Alpha and Beta had to admit, they had no idea what Ciel was doing at the moment. Sitting on the couch in front of some large screen she had brought in the two of them were curious as to her intentions with it. "So mom, what are you working on? That things like a super large digivice!" Was it for a giant tamer or something? Beta had no idea! Alpha didn't really have much of an idea either except for it might be a human thing.
"Just putting the finishing touches on this, my word it's quite hard to get one of these to function around here. But if I can create a sword that perfectly mimics a digimon's I can surely make a Television work." Ciel was fumbling around with the back of it and some large box near her feet. It was a well known fact that human tech didn't naturally work in the digital world. However that's not to say it couldn't be retrofitted with some digital world tech to try and make it work! "Aha! I think I got it. Alpha, Beta what does the screen say?" Looking up and over from behind the TV she waited for either twin to say something.
"It's still just a black screen, looks a bit lighter though?" There was also a small whining noise she heard coming from the box.
"Wait there's something at the top left, Video 1? Yeah I think that's what it says." It was a bit blurry to be honest but right as Alpha said that Ciel smacked the top of a television with her hand causing the screen to shake and for the video to come up.
"There we go, sometimes it just needs a good smack. Alright then time to get this up and running." Hooking a few cables into the television Ciel quickly got it to start working, backing off a bit as she sat down in between the two digimon. "Alright, I know you two must be a tad bit confused. This is something from the human world, they play all sorts of things on it using these small plastic containers." Ciel mentioned pulling one up and handing it over to Beta, who accidentally crushed it in her claws.
"Ahh, whoops. Sorry mom. I didn't know it was that weak." Beta seemed a bit down but a quick reassuring pat on the head calmed her down.
"No need to worry, I didn't like that one anyway. Here I have a few I bought a long time ago. We can sit and watch some! A good break from training wouldn't ya say?" Ciel pulled up a small bag of the assorted VHS' sitting them on the ground in front of the twins.
Both of them looked inside, making sure not to accidentally break them again like Beta had. Scanning the words on the boxes and even some of the pictures a few had. Eventually they had amassed quite a few that they wanted to watch. First up was something called Dragon Ball Z? It wasn't something any of them had heard of. The legendary Super Saiyan was what the title card said.
Though neither of them had ever heard of it suffice to say the two of them were absolutely enthralled by it for the moment. It was a bit boring and a little confusing at the start since neither of them had any context for the characters in it but once the action started going it was hard for either of the twins to stop watching. All the energy attacks and battles shown there was spectacular to behold. Eventually ending with the main villain being struck by the Hero Goku and exploding away into nothingness.
"That was awesome! I had no idea humans could do something like that. They were all 'pow pow' and the big guy was just smashing them around like they were nothing! Taking hits and throwing them around it was awesome!" Beta pointed to the main character Goku who was on the title card. "He's my favorite! He just shows up and starts helping out! And the way he just took him out in one punch! He blew up and everything."
Alpha nodded, completely lost in the moment after watching that. "Yeah, it was also cool how they all tried to attack together. Remind me of when we fight Beta covering each other and all that. I especially liked that kid, Gohan I think it was? He was young and still doing everything he could just like us." While he wasn't shining as bright as his father he was still trying which was enough for Alpha.
"I'm glad you both like it, though I feel I must remind you that humans can't actually do stuff like this, this is a show after all. In fact I don't think any of them were human. They kept saying Saiyan or something like that." Obviously the twins were a bit too caught up in the moment to hear that part but still it was there.
The next movie that was up was something completely different, it was this weird show that was all 2D and seemed like it was made of paper, something called South park or something. It seemed pretty childish so Ciel decided to put it on.
Only for the characters to start singing and about to start swearing as well getting "You're such a pig f" as Ciel instantly turned the Tv off with the remote before they could say anything else. "Uhh mom, why did you turn it off. Weren't we going to watch that." Beta was confused and it seems Alpha was too, neither really knew what they were going to say.
Ciel calmly took the movie out and crushed it in her hands. "Oh whoops, just like Beta I forgot how strong I was. Lets just move on to the next movie shall we?" With her having managed to keep her kids from learning a whole lotta swear words their movie knight continued well into the night, till eventually Alpha and Beta passed out on the couch mid movie, tossing a blanket on them Ciel sat back down in her chair and continued watching, recalling old memories of doing this with friends long ago.
