As the trains' whistles all blew one by one, giving a swift warning of near departure, passengers everywhere seemed overly eager to get to their designated trains. They ran into the locomotives, and some made it in time, and some had to find another way home. Among them, there was one that came way too early (I know, imagine that). Her name was Kira, and she had come to the station for her great plan for getting home. She thought it would be a perfect idea to get home via train despite her mom advising her to start up a car pool instead. Of course, the reason was that everyone who knew Kira knew that she would much rather take her own advice than anyone else's. Even her mother's advice fell second base to her own simply because Kira never thought she was wrong.
Well, more times than she would ever admit, these plans don't exactly go unhitched. More often than not, they actually fail unless she actually considers someone else's advice and imprints it in her ideas. But people are hard to change, and this trait is more apparent in Kira than anyone else in all of Tokyo. At least, that's what it seemed. At least now, even though it would be a long time before she would learn her lesson, she would at least reap the consequences of not heeding her mother's warnings. Kira was so tempted to start working on her latest macrame project, but there were way too many people and not enough places to do it in private. Not ones that one could keep a decent track on time anyway.
Just when it seemed like she was going to explode from sheer boredom, she caught a glimpse of what looked like a shadowy figure running out of a train. In the process, the figure seemed to drop a box, but it didn't seem important enough to them to go back for since it didn't even stop its fast motion in the least. The scene seemed dramatic enough to grab anyone's attention, and yet no one seemed to notice it. Not from what she could tell anyway. Looking around the station, adults seemed to only be concerned with getting on their respective trains, but that wasn't reason enough not to notice a big box in the middle of the cement ground. Some people walked right passed the box and seemed rather unaware of its presence, though she couldn't tell if that was because she was crazy or if they just didn't care. Considering the fact that they were so stead fast on getting on those trains, either one was evenly plausible.
None the less, Kira felt this unease about just ignoring the box. There was something in her gut that was telling her to at least get a glimpse of the box. Even though she believed in her instincts, she had her limits. There was no telling what could be in that box. Maybe there were drugs in there, or it was a stolen artifact. If she was caught with that, she could get in a lot of trouble for something that wasn't her fault. But there was this extreme nagging feeling in her stomach that she just couldn't shake off. Like if she didn't see what was in that box, it would haunt her for the rest of her life. Not wanting to deal with that over a box, Kira tentatively left her seat and crouched down by the box, gently lifting its lid. Inside was a bunch of paper as if it was some kind of present, and two strange digital objects.
One was a light pink and purple device that could fit in the palm of her hand and the other was a wide digital booklet type of thing. It kind of looked like a device used to chat with people online, actually. Even though they looked kind of strange, they also seemed to be on the valuable side. Kira considered looking for the figure and giving the box back to it, but now it seemed her instincts were telling her to use the palm sized device in her hand. The only thing was was that she didn't know how to use it, or what it was even for. Staring at the device, she was stuck in some kind of trans, and without even realizing it, she pressed on one of the buttons causing it to glow. This made her gasp a little before glancing at one of the doors on her right.
This wouldn't have been anything special had it not been for the type of door it was. This door never seemed to be opened by anyone, and even though customers didn't know it, the door held more secrets than the employees there were willing to tell. Glancing around, Kira could feel herself being watched from the intense security everywhere. Gulping, she couldn't shake the feeling so she approached the door anyway. Ignoring the reactions of any security of the member, Kira held the mysterious device to the scanner causing the door to react.
Once that was done, the strange door opened allowing the almost dazed teen to enter the room before the mysterious door shut behind her. To her utter shock, another train was in the room, and it wasn't an average train that most folks were used to. This one seemed different somehow, but Kira couldn't figure out why. As her instincts grew stronger, so did the urge to follow them. She walked toward the train before facing one of the opened doors that seemed ready to accept anyone who wanted to enter it. Doing just that, Kira could start feeling the ease that she was right where she belonged at that moment. But that wasn't the end of it. The strange device in her hand started to react more, and then the notebook seemed to open up on its own. On the larger digital device, an image of a pink egg with purple accents appeared, and started to grow.
The thing was, it wasn't growing, but getting closer. It didn't stop getting closer until the hard shelled object made it into the teen's arms. What this meant for her, she had no idea, but one thing was for sure, Kira knew she was in for one wild ride the moment that egg came out of that device.

Rayanne and Luke were making their way through the train station. Luke was in his Lucemon form. He wore a baggy hoodie to hide his wings with the hood up, concealing the wings on his head. To help him blend in more, he also wore a pair of jeans and sneakers. Eventually they came to a door. "This is the place Megan told us about. I just hope we're ready," Rayanne stated. "I should hope so. Kurama's training should pay off today," Luke replied. Rayanne unclipped the D-3 from her bag strap and held it up to the door. The screen lit up as the door opened. "Shouldn't we have had Megan come with us?" Luke asked as they walked over to the train.
"I don't think we're going to stay long enough to warrant her help. It couldn't possibly be that dangerous," Rayanne answered. ...I think her son would strongly disagree. They entered the train through the open doors. "I didn't expect to see anyone else here," Luke stated upon seeing the girl. Rayanne noticed her too and looked directly at the egg she was holding. "I remember when an egg like that came out of my laptop. I thought I was going crazy from being overworked," she told them.

Kira's eyes widened as her thoughts swirled around the walls of her skull. Aimlessly wandering around the locomotive, the young teen found herself on one of the seats near one of the windows by the door she entered the vehicle from. Her stunned face clearly told anyone who might have seen it that had she not have the instinct to cradle it the way she did, she would have dropped it. She already dropped the two seemingly fragile devices, but her lack of attentiveness caused her not to realize the significance to that. All Kira could think of was the huge egg in her arms. And this egg was big. So big, in fact, that there was no doubt that an ostrich, or something big like that, was in it.
Kira placed one of her hands on the top of the hard surface, noticing just how smooth the young object was. Gathering her thoughts again, she leaned over and grabbed the two devices that fell on the ground, feeling that they held some kind of significance. Slipping them into her purse in case she was right was one of the few times she used logic in her ideas. Then she placed the purse on the seat next to her and continued staring at the object that held a young whatever inside. Wonder glistened in her eyes as she stared at the mixture of pink and purple that matched the smaller device that was now in her purse.
At first she was so engrossed in awe of the egg that she didn't notice the two people entering the vehicle. However, the moment she heard the voices of the two people that entered the train, Kira almost jumped out of her skin. She was calmed at the sight that they were humans and not any monsters that would come and try to hurt them. Them meaning her and the egg. Hey, there was something alive in there, she considered it a living thing. Anyway, she sighed out of relief, but her look of daze and confusion was very clear. In a case of the super natural, there was no way anyone could react rationally, least of all Kira.
Her first responses to both of their comments was a blank stare before realizing what was happening. Finally snapping out of her daze, she decided that it would be better to be polite and talk to this lady instead of just ignoring her. "So," she said, not exactly expecting herself to say anything in her frazzled state. In fact, that had to be the only understandable thing she said. The rest of it was undecipherable nonsense, but she was probably trying to ask what was going on. Eventually, from her literal mindless babbling, Kira gave up and groaned, not getting anywhere closer to understanding than when she started. She didn't have the slight suspicion of the kid, and only seemed to be instinctive toward things that had to do with the egg she had in her arms. Kira would become more reasonable once she calmed down and things started to clear up.

"I'm saying that you're going to have a crazier day ahead of you than you think right now, probably even crazier than when I got mine," Rayanne replied. "She's got you there, but she had help back then, and now so do you," Luke stated. "Now Luke, don't volunteer me without asking me first," Rayanne chided. She looked around, but the train seemed to be empty. "Looks like it may just be the three of us; four if you count the egg," she stated. "Hopefully someone else comes so we aren't the only noobs," Luke said. Rayanne frowned. "You've been on the internet all night again, haven't you?" she asked. "Mayyybe..." Luke answered sheepishly.
Rayanne held her head in her hand. "What am I going to do with you?" she asked. "Keep me away from caffeine?" Luke suggested. Luke was becoming much like a second son to her. She definitely felt like she was taking care of a kid again. To be fair, he was only a few days old. "I wonder how long that egg is going to take to hatch. We're going to need to hang on to something soon," Luke stated.

Kira arched an eyebrow at the woman's next comment. "Well, it was already getting pretty weird anyway." she pointed out. "But wait, how do you know anything about this? You and that boy look completely normal. Has something like this happened to you, too?" Her gaze switched between the woman and the boy as they seemed to have a discussion of some kind, and judging by their mannerism, Kira thought that they were mother and son. "I'm not quite sure I believe you, though. I mean, I found these devices," she took the two strange electronic devices out of her purse and showed them to the woman and child. "I found them in a box someone dropped. I didn't want to mess with it, but I couldn't help myself. It was almost like that box was meant for me."
While listening to the duo's conversation, Kira stroke the top of the smooth object, switching her glance to whoever was talking at the moment. Nothing they were saying at first made sense, or was even registering to her. She needed help because of this? This was a strange occurrence, but that didn't mean that anything weird was going to happen. True, she'd never seen a real egg this size any other color but white, and they were usually as round as a beach ball. Oh, and they didn't magically come out of screens that someone finds in a random box someone dropped. It wasn't like she needed to learn how to take care of an egg that quickly, right? She reconsidered that thought and considered the circumstances. "She's right," she stated none the less. "You don't have to help me. I'm sure I can figure it out."
Of course, most of the time her methods didn't really work well, so there's that. "I hope this train doesn't get too crowded," she says. "I saw this in a movie once. There was a spooky room, and those that entered it never came out alive because there were these big scary monsters that showed up." Even though she wasn't one for being a chicken, Kira did tighten her grip around the egg a bit. This was a special event, and fear was at least somewhat warranted. "But, yeah. If they're not flesh eating monsters, I'd totally love for more people to be here. It's too empty."
Kira's eyes widened. "This egg is going to hatch?!" Her wide eyes glanced around the space before she started laughing under her breath a little. "Of course it will." she reasoned with herself aloud. "It's an egg. Eggs do that. But, anyway, what do you think it will hatch into?" There seemed to be a slight twitch, but she thought it would probably take a few hours to hatch if it was ready to. How how little she knew about Digimon...

"Like I said, an egg like that came out of the screen of my laptop. What came out of the egg messed with my phone while I hid it in my purse," Rayanne stated matter-of-factly as she dug into her bag. She pulled out her phone and showed the girl pictures of Luke in his Puttimon form with the mall's ceiling in the background, just as the egg begun to hatch. "If we see monsters, I doubt they'll be interested in flesh. Either way, this is going to be a lot to take in on your first day, and you most likely won't believe half of it without seeing it yourself," Rayanne warned. "Then again, I've never been to where this train's headed," she muttered.
"Just so you know, I'm not as normal as I look," Luke stated as he pulled back his sleeve, revealing what appeared to be a gold bracelet. "Before you say anything, it's not because I wear jewelry. Watch this," he told the girl. He focused, and soon a circular shield of light formed around his wrist. He would've created a sword or a spear, but he chose the shield to try not to alarm the girl. "It's solid too," he stated as he tapped it against a nearby pole.

"It messed with your phone?" Kira echoed as she dug her hands into her purse and checked if the devices in there were messing with her stuff. Everything seemed fine, but that seemed to be because she didn't have any electronics in her bag. "How can an egg mess with your phone? Are you sure it wasn't these things?" she brought out the two devices, unsure of what their functions were. "Electronics have that kind of effect on each other, don't they?" Then again, the egg came out of a screen, so maybe it was an electronic entity, but that theory needed to be analyzed further. After all, this wasn't a typically normal situation. Again, what the egg, or any of these objects for that matter, affect wasn't the biggest issue at the moment. Was it really a good idea to talk to a middle aged woman she never met before? Kira's mother told her never to talk to strangers, but it wasn't like she was four anymore. She was a teenager now, and practically an adult, so she knew she could tell if someone wasn't safe to talk to. Based on the fact that the lady was talking about strange occurrences, she would have thought that she was nuts, had it not been for the fact that an egg came out of the screen of one of her devices. Besides, since when did she listen to her mother?
"Wait, is that a head with wings?!" She tried to reason with herself that it was probably photo shopped, but it was hard for her to reason with herself. A head with wings hatched out of an egg? How was it breathing? And if it wasn't, why was it so happy? How did it even function without the rest of its body? Again with the logic. Clearly Kira had a lot to learn before she would have a real handling on this other world. There obviously was a rhyme or reason to it, but she couldn't see it yet. As she was thinking about this, cracks were being created from the constant pounding from the creature who seemed desperate to be freed from the incubator that kept it alive for this long.
"Are you sure?" Kira questioned, skeptically. "I wouldn't think that monsters would follow a pattern that humans create for them." Yeah, much like how she wasn't following the pattern her mother set for her. Huh. Maybe humans and monsters weren't so different after all. "Okay, I agree with you on that. I barely believe that this is really an egg. But how come you believe them?" She had to, right? After all, this lady wouldn't be telling Kira all this if she didn't. Then she considered where she was, and realized that the locomotive could move at any moment, and yet she didn't seem the least bit concerned with where she was going. "Uh, where are we going exactly?" Man, what was with all of these questions? Kira was supposed to know everything, and yet here she was, spewing out all of these random questions.
Kira could only stare at what the boy was doing in awe as the shield appeared. To be honest, it would have been because she thought it was very odd that a little boy would like jewelry, but then this piece of metal appeared, totally blowing her mind into pieces. Okay, so maybe the little boy wasn't quite as out of the ordinary as she originally thought he was, but what did this really have to do with anything? Kira just didn't seem able to connect the boy to the egg, not even considering there being a connection there. Finally, she felt the vehicle start to move in a steady fashion, starting off slowly as any locomotive would. This was a strange train. She didn't give a conductor her ticket or anything.
Suddenly, as the train started to pick up speed, her egg jolted really hard, this time grabbing Kira's attention. The moment she looked down at the egg, which now had a pair of eyes staring at her. Actually, the top fell off and another head, this time pure white and with bear like ears, was staring up at her with a cute smile on its face. This made her even more speechless, if that was even possible, before the little creature hopped out of the lower part of the egg to land on her lap. "Bo." the baby squeaked, causing the mesmerized teenager's eyes to widen. The head sounded like a baby. A human baby. But this thing wasn't a human. It was some kind of creature, right? What in the world... That was it. Her brain just died. There was no sense of logic, all she could do at that moment was stare into the adorable eyes of this baby polar bear type of creature. All sounds for the next few seconds were drowned out as she stared at the creature.
(Sorry for the late reply.)

The train whistle blew, prompting Rayanne and Luke to grab on to one of the metal poles. "I guess I should start from the top. The creatures that come from the eggs are known as Digital Monsters, or Digimon for short. They come in all shapes and sizes, and it just so happens that Luke here is one of them," Rayanne explained. Luke pulled down his hood, revealing the angelic white wings on his head. At this point, the train had already begun to move. "I could probably walk around without the disguise and people will just think I'm a cosplayer," Luke pointed out. "Anyway, as to where this train's headed, I don't think you'd believe me until you see it for yourself," Rayanne stated.
"She's got you there. If you told people that there is another world, would they believe you?" Luke asked. Today must be extremely surreal for her... first the Digivice, then the egg, and now this, Rayanne reflected. Of course things would get stranger. "In all honesty, the only reason why Luke and I are headed there is to look for my son and daughter who disappeared nearly a month ago. They're both around your age, twins in fact," Rayanne explained.

The white, squishy ball started bouncing around on Kira's lap repeating its first word over and over again. "Bo, bo, bo!" The white bear head nuzzled itself into Kira's belly, and then noticed the woman and the angel boy, nearly jumping out of Kira's lap in an attempt to run away from them. "Hold up! Calm down, will you?" The timid creature seemed to ignore the teen's suggestion and tried to get away from the strangers. "What's up with you? These two aren't mean people. She's just a mother looking for her children." Okay, so maybe she was paying attention to what the lady was saying. However, it seemed as though the white puff ball wasn't listening to what Kira was saying, since it was still trying to get away from them.
Finally, the tiny creature managed to use its small size to squeeze out of the teen's grip, but wasn't able to get too far from her, since her tiny stature didn't allow her to move properly while to train was moving. The tiny creature formed a terrified expression as she started rolling backwards, only to be stopped by Kira. "Are you ready to relax now?" The snowball timidly turned its attention back at the strangers, and then, unable to come up with any other way to escape, it started wailing. Tears rolled down its poor little face, and then it let out a cold breath instinctively at the Digimon boy. This even freaked it out, since she didn't want to get attacked, and the poor thing hid into Kira's purse, trembling.
Kira poked at the bag, but the creature refused to budge out of the purse. "Hey, there better not be any accidents in there." she warned obviously ignoring the real problem. "Bo." the creature muffled, rustling deeper into purse. Kira turned to the two that seemed to scare it, and she shrugged. "What do I do now?"

Luke thought about this for a few moments. Then he shined as he reverted to his Kyupimon form. Unfortunately since his clothes weren't data, he found himself stuck in his hoodie. Eventually he managed to climb out of the piece of clothing and began flying to avoid bumping into anything. "It's such a relief to finally be out of those human clothes," he stated. He then turned to the girl. "Well if we can't get her to calm down, my Angel Ring should get her to relax," he told her. As this was going on, Rayanne took her own D-Terminal out of her bag and began typing a message to Megan. As this was going on, Luke flew over to where the new Tamer was sitting.
