Death of a Bad One (Abaddon)

Hm, such tenacity should be commended. Abaddon thought to himself, his sharp tail swishing behind him in excitement. Yeees, this is a battle that shall never be forgotten, no matter the victor.
However, Abaddon wouldn't have much time to savor ensnaring Hexeblaumon in his trap, as the icy knight still managed to fire a blast of sub-zero energy at the Plutomon. Abaddon's response was to summon six rings of dark energy. "Rolling Cutter!"
The Plutomon grabbed two of them and used them as handheld weapons as he bisected the incoming Absolute Blast down the middle, causing both haves of the blast to miss Abaddon entirely. The rings in his hand shattered from performing such a daring feat, but Abaddon was still able to send the other four Rolling Cutters right at Hexeblaumon's limbs, their sharp edges ready to slice into him on contact.
As his dark chakrams flew, Abaddon rose into the air and flew closer to his foe so that the Hexeblaumon would be easier to reach with his next attacks (whatever they may be). -Nightmare Reverie: (CD: 1/4) -Scatter Leech: 4/4 -Cursed Hands: (1/4) -Rolling Cutter: Plutomon holds out his arms as he conjures 2 shadowy rings that he can either use as melee weapons, or launch at his opponent at high speeds like spinning chakrams. 2 post cooldown, partial piercing. Plutomon can optionally conjure up to 4 additional rings, at the cost of adding an additional post to the cooldown for every 2 rings conjured (leading to a 4 post cooldown if all six rings are used). (0/4)
(Would this buff still be active despite digivolving? I honestly don't know.) -X-Evolution: +200% attack power. (Duration 2/3)

Hexeblaumon was sure that his Absolute Blast attack would strike true. He was sure of it! However, fate was sadly not on his side, as Abaddon had summoned six bladed rings made of dark energy, using two of them to cut the cold blast attack in half, leaving the Plutomon completely unharmed. Hexeblaumon's eyes widened from the act, even though they were hidden behind his visor. Thankfully, it would be at this moment that Hexeblaumon would be able to free himself from the shadowy hands, no longer being restrained. And just in time too, as Abaddon had just thrown the other four dark energy rings right at him. No biggie, Hexeblaumon has dodged worse stuff than this. However, he could feel the power from Lightning Implant fading; he probably won't be as fast as he was before. However, he believed in his skills enough to have confidence in dodging them. So, he took to the sky to combat against the attacks, flying far higher than he probably should have. With the first dark ring, he managed to maneuver out of the way right at the last second. The second one, he hit out of the way with his ice spear. But he miscalculated when the third one would hit, and it hit his side far sooner than he anticipated. Hexeblaumon cried out in pain, the ring blade striking his side and create a giant, bleeding gash, a bad enough injury on its own. The fourth one, however? Hexeblaumon had completely lost track of that one. The scene played out almost in slow motion. First, he felt the most intense pain in his right arm that he had ever felt. Then, he could still feel an intense amount of pain, but he could not longer feel his arm. And then he saw his arm flying away from him, completely detached from his body. The immense damage was enough to revert Hexeblaumon back to Shoutmon, although even in his rookie form, his arm was still missing. The now detached right Shoutmon arm was laying a few feet away from him on the grass, with Shoutmon crash-landing on the ground shortly after, bleeding greatly from his abdomen. The left side of his horn was almost broken off completely, hanging on by a thread.
So many emotions were flooding through Adrian's head. His legs tensed up; he couldn't move. His heart was skipping multiple beats. His stomach twisting and turning. His breathing got heavier; Adrian couldn't breathe. Why couldn't he breathe? W-What was happening? This wasn't how it was supposed to go! "My... it hurts... this..." Shoutmon was in shock. He couldn't make a complete sentence. He felt nothing in his right arm... his arm wasn't there... Abaddon was floating right above him... he was going to die, wasn't he? He and Adrian... Shoutmon heard footsteps. He felt someone's arms underneath his. Everything was so foggy. He couldn't tell what was happening. Did... someone pick him up? Were they running somewhere? What Shoutmon hadn't realized is that Adrian had picked him up, and he was running as far as he could while trying to open up a Digiport with his Digivice, trying to make a quick escape. But his emotions were fighting against him, and he couldn't make his stupid fingers work the damn device, unintentionally giving Abaddon a perfect opportunity to stop their escape.

As his four Rolling Cutters flew at Hexeblaumon, Abaddon watched them all with glee. Two were dodged and deflected, and the third one managed to deal Hexeblaumon a decent injury to his side. But the fourth one? Oh, that one made Abaddon proud as it ended up severing Hexeblaumon's arm clean off, the shock of the injury forcibly reverting the icy knight back into his Rookie form before Shoutmon ended up crashing to the ground.
Abaddon simply couldn't believe it. After all this time hiding and planning to defeat Shoutmon, the dragon was brought down so easily by the power of his Plutomon form. "Ha... ha... ahahahahahahaHAHAHAHA! Oh, how I've waited for this moment! Weeks... months spent planning my vengeance, and now my new power has laid the former tyrant low in a single hit! If I'd known this was all it would take, I wouldn't have bothered with hiring those useless mercenaries. But that's enough gloating for now. It's time to put the finishing nail in the coffin."
Abaddon would then descend towards Adrian and Shoutmon, the tamer attempting to run with his delirious partner in his arms. Abaddon slammed his hand downward in an attempt to crush his targets beneath it. "You can't escape me, boy! I'LL CHASE YOU TO THE ENDS OF BOTH WORLDS!" Adrian cursed himself multiple times for failing to work the Digivice in a moment of pure shock. His partner's arm had just been sliced off, and the red dragon was bleeding extensively from the wound. If Adrian didn't do something right now, then Shoutmon probably wasn't going to make it.
Although he had been trying his hardest to work his fingers to open a Digiport, Abaddon slammed his hand right down in front of Adrian, missing him by mere inches. Adrian's eyes widened, as it felt like his entire lifetime flashed by his eyes at that very moment. Abaddon was far more powerful than either he or Shoutmon had ever imagined. Had he been training himself this whole time? Just to kill Shoutmon?
Adrian managed to snap out of his scared state and book it towards the opposite direction. Of course, Abaddon would think to slam his hand down in front of the human once again, also missing by a few inches that time. Damn it... I can't escape! What do I do?!
"Adrian..." Shoutmon whispered, quiet enough so that Abaddon didn't hear him.
"Shoutmon, save your strength until we can get you to a healer," Adrian told his severely injured partner.
"Slayerdramon... let's form Slayerdramon."
Adrian stopped in his tracks. "Shoutmon, you're badly hurt! You can't fight in this state!"
"If we Biomerge, we'll be able to fight together... I'll probably have my arm back for a bit, too..."
"Shoutmon, you are missing an arm. If I evolve you any further, you are going to die." At the same time, Adrian couldn't figure a way out of the mess that they were currently in. With Abaddon not giving them any opportunities to escape, was Biomerging the only solution the two of them had? What Adrian failed to realize at this moment was that he had stopped moving completely, giving Abaddon a free strike at both him and Shoutmon respectively...

Meanwhile, Abaddon's aanger at being unabvle to swat his opponents had quickly faded as the Plutomon decided to intentionally draw the chase out so he could savor it. After all, if your victory seems practically inevitable, why not enjoy a little game of cat and mouse along the way? "Run, run, as fast as you can, little insects. It may just buy you a few more minutes of life before I catch you!"
The moment that the word "Slayedramon" left Shoutmon's mouth, though, Abaddon froze mid-swipe, his memory of their first encounter flooding into his mind. The mental image of a partial manifestation of Slayerdramon taking down his Nightmare clone of Omni rose up unbidden, and a chill went down Abaddon's spine at the memory. Slayerdramon? A Biomerge form above RedMagnamon and Hexeblaumon?!
"You, Biomerge?! No... no! I will NOT allow this! ASTRAPHOBIA!" Abaddon shouted in a panic, unleashing black lightning in every direction in an attempt to feep his foes from forming Slayerdramon.

Adrian still had his hesitations about biomerging with Shoutmon when he was this badly injured. What kind of effect would that have on him? On Adrian? On the Biomerge form as a whole? He was so unsure, and he didn't want to take any risk that would result in Shoutmon getting worse, possibly even killing him. After all, Shoutmon did get his arm cut off. Evolving with such a bad injury would just be suicide.
However, it appeared that Abaddon was still able to overhear their conversation. He froze up at the mere mention of the word "Biomerge," as well. Adrian started to piece it together... if Abaddon was afraid of a form like that, then maybe going to that form was the way to beat him... Shoutmon insisted he'd be fine, but Adrian still didn't believe him.
Abaddon took this opportunity to act first, firing a barrage of black lightning bolts in every direction to keep Adrian and Shoutmon from Biomerging. Adrian held on tightly to Shoutmon, picking the severed arm of his partner up from the ground, before diving behind a nearby boulder to serve as cover from the lightning. Even in his pained state, Shoutmon still found the brain power to be irritated that Adrian wasn't going with the idea Shoutmon provided.
"Adrian, we need to Biomerge... right now," Shoutmon said, his voice still somewhat weak.
"Evolving with an injury like that will kill you, Shoutmon! I won't take that risk!"
"If we don't Biomerge, we'll both be dead. I refuse to let him get away with this..."
"Shoutmon, I can't-"
At that moment, the boulder was struck by lightning, blowing it up into bits and leaving Adrian and Shoutmon exposed for Abaddon to murder. Adrian stared right up at the Plutomon, afraid of so many things... afraid of Plutomon, afraid of dying, afraid of Shoutmon dying... there was just no way they could win, is there?
"...I'll never forgive you if you die on me, Shoutmon," Adrian said, deciding to trust his partner's judgement. He quickly pulled out his Digivice before Abaddon could do anything more. "Matrix... Evolution!"
"Shoutmon Evolution!"
There was a bright flash of light, bright enough to blind those in the general vicinity of the clearing. When the light cleared, it was no longer Adrian and Shoutmon standing there... instead, it was a silver-clad dragon man with a red cape and a very unique looking sword. "Slayerdramon." The creature's voice sounded like Adrian's and Shoutmon's voices speaking at the same time. And they were glaring right at Abaddon.

"No... no, no, no, no, NO!" Abaddon exclaimed as he rushed in to try and prevent Adrian and Shoutmon from Biomerging. However, his attempt would ultimately prove to be in vain, as his opponents managed to form Slayerdramon without a hitch. The moment the Biomerge's glare landed on Abaddon, the Plutomon froze up. Despite Shoutmon still being seriously wounded from Abaddon's earlier attack, it somehow seemed that very little of said damage actually transferred over to Slayerdramon (aside from a small gash on his side, perhaps).
The sight of all of his hard work being practically undone in an instant filled Abaddon with an unholy rage, enough for him to break free of his brief paralysis spell. "No... even if you've biomerged, I REFUSE to go down so easily! Even if I fall here, I'll do whatever the hell I can to drag you both down with me! HAGGARD CLUSTER!"
With his outburst, Abaddon's various mouths began emitting a black fog that spread out across the battlefield, corroding everything caught within its dark radius. The corrosive miasma may not be as effective against a Super Mega like Slayerdramon, but it might obscure his vision enough to give Abaddon a chance to reposition himself. -Power of a God (passive): Plutomon's basic attacks deal as much damage as 0-CD named attacks. -Nightmare Reverie: (CD: 4/4) -Cursed Hands: (4/4) -Rolling Cutter: (3/4) -Astraphobia (1/3) -Haggard Cluster: Plutomon's mouths spew out a dark mist that slowly corrodes everything within a 150m radius of Plutomon (except Plutomon himself) over the course of 3 turns. 5 post CD. The first thing Slayerdramon noticed is that, while he had his right arm and it was fully functional, it was in a tremendous amount of pain. It felt as if something was pulling at it hard enough to cause pain, while not enough to truly rip it off. Slayerdramon was doing a decent job at not showing that he was in pain, but his inner voices of Adrian and Shoutmon were telling a different story.
HOLY SHIT, MY ARM FREAKING HURTS!
Trust me, it's a huge improvement over how this arm felt after Baddy here cut it off.
The Biomerge itself was enough to have Abaddon lose his cool, and after he broke free of his fear induced paralysis, he made a vow that he'd do whatever he could to drag Slayerdramon down with him even if he were to lose this battle. A black miasma then poured out of Abaddon's various mouths, which appeared to corrode everything caught within its radius. While it wouldn't do much to harm Slayerdramon, it did limit his vision somewhat.
So what better attack to use than a super long area of effect?
Slayerdramon slashed his sword out, extending it so that it wrapped around any creature within its 250m diameter range. If Abaddon was there, there would be a slim chance he'd have made it out in time. Slayerdramon would then pull the sword back, dealing additional slashing and burn damage to Abaddon. "Blazing Steel Cage!"
Slayerdramon uses "Blazing Steel Cage" on Abaddon.
Moves
Blazing Steel Cage: Slayerdramon's sword extends repeatedly at alarming speed, slashing with it so that it appears to surround the battlefield around the target, up to 250 meters in diameter. When it is at its furthest extent, he pulls the sword back in so that it slashes and burns whatever is caught within. Cooldown is three posts.
Passives
Dragon's Roar (Combat Passive): Slayerdramon does 30% more damage against other Digimon that he uses his named moves on.
Cooldowns -Blazing Steel Cage (0/3)

Inside his corrosive mist, Abaddon's eyes widened as he saw Slayerdramon lash out with his whip-like sword, the blade snaking out to cover a wide area. The sheer speed of the attack gave Abaddon little time to react, resulting in him being knocked off his feet as the flaming blade struck him across the chest, the blade's extension and retraction knocking him back and forth.
After struggling back to his feet, the damage inflicted upon Abaddon's torso would reveal a gruesome sight: within the large, scorched gash of his armor, the inner darkness within the armored shell took the form of a myriad of wailing faces. A few examples included a SkullKnightmon, a Vegiemon, and even a Dexmon... all of these faces being the various Digimon Abaddon had fed upon and killed throughout his accursed life. "Now look what you've done. Do you see them... Slayerdramon? So many damned souls within me..."
Abaddon let out a laugh that quickly degraded into a pained wheeze as he grasped at the gaping wound on his chest. "I wanted... so desperately to add you to my collection. Your power and mine combined... I could've ruled this world! Ha... ha... haaa..."
While he spoke, Abaddon staggered closer to Slayerdramon, his eyes never leaving that of the Biomerge as he approached. "I will die here, but I can see that my work will leave some form of legacy... No matter what, I can tell that... you will never forget about me. If nothing else... your damaged horn and missing arm... will always be a testament to that!" -Power of a God (passive): Plutomon's basic attacks deal as much damage as 0-CD named attacks. -Rolling Cutter: (4/4) -Astraphobia (2/3) -Haggard Cluster: Plutomon's mouths spew out a dark mist that slowly corrodes everything within a 150m radius of Plutomon (except Plutomon himself) over the course of 3 turns. 5 post CD. Just as Slayerdramon had hoped, Abaddon was caught within the sword's blade, and had successfully slashed at the Plutomon's torso with the attack. Although it would take a bit for the dark miasma to fade, Slayerdramon could feel his sword make contact with something. Not to mention the scream Abaddon would've made when he got hit. However, Slayerdramon did not anticipate what would happen next.
After the dark miasma had faded and Abaddon got to his feet, the wound was as clear as daylight. There was a scorched gash on the torso of Abaddon's armor, and the darkness inside took the form of many different Digimon faces. Slayerdramon could make out a SkullKnightmon, a Vegiemon, and even a Dexmon, all of whom were screaming from inside the Plutomon. "Homeostasis... what in the damn hell are you?!"
Abaddon admitted that these faces were the souls of various Digimon he had consumed over the years. He never truly loaded them; they were all conscious within him this whole time, and he had been using their power for himself this entire time. Abaddon went on about how he wanted Shoutmon in his collection of souls so badly, purely because of his own power being added to his would've made Abaddon unstoppable. Slayerdramon started to feel sick at these revelations.
Slayerdramon backed up slightly as Abaddon limped closer to the Biomerge. He claimed that Slayerdramon would never forget about him, that his broken horn and missing arm would be testaments to that. His legacy will be cemented in Adrian and Shoutmon for all eternity.
"My horn can be fixed, and my arm can be treated," Slayerdramon calmly told Abaddon as he held his sword up. "You are nothing more than a blight on this world, fueled by nothing but wicked desire. You manipulate others for your own goals, discarding them like broken tools once their purpose has been used. You show others their worst fears come to life, then feed off of their life energy. You consume the souls of countless Digimon to increase your own dreadful power. Had you been less greedy with me, you would have been the biggest threat the Digital World had ever seen."
At this point, Slayerdramon then quickly slashed at Abaddon's torso with his fiery sword, with the aim to slice the wicked Digimon in half at the waist.
"You were close to killing me, I'll give you that. But if I'm going to remember anything about you, it's how I was the one that stopped you from hurting another Digimon ever again. With your death, the souls you claimed will finally find peace, and you will reform in the Village of Beginnings."
Slayerdramon would simply watch as Abaddon's body disintegrated into digital data, a smirk present on his face as Abaddon would likely go through the five stages of grief in the span of five seconds. Just before Abaddon vanished for good, Slayerdramon would say one last thing to him:
"Looks like I win."

And thus, the mortal blow was struck as Abaddon's upper half slid off of his waist and onto the ground, his smugness replaced with shock as he realized what had happened. From his lower half, somehow still standing, the various souls Abaddon had absorbed all flew out one-by-one as they were finally able to return to the village of Beginnings to reincarnate.
"D-dark... Essence!" On the ground, Abaddon shakily rolled onto his back as he unleashed his absolute last resort. From his torso, a blob of darkness began to emerge, attempting to form into Abaddon's Eyesmon form. Once it was half-formed, the mass of eyes and teeth cackled at Slayeredramon. "No matter how many times you try to kill me, you fools, I'll always find a way to cheat-w-what? What's... happening?!""
The half-formed Eyesmon was confused about why it couldn't fully manifest until it looked down and its eyes widened in shock. The remnants of Roland, the SkullKnightmon he consumed months ago, had also partially emerged from the body of Plutomon and was pulling the incomplete Eyesmon back into the Plutomon's chest.
"No, demon. You aren't getting away this time. We will face the end together, you and I." Roland's spirit coldly stated, before he turned his gaze towards Slayerdramon. His voice softened as he explained his plan to the Biomerged Digimon. "I will keep his spirit trapped until he finally expires, and then I will merge my spirit with his as we reincarnate together. I have faith that, whatever form our resulting fused reincarnation takes, it will at least be a better person than this monster."
"No! NononoNO! Let me go! LET ME GO!!!" Abaddon desperately begged, but his pleas fell on deaf ears.
As he dragged Abaddon back into his armor, Roland gave Slayerdramon a firm salute as Abaddon's body finally gave up the ghost and fully disintegrated. And with it, this horrific chapter of Adrian and Shoutmon's life was finally over.

Slayerdramon smiled a bit and waved goodbye to all the souls that were finally able to return to the Village of Beginnings. The way all the souls flew out from the severed body of Abaddon was a little bit disturbing to Slayerdramon, but that did not matter now. What mattered was that the souls were free, and that Abaddon had been slain for good this time. Surely, Abaddon wasn't going to find a way to cheat death this time, right?
Of course, Abaddon had to have some final trick in order to get away from dying. Slayerdramon slipped back into his battle stance the moment he saw the blob of darkness emerging from the severed Plutomon torso, prepared to go another round with this damn abomination that just refused to stay dead. However, something seemed to be stopping the Eyesmon from forming. It turned out that one of the souls trapped within Abaddon had stayed behind, and was now pulling the Eyesmon back into the Plutomon's chest to fully die.
The partially formed SkullKnightmon looked over at Slayerdramon. It clicked that the way Abaddon was able to change into that form... was because he imprisoned a Digimon within him to get it. The spirit said he would ensure that Abaddon fully died, and then would merge with the monster's own spirit, hoping that the Digimon that would form from the two would be a better person in the end.
"I'll never forget your sacrifice," Slayerdramon said, putting a hand to his chest. "Good luck in your shared life with him. You're going to need it, I'd wager."
Abaddon's screams as he fully died were very chilling, but it still made Slayerdramon feel better that the monster ultimately got what he deserved. The SkullKnightmon spirit gave Slayerdramon a salute, and the ghost had finally disintegrated. And just like that, it was over... Abaddon was finally dead.
Slayerdramon split apart immediately after that, with both Adrian and Shoutmon falling to the ground, absolutely exhausted. Shoutmon's injuries were healed up and he wasn't in pain anymore, thankfully, but his arm was sadly still missing. "Dang it..."
"He's gone," Adrian muttered, picking himself up. "That damn monster is finally gone!"
"Yeah, after he wrecked the house and sliced off my arm," Shoutmon said, feeling more tired rather than happy at this point. Still, a smile formed on his face. "But you're right; we can breathe easy knowing that dirt wipe's not going to be bothering us again."
"I'll message Weston and ask him to fix the house," Adrian said, pulling out his D-Terminal and sending the message. "In the meantime, let's head over to Terminus to get you a new arm."
"And some lunch too," Shoutmon suggested. "Your yakimeshi is probably unsalvageable at this point."
"Sadly yeah, I agree... you should talk to Skye before we leave, though. She's going to want to know why the house got damaged and you're missing an arm."
"Yeah... hopefully the fact that it doesn't need healing anymore will put her at ease a bit."
