Monou was currently perched on one of the cliffs within the Valley of Dragons. She had long ago made this her home. Dracomon was not too far away, roaring at the skies angrily. Many of the Dragon Digimon that roamed the area knew they were not to be messed with and so the roars attracted no unwanted attentions. A few strange glances and some unapproving roars back but that was about it.
"Stop it Draco! The others will attack if you annoy them." The Digimon huffed and walked back to its tamer, sitting down beside her.
"Let them! We shouldn't just be sitting here, we should be out there looking for Baby!"
"We've already tried! Draco, we've searched every inch of the Digital World within the past four months and have found NOTHING. There isn't anything else for use to do!"
"We could look again! Baby is out there somewhere, I would KNOW if it had been deleted. It IS my sibling afterall."
Monou just curled in on herself, pulling her knees up to her chest and pulling her hood over her head. She had had this conversation with Draco thousands of times before and it was always the same. They were never going to find Baby, especially since it clearly didn't want to be found.
"Once more. Just one more search and then I'll leave it be. Just one more fly around. I KNOW we'll find Baby this time."
Monou looked out into the expanse of the canyon, she should probably humour the Digimon but really she didn't have the energy. "Where would we go, where would we look?"
"I don't know! Just a quick fly around, if I feel we need to land somewhere then I will. But just one more fly, that's all I ask."
Monou was reluctant, but really what else could she do. Draco and Baby had been inseparable until Baby had left. Draco had always been incredibly protective of its sibling. "Alright. One fly, but that's it."
Draco had Digivolved seamlessly and Monou quickly jumped onto Coredramon's back. It wasn't the perfect form to fly on, but none of Draco's others could fly all that well, air travel had been Baby's job.
Draco made a quick sweep of the surrounding area. The Coredramon was going to call it quits when something caught his eye. It was a cave on the far edge of the Valley of Dragons. Draco was pretty sure it lead to the Spyware Caverns. That had been the only place they had yet to check, Monou insisted they would get lost but Draco knew they wouldn't. He never got lost.
"Monou, that cave. We should have a look, Baby could be down there."
Monou took a quick look and contemplated whether or not she should say yes. "We could get lost."
"I NEVER get lost and you know it!"
Monou sighed. "Alright, but if we don't find anything this is the last time we look."
"Fine..."
The two of them landed rather precariously next to the cave entrance. It was a rather ambiguous entrance into the Spyware Caverns, but once inside it became obvious to where it lead. This particular cave had a rather sharp descent into the underbelly of the Valley, towards the Northernmost part of the Digital world.
The two walked through the maze like catacombs of tunnels for a good few hours before Monou decided she'd had enough. "Draco, we've been searching through these tunnels for hours. It's time to give up now. Just face it, we're never going to find Baby."
Draco didn't want to turn back, not yet. "Just-"
"Why are you here?"
"Baby?"
"DON'T call me that! You have no right after what you did!"
"She didn't do anything!"
"Exactly. You could have done something to save those Digimon."
"We weren't powerful enough back then, there wasn't anything we could have done, we would have just been throwing our lives away. This was months ago!"
"We could have, SHOULD have done something! All SHE did was run away and forget about it. Those Digimon DIED, their data got deleted and they never came back. We should have done something!"
"Like what!? What should we have done!?"
Monou watched silently as the two Coredramon fought. She didn't like their arguing, it made her heart hurt. The fact that Baby was blaming her didn't help either.
"Monou! I'm going to Digivolve."
"But..."
"If you Digivolve I'm just going to do the exact same thing, she can't stop me."
