In the bustling Entertainment District of Shibuya, Alexandria Juniper, along with her (Technically bound with) spirit Tide, found themselves strolling through the vibrant streets of the entertainment district. Neon lights illuminated the area, casting a lively glow on the numerous shops that lined down this area.
The Spirit Wielder entered a quaint bookstore, its shelves filled with a diverse array of books. Alex, with her curious nature, perused the shelves in search of a book that would capture her interest. Tide Manifested by her side, looking at their host, Curious.
"What are you looking for?"
"Something Good for me to read later on & Annika to read for bedtime."
However, Tide, being themself, couldn't resist making a snarky comment, they gestured towards the books and then crossed their arms, they said, "Really? Reading to a child for a bedtime story? Isn't... that well... Childish?"
Alex, with a raised eyebrow and a gentle yet firm tone, glanced at her spirit surprised but offended nonetheless. "Tide, finding a bedtime story for a child isn't wrong. After all once finding a book, I need to find a good book for myself to read, It may contain some new knowledge" She answered Via mentally still, with her tone ending a sing-song.
Tide, Basically the Spirit of Knowledge relented as she looked excited. "Knowledge? More to know! Count me in Host!" She exclaimed excitedly with stars in her eyes. Technically still not used to a spirit like Tide, Who was basically a more knowledge obsessed than Alex herself.
Alex, slightly taken aback by Tide's comment, sweatdropped a little. With a small nervous chuckle, "I'll Just continue on looking for a good book." She said. Tide huffed at her partner, But agreed anyway as looking for a good story or somethin' is good and Tide did want to know all of the secrets to the human world.
"Fine, But the sooner we find that kiddo's book, The sooner we can find knowledge!"

Today was a special outing for Speed and Psych. Their mother, Akane, had invited them out on a walk through the Entertainment District of Shibuya, where they could stop at wherever they felt like during the walk, whether it be a store or a restaurant or wherever they wanted to stop at. And the three of them would be wearing their holosuits, of course. Akane saw it as a chance to bond with her two estranged sons, who were usually busy with either school, work, or their other friends.
It didn't help that the twins had an especially rocky start to their relationship with Akane, but she still wanted to take whatever opportunity she could to prove that she could be a better mother to them.
During their walk, Psych stopped in front of a book store that had caught his attention. "Mother, could we stop here for a moment?" Psych asked.
"At the book store? Well, of course," Akane replied. "You must like reading then, hm?"
"Indeed, I do. The only one who shares this interest of mine is the literature teacher at the school, though."
"Ugh, reading," Speed complained, rolling his eyes as he entered the store with his family. "Easily the most boring medium out there. At least anime and video games having interesting things going on."
"Speed, you can complete a book in its entirety in five seconds. Why are you complaining?"
"For one, I can do it in three, and two, it's three seconds of pure boredom."
"Both of you calm down, we're here to have fun, remember? Kaoru, why don't you go look around for a book that you like, and I'll pay for it. Hikaru... just don't cause any trouble, okay?"
While her sons did their thing in the store, Akane would browse the various sections in the bookstore at her own speed. As she was doing so, she could overhear another human, a blonde haired woman who sounded like she was talking to herself. Considering that Akane didn't know that earpiece phones were a thing yet, this was quite suspicious to her. Still, she smiled and made lite conversation. "Are there any books here that you'd recommend?"

As of searched for a good book to read for her daughter, She heard the door open as she glanced up for a moment to see two teenagers and a woman who must be their mother, But Alexandria went back to her booksearching. Humming to herself Tide cast a small glance at Mother's direction, as if they knew something.
Alex didn't notice as she would then finally find the bedtime book. "Aha! Found it!" She exclaimed triumphantly. She was raising it into the air like it was some sort of trophy won from a video game, as in which Tide squinted at it curious.
"M-magic Tree house... Dragon of the Red Dawn?" They read aloud somewhat interested as their eyes twinkled like stars. "This book contains info on dragons huhu~?" Alex cast a side glance at the spirit somewhat wondering what was going through the spirit's mind, and somewhat knowing Tide, She shrugged. "You can listen in at bedtime okay and technically No. It's just a non-fiction story as Dragons aren't real." Alex answered.
But she then flinched at a nearby voice that was close to her causing her heart to leap a little as she turned to face the woman, somewhat trying to control her breathing. But once calming down her composure had returned, Alexandria faced the woman and nodded with a small friendly smile.
"Sure, I recommend the Midsummer Night's Dreams if you're looking for a comedy book to read, Hidden Figures if you wanna read something historical, or the Harry Potter books for something Magical and fictional," Alexandria recommended, Her japanese fluent but easily her british accent was noticeable. "Oh and I'm Alexandria, Nice to meet you." She added with a soft smile. "You got spooked, Ha." Tide teased with the most cheesiest grin a Sangomon Spirit like them can muster, as it was obvious they was not going to let that pass.
Alex looked annoyed for a moment, before hissing under her breath. "Shut it."

As Speed, Psych, and Akane were left to their own devices in the book store, they call collectively turned around when one of the customers suddenly shouted that they had found the book they were looking for. She was even raising it up into the air to show off to everyone, it seemed. They, as well as everyone else in the store, made confused faces before going back to what they were doing.
Akane was the closest one to this woman at the moment, and she overheard her tell... someone that dragons weren't real. A small smirk had formed on her face, as she imagined how she'd react if she were to discover the truth. This was when Akane asked a question to the woman, who seemed to jump in response. "Oh, I'm so sorry, I didn't mean to scare you like that."
The woman was still kind enough to give recommendations, at least. The three books she recommended to Akane were Midsummer Night's Dreams, Hidden Figures, and the Harry Potter series, all three of which sounding like decent suggestions for books.
"I wouldn't recommend that last one," said a nearby young man wearing glasses. "The author's a real piece of crap who uses her money to make life harder for certain people."
"Oh dear... well, thank you for letting me know, I guess," Akane said, not really sure what to say to that. The man just returned to his own devices, as he didn't matter much to this story right now. She turned back to the woman, who introduced herself as Alexandra. "I'm Akane Ito, it's a pleasure to meet you. I'm just here with my sons, I promised them an afternoon of city exploring."
Shut it? Akane was rather stunned to hear Alexandra say that so suddenly. She wasn't saying that to Akane was she? "I'm sorry, did you just tell me to 'shut it'?"

Alexandria felt the confused looks and was embarrassed about it. But upon the woman apologizing Alex only smiled softly. " It's okay, There's always an occasional time when you get scared." She quipped cheerfully. Upon her decent enough suggestions, a young man had to talk abut the books being crap, and all out honestly they weren't, they were some decent books to read but who was to argue on that after all opinions were just opinions.
Alexandria looked at Akane and at the words at her having kids she sighed. "So, those two I saw earlier were your kids, they look beautiful." She said in the most non-offensive way, mentioning Speed and Psyche. She was unaware of Akane and her kids being Digimon in disguise, to be honest. "I have a daughter as well, But not here she's the reason why I'm here."
Seeing and hearing Akane's stunness as she asked that, made both the spirit and the spirit user flinch at that as Alex didn't expect for the shorter woman to hear her and now Alex was going to have to make a random excuse as she looked embarassed and luckily she had her headset in as she points to it using this as a lie.
"O-oh! I was on a call with someone and they was teasing me hearing that I got spooked." She said quickly as that part was aimed at the offended party. And that said offended party crossed their arms and frowned.
"But still...."

Akane smiled when Alexandra complimented her kids. "Thank you very much," Akane said to her. "To be honest, we only just started forming a relationship recently. I... was not a good mother, to put it lightly, but I'm trying to change that. I hope you and your own daughter have a better relationship than I do with my sons."
Alexandra stated that the reason she was at the bookstore was because of her daughter. "Are you buying a book for her? How old is she? That's the reason we're here; Kaoru wants a new book that just released, but Hikaru is hyperactive and would rather do anything else than read."
As if to prove her point, right now one of the twins was enthusiastically yet methodically browsing the book sections as if he were looking for a specific book, while the other was sitting upside-down in a nearby chair, blowing on the bangs in front of his eyes and kicking his legs over and over. Yet if one were to compare the two just based on looks, they'd be hard-pressed to find any visual differences between the two aside from clothing.
Oh, so Alex was on a call with someone, and so she was telling them to shut it when they heard that she got spooked. That made perfect sense to Akane. "Is that who you were talking to earlier?" she asked. "I didn't mean to eavesdrop, but I heard you talking to yourself, so I was curious since I didn't see you with a phone."
Hopefully Alexandra has a way to explain the lack of a phone...

Alexandria nodded, but she felt a pang of sympathy for Akane. "At least you're there for your sons, I think you and your sons are going to have a great bond with each other as something jsut tells me that." She said. And at Akane's question that made the blonde look extremely happy about talking about her daughter. "I am buying a book for my daughter and She's eight, I finally found that bedtime story my daughter wanted" Alex answered.
And boy did the marine biologist feel compelled on a level of triumph of finding the perfect book, But Glancing at her sons she chuckled softly. "I see the difference from your sons on their actions, They look alike but their actions express alot."
Oh, Oh no that was something that she has obviously forgotten about since her phone was turned into a D-tector ever since she got to Japan. So she decided to use her D-tector as some way of a way on explaining it as a new model of a phone. " I-i Uh- have a phone and this is it! It's a new model phone I bought recently!" She said pulling the D-tector from her side seemingly out of nowhere, Since Tide is the one who usually helps with banishing and manifesting this darn thing.
Only thing that Alex hoped was this to pass as the truth or else as she was sweating a storm as her dread of getting her secret exposed by accident as a Spirit User...

"Simply 'being there' isn't enough after what I've done," Akane said, realizing that she was about to cry. She didn't want to cry in front of this random stranger that she had just met, so she did her best to steel herself before any tears could be seen. "I'm sorry, I shouldn't be piling this on someone I've just met. I think I just need to talk to a professional about this..."
Back to a more positive subject, Alex explained that she was finding a book for her eight year old daughter, and she had finally found the bedtime book that she wanted. The thought of a smiling little human girl getting what she had been asking for filled the disguised Growlmon with a great sense of joy. "Oh, that's fantastic! I wish I got to read my boys stories when they were young. What book is it, may I ask?"
"They look alike, but their actions express a lot." That's what Alex had to say in regards to both Hikaru and Kaoru. "They're both distinct, but they also both know how to act like the other. Which means they both know each other very well. It doesn't mean much coming from me, but I'm proud of the young men the two of them became. Hikaru even has a boyfriend, and although I haven't met him, he just keeps going on about how perfect he is. It's the happiest I ever see Hikaru."
So apparently, Alex had bought a new phone... one where she didn't need to hold it to her ear to talk... and also one that looked a lot like Digital World tech that she had pulled out of nowhere. Akane didn't even see Alex reach into a pocket or anything to get it out. But even though Akane was sure that Alex was clearly lying, she didn't want to call her out in the store like this. "Oh, well, um, alright then..."
She'd just have to ask her sons about it later.

Alexandria noticed Akane's demeanor changed a little and upon what Akane said, Alexandria felt a little concerned and sighed at the disguised Growlmon's apology. " It's alright, But whatever you have done in you're past is in the past," Alexandria said. "So, What happens right now and you being there for your sons is all that matters, Miss Ito."
she chuckled at Akane's question as the topic swapped to a more lighthearted topic which Alex was happy to oblige. "Oh! It's a Magic Tree House Book, my daughter loves these books, so I bought the next book for her."
Alexandria listened to Akane about her sons and raised her brow somewhat surprised at Hikaru having a boyfriend, But she shrugged it off. "Well, that's wonderful of him." She answered. She was still nervous but released a breath she thought she hadn't held earlier as she sighed in relief.
"Well, that was a close one."
Alex couldn't agree more with that. Until the door opened again, emerged into the library and walked into the bookstore as he began browsing for books... But the figure felt off for some reason if any of the disguised Digimon noticed that is. " You didn't sound convinced Akane... But... Eh." Alexandria said putting at her side and Tide automatically banished the D-Tector away.
