"Ah, see?"
Yes, 'ah, see' might not have been the most appropriate reaction to seeing a Renamon and a Rasielmon being flung out from a multidimensional portal, but it was still a positive sight to see - especially less the HiAndromon. As for Skadi's comments, the Wizardmon shook his head. "Well, for fighting an adversary that was, by definition, 'invincible', I don't think you should beat yourself up on not having a very specific utility. Take your teammates' advice on this."
That aside, there was still the elephant in the room, for which the group approached at varying levels of aggressiveness: Colin, asking about the mission at hand rather than the Gate; Silence asking about the situation in the room; and Mae openly threatening the odd human and assuring that her cohorts would help to get the information out of him. Obviously, the latter was the one that would drum up the biggest reaction, Connor letting out an audible 'tsk' at that.
"Well, honestly, I'm not entirely sure if the rest of the group is feeling as gung-ho as our feline friend is right now, but considering your reluctance to explain yourself throughout, should I guess that you're not going to divulge too much?"
"..." The odd human gave a sigh, shaking his head. "Honestly, I'm going to have to reconsider my approach to this whole thing."
"Well, then it seems like we're all agree that we're on different pages here. Honestly, its disappointing that I don't get to look more into this marvel, but I'm sure everything that we've just done is going to make the surrounding city quite noisy going forward." And with that remark, the Wizardmon would raise one palm towards the Gate, forming a makeshift barrier around the artifact. "I will have to gather some associates to make sure that no-one has access to this, for the time being. I trust you can see yourself out?"
"Mm." With a simple noise and a nod, Connor would turn, stepping over the sparking debris towards the stairs upward. And as he stepped away, the sorcerer rolled his eyes, pointed a staff towards the left, and opened a portal to Rustport.
"Remarkably short-sighted, isn't he?"
