And we'll never be royals. Sky let out a gasp when the boy didn't move. She growled and shoved again and again, pressing her right foot in front of her and her left behind her, but no matter what, he just wouldn't budge.
She let out another frustrated sound when he held her fist in his hand. It was strong, yet it didn't hurt. No. The only thing hurting was her pride and that was evident in her stormy eyes.
-There. Isn't this what you wanted? You have me cornered now. If you start being a cocky diva, don't expect me to be nice towards you... but I really thought there was something beneath that -
A smirk replaced her angry scowl when he made this statement. Her head tilted backwards as she barked a sharp laugh. "Ha, diva. Yeah, that's what your brother and his friends called me at the soccer fields," she said in a bitter voice, but there was a sparkle in those deep blue depths.
-I know it's none of my business. But... you look sad. I'm not comfortable hurting other people, but you left me no choice want to think that everything I've seen up until now is just a facade. I've got nothing to hide, so I'm just being myself all the time, but...
-...what about you, Skylar? -
SKy narrowed her eyes at the Kazan, her lips thinned out, but they quickly spread into a sharp grin. "What you see is what you get babe. This is no facade. I'm being as real as it gets and I could care less if you or your brother or anyone is nice to me. Actually, I welcome it!" she yelled before pushing away from him and grabbing the Relemon up, who had transformed back into her normal state of a little ball with two closed eyes. "Just get out. I'll tell them I broke out last night and I don't care. I've told them worse..."

Ryuu couldn't help but to smirk internally when Skylar was enraged due to her inability to move him out of his place. He had proven that by taken the steps back himself, hurting her pride: he could see that she didn't like being humiliated like that, specially when he got her fist with little to no effort. When he called her a diva, the busty blonde just laughed with a sharp tone. -Ha, diva. Yeah, that's what your brother and his friends called me at the soccer fields -the girl admited bitterly, though he could see the spark glowing in her eyes, so the Kazan guessed she was being her sarcastic self.
At his question about something being hidden beneath the cold-hearted, cocky diva facade the teen thought she was only holding, a reply came soon afterwards. It could've been the prove that he was blatantly wrong and she was just like that, but there was something that clicked in her speech. -What you see is what you get babe. This is no facade. I'm being as real as it gets and I could care less if you or your brother or anyone is nice to me. Actually, I welcome it! -she then pushed away from him and picked her partner from the ground, who had just been hitting his leg up until that point.
-Just get out. I'll tell them I broke out last night and I don't care. I've told them worse... The white-haired kept the serious look at her, though his eyes weren't cold; instead, they were neutral. -So, Skylar... you say that you don't care if anyone is nice to you, but then you state that you welcome it... That's what I call contradicting. Also, if you are really as cold-hearted as you appear to be, why does your voice break a little when you mention your parents? -he paused for a second, then continued his counter attack.
-Don't tell me that it's not what it seems, because the two times you mentioned them, your speech is suddenly cut... I might be wrong, but I'd say it's a pretty good guess. As of now, you don't need to tell them anything. Just let them sleep for now, babe -he finished with the same word she had used before to address him.

And we'll never be royals. She listened absentmindedly to Ryuu's whole spiel about how family didn't have to be about blood, but it was about those you loved. She rolled her eyes and flipped over to lay on her stomach. Somehow, even though she didn't ask him for his opinion, the younger teen was bent on giving it.
When Ryuu bent down to pet Relemon, the Digimon sniffed at the spirit wielder's hand and returned his petting with a lick.
-Huh? The bed's big enough for two people...
She smirked half-heartedly at this comment. "Fine, but like I said, I don't do younger guys. But you can have that side." She scooted all the way to the far wall and once again turned her back to him.

Ryuu looked at Skylar with a curious look in his eyes, wondering how would she react to his previous question about her parents. Obviously, she was resented with them because of something the boy couldn't understand, for he didn't know her story, or that of her family. However, Ryuu had always been a good listener, giving opinions much more mature than one would suspect due to him being young. -They're not my parents... Parents are biological in nature and they love you. So not they are not my parents. I just reside with them.
The teen looked at the broken window, scratching his back in a way similar to his older sibling. He disagreed with her, of course, but he needed to be careful in his choice of words, for the seventeen year old could be described as "jumpy". Sighing, he spoke again. -You know... I don't think that's right. In fact, parents that adopt a baby mean that they love the child. Otherwise, they'd never do it... Plus, sharing the same blood shouldn't matter anyway. Your parents are the ones that love you and support you, no matter what... I'm not going to talk about your situation since I don't know what's going on between you, but those are my thoughts... -the teen explained, then lowered his head to look at the Relemon.
-Hey there, little one. Sorry I startled you, but I was also scared myself... I didn't know what was going on -the young Kazan said, attempting to pet the yellow furball with a kind smile on his lips. He was then offered to sleep on the ground if he needed a place to stay until the morning came.
The young boy, oblivious to the fact that it could be easily misunderstood, just pointed out a simple fact. -Huh? The bed's big enough for two people... -he muttered, giving Skylar a perplexed look. Yes, sincere until the very end... albeit in this kind of cases, it was best to silently comply. Of course, nothing naughty was in his mind: he just pondered the fact that he had to sleep on the floor while the girl had so much space on her bed.
