As Toki stood up from his attack, he was taken slightly aback. The ground beneath his feet shifted slightly and felt looser from Kazuo's burrowing and Toki knew that he could appear from anywhere. Would it be at a distance for a ranged attack, or an ambush? He tried moving to get to more stable ground, but before he could Kazuo burst from the ground behind him. He smiled a bit, impressed by how well he thought on the fly.
He tried to bring his arms together to guard, but Kazuo's claws broke through and struck him into the air where he was mostly unable to retaliate as well as he could. Kazuo then swiftly flew upwards and struck him again and sent him crashing into the ground. The impact rattled him and knocked the breath out of his lungs, but he inhaled through gritted teeth and sprung back up, right hand clenched. Energy gathered around his fist as he looked up towards Kazuo. "Earth-Splitting Palm!" He shouted as he thrust his palm forward. A beam of energy shot forward, the wind pressure around Toki flattening the grass next to him.
The beam shot forward towards Kazuo rapidly and with the force of the strongest of punches. Toki returned his fist to his side and resumed his martial stance with a deep exhale to focus his mind. So far he was greatly enjoying himself. A friendly sparring match was something he missed. That, and he was teaching someone in the process. Someone he had no doubt could become an amazing duo in the future.

"ALRIGHT!" Yuji couldn't help but cheer from afar after seeing what his partner had done. He used his Rolling Guard move to dig underneath Toki and avoid the shockwaves, and gave Toki a surprise attack from behind as well. Kazuo really was selling himself short with his "I'm weak" talk, since he was clearly good at thinking on his feet as demonstrated by that maneuver!
"I... I really did do it," Kazuo said, snapping out of his battle mode. If his mouth were visible it'd be in the shape of a big ol' goofy grin right about now. He actually got an attack in, and on Sir Toki no less, of course he was happy!
That brief moment of vulnerability would sadly be his downfall though. While Kazuo was still giddy about what he pulled off, Toki spent that time charging another attack. All Kazuo noticed was Toki calling the attack and the energy that surrounded his palm. That was when the energy attack sailed toward the Tentomon.
"Oh n-" He unfortunately didn't get to finish his thought as the energy wave collided with him, damaging Kazuo greatly and pushing him back quite a few feet. He rolled on the ground a couple times before friction grinded him to a halt, the Tentomon now facing upwards as he lay on the ground. It was unclear if he could still even battle after this.
"Oh fuck, Kazuo!" Yuji yelled, running past Toki and kneeling down to his partner. No visible injuries, and Kazuo was indeed still conscious. "Oh thank god, are you alright?"
"Yu... Yuyu?" the Tentomon asked in a dizzy voice. "Since when were you quintuplets...?" Kazuo was hit by the full force of "Earth-Shattering Palm." It's a coin flip if he's still able to spar or not.

Toki exhaled sharply as he shifted out of his combat stance. He looked over and frowned as he saw Kazuo currently down for the count. Did he overdo it? He rubbed the back of his head nervously "Sorry about that hit...looks like I got you good with that one." He said as he approached. "Here, let me get you back on your feet, friend." He said as a surge of data burst forth around the area. Toki's form shined brightly as data streamed towards him.
Once fully enveloped, the data shifted and grew until it began to disperse in a flurry of flower-shaped fragments. The figure that stood before the two radiated a power that might seem slightly overwhelming, but the kind expression of Tsusagimon might ease their worries. He kneeled and waved his hands "Moonlight Mandala." He said as shimmering patterns formed around them. The intricate art glowed upon completion and gave off a healing energy that would ease any pains that Kazuo was feeling at the moment.
Toki sat with his legs crossed and smiled at the two "I did not expect that attack to strike so true. Forgive me. I must say I was impressed with that last attack. Perfect use of your abilities and environment. Situational awareness is invaluable, as is thinking on the fly." He said. "I apologize for the sudden shift in power. This is the form that has my healing abilities."
Even after a little duel, he was still cheerful and full of optimistic energy "That was quite fun. It truly reminds one of where you come from and where you can potentially be one day. I'd say this was a wonderful exercise." He said with a bow of his head "I thank you for this opportunity. Now, is there anything else I may do for you? It is the least I can do."

Before Yuji or Kazuo could even process what had just happened, Toki slide evolved from his Rookie form to a form that could only be described as "he just went Super Saiyan." Yuji stared up at this humanoid rabbit sage thing with a look that could only be described as unsure terror. Its facial expression was definitely calm, but that still didn't help with the unsureness of the whole thing.
Toki kneeled beside Kazuo and waved his hands around him, with shimmering patterns forming and a radiating light that began to heal Kazuo back to full health. The Tentomon raised his head up as soon as the light faded away. "My head's no longer spinning," he commented before looking up at his healer. Upon doing so, Kazuo yelped and scooted back a bit, not recognizing this figure initially. "S-Sir Toki? Is that you?"
Toki would then sit down with his legs crossed, smiling at both Yuji and Kazuo. He praised Kazuo for that attack against him, using the environment to his advantage and all. Kazuo began to blush, scratching the back of his head with his claw. "Heheheh... thank you, Sir Toki. I honestly don't know how I thought of that kind of move. It's like I blanked out and then suddenly you crashed onto the ground. Is that what battling is like?"
"And just think, right before the fight you were worried about how weak you were," Yuji said with a smile, patting his little buddy's head. "You might've lost but you really held your own. Think you're gonna wanna train more, get strong like Toki here?"
"...yeah. Yeah, I think I can be a fighter, Yuyu!" Kazuo looked back up at Toki. "Thank you for sparring with me, Sir Toki! You really helped me out, and now I'm pumped up to train more and get even stronger!" The spirit user then asked if there was anything else he could do. "Hm... well, maybe a phone number or Tamernet account? That way Yuyu and I can get in touch with you easily!"
Toki Akiyama was definitely a big influence on Yuji's view of what he wants to do in this Digital World, and on Kazuo for giving him the confidence he needed to continue his own training. Little did any of them know, this very encounter would be the first step for Yuji and Kazuo, the first step towards their royal destiny...

He knew that this form was intimidating, but that's precisely why he used it as an example that power is something that doesn't necessarily have to be feared. It could be used to nurture and help others grow. He smiled warmly at Kazuo "Many martial artists commit things to muscle memory. Instinct takes over and your brain naturally figures out what the next best move is if you have the skills to handle it. You're a natural, Kazuo."
He was pleased at their resolve to continue training so that one day they could be strong too. They had heroic hearts and wanted to do good by the world, that much he felt from their interactions together. He bowed his head politely as his form shimmered and dispersed back to his human form. "Any time!" He would exchange his contact information with them. "If there's anything you need, I'll do my best to help out." He assured.
He waved to them as they left for now "Farewell!" He wished them well and looked at the sky with a beaming smile. "Well, my friend...I hope you're proud of me wherever you are. I know I'm proud of how far I've come...and I have you to thank for it...it's my turn to be that beacon for others, as you were for me." He said to himself. Tsusagimon's spirit truly did live on in him in more ways than one.
Toki stretched and yawned. He should get back to the monastery to check on everyone. He and Aylin still had some plans to come up with for the team. While this world had its troubles, he felt it was his duty and honor to assist wherever he could as well as bridge the gap between humanity and digimon.
