There is a certain place no digimon dare go through, an area within the southern part of the digital world almost closed off from the rest of the world, in a far corner that leads out to the ocean far away from any civilization or any true living digimon was an area that was constantly wrapped within a thunderstorm, rain so dense you could barely see anything one foot in front of you, a storm that was so deadly, so powerful that it had been said that it would strike any and all who dare trespass into this section of the digital world, those who were foolish enough to try were quickly met with a bolt or two, showing them the danger is just as real as the rumors would claim.
For all digimon this was a place none should visit, none should seek anything within this part of the digital world, all except for a lone Sistermon who would gladly brave the storm whenever she could. Ciel, the wandering swordmaster, known for going to all corners of the world regardless of danger and distance would find herself within the eye of the storm, walking through the rain as it soaked through her clothes, binding them tighter to her frame. Hair matted down long since stuck to her back since the moment she arrived. Yet she pressed on through the rain regardless.
One would think the storming above, the angry bolts of heavens wrath from above would stop her, one would hit her. Deter her from further within the storm, however where others would be met with a shock of the lifetime, a near death experience blazing through their core or a simple warning blasted in front of them to cause them to flee, Ciel was met with none of these. No the further she got into the storm, the further she made her way towards her goal the calmer and calmer the storm seemed to get, the outward manifestation of anger that wildly lashed out against any and all who dared cross its path gave way towards the center of the storm itself, giving way from terrible rain, harsh winds and powerful bolts to a much calmer center within the storm itself, as if the elements themselves were reflected away from this one spot by some force unseen.
Ciel took her hat off, letting the soaked cloth hit the ground below her as she moved her free hand through her hair, gripping tight and shaking any water that was on it quickly off of herself. "Yeah, Yeah. I know don't worry. Its been a while, five years right?" Ciel asked as she looked around while ringing her outfit dry. "Place still looks nice, that storm still keeps digimon away after all this time. Guess you can only take so many mega level bolts to the chest before you run off." Ciel walked further towards the center, talking all the while with a small smile on her face. "I know, I know I said I'd come every year but, I have an actual excuse this time." Ciel said as she walked closer, eventually walking up to a massive sword stuck in the ground, Keraunós, A sword wielded by aa Jupitermon sat in front of her, its shadow completely engulfing her. Right below it was what appeared to be the blade part of a broken Katana stuck in the ground. "Jun, I'm sorry if you got lonely." Ciel said placing her hand on the sword, despite the blade itself sending waves of energy from itself, keeping the storm around it going, it dared not lash out that power towards Ciel.
Walking behind the sword Ciel sat down, leaning her back against the blade, eyes closed and head against the base of the blade as she looked up towards the sky. "Its, been a long five years Jun. I'll try and go over from the top." For a while Ciel just sat there under the blade itself, talking to it like she was talking to an old friend telling the sword stories of the twins she had ended up taking care of, of her new love Jes that ended up leaving her, reincarnating into those children. Of the battle she endured in order to try to save those kids....
Her consequences for losing that very same fight...
Everything that had been going on in her life she mentioned, everything and anything she could recall at the time, like she was doing a summary of what has gone down in her life. "And to think Jun, me? a mother. Ha, if you were still around I'd imagine you'd laugh at the notion." Ciel's eyes opened, looking towards the ground for a moment before adding. "When we were together, anytime I made mention of children you'd freeze on the spot, so scared. Twas the only thing that made you seem to feel fear." Ciel's knees came closer to her body as she wrapped her arms around them, pulling them tightly against her chest from her sitting position.
"Now you're gone and I'm the one who's scared, I've been doing my best Jun, honestly I have but there's so much more these children have been through, so much they need to learn, so much they will suffer for, bleed for and possibly even perish for. All due to their birthright, something decided before they were born." Ciel sighed as she leaned her head back against the sword once more, looking upwards towards the sky. "I know what they must go through yet here I am, still so torn up about the man who left me, who chose to reincarnate before I had the chance to tell him how I felt. I, I finally got over your death. Finally tried to get close to another and try to make it work and, once again I am left alone." Ciel's head went down, back to the ground below, eyes shut.
"Say something, please. Anything." in a quivering voice Ciel asked, tears slowly forming around her eyes, falling down her cheeks onto the dry ground below. "The silence, terrifies me." Ciel wiped her face to the best of her ability, opening her eyes once more. "I don't know what made him choose to reincarnate, nor do I know why you refuse to awaken from your death after all these years."
Ciel stood up, taking a few steps away from the blade. "I know, crying won't solve anything. It never does." Ciel turned back to the sword with an obviously forced smile. "If I'm still around, that means I still got things to do. Wherever you are just sit tight Jun." Ciel turned back towards where she came, bending down and grabbing her discarded hat as she walked back towards the storm. "I'll see you in a year, next time with better news. Heh, might even bring the twins with me." Ciel remarked as she walked back through the storm, leaving the sword stuck in the ground, forever unmoving.
