Rico & Cam: The Cowboys Cometh

Post by Rico and Cam on Jun 19, 2022 23:54:14 GMT
Digimon Name - Partner #1: Ricochet the Shotmon
Default Form: Rookie
Gender: Male
Alignment: Chaotic Reckless
Skills/Talents:
Sharpshooter- Rico has pretty good aim with his guns, due to the fact he literally has an aimbot in his head.
Inventory:
Personality:
Ricochet the Shotmon, also known as ‘Rico’ for short, is a rather hot-headed individual. Being the brother that inherited Creed’s emotional half, Rico is an individual who is ruled by his emotions. He has a very short temper and a tendency to charge into a situation half-cocked, physically embodying the ‘shoot first, ask questions never’ mindset. This tends to get him into trouble a lot, requiring his brother to bail him out.
Rico is also an extreme gun-enthusiast and a prideful glory hound, never passing on a chance to show off his shooting skills. He takes insults very personally, and accusing him of cheating at anything is a surefire way to get a few bullets whizzing past your ears.
Despite his short temper, Rico does have a noble heart buried underneath his volatile exterior. He will not hesitate to do what is right, something not even his more rational brother can dissuade him from.
Personal History:
Cam and Rico’s story has a bit of an unusual beginning. It started out in the Western Flatlands, with a Sateramon by the name of Creed. Creed grew up in a Wild West-style village by the name of Sunset Flats and was more-or-less your stereotypical cowboy. Creed had a simple childhood, eventually growing up to become the village’s sheriff with a local Deputymon, Jonah, acting as his deputy. The duo managed to keep their little town safe from all kinds of troublemakers for quite a few years, earning them the respect of their fellow townfolk.
These happy times wouldn’t last forever, though. One day, when Jonah wasn’t around, an AvengeKidmon strode into town, looking to have a showdown with Sheriff Creed. The Sateramon was unsure if he could win this duel, but reluctantly agreed when the AvengeKidmon started threatening the townsfolk. Creed ultimately lost this duel, and the victorious AvengeKidmon decided to gloat on his victory by revealing himself as none other than the evolved form of the deputy, Jonah, himself!
Jonah had slowly grown jealous of the praise and recognition Creed had earned over the years, and had decided to try and take that glory for himself by removing Creed from the equation. With his victory assured, Jonah drove a knife directly into Creeds digicore, forcibly breaking it in two and splitting the Sateramon into a Shotmon and a Cameramon. With the now-brothers helpless to stand against him, Jonah exiled the two brothers from the town under threat of death should they return.
Now the two brothers roam the digital World aimlessly, training to build their strength back up in order to one day return to Sunset Flats and bring their traitorous former deputy to justice.
Digimon Name - Partner #2: Cameron the Cameramon
Default Form: Rookie
Gender: Male
Alignment: Lawful neutral
Skills/Talents:
Inventory:
Personality:
Unlike his brother Rico, Cameron inherited the more rational half of their true self’s mind. As a result, Cam is a cold and calculating individual, relying entirely on cold, hard, facts to make his decisions. Cam doesn’t feel or express emotion very well, which often makes him come off as being rather distant or even cold-hearted. He always does a lot of calculations in his head, weighing the pros and cons of his options, which can result in long stretches of silence from the Cameramon as he processes the data to come to a decision.
Due to this calculating nature, Cameron cannot be swayed by emotional tactics like guilt-tripping or puppy dog eyes. If you want to convince him to do anything, you’d better have a sound, logical argument for it.
Unlike Rico, Cameron is more neutral when it comes to morality. He has no qualms about doing the right thing, but he will prioritize his and his brother’s own well-being over that of others. Even his attempts to get his brother out of the messes the reckless Shotmon gets himself into also have an undercurrent of self-preservation to them. Unlike normal twins, who can usually still survive if one twin is killed, Rico and Cam are literally two halves of a whole and literally can’t survive without each other. Since killing one of the brothers will also kill the other, Cam always does his best to try and keep his head down.

Digimon Name: Beck
Default Form: Ghostmon
Gender: Male
Alignment: Lawful Good
Skills/Talents:
Translation: Beck is quite skilled at deciphering and translating many ancient texts, regardless of how ancient or esoteric the language of the texts may be.
Inventory:
-Grimoire of Zobek: The spellbook Beck uses to cast his magic.
-tarot cards
-Crystal ball
Holosuit:
POKÉMON • Wally (ORAS) • Beck
Personality:
Beck is a rather quiet and introverted individual, preferring to avoid being in the spotlight if possible. This usually leads him to shy away from people he’s not familiar with unless they actively need his help with something. Beck is also an avid fan of literature and ancient texts, making a hobby of perusing through whatever books or scrolls he can get his ghostly hands on.
Beck doesn’t remember very much about who he used to be in his previous life, but what little he can remember paints a very disturbing picture of what his previous incarnation was like, a necromancer who performed many despicable acts. This terrifies Beck to his core, leading him to actively seek out and help others as a misguided way to ‘atone’ for his previous incarnation’s crimes (often to the point of detrimentally affecting his physical and mental health). As a result, Beck often needs someone else to step in and stop the Ghostmon from working himself back into the grave.
Personal History: N/A
Rookie
Species: Ghostmon
Appearance:
Beck also carries around a grimoire that he uses to channel his magic into actual spells.
Attribute: Data
Type: Ghost
Family: Nightmare Soldiers
Fighting Style: Ghostmon relies solely on magic to attack from afar and heal his allies.
Abilities:
-Perception Filter (non-combat passive): Beck can use illusion-based magic to disguise himself as a human in order to travel the Human World. This spell basically acts like a holosuit, since Beck can't fight while in disguise. It is purely vision-based, though, so Digimon can still sense his digital signature.
-Grimoire of Zobek (passive): Beck carries around a grimoire that he uses to channel his magic and cast spells, increasing the power of his magical attacks by 50% while the concentration needed to cast the spells reduces his evasion by 20%. The book's magic is attuned solely to him, and is useless to anyone else (appearing blank to anyone who tries to read it).
-Lesser Restoration: A basic healing spell that treats minor injuries that Beck's ally has sustained. 3 post CD.
-Icicle Shard: Beck holds out his open grimoire toward his foe, which fires numerous piercing shards of ice at them. 2 post CD, partial piercing.
-Will-O'-Wisp: Beck launches a small, green fireball at his enemy.

Digivolves To: DeathMusyamon
Champion
Species: DeathMusyamon
Appearance:
Unlike a normal Musyamon, DeathMusyamon is visibly undead, with decaying flesh and exposed bone underneath his armor.
Attribute: Virus
Family/ies: Nightmare soldiers
Type: Undead Wizard
Fighting Style: DeathMusyamon relies on a balance of dark curses and close-quarters swordsmanship, his cursed sword draining his foe's life energy with each successful hit to increase DeathMusyamon's attack power.
Abilities: [6 Abilities Max]
-Soul-Draining Blade (Passive): With every succesful blow, DeathMusyamon drains a portion of his victim's energy with his cursed sword, granting him up to 1 stack per turn that increases his attack power by 8%, up to a maximum of 40%/5 stacks. If no stacks are added for 2 turns, then DeathMusyamon will start to lose 1 stack per turn.
-Soul-Rending Slash: DeathMusyamon cuts his foe with a powerful diagonal slash that drains his opponent's lifeforce, dealing heavy damage and boosting DeathMusyamon's attack power by 50% for 3 turns (stacks with Soul-Draining Blade). 5 post cooldown.
-Reaper Death Seal: Once per thread, DeathMusyamon can use dark magic to summon an apparition of the Grim Reaper that will slash his opponent with its scythe. Instead of dealing actual damage, the Reaper apparition will instead permanently seal away one of the target's non-OPT abilities for the rest of the thread. Doesn't work on higher-level Digimon, and DeathMusyamon must be aware of the ability he's sealing away.
-Forbidden Art - Reanimation: Once per thread, DeathMusyamon can resurrect himself upon defeat, restoring himself to full health in the process.
-Fatal Flurry: DeathMusyamon unleashes a rapid barrage of high-speed blows, covering the target's body with countless cuts. 5 post CD.
-Drain Touch: DeathMusyamon grabs his opponent with one hand in order to magically siphon off the target's lifeforce to heal DeathMusyamon. 5 post CD (2 for damage, 3 for healing).
