Lucky was dashing across one of the many beaches in the Southern IsIe. The rhythmic tide called to him. While the comforting warmth was prompting him to rest. Perhaps he’ll try and get a tan—actually—see if it’s possible for a Digimon to get a tan. A ball flew over him and shortly afterwards the sound of two In-Trainings passed behind him. The Southern IsIe was a popular destination for Digimon seeking relaxation. But not him.
This was one of the rare times he was here for business, temporarily at least. Mai was a dedicated waitress of a seafood restaurant called the Crabmon Shack, but she was sick today, and he was sure it was his fault. Mai had vacation time so he convinced Mai to climb up Terabyte Mountain with him. She wasn’t fond of it, the whole time she complained about the cold. Something he should had considered since Mai lived in the Southern Tropics. Now she had the flu or whatever was the Digimon equivalent.
He was always up for a new experiences, but waitering wasn’t the most exciting venture. Having his friends job on the line only made things more stressful. Taking full advantage of this beautiful location had to be reserved for better occasions.
“I’m ready to start.” He yelled as he ran through into restaurant’s.
“Sorry no jobs are available.”
“I’m filling in for Mai.” He cut the Ceolemon off. “She’s sick. Please don’t fire her! I promise I’m a great replacement. Temporary of course. I’m very sociable…I’m great at following orders. And Mai filled me in about the job so you don’t even have to train me.”
The Ceolemon seemed most ecstatic about the last sentence. “Right, we’re opening right now. You know what to do.” They entered the kitchen as Lucky stared at him in relief. This wasn’t a big restaurant so it nearly had too many customers, but after a hour a decent amount of Digimon populated the restaurant and Lucky was getting overwhelmed with orders.
