This replaces her entire bio, and anything past Champion form is removed. Dumamon has been renamed to Chitramon.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Name:
Iona Eileen Mason
Alias:
None
Age:
17 (nearly 18)
Gender:
Female
Height:
5'5"
Weight:
126 lbs
Alignment:
Neutral
Birth Date:
August 29th
Birth Place:
Glasgow, Scotland (Maryhill area)
Western Horoscope:
Virgo
Skills/Talents:
Cooking, Being surly, lockpicking, street fighting (forms that utilize her opponent's strength against them)
Personality:
Guarded and pensive, Iona can often be found rushing through social interaction, speaking quickly and with little care. She will observe the rules of Japanese propriety, but often without much feeling or conviction. Her brown eyes, often narrowed, are cast to the side in hopes of avoiding as much trouble from others as possible. She will speak up, loudly, if pushed or threatened, however. Any sense of justice she has left is often superseded by her survival instinct, and she is not above forcing her way through a problem at the cost of others. She is also very protective of her possessions, often not allowing others to handle them, and guards her things hyper-vigilantly.
She was often quiet and reserved in the years prior to her incarceration, but
ultimately went out of her way to observe and cater to the feelings of others. If that consideration is still part of her personality, it has long been suppressed.
Still, she can be observed displaying a soft spot for animals. She will often sneak away leftover food from customers in order to feed stray cats found in the alley behind her place of work.
Appearance:
All of her baby fat has since melted away under the conditions of her incarceration. She now stands at five-foot-five rail-thin, though her hips carry some hint of feminine curve. Her limbs ripple with sinewy muscle.
Iona is obsessive about makeup now more than ever. What might seem to others to be an oppressive beauty standard is, to her, a freedom she was once denied. She layers it on thick, sometimes (when she can get away with it) she makes herself white as a ghost, with eyeliner dark and wings flared out in creative designs--or else her makeup is derivative of the 80s and 90s underground post-punk and dark-dance sub-cultures.
Iona has numerous piercings in her nose and ears, which she removes for work. She is rarely seen without black clothing. She keeps her hair long and naturally black to avoid standing out in most situations, but when she can she will wear punk clothing and self-made items that are often ripped, torn, or otherwise deconstructed.
FaceClaim: JOJO'S BIZARRE ADVENTURE: STONE OCEAN • jolyne cujoh • Iona Mason
Personal History:
Iona Eileen Mason. Nearly 18, released from juvenile detention on account of her age. Iona was convicted of false identification, as well as a host of other small misdemeanors when she was picked up by police following an incident at a nightclub that she had been visiting illegally (see "Danger on the Dancefloor" ). Once in police custody, Iona was placed with the male population due to her assigned sex at birth. A pattern of increasing criminality followed, with numerous parole violations causing her stay to be extended well beyond her misdemeanor status.
This was an especially tragic turn of events, as she had been sent to Japan by her Scottish mother, Beth Mason, to live with her Japanese father in hopes that she would clean up her behavior. Following an incident of violence in which she had been involved while living in her hometown of Maryhill (see "MCP51-C: Lucky Strike"), her father initiated the process to allow her to emigrate to Japan as a full citizen. Under the stern gaze of her father, Arita Michi, a mild-mannered computer programmer, Iona was beginning to excel in school while fostering a love for both the English and Japanese literature masters.
All that came crashing down the night a group of Digimon crashed that nightclub. Forced to intervene with her own digimon, Iona was spotted leaving the club suspiciously. Police responded to reports of disturbances quickly spotted her and flagged her down, whereupon she was discovered with false identification stating her age as twenty-one, as well as a can of mace (which, while legal under Japanese law in an instance that a woman requires a defense weapon, is so only at the discretion of a judge--the judge presiding over Iona's case did not find her possession of pepper spray to be necessary or lawful). Iona's prior history in Scotland (despite being cleared of the assault charge), as well as her other indiscretions both before and after her initial arrest, contributed to her unusually long sentencing.
Iona had to learn how to defend herself while in the system, especially given her difference from her fellow inmates. She learned how to brawl by utilizing her opponent's strength against them. Though she was often still defeated, a fellow inmate took interest in her: A yakuza-in-training by the name of Teramoto Shig taught her how to hone her potential until she was able to win some fights--or, at least, make the prospect of bullying or attacking her carry a risk of injury that some found not worth the trouble.
Now released, Iona has yet to find her partner digimon, and does not know if she even still lives. She is also living alone, on funds provided by her father, whose whereabouts are also unknown. To keep from going broke, she has taken a job at a local internet cafe. With no plans for higher education, her life has effectively stalled.
The only thing she has left of her missing partner is her digivice, which now only displays a round symbol with many lines radiating from the center--similar to a sun, reminding her of a clock face. She knows not the significance of this.
Backpack Contents:
- Books.
- If she's in the Digital World, cooking supplies.
- Large, leatherbound diary. A gift from her father.
Digivice:
Standard D-3 Digivice with black accent color.
Partner’s Name:
Ocellimon
Default Form:
Rookie
Gender:
Female
Alignment:
Neutral
Skills/Talents:
Hiding, hunting small prey, spying from a distance, listening in on others' conversations
Personality:
Ocellimon is a loner who prefers back alleys to the safety of Iona's apartment. She is more suited to hunting small rodents for sustenance and only comes to Iona's aid whenever that pesky Tamer's bond rears its ugly head and forces her to abandon her own sense of self-preservation. She's a digimon that isn't well-suited to being a Tamer's partner.
She only fights to defend herself, is more suited to hiding than combat. The most she can kill on her own are mice and rats in the cities. She prefers taking care of herself, and Iona (who is just a wee bit weirded out by this whole "digital monsters" thing), spitefully allows her to do so. Ocellimon is resentful, spiteful and determined to remain unattached to her partner (and anyone else for that matter).
Her one motivation is to digivolve to become stronger. Her partner wants nothing to do with this, and so Ocellimon feels neglected and unwanted by her tamer. Indeed, Iona does treat Ocellimon like an unwanted burden, seems to think Digimon as a concept is "kids stuff". To Ocellimon, Iona seems to prefer to pretend that the two of them never met, and Ocellimon is compelled to treat her in kind.
Her whereabouts during and immediately prior to Iona's incarceration are unknown.DIGIMON'S INITIAL EVOLUTION LINE

Ocellimon
Appearance:
She has the appearance of a large silvery-grey cat with long ears and many whiskers that appear like an antenna, as well as black markings that streak down her body/ Her eyes are a malevolent-looking green. She's between the size of a house cat and a leopard, and her long ears feature a second set of spooky red eyes on the backs of them, which, when opened, have the power to distract and hypnotize both predator and prey. Although she can speak and does so in a graceful and refined manner, she seemingly does so without moving her mouth and her words are best described as those coming from a "well-spoken predator". Despite her refinement, there's something undeniably savage lurking behind this creature's eyes.
Digimon Field Guide Reference:
A catlike digimon thought to have evolved from a program created by hackers to slip past defense systems undetected. It has Data attributes. Its senses are extra sharp and it is able to climb just about anything. The whiskers on its head function like an antenna, surveying its surroundings and sending warning signals through its body at the slightest movement in the surrounding area. It appears and behaves more like an animal than many other digimon, a trait thought to help it avoid the detection of other programs. The "ocelli" on the back of its ears can open up, revealing eyes that emit a hypnotic light. This light causes those who gaze upon it to forget her location. With her special skill "Strangulation", she pounces on enemies from an unseen location and rips at their throats until their data is surrendered.
Rookie:
Ocellimon
Attribute:
Data
Family/ies:
Nature Spirits
Type:
Beast
Abilities:
- Basic Attack
Ocellimon can strike with claws and teeth.
1. Stigma Glare (Cooldown: 2 turns; Duration: End of Next Turn) -
- The eyes on the back of Ocellimon's ears glow an eerie light. The light causes all who see it to forget having seen her, effectively making her invisible.
- Causes her enemies to be unable to track her next movement, putting her in Stealth.
- As long as Ocellimon remains hidden and isn't detected through some other means by her target, her next attack gains Piercing.
- The glow of her second set of eyes must be visible to the target for this move to work.
- Stealth is canceled automatically when Ocellimon uses an ability, if she takes damage, or uses an attack.
2. Creeping Anxiety (Cooldown: 2 turns after duration, Duration: End of Ocellimon's next turn)
- While in Stealth, Ocellimon actively stalks her prey instead of attacking. This ability causes fear to all enemies in a 10-foot radius.
- Ocellimon must be in Stealth in order to use this move.
- Fear is a very personal thing, however, and many react to it differently. The enemy player must decide the effect to their Digimon, and can choose a different effect each time they are affected by this move.
- The enemy player(s) must choose ONE of these effects:
- Distressed: 30% reduction to attack or defense.
- Fearful: The digimon must retreat from Ocellimon out of melee range.
- Snared: The digimon cannot move from their current position under their own power.
- Psyched-Out: One of the digimon's current buffs or auto-dodge effects (passive or actively engaged) is disabled for the duration. The digimon does not need to reactivate the effect, it will return automatically. Can only be chosen if the foe has an activated or passive buff.
- Flustered: The foe is unable to focus their anger and confusion and must use an AOE attack, regardless of the consequences Can only be chosen if the foe has an available AOE attack.
- Distracted: The foe chooses one of its active cooldowns. That cooldown is extended by one (1) turn. Can only be chosen if the target has at least one active cooldown.
3. Strangle (Cooldown: 3 turns after duration, Duration: End of Ocellimons next turn) -
- A very precisely targeted finishing move that is used from stealth, Ocellimon latches on to the target's throat, dealing a significant amount of damage while blocking the use of attacks that require the Digimon's mouth.
- Biting, voice, and breath-based moves are locked.
- If used while seen by the target, or if the target's size or armor prevents the throat-bite, this attack merely does the amount of damage one would expect from a finishing-tier move, with no added effects.
- Unless the move fails somehow, Ocellimon must latch herself to her target so that she is Snared can't make a move action on her next turn.
4. Heightened Senses (Cooldown: 3 turns after the effect ends; Duration: End of Next Turn) -
- Ocellimon focuses her senses, allowing her to detect (through sound, smell, and vibration) even the smallest movement. Even if one sense is hindered by the effects of an attack, the others will make up for it. She can track anything within fifty meters (50m) and will be able to dodge the next attack thrown at her, unless it is Piercing
(Non-combat Passive) At-Will Stigma Glare -
Ocellimon can keep her oceli open on the back of her head, making her effectively invisible to alll until she choses to reveal herself. Detection by means other than sight are still possible. She becomes visible as soon as she enters combat.
(Non-combat Passive) Darkvision -
Ocellimon can see in the dark within her normal vision range, but this does not penetrate the darkness that appears as a result of a digimon's attack.
(Non-combat Passive) Climbing -
Ociellimon can climb just about any surface that isn't completely smooth and will always land on her feet if she falls, taking no fall damage unless her fall was the result of another digimon's combat action.
(Non-combat Passive) Tracking -
Outside of combat, Ocellimon can utilize her sense of smell, hearing, and antenna-like whiskers to pinpoint the exact location of someone or something (assuming it moves, makes a sound, or has a distinct scent). She can detect the smell of something from a distance of several miles, but can only pinpoint the exact location at a range of about fifty meters (50m)
(Non-combat Passive) Compulsive Predator -
- Ocellimon cannot resist pouncing on small animals or digimon that scurry into her line of sight.
- It's the movement of the small creature that triggers the effect.
- Any effect that boosts her mental capacity or concentration will allow her to resist this effect.
Digivolves To:
Chitramon
Appearance:
Ocellimon evolves into another cat-like digimon, this time modeled after a cheetah. Her silver coloration becomes golden, with black lighting-bolt-shaped streaks extending down the corners of her eyes to her mouth, and long lightning-bolt streaks down her back, where her fur rises up like a thick, spiky mane down the length of its spine. Her ears are now smaller, and her second set of eyes has disappeared entirely. A small horn has sprouted on her forehead. Her whiskers grow long and trail the length of her body, which ends in a set of nine whiplike tails. She is about the size of a compact car and shares the long, slender body and deep chest with the animal upon which she is based. Her long silver claws do not retract.
Digimon Field Guide Reference:
The Cat o' Nine-Tails at its rear acts independently of it, by reflex, whenever it engages its speed. Meaning that this Cheetah-like digimon has no control over how viciously it beats itself when running, and as the whips goad it into moving ever faster, it runs the risk of injuring itself. It must take care not to engage its speed too often, or move any faster than it needs to in any given situation, or else it may beat itself into submission. Because of this, no one knows just how fast a Chitramon can run. The fastest recorded speed of the Chitramon clocks in at around 431 km/h (268 mph). That digimon collapsed and nearly dispersed into data, surviving only due to the tender ministrations of a MarineAgemon that was on hand for that purpose. It has been suggested that Chitramon's speed is limited only by how much punishment it can take before dying. Small sparks to massive localized thunderstorms have been observed forming around its body as it gains speed.
Chitramon's ultimate attack "Volt Lunge" takes advantage of its speed to ram the foe with an electrified horn.
Champion:
Chitramon
Attribute:
Data
Family/ies:
Nature Spirits
Type:
Beast
Abilities:
- Basic Attack
Chitramon attacks with claws and teeth.
1. (Combat Passive) Charge -
- Every post spent using a movement or dodge action adds one "Charge" to Chitramon, increasing her damage by 10% per charge.
- Charges number from 0-3.
- All charges are lost when Chitramon stops moving or is halted in some way.
2. (Combat Passive) Supercharge -
Chitramon can choose to charge a fourth time, gaining a "Supercharge" that brings her total damage boost to 50%, but at the cost of damage to herself so long as she maintains the Supercharge.
- The damage to Chitramon equals one of her unboosted attack moves per turn.
- All charges are lost when Chitramon stops moving or is halted in some way.
3. (Combat Passive) Deadly Supercharge -
- A fifth and final charge after the first four unlocks a special effect on all her combat moves but at the cost of even more damage to herself.
- The effect is different for each move.
- The damage to Chitramon is a 50% boosted attack on herself per turn.
- All charges are lost when Chitramon stops moving or is halted in some way.
- Without healing or support, Chitramon will likely collapse and degenerate back to Ocellimon after only a handful of turns--and if she really pushes it, she could die.
4. Volt Lunge (Cooldown: 3 Turns)
- Chitramon's finishing move, dealing heavy damage.
- Chitramon rams the foe at high speed.
- When Deadly Supercharged, this move gains Piercing, circumventing defensive effects.
5. Crashing Thunder (Cooldown: 4 turns)
- Chitramon leaps into the air and crashes down upon the foe like a lightning bolt, dealing massive damage.
- Will deal AOE thunder damage in a range of 25m if she has any charges.
- When Deadly Supercharged, the AOE increases to 50m.
- This counts as Chitramon halting her movement, and so will lose all her charges when the attack completes.
6. Greased Lightning (Cooldown: 3 turns after next turn, Duration: Until next turn)
- Chitramon will dodge all attacks (except piercing) that come her way until her next turn unless she is prevented from moving.
- When Deadly Supercharged, rippling shockwaves reverberate around her attackers, stunning them. Her attackers are Disabled and cannot make an attack action on their next turn.
Ram Upgrade Plus Skill - (Combat Passive): Natural-Born Killer
- No matter the flavor, this digimon's basic attacks all have the same strength as a 0cd move.
(Non-combat Passive): Speed Champion
- Though it means little in close quarters battle, Chitramon's out-of-combat speed is second to none at Champion level. It is thought she can reach a speed of 431km/h, though she won't be able to maintain that speed and will degenerate shortly after.
