It was getting dark, and the night sky would soon be upon the Village. Already Yashiro could see the brightest stars begin to peek out through the fading lights. But Yashiro the Koromon wasn't a Digimon to give up on hide and seek that easily. The Koromon hopped into the field of flowers, finally finding the last of his prey.
"I've finally found you... Himiko!" He declared, bumping into the suspicious blue flower amidst a garden of daisies. The hiding Yokomon let out a squeal and a giggle as the Koromon tumbled along with her.
"That's not fair!" Himiko complained after their little tussle was over. "You always find me so easily!"
"Well... It's your fault for picking the same spot to hide all the time!" Yashiro countered.
"Hello~, there aren't a lot of places for me to hide!" The Yokomon countered with a puff, waving her flowery body back and forth.
"Well... maybe you're right, but... we should get back! It's almost bedtime!" Yashiro responded, the two baby Digimon hopping and crawling their way back to the others. But they were stopped by a familiar sight. A Gurimon staring up into the darkness slowly overtaking the sky, and the effervescent stars forming within.
"Ew, gross..." Himiko groaned as she and Yashiro were passing by the entranced Gurimon. "He's always so creepy when it gets this dark..."
"You shouldn't say stuff like that!" Yashiro warned, yet if the Gurimon did hear her, there wasn't any indication of such. The little Gurimon's bright yellow eyes were twinkling, as if imitating the stars in which he looked up towards.
Yashiro and Himiko stood as still as the Gurimon for a moment before Himiko broke the silence. "But he's so loud and annoying during the day, but once it gets dark he goes all quiet, stays up really late just staring up at the sky! It's so creepy!"
"And he's also right there, in front of us!" Yashiro reminded the Yokomon, shaking his little body/head. He raised his voice towards the entranced Gurimon. "Hey... Guri! It's getting late now, so how about you, me, and Himi all head back?"
"Ew, Yashi! Don't ask him that! You don't like him very much, either!" Himiko harshly whispered to the Koromon besides her. She then nervously addressed the Gurimon herself. "Hahaha... You don't have to do that if you don't want to, Gurice! So... don't feel so pressured to come along with us... okay?"
But Gurice heard neither one of his peers. His eyes had glazed over as he continued to stare upwards into the vast expanse encompassing the sky. But they became alert once a single streak of light shot through the sky. The Gurimon yelled out in shock and excitement as he became so energized he began to hop from side to side.
"What is it... oh..." Yashiro looked upwards, to see several streaks of light soaring through the sky. Three lights, all falling in different directions. "Do you think that's a meteor shower, or something?"
"No way, it's probably just some grown-up Digimon flying around, or something," Himiko stated, dismissive as she nudged Yashiro. "So let's just go already! Being around here is giving me the chills!"
"Well... I guess that makes sense," Yashiro admitted, turning to Gurice again. "Hey, that was pretty neat Guri, but do you wanna go back now?"
But Gurice shook his head/body, his eyes bright and grin wide. "Nope! Sorry, but I gotta go now! I don't really understand it, but I think there's something I gotta go do now! And someone I have to find! Bye-bye!" The Gurimon began hopping wildly away, into the dark woods beyond the Village's walls.
"Wait, Guri! We're not supposed to leave the Village after dark, and..." Yashiro let out a sigh. "Oh... he's gone, already... I guess we should get back, then..." The Koromon and Yokomon began to make their way back.
"See what I mean?" Himiko asked. "Weirdo!"
