Post by Kumiko Masuda on Aug 30, 2022 5:02:21 GMT
Name: Kumiko Masuda (久美子 増田)
Alias: Miko, Mimi
Age: 23
Gender: Female
Height: 168 cm (5ft 6in)
Weight: 60 kg (132 lbs)
Alignment: Neutral Good
Birth Date: June 24
Birth Place: Japantown- San Francisco, California
Skills/Talents: Kumiko has refined her writing skills over years and years of practice growing up. She loves telling stories and dreams of being able to write great epics that people will read across the world one day. She's not quite there yet, however, as she constantly rewrites her projects over and over, struggling to define the direction of her works.
Despite such a struggle, she is remarkably good with poetry. From haikus to sonnets, she finds them all endlessly fascinating. Some of her first published work was several of her poems put into an anthology, and it continues to be the skill that puts at least some food on her plate.
As a younger girl, she participated in tennis throughout her schooling in America. While she was never a part of any major wins, she has continued playing it occasionally to this day and remains fairly athletic.

Digivice:
Personality: Kumiko on the surface level appears fairly confident and sure of herself, but the truth well and truly is she is only one step ahead at any given moment. She carefully plans her day ahead to give herself the air of confidence, hoping that if she acts it, eventually the confidence will simply become genuine. So far, that isn't the case. If something goes wrong or is different than she carefully planned, she quickly becomes a fumbling mess internally, struggling to regather herself and her thoughts. She'll go from stone-faced and inspiring to a mumbling, clueless woman in just a few seconds.
She dreams of appearing as someone who could be considered cool. That perhaps if she acts a certain way, or knows exactly what she is speaking about, she'll attract people who want to know about her. Perhaps even make a new friend. And yet she had never been the social butterfly her friends back in America had been no matter how much she wishes she was. Her introverted self gets easily exhausted and flustered when speaking to new people if she doesn't force herself to appear calm. People are a mystery to her, and she has a fairly hard time reading other people's emotions unless they are rather obvious.
Despite her struggle to appear cool, if she gets genuinely into whatever she's doing, the facade completely drops and the genuinely fun-loving girl deep within shows. Playing games at the arcade will bring out a wide, never-ending smile and joyous laughter. So long as there's nobody around she cares to attempt to impress, she'll happily dance the night away at one of the many games. If someone is actually able to get her to drop her act entirely, they'll find a genuinely passionate girl, who just wants someone to talk to about very silly, mundane things.
Appearance: At first glance, Kumiko usually stands taller than most other women her age, being quite larger than the Japanese height average. Thin, yet athletic in appearance, one would almost expect her to stand out even more. She doesn't dress to show off often, however. It's long shirts and sweaters almost all year round. She does sometimes wear a leather jacket, almost like a biker would. It makes her feel cooler than she actually is.
She almost always has a stone-cold face, making her incredibly hard. Kumiko doesn't tend to fidget or move about much. If she's sitting down, she's still as a statue almost on instinct at this point. Even when she does grow flustered and mumbles to herself, her posture is pretty much perfect.
FaceClaim: KOMI CAN'T COMMUNICATE • Komi Shouko • Magnere
Personal History: Born to a couple in Japantown in San Francisco, Kumiko has always lived a bit of a double life. Surrounded by Japanese culture all around her, and then one of America's largest cities, she's never quite felt like she fit in. Either she didn't speak English enough as a child to feel comfortable reaching out to some other kids, or fumbled over her own words in Japanese so much she'd feel uncomfortable. And so she grew silent, believing that the less she spoke, the less of a chance she'd have to make herself look dumb.
Even as she aged, her language skills improved drastically but she remained quiet. Not that she never spoke at all, it just wasn't easy being the center of attention. And yet, she still craved that desire to be looked on in a positive light. To appear cool, and intelligent, to be someone people actually wanted to get to know. Her parents were fine with their quiet kid, they never caused a problem, and being young parents themselves it was a relief to not have a troublemaker on their hands like many of their friend's kids.
Perhaps because of her struggles with language early on in life, she grew passionate about getting better with it. From there, her love of words spiraled into a genuine life-long dream. She read book after book, dreaming of a day where she could perhaps write her own books. Where people would look upon her writing with the same glee and passion that she was with the books she read.
She had just managed to make a few friends at a book club in school her senior year when her parents dropped a metaphorical bomb on her. They were moving back to Japan, to take care of their own parents. She did not have to come with them, as she was 18 by now and was a year away from moving out anyways. But she panicked and said she'd come with them, she'd join them overseas.
What a mistake.
She was stuck in a world that was familiar, yet different all the same. A world where her closest friends were thousands of miles apart, only able to communicate via the internet. A world where she was expected to know what to do. As a Japanese woman who was technically a foreigner to Japan itself, she rather quickly realized that it was probably just better if she kept her mouth shut once more. Just act cool and confident, eventually, people will be interested in getting to know her. Hopefully by then, she'll at least know how to actually talk to people without sounding like a dork.
A quiet, lonely life, Kumiko sometimes dreams that she had at least a single friend in person who she could just relax with.
Digimon Name: Lilia (Lily)
Default Form: Rookie
Gender: Female
Alignment: Chaotic Neutral
Skills/Talents: Lily is a comedic genius, or at least she believes she is. While her more practical jokes sometimes fall flat, she is incredibly quick-witted. She's remarkably good with wordplay and comes up with witty responses rather quickly. Despite any silly or dumb jokes, she is remarkably intelligent. It just doesn't show very often.
Asides from that, however, Lily is remarkably good at skateboarding. It's such a silly thing for a Digimon to want to do in her mind, especially when she can fly, but it just feels fun! All kinds of tricks and flips are admittedly aided by her wings, but she's rather agile with it all. It's definitely a fun little hobby, but she'd absolutely skate pretty much everywhere if she couldn't fly.
Inventory: A skateboard designed for someone the height of a child, but it works out for her well enough.
Personality: Lily is a born troublemaker in perhaps the most literal sense. She loves causing a little bit of mischief and mayhem, but it's all truly in good fun. She never means to actually cause harm to someone, but sometimes she just can't help herself when the opportunity for a good joke arises. Genuinely confident, cocky, and altogether silly, Lily thrives on a good joke. Asking someone for their name, and then claiming their name as her own, is an endless classic.
However, even this mischief maker is well aware of when it is time to get serious, even if they never fully lose their signature comedic wit. They are genuinely selfless and should danger arise, they will always put themselves in the line of danger to protect another. While they certainly value their own life, there is nothing they wouldn't do for those who genuinely need help. A good soul, deep down even if she doesn't always understand other's emotions that well. Everyone deserves to smile, at least.
One of the only major flaws that she'll admit is her lack of patience. She doesn't know how to be content with just sitting around. Even if they are watching something, or reading, they aren't content to sit still. Not when adventure is out there, and all they have to do is go out and reach it. She genuinely struggles with this, as sometimes it does sound nice to be content with just sitting back, listening to music, and just watching the stars go by.

Fresh
Species: Pupumon
Appearance:
Art by Extyrannomon.
Attribute: None
Family/ies: None
Type: Slime
Fighting Style: Pupumon isn't exactly designed for combat. Their first instinct is to blow a few bubbles and float away as fast as their little blobby body can carry them.
Abilities:
[Non-Combat Passive] Fairy Flight: Pupumon can fly with relative ease, although not exactly gracefully. They're more akin to a speeding bullet, quick changes in direction prove challenging for the little gal.
[Combat Passive] No Fight, Just Flight: Pupumon is utterly incapable of inflicting harm on something. Instead, they are designed almost entirely just to fly away, with no other real defensive measures to speak of. Because of this, Pupumon can dedicate itself entirely to speed, moving double the speed of the average fresh digimon! Wobbling on the ground is incredibly slow, however.

Family/ies: Wind Guardians
Type: Fairy
Fighting Style: Erimon's entire philosophy in combat is that you can't hurt what you can't hit. But not in a cowardly manner, more accurately in an aggressive, blinding distracting manner. Doesn't exactly mean they can inflict much damage, but being an annoyance is good enough.
Abilities:
[Non-Combat Passive] Fairy Flight: Erimon is much more capable of flight than their previous form, able to hover almost akin to a dragonfly. Their wings flap at an incredibly quick speed, almost like a hummingbird, and can fly in any direction.
[AoE Debuff] Flutter Scales: Bright, shiny scales fall off their wings and fill the air approximately 5 meters (~16ft) around them. These scales are incredibly shiny and reflective, making it hard to see and reducing accuracy for all except Erimon by 30%. One can simply leave the scale cloud to no longer be affected, but aiming within is still difficult. This move is only really effective against other In-Training and Rookie Digimon and lasts for 2 posts and with a cooldown of 2 posts.
[Damage] Breezy Boo-Boo: Erimon huffs and she puffs, and she blows out a sharp slicing wind! This wind blade is sharp enough to cut grass and paper, and cause some minor boo-boos! But nothing too serious.

Family/ies: Wind Guardians
Type: Fairy
Fighting Style: Flitmon is a highly mobile fighter who never truly sits still. Practically dancing around her foes in the wind, a very tricky foe to pin down.
Abilities:
[Non-Combat Passive] Fairy Flight: Flitmon is practically built for flying. Her wings grant her remarkable agility in the air. Paired with her incredibly light weight, it takes almost no energy to sustain flight! Fairy dust tends to follow in her wake, a beautiful, yet typically harmless glittering particle that she can create.
[Non-Combat Passive] Fairy Feelers: The antennae atop Flitmon's head are incredibly sensitive, and are able to detect disturbances in the air remarkably well. Not only can they always tell the direction, speed, atmospheric pressure, and humidity of the breeze around them but they can detect whether a breeze is completely natural or altered in some way, such as a rushing train nearby or another Digimon's windy gusts. Unsurprisingly, they're quite good at predicting the weather with all this instinctual information.
[Combat Passive] Glass Bullet: This fairy is incredibly fast, but also incredibly fragile. They take 20% more damage in total from attacks, but are 50% faster than the average rookie!
[Piercing Damage] Sudden Strike: Flitmon suddenly gains an incredible burst of speed, flying past a foe so fast it's difficult to react to her, making blocking or avoiding the attack incredibly difficult as it fully pierces most defenses. As she shoots past, the wind slices behind her cutting into her foes with deadly force. After such a burst of speed, the move has a cooldown of 2 posts.
[AoE Damage] Fairy Blast: A sparkling ball of highly compressed air forms within their hands, that is then launched towards a foe. Upon contact, the ball explodes outwards as fairy dust and wind shred a 10-meter (~32ft) radius from the point of impact. This move has a cooldown of two posts.
[Shield] Graceful Gust: The very air around Flitmon sparkles with fairy dust as it comes to her defense. The air swirls strong enough to deflect attacks back at a foe with surprising force. Such extensive use of the wind requires a 4-post cooldown.
