Virus Hunter (S-rank) (Akemi, Adrian, Luna)

Post by Akemi & Anzu on Jun 7, 2023 2:43:44 GMT
Well, there was...a lot happening. Someone had managed to reach the same realm of power that Akemi had been commanding and honing for months now. That was pretty neat, and she'd have a much stronger reaction from within Daemon if she weren't focused entirely upon the currently speaking Virus Hunter. Truth be told, all members of this party were getting rather...tired of this charade. Despite the earlier claim of a real opponent? This creature's convictions... They were pathetic. Panimon could only cackle. "Your trash talk's fucking weak for a Royal Knight. How about crawling back to a crypt instead of putting your face up your own ass?" This was capped off with her firing off Stygian Flame, unleashing several blasts of white flames from her hands! Following up and using the distraction to her advantage? Daemon moved in a burst of speed to try and flank the Hunter, her shoulders flaring with unbridled power before she would let Seventh Graviton rip in a blaze to try and catch the Hunter offguard. Dust would be unharmed per the power of Deeplane--No ally could be harmed by Daemon's destructive prowess, no matter what. "If you have...any semblance of a brain...do the world a favor.
Shut the fuck up.
I don't care about your old cause. I care about you killing the people in my team's lands. Innocent people."
Relevant Passives: There are a LOT here. They're spoilered under their respective categories here. Team Passives: Will of the Council [Team Ability - Passive]: All the members of this team and the abilities performed by them can choose to completely ignore the effects of passive defensive abilities that might affect them in any way. Council's Accord [Team Ability #2 - Passive]: Team members can choose whether their abilities affect anyone or anything subjected to them or not. Form Passives: Dark Virus [RAM Upgrade Giga]: An echo of an active ability far along the evolutionary line for Anzu. Dark Virus enables her to freely manipulate the feelings of any Digimon, at a few costs and stipulations. One, she will encounter difficulties utilizing this on Digimon higher than her current level, as they will be able to resist this easily, while digimon of an equivalent level have a slightly more difficult time resisting this. It goes to say that the higher Anzu's level of evolution, the more easily she can make use of Dark Virus. Two, she can only drive her target to one of two emotional extremes at a time, namely extreme anger, or peace. And three, she can only make use of Dark Virus once every three rounds. She -could- use it on herself, but that's...a very bad idea. All around. Four, she can only use this on one target at a time, and the target has to be at least within three yards of her. And five, the emotions instilled upon this only last for three rounds.
Discretion [Passive]: None of Daemon’s moves can cause friendly fire.
Devilmon [Passive]: Daemon is completely immune to fire in this form, and retains her weakness to the light, attacks of such a nature being three times as effective/painful against her.
Wrath [Passive]: Daemon is capable of bolstering various attacks of hers to be able to deal double the amount of damage they’re capable of doing already once every three turns.
Seethe [RAM Upgrade - Passive]: Every turn, Daemon's sheer hate for almost everything around her prompts her to regenerate 5% of her overall health. HERE COMES A NEW CHALLENGER (FOR A FEW TURNS) Dark Virus [RAM Upgrade Giga]: An echo of an active ability far along the evolutionary line for Anzu.
A Discrete Eye: Despite her overwhelming anger in combat, Panimon has enough restraint to will her magic to not target her allies. Friendly fire is an impossibility.
Infernal Constitution: While light-based attacks are particularly effective on this monster spewed from the depths of the Dark Area, darkness? Well, it eats darkness. It’s completely immune to that.
Brand of Sacrifice [RAM Upgrade - Passive]: An improved version of an ability loaded from a most unfortunate avian. At the beginning of combat, Panimon is able to brand an opponent for three turns. While she gains increased amounts of speed while moving towards her, as well as the ability to have her attacks inflict additional light damage atop whatever else they do, she’s only capable of focusing -on- that opponent for the duration of this move. Three turn cooldown. And yes, this is a Berserk reference.
Stygian Flame: Panimon fires forth several swathes of flame from her hands. These flames can fly at a foe in numerous ways. From above as a rain, below as jets of fire, the sides...The flames themselves are white-hot, too. One turn cooldown. Seventh Graviton [RAM Upgrade]: Daemon fires a trio of supergravity lasers from her abdomen and the cannons upon her shoulders. The lasers fired by this are hot enough to be capable of reducing the unprepared to ash, so one should be on their guard against them. Two turn cooldown. Durations: Digital Hazard - 2/3 Echoes - 3/3- ends after this turn Inferno Burst - 1/3 Cooldowns: Seventh Graviton - 0/2 Stygian Flame - 0/1 Douse the Guilty - 1/2

Dust aimed his attack true, despite Omegamon not moving he didn't relent. Dust knew what they were going to do, he wasn't stupid with his sword sheathed like that. No Dust knew exactly what was going to happen. The problem though? Dust didn't care. Dust took the sword straight into the gut as he let his fist rage against the Super Mega digimon's body, a blast of darkness clouding the stab wound for a moment before showing that Dust was indeed stabbed clean through. As the electrical current was run through the Beelzemon's body he lifted his body up in pain, shouting at the top of his lungs for a moment. However as Omegamon tried to lift Dust up in order to block Saya's attack, Dust did something surpring. Standing firm Dust held the blade in his hand, through the electricity and through the pain he held his ground, forcing the blade down refusing to rise up. Using all his strength to keep the blade from moving. " Yeah no, you're going effing nowhere buddy." He wouldn't be able to do it for long but he would be able to do it long enough to make sure Saya's attack landed its mark, despite the pain that was currently going through him at the moment, despite the damage Dust was enduring, if Omegamon was to look on his face, he would see a smile. " Gonna need more then that, you sonovabitch." As Adrian crashed into Omegamon, it freed Dust from the blade, leaving his gut and sending the Beelzemon on his knees in pain, sparks still seemed to linger on his form and burn marks were pretty clearly visible. Saya and Luna rushed over to make sure he was ok, Luna grabbing him by the shoulder and Saya helping him up. " Dust, oh my goodness. Why? Why didn't you dodge?" Dust let out a hollow laugh, ignoring the pain in his get as it slowly mended itself a decent amount, his passive healing him enough so that he wouldn't leak out. " Ha, you know me Luna. Pain isn't anything to me." Dust looked over at his allies knocking Omegamon back. " Give me a second to catch my breath, you and Saya go help them out." Dust said patting Saya on the head and giving Luna a small hug. " Right, C'mon Saya. Lets go!" Luna shouted, the sight of Dust in pain quickly fueling her power, glowing with a slight white aura as she rushed off towards Omegamon, dragging her weapon behind her for a moment before throwing it forward. " Ice Stinger!" As she shouted that, a large wave of ice would appear from the ground attempting to rend Omegamon in half. As she did this Saya flew above her mother for a moment, holding her hands in front of her before aiming them forward. " Stardust Burst!" As she shouted this orbs of light and darkness would explode outward, flying around her mothers Ice wave aiming to catch Omegamon from all directions if he tried to dodge.
Luna C.A: Luna checks to make sure her husbando is ok before rushing the Ahole who stabbed him.
Move Used: [Ice Stinger]: Luna dashes forward dragging her weapon on the ground before throwing it upward towards the opponent, a large wave of ice will follow soon after striking the enemy right after Luna sending them flying backwards. 3 post cool down.
Notable Passsives: [For my friends]: After Luna uses a barrier move on an ally that allies attack power is increased by 30% for 3 posts after being targeted by her ability. Will refresh back to 3 if a barrier is used while the passive is still active. Doesn't work on Luna. (Applied to everyone who stood within final gate)

With this power comes an increase to her attack power by 50% however her data signal is impossible to hide, easily noticeable by anyone. As such any projectile moves will gain a semi-homing trait if aimed at her making them much harder to dodge. Projectiles that already have a homing like effect will always hit Saya if aimed at her.
Move Used: [Stardust Burst]: Creates a massive storm of light and dark orbs before firing them all, pelting everyone within a 20 meter radius around her orbs of light and dark that explode on contact. 3 post cool down.

Slayerdramon's attack had struck true, tearing right through Omegamon Zwart's shoulder and freeing Dust in the process, who had been stabbed by the dark Royal Knight's sword moments prior. Slayerdramon stood defiantly towards Zwart as the dark knight had gotten back up, saying it was a shame that Adrian and Shoutmon didn't just stand there and let him destroy the Demon Lords.
"Do you ever shut up?" Slayerdramon growled at the Hunter, clearly getting fed up with this idiot's bullcrap. While Panimon was firing an attack at Zwart, the biomerged Digimon pulled Daemon aside before they went through with their own attack. "I have an idea on how to end this quickly, but I need some time. Keep the moron hunter distracted in the meantime, if you can? And try to get as far away from him as possible afterwards."
After that, Daemon would move off to try and flank the Hunter while Slayerdramon stood there, flying upwards and cupping his hands together. A small amount of orange energy could be seen forming in the space between his hands, although this is going to take some time to get it right... Slayerdramon charges "Combustion"
Combustion: Slayerdramon charges this move for one post, before he releases the energy built up inside on the next post in the form of an energy sphere, with the force of a powerful bomb, right at the target. This move can only be used once per thread.

“So be it, then.” That was all Omegamon had to say after his two SM-level foes called him out for talking too much. Even now, the fallen knight’s near-constant preaching had been an attempt to try and convince his enemies to just stay out of his way (albeit the fact that his social skills were severely blunted from a lack of personal interaction for centuries, made worse by mental degradation caused by battle damage and data corruption). But now? There would be no more words, only action.
As his foe’s attacks bombarded him in quick succession, Omegamon Alter-B would be obscured by a massive dust cloud kicked up by the attacks. For a moment, there would be utter silence (interrupted only by Omegamon’s tattered cape fluttering out in the breeze) as the dust slowly cleared, revealing the fate of Omegamon. His armor was cracked and coated in frost, but the black knight wasn’t giving up yet. Omegamon didn’t say a single word as he looked Daemon in the eye, his gaze making it clear that he wasn’t impressed by the Demon Lord’s attack.
Meanwhile, Omegamon’s cape would continue floating on the breeze until it harmlessly passed by Luna, Saya, and Dust’s location. Once it passed behind the trio, the cape would crumple around itself before suddenly unfurling to reveal the form of an Omegamon Zwart D that would quickly beeline towards Fragment Village at top speed.
Omegamon Alter-B had decided to take a page out of Daemon’s own playbook, splitting off part of his data through his cape in order to form a copy of his Omegamon Zwart D form. The copy was imperfect, weaker than the original, but it would last longer than Panimon would AND still have sufficient strength to wreak havoc on the town while the original kept his foes occupied. Omegamon Zwart D/Alter-B passives:
-Restoration Protocol (passive): Omegamon Alter-B's body contains a data-restoration program that can slowly repair his body over time, passively restoring ~5% of his HP per turn. Due to partial data corruption over the years, this ability is no longer able to work with Omegamon's Zwart/Zwart D form, hence why that form became so damaged/degraded. -Dark Knight (passive): Omegamon Alter-B's basic attacks deal as much damage as 0-CD named attacks.
Active cooldowns:
-Divide & Conquer: Once per thread, Omegamon Alter-B can split off a portion of his own data to create a Mega-level Omegamon Zwart D to aid him in combat. The Omeagmon Zwart D copy is flawed due to incomplete data, however, being completely mute and unable to use named abilities. -Lightning Blade: 1/5
-Brave Shield: (3/3) Cooldown complete! -Supreme Cannon 4/5 -All Delete: No longer useable. -A Burning Spirit, Reignited: no longer useable.

Now, this was hilarious to Daemon in a couple of ways, namely that he wasn't immune to hypocrisy. Which was probably typical of the Royal Knights in a way. They preach, they preach, and they preach some more, yet they can't follow their own dogma to save their own hides. Then again the same could be said of the seven lords. The demon lord also didn't really care for the approval of the knight. It's own feelings were quite...irrelevant to her. As the copy of the previous form sped off towards Fragment Village, Daemon canted her head towards Luna, Saya, and Dust. "If you could deal with that, I'd be grateful. Please do your best, thank you." That was the last words that the lord uttered before attacking, as she threw her hands outwards--firing forth blast after blast of energy as Panimon seemed to dissipate into that very same energy. It seemed as if there was no rhyme or direction in the way these were being fired, but the keen eyed (or those who consumed enough media) would quickly be able to tell that Daemon was not aiming anywhere NEAR Omegamon. It was more accurate to say she was aiming allover the place, for there were spheres of violet flames hovering all throughout the land akin to a cage, surrounding Daemon, Slayerdramon, Omegamon, and everyone else. This would be a problem, ordinarily. But... The power of Deeplane City was simple. It allowed for no resistance, and it allowed for no errors. It loomed. Ominously. But it seemed as if the moment Slayerdramon's attack was ready, it would all come down.

These blasts will remain hanging ominously at the border of the cage for a turn, before they begin to home in, swiftly upon the target for another turn, before they finally all burst at the end of the third turn. All the while, Daemon is free to continue assaulting the opponent while the blasts do their work. Once per thread. Durations: Digital Hazard - 3/3 - ends after this turns! Inferno Burst - 2/3 Coffin of the End - 1/3 - they are hanging out Cooldowns: Seventh Graviton - 1/2 Stygian Flame - 1/1 Douse the Guilty - 2/2 Coffin of the End - Lmao

It seemed that their attacks managed to make their marks, Luna held her weapon angled downward as she stared at the darkened knight for a few moment. There was some part of her that still wanted to at least try and make amends, try and help but with his final words and nothing more but simple commands to step aside and let him do as he pleased... All those feelings slowly left Luna's mind as her eyes narrowed, they had to finish this here and now. Though as the cape flowed passed the three of them relatively harmlessly, all three were put on their guards immediately even before it shaped and warped into another Omegamon. As they got asked to take care of that by Daemon, Saya was already on it. " I got this, Mom, Dad. Win!" Saya called out as she instantly started flying after the cloned digimon, Luna reached out to try and stop her but was quickly stopped by Dust who placed his hand over hers, lowering it and shaking his head. " She'll be fine, We need you here in case anyone gets hurt Luna." That was right, Luna was the only one here with a revive skill that they knew about, she couldn't run off since, if someone ended up taking too bad of a hit, she was the only one here could save them from dying. Luna looked a bit uncertain, but nodded in agreement after a moment, turning back to the stronger foe ahead. Saya was pursuing the clone as fast she her wings would take her, slowly as she started to get further away from the royal knight, her aura started to show up, an overwhelming feeling of power that would feel light a weight being placed on any mega level digimon around her and, if the clone could feel it, a feeling of fear alongside it as well. " Beholding Light!" Saya called out as fifteen arrows of light were created around her, after a moment she would fire them all towards the copy, spread outward and aimed to pin him against the dark floor of the area to keep him from moving to the village. Luna and Dust meanwhile focused their attentions back on the fallen Knight, before noticing the massive amount of energy blasts that were being fired around them, covering the area around the entire group in a wall of energy, hovering in the air. At first it was a bit nerve wracking to imagine getting hit but, the two of them had faith enough to believe they wouldn't get hurt, it was too late in the fight to risk damaging your own allies after all. There had to be a trick to it or something. So they had to do something as well, while their allies charged attacks Luna quickly looked over to make sure Dust was feeling alright, while he still had that massive stab wound he seemed to be putting it out of his mind for now. While their allies were preparing for their attacks it'd be up to Luna and Dust to stop Omegamon from attacking either of them it seems. " Alright, on my move Dust!" Luna shouted as she threw her weapon at Omegamon, aiming right for his head, it wouldn't do too much damage but it sure would be distracting. Dust meanwhile started blasting away with his guns, aiming to keep Omegamon locked on that spot with an overwhelming amount of firepower

While Slayerdramon was charging their own powerful attack, they saw that Daemon was preparing something of their own. Multiple energy blasts had shot out of their hands, but they didn't target Omegamon at all. In fact, they all seemed to hang around the battle arena in a very ominous fashion. What was going on? Adrian and Shoutmon seemed to be debating this out in Slayerdramon's head.
These balls of energy... are they waiting for something? What is Daemon planning?
I think they're waiting for us to finish. Maybe they're all going to fire at Omegamon the moment we fire our own attack!
Ooooh, I so hope that's the case, that would be sick!
Omegamon Zwart had managed to do things like creating an imperfect copy of himself while Slayerdramon and Daemon prepared their attacks, which seemed to be taken care of by Saya as she fired arrows of light at the clone to try and keep it pinned down. With Luna and Dust making sure the real Zwart didn't step out of the way of the combined attack, it was all up to Slayerdramon to fire at just the right moment.
Come oooon...
Just a bit moooore...
THERE!
Slayerdramon's attack was finally finished charging up. A large orange sphere made of pure fire energy was floating in the Super Mega's hands, and they were now ready to fire it upon the Virus Hunter, alongside Daemon's own attack, to end the tyrant once and for all.
"COMBUSTION!"
For a large fire sphere, it shot out towards the Virus Hunter at the speed of an arrow being shot from the bow. Daemon's energy spheres would also all take this moment to fire right at the Hunter alongside the Combustion sphere. Since he would be too distracted by Luna and Dust, the only things the Virus Hunter would see before collision was the equivalent of the sun and a meteor shower all about to crash into him at the same time.

As Saya rained her holy arrows down upon the Omegamon Zwart D zooming towards the village, the clone quickly spun around to focus on Saya, dodging and weaving through her attack while returning fire with its cannon. She wanted to keep it from the village? Well, she succeeded, and now it was focused solely on her.
As for the primary Virus Hunter himself, the Omegamon Alter-S swiftly leaned to the left to dodge Luna’s thrown weapon, while covering his face with his CresGarururmon arm to keep Dust’s shotgun blasts from hitting his eyes. The shotguns stung, but Omegamon had been hit by worse in just this fight alone.
However, the black knight didn’t fail to notice both the miniature sun Slayerdramon fired at him AND the cage of energy blasts Daemon built, a look of actual panic crossed Omegamon’s face at the sight of the incoming combo. In desperation, Omegamon’s left arm glowed orange as it shifted from it’s BlitzGreymon configuration into a regular Omegamon Zwart’s Transcendent Sword, which he wielded in combination with his right arms’s Supreme Sword to try and push back Slayerdramon’s attack in time to escape the cage of energy blasts closing in on the corrupted knight.
Sadly, not even the combined power of both blades could withstand the power of the miniature sun, the sheer power of the attack utterly destroying his arms to the point that only stumps remained. Now defenseless, Omegamon could only close his eyes in resignation and accept his defeat as Daemon’s energy blasts closed in and set every inch of his body alight with pure agony.
As the smoke faded from the explosions, it was clear that Omegamon was in no state to continue fighting. His armor absolutely shattered and ruined, along with his arms being nothing but stumps, the knight had fallen to his knees, barely clinging to life.
"I... y-y13ld. D0 @5-a5 y0u w15h." Omegamon garbled out, his voice glitching severely from the damage he'd sustained. As much as he hated to admit it, the former Royal Knight knew he had lost. He had lost his edge over the years, and now he paid the price for it. With his goal now out of his reach, the former Royal Knight was utterly broken, in both body and spirit, even as his lesser clone continued fighting mindlessly.

The moment in which the sword of Damocles dropped was nothing short of a cataclysmic flare of the sun. A moment in which the fledgling Lord, Knight, and dragonslayer alike tore the blighted lands around them asunder. Daemon descended towards the ground, stepping forth as a blade (that only dealt basic attack damage, let's be real) appeared in her hand.
The next lines were the doing of the human within the Super Mega. Not the Digimon. Even throughout the fight, she had noted a lot about the Hunter through his movements, his words, even his very appearance.
This Digimon was pushed beyond his limits in life and kept existing as a result. A slave to his own mission.
"To be a slave to your mission in life, no matter it's nature, is no way to exist, Omegamon. Though I am your enemy, and though I will possibly continue to be your enemy, I would not wish that upon you. Thus, I ask this of you not as a Digimon, but as a living creature to another. Return to the Village of Beginnings. Become something better than you were before. For the true Demon Lords slumber forevermore, and the Dark Area heals ever so slowly. ...Goodbye."
The author didn't need to put what happened next. Do I still need a battle log? Probably. Daemon finishes it with a basic attack. And a farewell to the only enemy to ever have fought this form.
The clone's probably fiiiine.

Dust and Luna both stopped dead in their tracks as all of the hits managed to land on their foe, letting her weapon lower Luna let her stance slowly fade back to a standing position as she watched her ally approach them, mentioning that they should return to the village of beginnings' Luna paused for a moment, reaching her hand out towards her foe for a split second before clenching her fist and pulling it back, turning her gaze away from them. "That's, for the best. May the tides of reincarnation strip you of this senseless hate." There was part of her that wanted to try and save them, part of her that wanted to use her powers to try and make them come back to their senses but, the risk wasn't worth it.
Dust too lowered his gun, reaching above the back of his head scratching it for a moment before responding. "Dying did me a whole lotta good if I'm honest, pretty sure no one here will absorb ya so, hope things turn out as well for you as they did me." Dust didn't have any more to say on that matter, with a small wave he turned his back to his ally cutting them down, they might see them cruel now but, maybe in the years to come they'll thank the digimon here for what they did.
Saya meanwhile looked back and saw that the fight was wrapping up, which meant that most likely this shadow would fade also as they approached her. Saya simple turned her back to them and started flying back to the main group, if they pursued well, she was pretty sure everyone there could most likely take em down.

Words could not accurately describe the sheer destruction caused by all the combined attacks towards the Virus Hunter. The Omegamon Zwart D tried his best to push back the attacks, but considering Slayerdramon's "Combustion" attack was like a miniature sun, that strategy did not work. As the smoke faded, the Virus Hunter was left clinging to whatever life he had left. It was clear that his body would disintegrate soon, and he appeared to accept his fate.
The Virus Hunter invited the group to do as they wished to him. Daemon would be the one to act, dealing one final attack to Omegamon Zwart D with a blade they had summoned. Daemon decided to leave the defeated Royal Knight to resurrect in the Village of Beginnings, with Luna, Dust, and Saya agreeing and taking off after some parting words with the dying knight.
Slayerdramon, however, walked over to the defeated hunter and knelt down closer to him.
"I am sorry your life turned out like this," Slayerdramon said, his voice sounding like both Adrian's and Shoutmon's combined. "It's not so bad, you know... dying like this. The Digimon half of myself has experienced this before. You'll wake up in the Village of Beginnings, completely refreshed with no memories of this life. It will be a chance for you to do things over again, and you can be the hero you want to be. I believe in you... Omegamon."
Slayerdramon would remain with the Omegamon Zwart D, all the way until the last of his data scattered into the wind. After all of this, the dragon slayer felt... well, he wasn't sure how to feel. Neither did the life forms that made him. He just hoped that the Virus Hunter would reform back into a better Digimon once his egg in the Village of Beginnings hatched.
Eventually, Slayerdramon would fly up and attempt to rejoin his comrades, even though they most likely had flown off out of sight by this point.

Omegamon listened silently as everyone gave their final speeches, but it was Daemon's words that had the greatest effect on the fallen knight. The mention of the true DemonLords no longer being a threat caused something to finally click in the dying warrior's mind, and his entire body shuddered before going slack as he finally realized that his mission was well and truly finished. Realizing that he could finally rest, Omegamon looked at Daemon with tear-filled eyes and bowed his head as their blade ended his life. "Th4nk... y0u..."
The instant that Omegamon Alter-S died, his flawed clone immediately started to visibly glitch as it froze where it stood, It's mental faculties completely stalled out and unable to function now that its creator was gone. The clone was now little more than a living, glitching statue, forever frozen in time like a living monument of what had happened there that day.
One day, in the not-too-distant future, the Village of Beginning to gain a rambunctious BlackAgumon and Blackgabumon, but that would be a story for another time. For now, though? There was nothing left to stop the brave heroes from returning to Fragment village to deliver the news of their victory and receive their payments. [EXIT]
