense power. Broken in twain and left to become trash data. Consumed likely by the forces of the place they were now in. The gracerenamon stared at the dissolving data in front of her; the anger that she felt was still there. The indescribable rage of this location seemed to edge her forward a little bit.
She’d turn her head this way and that; as though searching and finding nothing but mae. A creature that her eyes slid over time and time again. She didn’t want to fight whatever that was; her instincts screamed at the idea. That she should run; sure she was feeling the rage but that rage was nothing compared to the instinct of survival.
A few moments more passed and rather than stay in such a place like this? Well the form buckled and the effect of this ability would quickly end. Likely vaulting the two out. Silence being in a renamon form; wearing her knight uniform and somewhat dizzily sitting on the ground.
Every time she took that form it bloody well left her drained and pretty out of it. This was no different.
”...Judging by the disappointment I’m feeling somewhere in my… ugh… core I take he he didn’t put up much of a fight?”
The renamon really wished the world would stop spinning and she just kinda sat there. Wondering if maybe she should just go home now that they had taken care of this. Was the rest of all this nonsense done too? She’d note the others and blink a bit; eyes trying to focus on the closest bunch.
”...Oh. Is everything all right here?”

Pathetic.
This HiAndromon had come into possession of what could potentially be described as unlimited potential, unlimited power, and what did he do? He allowed such a simple plan to just make everything crumble. "...So much for the glory of the Metal Empire." Mae stated, dryly.
She hated it here. She wanted to go home. She wanted out of this crap. The eyes of the Rasielmon met the eyes of the GraceRenamon. There was nary any emotion spent towards that single glance. As if she wrote it off entirely. Even if a fight could be had? It would be a waste. Little more than that. The two were spat out from the area with Silence's degeneration back to a lower form.
"Two hits." Was all the Rasielmon stated in regards to that. With that out of the way... "So, trash's been taken out. I'm tired of this charade." Mae stated, quite plainly as she leveled a stare towards Connor. "Explain your purpose here, as well as the purpose of the gate before I blow you to kingdom come--and believe me, not only am I capable of doing that, I know for a fact that my friends are capable of helping."

Despite the talk between Colin, the Wizardmon, and Connor on how to handle the Gate once and for all, it was hard for Skadi to look away from the roaring portal itself. Silence and Mae were strong enough to muscle their way into there. To take on HiAndromon all on their own without her assistance. To win when lives were clearly on the line.
She wasn't.
She could only barely cast a glance over to Bellamy trying to comfort her, bless his heart, "I'm fine..." She quietly muttered, her gaze still locked to the hypnotic-looking portal, "It's just that... am I weak compared to the rest of you? I couldn't even make a single dent in that HiAndromon, no matter how much I tried. And yet, Slience... well..." One quick gesture to the massive portal and Bellamy would most likely understand what she was on about, "look what she's capable of! I can't compete with that! And Mae just rushed in with no hesitation, too! She's brave! And strong! I... I just..." She had to bite her lip for a brief moment just to shut herself up.
"I'm sorry, Bellamy." She simply stood there, quietly thinking about her circumstances. Even as the portal vanished in front of her and Silence and Mae emerged seemingly mostly unscathed, she could only sigh sadly to herself. She wanted to greet them back, to make sure they were OK and all, but right now, she was practically weighed down by her own inner demons that emerged over the course of the battle.
It sucked. Plain and simple.
It wouldn't be like Kenny to not notice either. He was used to her normally happy-go-lucky self, and her subsequent form's cool and calculated, yet strong and wild fighting styles in combat, yet something about Skadi here just felt off. He swore he could put his finger on it, but he wasn't too sure. All he could do was leave Mae and possibly Connor to do the talking for him.
He just sat down for a brief moment, rubbing his sore head as he simply addressed Silence, "Yeah, we're fine."

Colin frowned as he tried to come to reason with this mission and the individuals he was working with. At what point should he put his foot down and demand a more clear path of objectives from Connor and Wizardmon? For all he knew from them, they could also have evil intentions and were hiring them as muscles to get into control of a machine they wanted to use for their own devices. But… no, that couldn’t be right. In their actions so far, they seemed altruistic, if a little vague. He was willing to continue to work along them. And with him, Luke and Bellamy were too.
Discussion then turned to the subject of the gate. Colin hesitated in his opinion, wondering what would happen to Silence and Mae if they acted against it. Luke hesitated for a moment too, glancing at his brother for his thoughts. Bellamy voiced them.
“Give them a bit. Those two are damn strong, they should take care of HiAndromon and be outta there soon.” the AvengeKidmon said. Colin and Luke thus agreed, and their faith was given justice by Silence and Mae returning from the gate, both asking Connor exactly what would happen next.
Bellamy gave a smile at Skadi, who said she felt rather weak compared to the rest of them. “It’s okay, Skadi, you did good.” he assured her.
“Yeah, you did.” Luke added, noticing how upset she seemed to be. “Don’t worry, we’ve been in your position loads of times, with digimon stronger than us doing most of the work. We used those moments to learn how to be stronger ourselves. Don’t think bad of yourself over this, I reckon it won’t be long before you’re the strongest in a team teaching your less experienced teammates how it’s done.”
Supposing that was all that was needed to be said for now, Colin turned to Connor and Wizardmon. “So then, what’s next on the mission agenda?” he asked, hoping to keep it to the point.
