Another day another dollar, at least it would be if today wasn't different. You see, while everyone of his friends was at school yesterday they'd all gotten sick, leaving Hugo alone during lunch. Coincidentally, he'd been "absent" the very same day due to reasons he wont say. Still, he was fortunate and unfortunate at the same time.
Sitting alone propped up against a wall, Hugo kinda looked like a street bum. Even though he was dressed in school attire, the way he sat on the ground may make people think that. This was the spot his clique would usually hang out when outside, but they weren't here anymore. But that didn't mean he'd give the spot up.
"Blah blah blah blah." Hugo said to himself as he stared into the distance. It was cool today, and although he was bored, he wasn't too bothered. "When those guys get back, I swear I'll make them regret leaving me alone." He was getting anxious. He didn't really mean what he was saying, and the lack of anything to do was getting to him more and more. He thought about the places around the school he could visit. The library was always a nice place to catch up some reading or to get some leftover schoolwork done, but he didn't feel like putting in the effort of reading and getting into a book at the moment. He also wasn't that far from the cafeteria, but he wasn't that hungry.
Hugo shuffled around his backpack, hoping to pass the time as he searched for something to do. This was supposed to be a time to unwind and relax from all the things class put on you. "Maybe I should just take a nap right here..."

This was it. The place where he used to have school. Charles was truly happy, as having a girlfriend can do that to you. He and Mana had finished their first date a couple of days ago, but she her partner to go with her to search in the dark area. Just with her. Charles hadn't refused, afterall, he didn't to get into a fight with Mana. She had helped him begin to truly begin tocontrol his spirits, risking her life in the process, and Charles couldn't be more thankfull. It was a good day, and Charles decided to pay a quick visit to school where he used to be in before he had ran from home.
Hiding in the shadows took a look at the school. Charles wasn't particullary full of friends himself, except perhaps by extention to Mana's. Still, he had some memories of that place, despite most of them not being so good.
The alley was indeed a good place to hide, one in which most people wouldn't come too and even if they did, they would probably assume he was just some homeless person, preventing any sort of interaction which might give Charles away.

It was quiet, and a quick nap wouldn't hurt. Being alone was getting a little boring that Hugo was starting to get tired while at school. But he was better than this. Usually he'd be the person who'd stay awake in class and try to pay attention. This was different though, this was lunch. He could afford to at least close his eyes for a while.
Letting out a big yawn, Hugo wiped his eyes. He looked around and observed the few students that passed by this area. For the most part this place was secluded and allowed the rebels and other students to hang out away from the core population. Sometimes it got a little quiet, sure, but it was also nice as everyone who did spend there time here were free to do what they wanted without any pressure. It was nice.
"Maybe I could get something to eat." Hugo said as his stomach began to rumble a little. He'd brought bottled water wasn't going to help now. As he slowly got up, he saw something that caught his eye. A student. Maybe. Hugo didn't pay too much attention to the other students around here, but this kid was different. He wasn't wearing school attire, and he'd never seen him before. Could be a transfer. Maybe he should go tell this kid that he could get sent home, but this was none of his business. Instead he just stood up looking at the shadows of the alleyway the kid had vanished into. "Man, that was weird."

The school seemed to be quiet from where he was. Yes, a few passed by and by their uniforms Charles knew they were students. Given the section of the school where they were, they wanted some space. For what exactly, Charles no idea as it depedended from person to person.
A student in particular caught his eye, one that seemed to be really tired. Charles couldn't blame some of the classes kinda pull that kind of sleepy was into the students. Charles had no idea why this guy had caught his attention, but the guy looked back at him, causing Charles to have to go back to the alley, worried.
Charles got himself ready. He sat down on the ground and covering himself with his cloak to hide his freshly bought clothes and part of his face with his hand, Charles reached the air in from of him with his other hand, ready to beg for money for the case the guy decided to go in there and check on who he was. This way, maybe Charles would manage to fool the guy into thinking he was just a homeless person and leaving.
But suddenly he heard a terrifying scream. Above the school, there was a black dragon thingy with long arms that ended in red claws. Charles immediately knew it was a digimon. But how did it get to the human world on it's own?
Checking that there was no one around, Charles drew his D-Tevtor and scanned the digimon. It was a devidramon a dragon demon digimon. Should Charles use his spirits now? Could he control them afterwards?

Hugo sat on the ground stretching his arms as he wondered if maybe he should get an authority figure into the picture. The kid was suspicious but it wasn't as if he he some guy in a hockey mask. He was still a kid.
"Maybe I should at least say something." Hugo mumbled to himself. It seemed like he'd been doing that a lot lately which was strange and would be embarrassing if anyone heard him. He rose to his feet, but as he did he stumbled around as the sound of a terrifying screech.
The sound echoed and rang in his ears and as he looked around for the source, Hugo's eyes froze on a terrifying creature. "What in the world...is that thing!?" He said as he slowly stepped back. The area around him grew empty as students fled in fear, and Hugo was about to do the same, but a thought crossed his mind. The kid in the alley. He didn't see him leave it. Maybe he didn't know there was danger.
The dragon like creature was close, but it wasn't like he was right next to them. And the likelihood of it wanting a Hugo sandwich wasn't likely either. Hugo decided to run to the alley, and yelled into it.
"Yo, kid! I know you're in here! You've got to get out. Now!"

Everyone seemed to be panicking. Screams and running were he two main things that seemed to be fillings the minds of other people at the moment. But maybe this digimon was peaceful, maybe they could just wait until...
"Demon Breath!" The Devidramon yelled as he got on top of the school. A large jet of flames bursted from it's mouth, melting part of nearby wall. This would be costfull to the school. And now Charles had no choice. It seemed he was the only one there that could protect people from the Devidramon. Besides he couldn't let this thing turn his girlfriend's school into a pile of rubble.
A voice interrupted his thoughts, telling him to leave.
"No, it's YOU that has to get out of here. Didn't you at least hear that demon thing?" Charles said. He need help. He needed to evolve. But not without making sure of something first." Nightspellmon, you promissed me a break. I'll let you out, but please let me remain in control once the fight is over." He grabbed his D-Tector. He didn't care if he was seen right now, somebody would probably make an excuse for the Devidramon and Charles would blend right into the description, most likely. A strain if fractal code appeared in his hand and Charles swiped it through his D-Tector. "Spirit Evolution!"
Fractal Code appeared around Charles and morphed him into Nightspellmon.
"*Freedoom!" The ghost cried out. Faster than the wind, it got out of the alley and looked upon the Devidramon. "*Eye of Judgement!"
Nightspellmon's four red eyed closed and the middle demonic eye opened and charged a beam of energy that was fired against the devidramon and hurled the demon away from the building by hitting it on the chest.
(OOC:* means one of Charles's spirits is speaking.)

Standing at the entrance of the alley, Hugo had shouted into the shadows, warning the kid to flee. The possible dangers, and surely something that looked as dark and dangerous as the beast did, would bring trouble with it. It wasn't long though until he heard a reply.
"No, it's YOU that has to get out of here. Didn't you at least hear that demon thing?"
Did he think he was stupid!? Of course he heard it. He was trying to help and get this guy out of danger, but if he wasn't going to heed his warning then it wasn't worth it. "Screw this then" Hugo said.
"Demon Breath!" A large large fiery blast burst from his mouth impacting a nearby wall. A large burst of wind blew from behind Hugo almost knocking off his feet. He grabbed the alley's walls to steady himself as he heard a voice shouting from inside.
"Spirit Evolution!" A quick light shown brightly and as Hugo stood fascinated by it, it disappeared just as quickly. And just as fast as that, something seemed to fly right by him. Hugo turned around to see something he couldn't explain firing something of its own at the dragon at the school's roof knocking it off and onto the ground.
"What the heck is going on here!? What in the world are you!?" Hugo shouted at the two creatures. Astonishment had now blocked his better judgement and his fascinated fear was beginning to show. Something was happening now, and he couldn't do anything about it. What were these things? The dragon rose to its feet as Hugo stood in place. Somehow he couldn't move even though he knew he shouldn't still be here. This thing was so...big. So...scary...

Panic remained, but it seemed the guy that came to tell him to leave wasn't planning on doing it himself. Too bad for him.
The Devidramon was clearly angered by the interruption of it's destruction of the school. It jumped into the air and dived against Nightspellmon, his extended claws glowing red.
"Crimson claw!" the demon dragon cried out. Nightspellmon's eyed returned to their normal state as the dark being approached, and he too jumped towards the dargon.
"Fig Ghost!" Nightspellmon shouted as the Devidramon was about to reach him, exploding into an expanding mist that covered almost the entire school.
The devidramon was clearly confused. And then clawing began, the dragon tried to claw back, only pointlessly hitting fog. Where was it's enemy, the cloaked digimon? What did it just do? More clawing came, throwing the dramon into the ground as an evil laugther was heard from every part of the fog, echoing.
" I don't who you are kid, but I'd leave if I was you. Regular humans are helpless in a digimon battlefield." Nightspellmon explained to the kid that be saw earlier, through ab apparition.

Maybe this...thing was right. Since the start of this fight, Hugo had done nothing but become a liable bystander. The ominous said this was a digimon battlefield. So these things were called digimon, which was good to know. But the voice said regular humans were useless in situations like these. Why did he need to be regular and useless? He needed to do something, but what? Run in there and get clawed to death?
"Crimson Claw!" The dragon demon digimon yelled again as it continued to claw at the mist. It viciously swung its arms all around it trying to strike down its opponent, but its attacks were in vain. Maybe Hugo should leave this fight to the professionals. Hugo run, trying to circle around the monster, staring at it as it turned its head towards him. "Devi Gaze!"
Hugo legs were now locked in place and the fear he had was growing even more. He was no longer hidden by an alley or a wall, but to the side of the battlefield almost near the digimon..
"I...I..I can't move!? Why can't I move!?" This was bad. There was mist everywhere which blocked out what he could see. And from what he could see, there was but the large demonic digimon towering before him. "What the heck is happening to me!?"

Now that was usefull. The dragon seemed to be so lost it couldn't understand Nightspellmon's body had turned into the mist that surrounded it, making him able to harm the Devidramon without it being able to harm him. Yet, the boy that had stayed wasn't carefull enougth as he tried to escape, causing the Devidramon to paralise him with it's "Devi Gaze" attack.
So, as the demon approached the immovable human, Nightspellmon attempted to claw the Devidramon multiple times, in order to harm it AND get it's attention away from the kid.
"Hey Devidramon! Here!" Nightspellmon shouted, creating an apparition not to far away from the Devidramon's left side. "Burn me!"
If Devidramon used his "Demon Breath" attack, Nightspellmon would simply reflect it with his "Misty reflection".

What a predicament Hugo had gotten himself intro. He had chosen to stay and his body had been paralyzed. A hint of fear overcame as he continued to look at the Devidramon; it seemed like he could meet his end soon. As the beast's claws neared him, Nightspellmon, still unknown to Hugo attacked. Claws flew in fury at the demon, amazing Hugo as he watched.
"Hey, Devidramon! Here!" So this things name was apparently Devidramon. As it taunted, the demon turned its head to Nightspellmon. "Burn me!"
It stared at Nightspellmon, letting out a growl as it did. It was easy to see that it was prepared for something. Hugo watched as his muscles began to relax, he slowly began to feel mobility returning to him. He stumbled around was he continued to circle around Devidramon.
"Demon Breath!!" A flame of darkness flew towards the dark monster that had saved Hugo. It was a fiery fury that even hell would be jealous of. Hugo didn't need to be here, this fight was getting out of hand, and now that he was no longer paralyzed he could try to escape. He continued to sneak around and ended behind up behind the more human shaped monster.
"Hey, watch out!"

Predictable. Devidramons were wild, corrupted beings, not the kind that would think twice before obeying a command to destroy something. Or once for that matter.
So as the Devidramon opened it's mouth, letting out the dark flames that erupted from it, and the boy that Nightspellmon had just saved now approached Nightspellmon, seemingly unaware that the visible firm of Nightspellmon was just an apparation until the fog faded, Nightspellmon opened his arms wide, fog gathering and conecntarting between them, in front of his chest.
"Fools, both of you." Nightspellmon commented, part angry part glad. "Misty Reflection!"
The gathered fog turned into a mirror, so clean it could be the waters of an ancient lake. Nightspellmon's apparition grabbed it with both hands and the fires from the Devidramon's attack were sucked it. Only a moment passed before they were expelled back towards the Devimon. The attack might do some serious damage if it hit, but then again, some worry began to grow for Nightspellmon as well.
His fog was beggining to vanish and soon it would return him to his harmable, physical form. When that happened he'd have to finish off the demonic dragon quickly.

When neither side is not the right side, you have to go with the best possible answer and Hugo opted to choose the monster that wasn't a diabolical demon dragon thing. As he looked at the dragon in front of him a good distance off, the side he'd chosen spoke. "Fools, both of you!" Was he talking about me? Hugo thought that maybe he hadn't chosen the right side and that he was probably doomed now. The ominous fog was beginning to clear which is usually a good thing though, and this thing had pulled a mirror out from somewhere and absorbed and reflected a fireball attack back at the dragon. So far, things were going his way, but as soon as he could he'd be gone.
Watching the fireball fly back and strike the demon and throw his head back was something to see. Hugo felt like screaming "CRITICAL HIT!" but it soon readjusted it back into place. With the fog almost now clearing itself out, Hugo looked at the thing he'd "allied" himself with. Maybe he should back up. Just a little more at least.
With the fog practically gone, the dragon lunged once again with right its claw extended. It appeared it at least knew what it was pissed off at now. It swung its claw on the way down at the hooded fellow, and someone needed to do something.

The fog was clearing, but at least the dragon faced the irony of getting hit by his own attack. If there was something Nightspellmon appreciatted was turning one against himself, leaving the victim to reflect about ways to make emends. The sad part was that they always got back to what they were doing before, only sometimes a they did something that was not as bad as before. Other times they did worse.
Nightspellmon saw the (very) angry Devidramon approach him, his claw reaching out to him. Ready, the ghost reached out with his own claws and charged at the dragon.
"Trespassing Touch!" Nightspellmon said, as his claws filled with an aura of darkness, ready to claw through the demon in the aimed area: the Devidramon's chest. That technique usually got the job finished. And of course, the Devidramon was attempting to strike him and charging at him in the blind hatred that was natural to his kind. Nightspellmon would likely take a hit, but the Devidramon would almost certainly receive the final blow. And he would receive it now.

Could this be the final strike to end the fight? It was still too early to decide that now, but whether or not it was was about to be decided. The fog had for the most part now cleared, and Hugo could no clearly see both the devil dragon and the demon man.
The two were practically flying towards each other: the dragon ready to claw and the man with his own attack. This would make a great movie. Oh dang, why hasn't he been recording this!? This is something that people needed to see!
And then the sound of a rip or a tear ensued. It seemed to echo as the sound of the impact continued. The man using his "Tresspassing Touch" had successfully struck the chest of the beast, but was flung away by its claw afterwards. The dragon froze in midair before slowly beginning to collapse. Was this the end of it?
Slowly making his way to the thrown man, his creep slowly became a jog and into a run. He should probably make sure that guy was okay. He did just save his life.
