Birth Date: October 26th
Birth Place: Sydney, Australia

Personality:
Xander is known to be the calmer and the quieter one among his siblings - too many a teacher's relief, he is certainly more of a 'think first - act after' kind of young man or at least he tries to be. While his siblings are often a bit more boisterous and dive head first into things, a little impulsively if you ask him - Xander tries to be the voice of reason among the chaos. Although he can - much to his amusement and exasperation - usually be persuaded into tagging along in an attempt to 'have fun'. Along with his siblings, each of them is known to be extremely active and somewhat 'outdoorsy', although Xander often prefers calmer activities, he does not mind doing team things with people he knows well.
He's a thoughtful and creative young man who cares deeply for those around him, even being known to reach out to help people he barely knows. Try as he might to not smother his little sister with being protective, Xander does have a fierce protective streak when it comes to his family and has known to become a little more impulsive when he lets his heart win over his mind. Soon it will just be himself and Ruby at home with their father, with their older brothers beginning their lives outside of their home - he will be the oldest sibling. Try as he might, he's not sure how to handle that realization just yet - he still has the occasional nightmare of the car accident that took their mother from them and has a desperate fear of losing someone else he loves because of it.
Xander has a love for drawing, or sketching as he prefers - he finds the activity calming and can sit still for hours focusing on perfecting something, when he has the 'itch to draw' - very few things can snap him out of his focus before he has completed what has inspired him. His father fondly calls it his 'artist zone'.
Appearance:
His constantly messy hair is the first thing most notice about him, the bright orange-red colour that most of his family members also have is surely something that makes him stand out among the crowd. He is incredibly fair-skinned and is prone to sunburns, much to his annoyance. Xander also has a pair of glasses that he needs to wear, something that he does not particularly like about himself but he knows it is unavoidable, at least for now. He often needs to push them back into place and more than once has been known to misplace them. He usually wears somewhat oversized clothes and loves wearing layers, he is rarely seen without a hooded jacket - and when he is, it's usually because his sister has 'borrowed' it when he wasn't looking.

Personal History:
Alexander, better known to most as 'Xander' was born in the country of Australia, he had two older brothers before him and it was when he himself was a few years old that he himself became a big brother as well. The arrival of his baby sister Ruby was what completed their little family. Although a surprise to those that know Xander now, at first, he really did not like his little sister, even trying to give her away more than once when they were still young! But slowly he grew to enjoy the idea, learning that he could teach Ruby things - as their older brothers did for him.
It was Xander that took it upon himself to teach his little sister to climb a tree, perhaps a little early - she was only four at the time, to Xander's own almost seven years at the time, however - it had seemed to be a great idea and - it was not the worst idea. He managed to teach her how to climb the tree with little trouble and much cheering was involved. But climbing down once again - that was where the trouble occurred - when Ruby became frightened and refused to budge let alone try to get back to the ground. The results were the sight of a young boy and his little sister clinging to him while he tried to get them both to the ground, only to call out for help - which involved a group effort of two older brothers running to the rescue. It remains a fond story told at family gatherings, much to the embarrassment of two of the siblings.
Growing up, they were almost constantly surrounded by extended family, with Grandparents living not far away and holidays always being a grandiose thing with many cousins to make every event more exciting. Although, usually, Xander would usually seek out a quiet spot during family events, preferring to quietly observe - and usually draw things in the process - it was a common 'present' for his relatives to receive a hand-drawn gift from the youngster. When not on his own or with his siblings, Xander would seek out his mother's company - his mother was a calming presence and was the one who began to teach Xander easy little first aid tricks. With siblings as impulsive as he was, it was something that Xander eagerly took to learning, wanting to be able to help if someone was hurt - plus the quiet time with him and his mother, was certainly a bonus.
It was a sudden event when he was twelve years old that shook their family. A car accident of all things was an event that scarred Xander, in more than one way. He had been in the car when it occurred - while he survived with minor injuries - his dear mother was not so lucky. Xander along with his family, grieved the loss - although he struggled a little more - having been involved it was thought that he was mentally shaken in a way from it, resulting in the young - almost teenage boy, going silent. It was nothing physical, but a mental wall - or so it was explained. He would speak again - when he was ready.
It was months before that would happen, in the time between though - the family made a big move. Picking up their lives in Australia and moving to Japan after their father got a job opportunity that would also allow them a fresh start. Xander took the change surprisingly well, although at first, he was still silent - still not speaking, he began to smile more and took to learning everything he could, like a fish to water - the Xander his family knew so well began to reappear once more. It was a random moment when he did speak, a quiet asking to pass something at dinner - the clatter of utensils due to the surprise followed by the familiar laughter from his father. Normalcy was returning bit by bit.
Now sixteen years old, Xander is becoming surer of himself. He knows who he is and has a few goals set for himself in life but is not certain about what he wants to do when he is an adult. He knows he needs to work it out, after all, one of his brothers is already out in the world on his own and the other is to graduate this year! It is both an exciting and terrifying time in his life - but... maybe it will not be a terrible thing...
