Mana calmed down instantly as he stroke her cheek, and she almost squealed with joy when he called her 'My Mana'. Blushing brightly, she felt as if she couldn't ever get mad at him, even if he had said that word. This feeling was so beautiful, and yet, she had to pout when Dinohumon interrupted them. She and Ayaka bowed at him when Ryouta introduced them, and even Ayaka smiled a little at that gesture of chivalry. Maybe it had to be with how much happiness Mana felt around him, but Ayaka had to admit that he wasn't that bad, after all.
In the distance, Ryudamon's group was returning to the Village, with the injured digimon's wounds somewhat tended up. Dinohumon waved at them, as he addressed the group again.
"Well, I have to thank you for doing these services so selflessly. Such kindness won't go unrewarded" from his waist, he drew a pouch and casually threw it at Ryouta "Hopefully this will enough. It isn't much, but as of now. I'd offer our hospitality, but I think we're going to be pretty busy with the reparations of this place. I'm never leaving it again, I swear".
Ryudamon waved happily at Liollmon as he returned, but the small lion was trembling like a dying leaf by only observing the female dragon.
"Don't worry, you wimp!" she said as she playfully punched his shoulder "I won't do anything to you. But you have told me that little thing earlier. By the way, you fought really valiantly down there. I'm pround of being your temporary leader, guys".
The other injured mons casually saluted her as she and the whole group entered the newly-created tent for tending the injured mons of this attack; it seemed to totally be the hanging place for most of the mons in the encampment.
"Well, I think this is our cue to leave this place" Ayaka finally said "Our work here is done, and you two have an entire day to spend together. I think I can carry you to Terminus, and from there we can get a Trailmon to Whitewater. It sounds easy enough".
"Yup, sounds easy enough. And don't worry, Ryo-kun, the last time I rented a swimsuit at whitewater, they had almost every existent type! It's kinda obvious that those guys almost live off the tourists. Anyway, I'm losing valuable beach time! Ayaka, you ready?".
The fairy nodded, and with a quick "Digimental UP!" Ayaka evolved into Nephilamon. She looked at the two humans expectantly, but as Mana began climbing Ayaka's cephalothorax, Ryudamon ran to were they were, panting lightly.
"W-wait, before you go, I-I'd really like to go with you, Ayaka-sama! I think that my place's not quite here, even after I traveled so much to be here, and, thanks to you, I've actually evolved!" she said in a pleadingly manner, as she bowed to her.
"You're the strongest digimon I've seen so far, and not because your strength, but because your indomitable will. You're the daimyō I was looking for all this time! Please!" she was almost kneeling at the spider, but her eyes full of determination still looked at Ayaka's frontal ones. Yet, the spider smiled at her, or the most similar thing a spider could do.
"Alright, you can come with uss, but I think that you musst firsstly make the proper preparationss in here, right?" she said gesturing to the tents "At leasst ssay that you are leaving thiss plasse and pick up your thingss. We will pick you up on our way back, and alsso... do you have a name? Or you are jusst called Ryudamon?".
Ryudamon bowed as she thanked the spider, but a light blush crept on her cheeks at that last question.
"Actually, I was given a name in my homeland, but I can't bear to use it because it becomes really awkward for me if somebody tries to make a nickname out of it. But it's Penélope"
Mana immediately heard the name, and covered her mouth with her hands as she imagined to most posible nickname that everyone would imagine about it. Thank God for Spanish lessons. Yup, it was pretty awkward if somebody didn't knew the nickname commonly associated to it, and most likely it'd lead to more than one misunderstanding.
"And what's the proper nickname to your name, then?".
Penélope sighed relieved after that question. Finally someone had the decency of asking that first before making a wild guess.
"Penny" she answered with a smile.
"Okay, Penny-chan, it's settled then! We'll pick you up at the end of this day, so make your preparations for the travel!" she then looked at Ryouta, extending him a hand to help him get unto Nephilamon's back "To Terminus we go, Ryo-kun! C'mon, get over here!".
After the older boy climbed up Ayaka's body, Mana began waving at the smiling Ryudamon as they left this place to their next destiny. She pressed her back against Ryouta's torso, feeling her defined chest and abs; her newly acquired home. Hopefully he would take the hint and hug her as Ayaka advanced towards Terminus. That would make the trip just perfect.
