Just Recolored Palmon for a Rookie for my Upcoming Woodmon Line. But having a hard time thinking of a name for him. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

No problem, happy to help. A bamboo Digimon does sound cool. If you do it, I'm looking forward to seeing it.

Picked up a couple others that could also work as a Woodmon Pre-evolution. Was working on this Darker Floramon species and came across this fresh leaf version that I just can't get over. Thinking I may pick one of these two maybe combine them into a single Digimon. For example, the darker is a wilted weaker version and the Green has more power. I wonder if Rookies ever change form or if that's strictly something for higher levels.

I'm digging those gifs. I know some Digimon use a model from another level, just recolored. You could always make one an armor form. Oh, I see what you mean. Two forms in the same level. That would be neat. Reminds me of Launch from Dragon Ball how when she sneezed she changed forms. Maybe you could work them both in with something like that. If there's a storyline reason behind it, you could probably get it approved.

Yeah, I like to have fun in GIMP. I can change a Digimon based on Color(s) or "Zones" making some interesting color pallets.
You may have to expand a little on what you mean by "storyline reasons". What I was thinking though was something like a passive based on an active ability involved in Photosynthesis. The Darker form(s) look wilted and dead like leaves in the winter. When weakened his leaves change color to this darker "wilted" state. When using photosynthesis/root restore as his strength is restored/increased, the color returns to the leaves. Making him stronger to an extent.
Though could also make for an interesting set of Twin-Digimon as well. With the darker one turning into Normal Woodmon, and the "green"-leaf version turning into the Green Woodmon. With the later being more "Alive" and possibly stronger in some form. What with Green Trees being more resilient when compared to their dried out brown counterparts.

This is what I got thus far. Takemon: The Bamboo Monster |
| Dendrocalamon: The Dragon Baboo Monster |

Also just for the sake of completeness and boredom ((maybe)) here is another Subspecies of Woodmon WhiteBerch(Woodmon) |

I meant if you had a storyline reason why there were two forms, you could have both, but I like your idea of photosynthesis. You could make Takemon's forms stronger in different areas. I like both the Woodmon sprites too, so it could work for a set of twins, but I really like the color changing idea you have. It could also reflect a change in his personality between forms.
You could make the darker leaves into more offense and defense focused better for 1v1, and focus on healing and buffing when the leaves are green to take on more of a support role for when you have allies around. Or like you said, when the leaves are wilted, they are more vulnerable. Maybe the wilted form has extra resistance to cold, or green is stronger during the day and black leaves stronger at night.
Looks cool and excited to see this in action.

Maybe I need to make a Starlight version now from the Nightmare Shoulders or Dark Area Families.
