School was over. Now, Taiga had the weekend to hopefully enjoy herself. Although, for once, she was not going to be at her second home, the Arcade. To which, she had offered the excuse that she was going on a short vacation, which was technically true.
This weekend – Taiga was going to the Digital World – the still mysterious world where Aoba came from. Although, every time she questioned him about it. The little dinosaur merely tilted his head and looked on slightly lost in thought. Although, he had posited the knowledge there was a train that took you directly into the capital. Which was a start at the very least.
So, Taiga left early. Saturday morning for the Train Station on the far side of Shibuya. Aoba in her arms, trying his very hardest to act like a stuffed doll.
She was afforded an odd look by a security guard as she passed. Probably because of her peculiar attire. Her panda hoodie, over her casual weekend attire. Otherwise, no-one bothered them as the entered the crowded station.
“So, uh… this train?” Taiga whispered, stepping away from a crowd of young teenagers around her own age who were looking at her. Unsure if they knew her from school, of which she paid little attention or from the arcade where she was known as the ‘arcade queen’ for her skills on the games.
“Aoba think… that way… maybe?” The little dinosaur said, pointing with a stubby paw. As Taiga walked towards the ticket booth which was the direction that Aoba has pointed. Sniffing the air, Aoba spoke again. “No...no, wait. Aoba think it that way. Down the stairs. I smells more Digimon.”
Placing a hand over the dinosaurs mouth before he could say anymore and alert a busy family who was wandering past, loaded with luggage on carts. Taiga moved away, moving down a staircase that she had not noticed before. Unbeknownst to Taiga who was trying her best to be stealthy, her Digivice on her belt flashed twice.
Down the very long flight of stairs was a long corridor that snaked around a series of bends and finally led to a very strange platform. “This was definitely the place,” Taiga said, taking a look around. Although, there were no Digimon on the platform. The train itself, was the biggest giveaway. It had long yellow metallic horns and a single eye where the front window should be.
“Woah,” Aoba said. “Woah, indeed,” Taiga added, taking a nervous step forward. “Uh, hi? Can we get on board, please? You do go to the Digital World, right?”
The very odd train looked down upon the pair with curiosity. “First time?”
Taiga nodded, nervously. Quickly taking a step back as a burst of steam shot from underneath the engine. “I am Trailmon. I go directly into the Digital World Capital. No further stops. Please climb aboard.”
With another burst of steam, the train doors opened wide, admitting Taiga and Aoba onto the carriage. The inside of the train, surprisingly, looked pretty normal. Similar to any other train that she had been on.
She took a seat half way down the carriage and waited for departure. Aoba jumped across her knee to press his face against the glass. "Here we go, I guess."

Human cities were no doubt interesting locations, even though one could owe that mostly to the fact they were a novelty to the digimons visiting them. It was no doubt weird, how a city could be so alike, yet so different depending on the world that hosted it. That said, however, there was one key fact that differentiated the Human World from the Digital World, at least when it came to a certain digimon’s point of view.
“This place couldn’t be more boring even if it tried.” En-En voiced aloud. “I’m glad we’re leaving. I’d say that I’d rather be anywhere else, but Tenebrous exists so I’ll refrain.”
Currently, the young Weathermon was sitting atop Nami’s shoulders while Mana walked beside them. Obviously, the three digimons were currently donning their disguises, even if their conversation didn’t make much to keep appearances. “I don’t disagree with little En-En. This world is no doubt shoddy and unworthy of the Storm Princesses!” It was probably easy enough to infer that the oldest being in the group had no doubt been riled at the words, even though they certainly held a lot more bark than bite at the moment.
Nobody was too keen on pushing Mana into action, though. That certainly wouldn’t go well for anyone involved. “Dear aunt is right. I’m glad we’re returning. Do you have any plans once we get there, Mother? Another sister, perhaps? Or maybe even a brother!” The gleam of excitement in the child’s eyes made perfect contrast with Nami’s own blank expression. She seemed to genuinely ponder her creation’s concerns for some seconds before finally speaking.
“Undecision.” She said, simply. “We’ve fulfilled all our plans in the short term. I’ll need to consider what to do next once we get to our destination.” A succinct, yet serviceable answer. Both of Nami’s companions nodded at it, with Mana herself shortly adding at it. “I wouldn’t mind pulling a Luminas again if that’s what you need. The whole experience was fun! And we kinda got little En-En out of the whole deal.”
The Weathermon’s excitement was fairly easy to behold at the prospect of something like that happening again; partly because she’d definitely partake into something like that, and partly because she knew that’s how more siblings were likely to happen.
She knew not to get her hopes up when Nami decided to not address the comment, though. “Goal. We’re on the platform.”
That had taken a bit of time, but the trio was finally on their way to get to the Digital World through one of the Trailmons found there. How they managed to be there without alerting anyone in the upper levels was a bit of a strange thing, but neither was in the mood to question any of that right now. As if it were the most natural thing in the world, the three hopped inside a horned one and sat in the first empty space they found.
“Do you know where we are even going, anyway?” The youngest one asked, somehow deciding that Nami’s shoulders were comfier than the train’s actual seating; not like she seemed to mind. She brought out an unresponsive yo-yo and began to warm up with some basic binds that progressively got more complex. “How the city looks, I mean. I know it’s called Terminal or something.”
“I think it's Terminus or something.” Mana was hasty to reply. “And no idea! It’s supposed to be the biggest city in the Digital World or something like that, so probably it’ll be fancy. Hopefully its inhabitants will be less stuck up than Luminas’ though.”
As the train departed, the two chattered while Nami herself seemed deep in thought.
