"We sure this is a good idea?" Tera said feeling a bit uneasy about spending time in the Digital World in her holosuit standing at a table with the Missies serving out complementary drinks and cookies, with Solarmon overseeing the duo. Kai was at a nearby table sitting next to a Tanamon on the table wearing glasses, both with laptops in front of them. At the moment Kai was dressed in a light sports top and shorts and shoes, dressed ready to go, as well as stacks of forms, both signed and otherwise.
"We're starting three divisions of a sports league here Tera. The Digimon and Unity leagues don't really need much in the line of persuasion, but the Holo league, that is what we need to advertise." Kai said as she was once again trying to explain to Tera the importance of why she has to be in Holosuit to do this job, and without also bringing her natural form lacks the appendages needed to hand out juice boxes and cookies. In truth she wanted Tera to help appease those like Solarmon who are more hesitant about the Holosuit see that it is safe and could be fun to use. The Holo league Kai was trying to form, is actually a league of humans and digimon like the mix league, but all Digimon participating wear Holosuits as an equalizing factor.
"It's a good sight for Digimon to see someone comfortable enough in their holosuit form." Kai said as she would continue to hand out brief forms for registration, having one for humans and one for Digimon. She and the Tanamon would be taking the signed forms back and filling out the information, while silently passing electronic notes to eachother as they would be forming teams randomly for the moment, taking some considerations such as several people who sign up together or if a whole team already assembled themselves.
"I thought you said I'd get to be a ball retriever, an announcer, or something, not this lame publicity stunt." She said referring to the fact that her name and true form was on a placard in front of her. "Why couldn't she be in a Holosuit?" She said referring to the Tanamon who interjected. "Cause I can type without one and seeing someone type away isn't exactly personable, besides I work for the city. You on the other hand, a working class Digimon with a spunk for adventure, that's bound to resonate with more then me." She said not even batting an eye towards Tera as she and Kai were filling out more registrations.
"Also Tera, organizing things take time. We're a few days out from having any games at all. But fact is today we got ninety four players today, thirty nine of the Digimon league, twenty five for the mixed league, but thirty four the Holo League. If we keep advertising up for the next day or so, we'll have more then enough." Kai said with slight pride as she would look at the numbers. "Past two days, Holo League had a collective total of 13. Sorry hun but Kai's PR stunt seems to be drawing people in." The Tanamon said as Tera grumbled as she would continue to serve juice and cookies, trying to be as sweet as possible as an act till it was no longer an act as she continued to serve out juice boxes while the Missies handed out cookies.
This lasted for hours until the night when the group would pack up and head out to the hotel. Solarmon, the Missies, and Tera put away the leftover cookies back in the trailer locked it in place while Kai packed up both laptops and folded up the tablecloth, putting away the forms in the signed boxes of forms while leaving the blank ones in the trailer. "So do I still gotta wear my holosuit?" Tera whispered complaining and Kai shrugged. "Might help if people can see you act normal in or out of it." She said as the group was heading to the hotel to return to the suite. "Why are you still, well, a Tanamon. You've been one all day, actually the whole time if you don't mind me asking." She asked the Tanamon. "Doing my own PR proving Terminus is accessible for all forms." She said confusing tera before she would shrug and not even try to process the information at this point.
Once back in the suite, Kai and the Tanamon handed off their dinner requests to Tera and Solarmon, as they would take the Missies with her so Kai and Tanamon could work as Kai linked her laptop to a interactive board as the two would go over the teams randomly. Kai and Tanamon would sort out the teams of pure Digimon by first sorting through those that wished to be on the same team, before mixing everyone else through a randomized algorithm. Afterwards, Kai and Tanaman looked over the mixed league as they would try to even out the teams. "Alright, normally a baseball team would be about, nine players minimum, we upped it to twelve mostly for the extra players, but, truth be told having an even number makes this part the simpler. For both leagues, we put six humans, and six Digimon onto a team." She said as she was starting to sort out the first team while Tanamon sat on a table. "Ideally having both a Digimon and a Human as couch and if possible an assistant couch if teams need them is ideal, but we can't expect ideal circumstances. As it is we may have a few coaches double dipping to start." She said as Kai nodded in agreement at the prospect. While things where looking good, it was a good practice to hold back expectations.
For the most part Kai and Tanamon began to start making arrangements for the teams, trying to sort out based on locations and evening things out. Kai and Tanamon would spend the night creating several teams, each based out in several cities as they had various diamonds set up either in or close to the cities of each. "So we got seven teams in Terminus, four in Whitewater, one in Snowpeak oddly enough, three in Rusport, and Five from Rosewood holy hell. But..." She said as she would eye a particular set as she looked at the two sets at the side. "Deeplane teams?" She said as she would shrug. "Look, I know what you are thinking, Dark Area, but trust me. I can vouch that every citizen there will play fair, otherwise, I know someone who wouldn't take kindly to them acting like that with the name on the line." She said even puttin g her world out there, and Tanamon shrugged. "If you say so." She said as she and Kai would get back to work for another hour, before calling it a night, and continuing on for the next two days until in the end they would settle on a roster, and would begin delegating tasks out to coaches and arrange schedules for practice times, and meetings with various parties for sponsorships. Kai would put her skill handling paperwork to excellent use as they would arrange the Digimon/Human Baseball league.
