Standing on top of a hill within the southern part of the digital world, surrounded by storms and plagued by constant thunder sat two swords, one massive blade imbedded into the ground, energy still flowing out of it and into the ground it sat below, echoing the great power it once wielded. Sat next to it was a much smaller blade, a Katana laid down next to it, broken and shattered into many pieces, signs of age and degradation from the constant storms evident on its old frame. Two swords once belonging A Jupitermon Wraith mode and Sistermon Ciel, two digimon who would do anything for the other, to save and protect them no matter what the cost to themselves. Despite the promise, despite caring for one another the two swords sat here together alone, one because its master could no longer reach it, the other simply because of the unforgivable act it was involved in.
The same scene played out years ago, the same place and the same storm. Ciel ran through the pouring rain, soaking her outfit completely and forcing it to stick to her body, she didn't notice, the cold nor the rain. She was dead focused on the path ahead, rushing forward towards her closest ally Jun. "Please be ok, I'm almost there just. Hold on." As Ciel said that she picked up the pace and started to run even faster, clutching her blade in hand, thumbing over the clover decoration on the bottom to try and calm herself down, it didn't work.
Finally Ciel managed to make it to the clearing, what she saw those was not what she had expected in the slightest, the only thing that was left standing within the rain was her lover Jun, though his form was different she could tell from even a glance that it was the same digimon, despite the power surge she felt the same aura he always had.
However something else was setting her senses off, despite nothing being there it was a massive lingering sense of danger, the feeling of energy dispersing from where they stood that was sadly familiar to the Sistermon, it was the feeling of death. The energy that was released when a digimon passes, she felt that in spades at the moment completely surrounding her. "He, killed them all..." Ciel spoke as she slowly approached Jun from behind, he didn't move nor did he seem to sense her.
"Jun, I'm here. Hold on." Ciel said as she walked towards him, in this mode, these abilities he had now made him one of the strongest digimon in the world, however that strength came at a cost that Ciel knew well, how long he had been fighting she didn't know but, the longer he remained in this form the worse he was going to get.
Ciel reached out her hand towards his back, in an attempt to reassure him that it was alright, she was here now. However before she could even touch him Jun let out a massive pain filled cry, head turned upward to the sky as a massive surge of energy blasted through Jun around around him, knocking Ciel away from the sheer force. Managing to catch herself Ciel landed on her feet, looking up at her partner. "Jun!" Ciel cried out as she ran back over to him.
However as she ran, in a flash she felt pain surround her body all at once. She could barely even see it coming, despite this her blade was raised and defended against the hit, nearly completely shattering the blades sheath from the force. Ciel completely defended the attack on instinct and it still dealt so much damage from the force alone, looking up at the one who attacked her it was none other then Jun, holding his blade in one hand as blank eyes looked at Ciel, no matter how hard she looked into his eyes there was nothing there, he was gone.
The same scene played out years ago, standing where the blade stood now was a digimon wrapped in fury, eyes wide with rage and thunder sparking off every single part of their body, completely destroying the rain that fell on their body, bursting into a puff of smoke if it so much as glanced by him. Surrounding this digimon was a scene of carnage to put it lightly, data from many other digimon swirling around within the rain, just being near it would be enough to make any digimon sick to their stomach at the sheer density of the death surrounding this place.
The one responsible for this carnage shook, rage consuming his very mind as he gripped the massive blade he held tighter and tighter, threatening to snap the handle with the sheer force he was gripping it with. His eyes flashed back to moments before, every swing of his blade, every hit on his body furthering this rage that now consumed him, however had it not there was no chance he would still be standing here as he was now.
From the distance though he heard someone shout his name, slowly his head turned to look at the one who called him, despite the familiarity in the tone, despite the words he knew their voice slowly became further and further from their mind despite getting closer and closer, as his rage consumed him fully, the fury he felt from the show of carnage that surrounded him his mind became more and more distant.
"Jun, I'm here. Hold on."
In his mind he recognized that voice, Ciel. His partner, his friend. The digimon he... Realizing this it came in like a flood of emotions, shaking his head violently he tried to keep the raging beast at bay, not to her. He had to hold it in less it attempt to lash out at her in its fury, gripping the blade he felt his mind slowly shatter and sucumb to the rage, he was too tired, to wounded to fight it of. Finally Jun gripped his sword so hard the handle cracked as he let out one last pain filled raging cry into the storm above the digimon known as Jun became completely overwhelmed, there was only the storm, akin to a physical manifestation of his rage swirling above that remained. He was no more. Within a moments flash the blade from the ground was taken out and aimed towards the nearest digimon, friend or foe was no longer recognized as the raging beast from within took over.
