The tendrils were recalled after some were drawn into her blade. Even if they were infinite, they would have continued being sucked into the sword for some time if they weren't recalled.
Shadows and illusions... perhaps he had something else in his sleeve, and she hoped to see it.
Hee descent was quickened towards him, and he fired off more lasers at her. While she could block these as well, she had another idea.
She performed a slash, causing, from Azramon's end, a strange distortion, like heat waves, in the air. Suddenly, Bev disappeared into these waves. But she was not gone... no, she went through a portal that opened up behind him. Deactivating her sword, she reached to him, aiming to strike him down with her Indignant Claw.

Azramon, despite not having BlackWizardmon's keen Aura Sense, could still feel presences pretty accurately. Sensing the waves, he watched as Bev faded from view.
Now, appearing behind him was an expected move.
The demon's body darkened, and he near-instantly shifted his body to face Beverly, the shadow's features turning to the back to face his opponent before splitting away into several shadows.
He reappeared several feet away, smirking. It was then that a portal formed nearby, and Rodgers poked out.
"Majin! I am SO talented that I already did what you asked. Yes, this was n-" the ChibiMachinedramon was about to continue, when the demon snatched the syringe the mega held with one of his tendrils. He wasted no time in injecting himself with it - it was Black Digizoid.
Rodgers theorized that the absorption of Black Digizoid into his shadow could enhance it further, making it near-indestructible. Done on a human, it would definitely kill them. But digimon were different.
Azramon felt his shadow strengthening... More... More... MORE!!!! Yes, this was it! The power he needed to change this world!
But something felt off...
Despite this, the demon unleashed a flurry of enhanced shadow tendrils at Beverly. They threatened to bind her up, or slash at her sides if it came down to it.

The slash missed its mark, as Azramon seemed to sense her behind him. In hindsight, though, it was an expected move, but in an area like this there were few options for a sneak attack. She exited out the portal, letting it close, and prepared for another attack, until someone came in.
That ChibiMachinedramon returned from an errand he had to do. But before he had a chance to even fully brag about it (an overly egotistical mad scientist... that brought back memories), Azra took the syringe and injected himself with it. She had no idea what it did, but it looked like it had beneficial effects for the demon digimon.
His tendrils then lashed out at her, prompting Bev to use her "Elemental Rain" technique, creating energy balls that would shoot a variety of elemental shots at the shadows as she kept clear from them.
"Hey, come on, you said you wanted a duel! This is just cheating, here!"
Mentally, Ghost spoke to her, angered over this development. "Mistress! He's cheating, let me help you!"
"No... Something is up here... I need you to hold off for now.

The orbs assaulted the incoming tendrils, but they held strong. Dang, this was too good! With their enhanced endurance, he was sure he co-
"Hm."
The demon sensed something was wrong.... Very wrong. All of a sudden, he felt a strong mental backlash. This was weird. The demon flinched, his shadows slithering in front of him without much purpose. The Biomerge all of a sudden felt foreign. Strange. It felt... Like his insides were burning. Azramon growled, trying to shake off the pain but failing miserably. He messed up. This had to be that damned Black Digizoid.
Shadow could feel it too. He was losing control... Was it even him? No.... No it wasn't. It was something else. And it was quickly consuming him. The Biomerge suddenly split apart - into Majin, and a completely darkened Shadow. But this Shadow looked different. It had crimson, glowing eyes and rows of sharp teeth.
Majin looked to his side, confused, but he somehow knew it wasn't Shadow. Then it hit him. A rush of memories and emotions that had been snatched away by his partner in an attempt to safeguard him, now unleashed by this being standing next to him.
Luminas.... The whole fight.... And it's outcome. That unfortunate outcome. Sure, he knew they went to Luminas, but the details weren't totally clear until now. He froze in place.
"Sis..." Majin muttered, falling to his knees in a near catatonic state.
"Your sister huh." the shadow said, projecting images of her on Majin's mind, using his own memories against him. This all, in an effort to break the man and dominate him. Then, he would take over the Biomerge, and lock it in place, permanently. A creature newly made, but so evil. Derived from the Black Digizoid and the pair's own negative emotions.
All those times shared together. Why couldn't it had been him? Why her? He had done so many things... So many bad things... And still, he was alive. She was a good girl... Why? Tears streamed down from Majin's eyes uncontrollably.
"You lost your sister... And it's all your fault." the shadow said. "All the disadvantage in this world stems from a person's lack of ability." it added. At this point, Shadow was nearly gone.
"It's all because of you. If only you had been strong enough, she could have been saved." as it said this, images of Majin's sister laying in her hospital bed manifested. The machines started beeping, alerting of her demise. Majin reached out at the illusions, yelling for it to stop.
"Then there's more..." the figure said, manifesting another illusion around the human. A crowd surrounded him, yelling at him. "Monster!"
Majin screamed out. The shadow smirked. "You see? This is the future you chose." the shadow said, sliding closer to Majin, leaning over him. "Why are you crying? This is what you chose. You're so nice and wonderful... But while it seems like you tried to save her, you just abandoned her when she needed you the most."
"Your mother was the same. If your sister had turned away her intolerable mother's requests, she wouldn't have died." the shadow said, referring to the day Majin's sister was pretty much dragged out of her house by her dysfunctional mother in a family dispute. It was this day that they had a car accident, causing her coma. Majin had warned her beforehand, but she still went along.
"What a foolish girl, huh? If she loved you, she should've abandoned her foolish mother." she added, while Majin kept muttering for the shadow to stop.
"That's what you really wanted her to do, wasn't it?" the shadow continued, getting closer to his face.
"Stop it..." Majin muttered, but to no avail. He broke down.
"Sis.... Sis... Why? Why did you leave me all alone...? I miss you... I hate being alone... I wish... I wish you had heard me! I wish you would've lived... For me!" he said, inbetween his crying.
"Even if it meant forsaking your mother?" the shadow asked. "Even if it meant that!!" Majin suddenly screamed.
"Even if it meant hurting someone?"
"Even if it meant that!!!"
"Even if it meant taking her life?"
"Even if it meant that!!!!!
"Good boy. the shadow said, wrapping around Majin. "That's right, Majin." it said, extending it's upper body in front of Majin and lifting his chin with two fingers. "There are times when you have to give up on one thing to preserve another. Your sister couldn't do that... She didn't have the resolve - the strength, to turn her back. Can you? Can you abide this world?"
"No... I can't! Anyone who tries to take my place from me will get no mercy... I will not allow it to happen." the human said.
"Do you have that kind of strength?" it asked. "Yes."
The shadow smirked. "Are you saying you accept me?" the shadow grew bigger, all around Majin.
...
"... No. I'm not saying that." Majin said, grabbing the shadow's head tightly. "I can always surpass you."
The shadow flinched. "Even if that is the wrong choice?" it asked, turning serious. Majin's eyes opened wide, a blank stare pointing at the shadow's face. "I'm not the one who's wrong... What's wrong.... Is the world."
The shadow paused for a moment. "That will do... Majin. To live is to devour others... Eat." it said, before rejoining him. Azramon reformed... But it wasn't the same one from before. It was Azramon, Fallen Mode. It looked like a shadow version of Majin's body, and a helmet covering half of his face, similar to an Angemon's. Azramon was currently in his Unstoppable Force Mode.
Tendrils extended to his sides, forming into two huge jaws. They took two big chunks out of the ground around him, consuming it's data to power himself up. It turned towards Beverly, no longer distinguishing between friend or foe. A halo formed above Azramon, concentrating energy and unleashing it as an intense, crimson beam towards her.

Now... things were getting complicated.
Majin and Shadow had split up, with Shadow being the one tormenting his human tamer. While Beverly would not see the illusions, she could make reasonable guesses what was happening. Although, hearing that his sister died was... sombering. She had known Majin before, but it was the love for his sister and his drive to do whatever it took to save that that convinced her to fight alongside him. She liked his moxie.
But apparently she had died... a fact that Shadow had hidden away from. Why or how were unimportant. Majin was lying there at his breaking point, while Shadow was heaping blame onto Majin for his sister's death, and also talked about his mother. Beverly had no idea what to do at this point but stand and listen.
A deal was made. Majin wanted to see his sister, and the two merged once more, becoming some new version of Azramon Beverly has never seen before.
She flew out of the way of the crimson beam, knowing full well he was more powerful than before. And seeing how he consumed the data around him, this battle had to end quickly.
"Ghost, I can't do this on my own. Please, help me!"
Dark light surrounded Beverly, and her form shifted into a new digimon... a golden, six handed dragon sped away from the blast and flew to meet up with Garm, who had came over to support Ghost, who was now in control.
"Before you say anything... I want to keep Beverly safe as much as..."
"Yes, I know. Let's try to make this quick!"
Four of Ghost's hands flew around, firing particle beams at Azramon, while the other two would help in her mobility. Garm simply ran around, hoping to divert some of his attacks to Garm himself, and waiting for a moment to attackl

Azramon stood still as the beam seared through, until touching a nearby cliff. The violent explosion caused it to raise up a lot of dust and debris, blocking his vision.
When the dust settled, Beverly seemed different. Much more powerful, he had never seen this form before. But he wasn't himself, so he neglected to react.
The shadow reacted quickly, blasting upwards as Beverly's hands moved around, firing particle beams at him. It seemed she was going all out, without any regard for her energy reserves. A wise move, he would do the same. There was no concept of preservation here.
"Chaos Matrix." Azramon stated, as he rose his left hand up. A black orb manifested, quickly rising up above him. It grew a bit bigger, casting twilight upon the battlefield. If Bev or Garm came into contact with the light, they would find themselves weakened down one stage. A Super Mega would go down to a Mega's power, a Mega to an Ultimate's, and so on.
As this happened, the shadow just stared down.

After he dodged the initial volley of beams, Majin made some sort of light field thing, as if he had made some miniature dark sun. And as its light shone on them, they felt themselves slightly weaker than before. This wasn't good, and it wouldn't be prudent to waste energy at this point.
But right now running wouldn't be the best option. Garm surged with electricity at the moment before disappearing. He did not teleport or go invisible, he is going so fast that he is faster than most eyes can track. With blinding speed he would perform his Blinding Monsoon attack, slashing with stunning, high speed swipes. It wouldn't hurt him, it probably wouldn't stun him, but hopefully it distracted him.
Ghost would take this opportunity, however. Not all of her attacks were purely offensive. Just most. But during Garm's attack, a red hand would appear from the ground to grab Majin. Ghost wasn't going to bother with the 7th Hand's phantom tentacles for the most part, she simply wanted to... borrow one of his attacks.

So it succeeded. The twilight being cast down upon them would weaken then considerably, and well, there wasn't much to cover yourself with in this particular area. It was perfect.
Still, the duo scrambled to attack. Garm seemingly disappeared in a burst of speed, only to reappear near Azramon - close range attacks tearing at him. But what could he accomplish with the equivalent of an Ultimate's power?
Oh, but that didn't seem to be the plan. A hand latched on to Azramon from below - he was nowhere near the ground, but it rose up fairly fast, assumedly. The demon looked under him, before shadow spikes protruded from all around his body, threatening to impale whoever got too close, be it Garm, or that hand intent on keeping him tethered.

The Claw managed to grab onto Azramon. She had effectively copied an attack, thanks to Garm offering diversionary attacks. However, just when the claw let go, shadow spikes shot out from the opponent. Garm was incoming to deliver one last slash, but managed to catch himself on the spikes, grabbing them, and then throwing himself off. This was not to say Garm was unharmed, but a few stabs were far less painful than full impalement.
Ghost used her hands to rocket herself over to the MutantGaomon, catching him and flying away. Deep inside, Ghost could feel Beverly's concern. Just a few minutes ago they were sparring, and now they had to defeat him or they would die. It was... concerning. But it had to wait.
Ghost flew a certain distance away before resorting to charging an attack. She should be able to take a few blows if need be.
"No one threatens my Mistress... and gets away with it!"
