[ENTER FROM = And so it begins...]Although it felt like it took forever, it was only a short trip from Miyashita Park in Northern Shibuya to the Residential District in Western Shibuya in which Kirito’s apartment was located. After leaving the park and walking down the main road for about ten or fifteen minutes, he stopped at a bus stop where he waited a further five minutes for his bus to arrive. After boarding, he took a seat by a window and allowed Gummymon to climb out of his shirt and look out of the window at all the things that they passed. He would often ask a few questions about certain things like cars, bikes, shops, dogs and a few other things to and Kirito would promptly reply with an answer. They were lucky, other than the elderly couple at the front of the bus, Kirito and Gummymon were the only ones on this ride and they were on the very back seat. Even if the elderly couple were closer or within ear range, it’s not like they would have been able to hear anyway, they were old, they can’t hear properly, or at least this was Kirito’s theory anyway. When the bus came to their stop, Gummymon climbed back into Kirito’s shirt and he rose from the seat, stepping out of the bus and onto the foot path which was on the opposite side of the street to the apartment complex in which he lived. “Gummymon, this is where we live.” Gummymon looked up in awe. “That whole place is yours?” Kirito shook his head. “Remember what I said before? A lot of people live there.” He pointed up and squinted a little so that he was pointing at the second apartment on the right on the second floor from the top. “See that one? That is where we live. That is our home.” Gummymon was still in awe, his mouth gaping wide open and didn’t respond to his Tamer who had already checked for any traffic and made his way to cross the street.

Crossing the street and walking up the main path that lead up to the apartment complex front doors, Gummymon repeatedly poked his head out here and there to get a better look at the surroundings, taking in the entirety of the building. Although Kirito didn’t know this, Gummymon was doing it so that if for whatever reason that the two of them got separated, he would know what he had to look out for to know he was home.
Stepping inside, Kirito pressed the buttons on the wall by the reception that called for the elevator to come down to the bottom floor. It didn’t take long considering it was on the second floor, but when the doors opened, Gummymon jumped out of Kirito’s shirt and dived into the elevator. “Wow this is so cool, so this will take use to the floor where you live?” Kirito nodded and stepped inside, the elevator doors closing behind him just as he was about to reach for the correct floor number. Unfortunately he was interrupted by Gummymon who had jumped up and pressed every single floor number, causing Kirito to sigh and flop to the floor of the elevator. “This is going to be a long ride.” He complained.
Gummymon didn’t seem to care, he was too busy bouncing around in the elevator looking out of its glass casing to watch as they rode this contraption higher and higher. “Gummymon, don’t press all the buttons next time, okay?” Gummymon, still bouncing and fixated outside responded. “Why?” Kirito rolled his eyes and folded his arms across his chest, still sitting on the floor of the elevator. “Because now we have to stop on every single floor until we reach mine, it is going to take a long while.” Although he didn’t respond, Gummymon did acknowledge this just before they reached the first floor and he poked his head out of the elevator door to look around before being dragged back in by Kirito just as the doors were closing.

Finally reaching his floor, Kirito climbed up out of his position in the elevator and stretched outwards with his arms, holding the door open so both he and Gummymon could step out. “Now remember. Floor 14, second from the top.” Gummymon nodded and jumped up onto Kirito’s shoulder, he was just about to slide down into his shirt when he was stopped by Kirito’s hand. “Don’t worry, no one will be home yet so you don’t have to hide.” Gummymon nodded and crossed over to the other shoulder so that he could look off the balcony as they walked down the corridor to his apartment. “It’s awfully high.” Kirito didn’t respond and instead chose to keep walking in silence until he reached his apartment, fishing in his pocket for his house keys, hearing them rattle as he pulled them out and placed them into the lock. Turning and unlocking the door, Kirito pushed it open just in time to allow speedy Gummymon to jump down and squeeze through the crack. “S-slow down Gummymon!” He called after him, stepping inside and closing the door behind him.
After taking his shoes off at the door, leaving his bag on the coat hanger and slipping into his house slippers, Kirito finally caught up to Gummymon who was zooming, bouncing, jumping, flipping and spinning throughout the main living room. “Wow this is so cool! So this is a human home?” Kirito was finding it hard to keep up, his head moving with the direction in which Gummymon would head only made him dizzy and instantly walked over to the couch, flopping onto it.
After about half an hour of constantly buzzing through the entire house, Gummymon came to a stop and flopped on the couch beside Kirito who had already fallen asleep. He looked at his Tamer for a moment before smiling and moving in close to him so that he could cuddle next to him, using his arm as a pillow.

“Kirito?” A familiar voice called. “Kirito…” He rolled over onto his side, pretending to not hear the voice and refusing to open his eyes as he curled into a fetal position on the couch. “KIRITO!!!” The sudden shout of his name instantly woke him up and caused him to jump up out of his position, a cushion flinging into the air and plopping back onto his head. Slowly bringing the cushion down and peaking over it, he found his mother standing over him with a rather frustrated expression on her face. Kirito’s mother was quite beautiful and young, in fact you would think that she never gave birth to him with the way she took care of herself, completely trim and fit. In saying that that she was 17 years old when she gave birth to him so she was only 33 years old now and a lot of people from school often say he is so lucky to have such a young mother. She was wearing a pair of faded blue denim jeans, a white blouse which were both slightly covered by a pinkish apron. “M-mum!” Kirito glanced up at the clock that was just above her head in the kitchen where it informed him that it was now 6:30pm. He had been asleep for three hours and his mother was now home from work. “I ask you to do one thing for me today… What was it?” She asked, her temper still quite high. “Um…” He tried to remember what it was but it just didn’t seem to click. His mother rolled her eyes and folded her arms across her chest, taking note of the spatula in her right hand, her swinging hand. “I ask you to get the bean sprouts from the corner shop on your way home… Where are they?”
Slapping himself in the head with his own hand and dragging it down his face, he looked back to his mum with the most apologetic face he could pull. “I forgot.” Reaching behind herself, she began to start taking off the apron, her face seeming to get redder and redder with anger. “I can’t believe this, I am making your father his favourite meal tonight and the bean sprouts are the most important part. Now I have to go down to the market and get them because YOU forgot. Jeeze Kirito, your father is going to be here in an hour and dinner isn’t even ready.”

Kirito jumped out of his seat and walked over to his mum in one stride, placing both of his hands on her shoulders. “Mum I am sorry, don’t go. Keep going with what you are doing and I will go and get them.” Sighing, she nodded and stepped back, only to quickly bring up the spatula in front of his face and started waving it at him. “Just the bean sprouts and then come straight home. If you flirt with that poor girl at the counter again and come home late, this is going to go right across your butt.” She said, indicating to the spatula in her hand. Although she was smirking when she said this, she would have likely done this as well. She knew how much of a flirt her son was and how often it took up a lot of his time resulting in a lot of late arrivals, lost phone calls, no service areas and poor excuses.
Kirito smirked and climbed over the back of the couch towards the front door when he turned back to his mother with a teasing expression on his face. “Hey, if she wants to talk I am not going to stop her. My mother always said to be nice to girls and listen to their every word.” A grin formed across his face and the same grin crossed her face to as she leaped forward and smacked him on the shoulder with the spatula repeatedly but playfully. “Then be nice to this girl, your mother, listen to her every word and be back in fifteen minutes!” She continued to keep playfully smacking him with the spatula as he slipped off his slippers and put his shoes on, spanking him on the ass with it just as he opened the door. She turned away just as he stepped out the door and just as it was about to close, Kirito poked his head back in, smiling at his mother. “Mum!” She turned back to him to see what he wanted, looking at her sons smile as he said his next words. “You look beautiful today.” Rolling her eyes she threatened to hit him with the spatula again by stepping forward and raising it in the air. “Get going you sweet talker or I am releasing all of your baby photos onto the internet.” Kirito chucked and pulled his head back out of the door way, closing the door behind him.

Kirito was walking down the corridor of the apartment floor when he started to feel like he had forgotten something. He started to walk slower as he tried to remember what it was that he had forgotten, and when it had finally clicked, his eyes widened, he immediately turned around to start heading back to the apartment. “Gummymon!”
“I’m right here.” Gummymon was sitting on Kirito’s shoe looking up at him and with this, Kirito immediately bent down and picked the little Digimon up in his hands. “H-how, um…” Gummymon smiled. “Don’t worry. When I heard her arrive I quickly jumped off that thing you were lying asleep on and hid underneath it.” “It’s called a couch.” He stated before allowing Gummymon to continue. “When you started to leave, I followed closely but made sure to stay out of her view and when you poked your head back in, I squeezed through the gap.” Kirito couldn’t help but feel a little bad that Gummymon not only had to hide, but also because he had actually forgotten about him for a moment there. You would think that after the events that had taken place earlier, how Gummymon had come out of a computer, that it would be difficult to forget, but he just summed it up to thinking that maybe it was a dream.
“Thank you for hiding.” Kirito said softly, placing the little green Digimon on his shoulder as he turned back around and made his way down towards the elevator. “So is that one of the humans that takes care of you?” Gummymon asked and Kirito simply nodded in response. “She seems really nice.” Kirito smirked when he reached the elevator door and pressed the button, speaking again as he waited for it to arrive. “Yeah, she is great.”

After riding the elevator down to the first floor and exiting the building, Kirito began to start walking at a brisk pace towards the corner market which was quite literally on the corner of the street, less than a minute walk from his house. He figured that his mother had given him 15 minutes of generosity but didn’t want him spending anymore talking to the girl at the market. The girl that was usually working behind the counter was roughly the same age as Kirito with slick black hair that generally had a different coloured extension in it every week. This week it was a bright red. She was normally seen wearing a denim skirt that was innocent enough to reach just below her thighs, a white button up shirt and a set of white vans to go along with them. When he had arrived, Kirito looked at the girl behind the counter and politely smiled at her, making sure to linger there for a moment before proceeding down to the vegetable area of the store. She too had returned the smile and lightly waved at him with her free hand as she put through an elderly man’s groceries against the scanner.
It was when he reached the vegetable area that Kirito realized that he had forgotten about Gummymon again and looked to his shoulder, only to find that he wasn’t there. “I’m here.” He followed the sound of the voice to find Gummymon in his shirt again. “How long have you –“ He didn’t get to finish, another grocery shopper, a woman in her middle ages had just walked passed and looked at him strangely as she made her way to the fruit section of the store. “I moved here just before you enter this place. Is this a store?” Kirito nodded as he pretended to look at various things while waiting for something. “Stores are so different here than they are in the Digital World.” It was just at that moment that Kirito felt a light tap on his shoulder and immediately turned around to find what he was waiting for… The girl from the cash register. “Hi, can I help you find something?” She asked sweetly. Kirito, smirked back at her though in the back of his mind he couldn’t help but feel a little bad for not actually remember what the girls name was. “Yeah, you can but first. How are you?” She nodded and used her hand to flick a few strands of hair from the front of her face and tucked them behind her ear. “I’m good and you?” Kirito nodded in a way that expressed that he couldn’t really complain, mean while Gummymon had moved from his position in Kiriot’s shirt and was already sitting in amongst the vegetable, blending in with the broccoli and other green vegetables. He was carefully watching the social interaction between the two of them while eating some of the vegetables there on display, making sure not to eat the ones that were actually helping him blend in.

“So what have you been up to?” She asked, twirling her finger in a loose strand of hair. “Oh, you know. Chillin’.” He stated, acting calm and completely forgetting what he had actually come here for. Gummymon was still in the vegetable stands watching the interaction which he found was quite interesting for him to witness, but it was at this moment that he began to smell something odd and it wasn’t any of the food that he was surrounded by. “Oh right, I came here for something.” Kirito finally said, realizing that he had an actual mission he had to accomplish. “What was it again?” He asked himself. “Bean Sprouts!” Gummymon called out and both Kirito and the girl looked into his direction. The girl couldn’t see Gummymon who was well blended in with all the greenery, but Kirito could see him perfectly and was frozen, his eyes wide at Gummymon who had just realized that he had spoken out loud.
“Who said that?” The girl asked, trying to see where it came from. Kirito, trying to think of the best plan of action to interrupt her before she found his new Digimon partner, quickly placed a hand on her elbow which resulted in her turning to face him. He smiled at her and looked her in the eyes, his smoothness kicking in. “Actually, now that I think about it… Bean Sprouts would be good. Especially if a pretty girl like you can tell me where they are.” He continued to smile at her and she nodded, a little shy and blushing as she allowed her hair to fall over her face a little. “Oh, they are over here.” She said, pointing over to the next isle. Kirito turned and allowed her to pass and he too began to follow, only to turn back to Gummymon who had a piece of broccoli in his mouth and gave him a stare that indicated to Gummymon to follow and stay hidden. Gummymon, acknowledging this, leaped out of the vegetables and onto Kirito’s shoulder, slipping down the front and into his shirt again.

The girl led Kirito to where the Bean Sprouts were and handed him a packet. “Here you go. Is that everything?” She asked. “Yeah, that is it.” Kirito said, nodding lightly as they made their way to the cash register. “That will be $2.” She stated, holding out her hand after scanning the product. Kirito reached into his pocket and pulled out the required change, handing it over to her, using his free hand to take hold of her wrist. She jerked with her arm a little in surprise, looking at him as if he was about to do something absolutely awful to her. Kirito reached forward and took the pen that was beside the cash register, clicking the little clicker on the side and began to write his phone number down on the palm of her hand. Once completed, he put the pen back and let go of her hand after allowing his grip to linger there softly for a moment before drawing it back. “See you around.” He said calmly, still looking at her as he began walking backwards smoothly and out the front doors of the store.
Kirito was walking back to the apartment complex with a large grin on his face. He and the girl had been going back and forth like that for about a month now and he finally gave her his number, which he was more smooth about doing than he had actually expected him to be. Shaking the thoughts from his head for a moment, Kirito looked down into his shirt to find Gummymon but all he could find was bare skin. “Gummymon?” He said out loud, concern rising in his voice after realizing that he has lost his Digimon once again. Assuming he was back at the store eating, Kirito turned around to go back, only to be stopped in his tracks to find Gummymon on the ground in front of him, staring off to the side of the store intensively. “G-Gummymon?”

Gummymon didn’t answer Kirito and continued to look down the side of the building with an ever increasing intensity. Kirito knelt down beside his Digimon and poked him in the side of the head, but the little green Digimon didn’t give way, he wouldn’t break his focus. “Gummymon, what is going on?” He asked, moving slightly so that he was now directly over his Digimon and lowered himself to his level in an attempt to see what he was staring at. To anyone walking by, this would look incredibly strange but considering it was after 6:30pm, there were very few, if any, people around. At that moment, the sound of a trash can being knocked over could be heard and Gummymon sprung into action, dashing off and hopping over a set of garden beds. Not quick enough to react, Kirito climbed to his feet and began giving chase to his Digimon, running down the side of the corner market to see his Digimon turn the corner into the back ally. It was dark, the only form of light in the area were the street lights and window lights of the other buildings. “Gummymon?” Kirito called out as he turned the corner, only to find his Digimon partner standing at the end closest to him… and another creature at the opposite, deeper into the dead end with a fiery flame atop its head.

“What the?” Kirito said out loud, looking at the creature that resembled a Halloween Candle. “Gummymon, friend of yours?” Gummymon didn’t say a word and lightly shook his head which made Kirito a little concerned, taking a short step back. “Well then maybe we should leave, he doesn’t exactly look friendly.” Kirito was just about to leave when he heard a sound come from his left pocket of his pants. Now normally he would have left the sound to ring out like he normally did with his phone, but this wasn’t his ringtone and after reaching into his pocket, he pulled out the small round device that had appeared along with Gummymon. He held it up and looked at the screen, not realizing that he was actually pointing it at the creature at the opposite end when he had pressed a button. An image of the same creature appeared on the screen with a list of information on it. “Candlemon. It’s a Rookie Digimon. His attacks are Paraffin Paralyzer and-“ Kirito didn’t get to finish reading the second attack out loud when the enemy had already started using it. “Lava Loogie!” A bright flame fired out of its mouth that shot through the ally towards Gummymon who had just hopped back so that the flame would collide with the ground in front of him. “Gummymon, what is going on?” Kirito asked just as Gummymon had jumped back. “I forgot to mention.” Kirito perked his ears to hear what Gummymon had to say. “There are also bad Digimon. They aren’t all as cute and cuddly as I am and they will attack on site sometimes.” With that said, Gummymon took in a deep breath and shot out multiple bubbles from his mouth that traveled through the air towards the enemy Candlemon. “Double Bubble!”

The bubbles sprayed forward through the ally way and were almost upon Candlemon, but before they could hit, the enemy Digimon leaped back spinning, only to land back down again facing them. "Paraffin Paralyser!" Three clumps of hot wax had shot off of the candle's body and looked like they were about to collide with the bubbles, but instead, the bubbles dissolved into steam as the hot wax continued to pass through the air.
Gummymon managed to dodge all three clumps of wax but Kirito wasn't so fortunate, he wasn't expecting them to reach as far as he was and to of them had landed straight onto his shoes that quickly melted over them and onto the ground. The third clump had landed harmlessly on the ground in front of him. "Wax?" Kirito said, just about to take a step back to shake it off of his shoes but was unable to move. "What the?" The wax had melted all over his shoes and stuck to the ground beneath, making it impossible for him to move. "I-I can't move. I'm stuck!" He stated, Gummymon turning around to look at his Tamer before turning back to the enemy Digimon who was already heading straight for them.
Gummymon leaped forward at the candle, his horn straight forward in order to attack with it. "Tiny Poker!" He had called, only to be whacked away by one of Candlemon's arms at the last second. The tiny Digimon flung through the air until it finally hit the ground, bouncing twice before finally stopping by the brick wall at the back of the corner market. Wincing, Gummymon looked up to see Candlemon going straight for his Tamer and although all he wanted to do was move in order to save him, he was so sore from that one hit that it was as if he was paralysed.
"Gummymon!" Kirito called out as he watched his partner flung to the side as if he were just a piece of tissue paper rolled up into a ball. "Huh?" He said, turning to see the enemy Digimon coming straight for him. "G-Gummymon, what do I do?" He asked, fear rising up in his voice. "Run!" Gummymon said, barely able to get the word out, but when Kirito had heard this, he immediately dropped to the floor and began untying his shoelaces as fast as he could so that he could slip his feet out and run.

Kirito began to panic as he was untying his shoelaces, constantly looking back up to see how far away the Candlemon was from him. By the time that he had managed to get one foot out, Candlemon was already standing over him, just out of reach for him to actually fight back. "Lava-" The enemy Digimon was already beginning its attack and pulling at his shoelaces as fast as he could, he began to start tugging with his foot in hopes that he could simply just rip his foot out of the shoe in time. Gummymon was watching everything and he too began to panic. Kirito and himself had only met and he refused to allow his partner to be hurt or worse within only just meeting, he refused to just lie there and do nothing. The tiny green Digimon managed to finally rise to his feet and began to approach them, moving slowly to begin with as he was still in pain, but when the situation started to turn dire with the enemy preparing its attack, Gummymon began charging in as fast as he could in hopes to save his partner. Realizing that this could be it, Kirito gave up on trying to release his foot and ended up just simply raising his arms in front of him, turning away and closing his eyes, ready to take what was about to be given to him. It was at this time that a strange light shot up from beside him, kind of like a signal beam and when he lowered one of his hands to it, he realized that it was one of the items he had found with Gummymon. He had it in his hand from when it had scanned the Candlemon and had placed it on the ground beside him when he started to take off his shoes. The light diminished, but only for a second, when all of a sudden the same light engulfed Gummymon like earlier that day. "Gummymon Digivolve to..." The enemy didn't take any notice and was still proceeding with his attack, its eyes glued upon Kirito. "Loo-" Kirito had actually forgotten about the enemy, his attention being turned to the light that had engulfed Gummymon. "Terriermon!" The light that had Gummymon inside shattered like glass, to reveal a totally different creature than before. In fact, Gummymon was more of a rabbit now. "Bunny Headbutt!" Gummymon's new form leaped forward from his position, his head held forward as it bashed into Candlemon's ribcage from the side, sending the enemy Digimon sideways into the opposite brick wall. "Y-you changed again." Kirito said, surprised to see Gummymon in a new form. The new Digimon landed in front of Kirito with his back to him, fixated on the enemy Digimon. "That's right. You were in trouble, so I Digivolve to save you." He stated, watched as the Candlemon began to rise back up to its feet. Using this chance, Kirito picked up the device that was on the ground and held it up to the new Digimon, allowing it to scan before reading the information out loud. "So this is Terriermon, a Rookie level Digimon with three attacks. Bunny Blast, Terrier Tornado and Bunny Headbutt." Smirking, Kirito looked up at Terriermon again and with complete confidence within his partner, said: "Go get him!" Terriermon giggled a little before nodding and charging in. "You got it!"

Terriermon charged in for another attack, leaping in at the last second with his head forward just as Candlemon finally got back to its feet. "Bunny Headbutt!" He called, thrusting his head forward to collide with Candlemon's own head, bashing hard and knocking it back down again, but this time when Candlemon went down, it flicked its lower body upwards so that it would tumble backwards into a standing position but at the same time, knocked Terriermon up into the air. Kirito had returned back to his foot and finally managed to get it out of his shoe, only to look up just as Terriermon was sent into the air. "Terriermon!" He called, concerned for his Digimon partner and stood upright himself.
Flung into the air, Terriermon expanded his wings to use them like a parachute, positioning himself in mid-air before flicking his body around into a spinning formation. "Terrier Tornado!" The speed in which he spun increased rapidly until his entire body was a green tornado, only to stop suddenly to release the tornado as a projectile at Candlemon while he safely began to descend out of the sky like a parachute.
The tornado struck home, engulfing Candlemon and lifting him into the air, the two Digimon passing each other as one went up and the other went down and as soon as Terriermon's feet touched the ground, he drew in a deep breath, a green light forming in his mouth as he did so. "Bunny Blast!" A large ball of green energy shot out of Terriermon's mouth, his own blasting power was a little unexpected and sent him backwards onto his butt due to the recoil. The green blast shooting through the air then collided with the mid-air Candlemon just as the tornado had subsided. The blast exploded in a green light which then caused the Candlemon to disperse into tiny pieces of data. Terriermon climbed back onto his feet and held his chest out, the data in the sky swimming down to him which he promptly absorbed.
Kirito was standing there with his mouth wide open, his eyes glued to the scene and completely frozen, amazed with everything that had just taken place. "WOW!" Kirito exclaimed just as Terriermon turned to face him with a smile. "Pretty cool huh?" Kirito nodded, turning his attention to his Digimon partner. "So its Terriermon now?" He asked, kneeling down barefoot so that he was at a reasonable height to Terriermon. "Yep!"
Just at that moment, the back light to the store turned on suddenly and a voice could be heard coming from the other side of the door. "I could have sworn I heard something." Realizing that there was someone about to come out to inspect the noises they had heard, Kirito immediately straightened up and began running barefoot out of the ally in which they were situated. Terriermon quickly followed, leaping up and onto Kirito's back, holding on with his hands and ears as he peered over his Tamer's shoulder. Because of the sudden weight, although it wasn't a lot, Kirito had almost fallen forward unexpectedly as he turned out of the ally, regaining his composure and exiting just as the back door opened.

Walking along the side of the street towards the apartment complex, Terriermon was still on Kirito's back and holding onto his shoulders. "Wasn't I cool back there or what?" Kirito smirked and nodded, looking at his Digimon partner from the corner of his eye. "Yeah you were, you really saved us back there." He turned through the main gates and onto the property of the apartment complex where they continued to the front door. "Thank you." He said, glad that Terriermon was there to save the day. Otherwise, he would have ended up being a human candle stick. Terriermon simply smiled and giggled a little before the entered the main reception area and waited for the elevator.
Riding the elevator up to his floor, the two of them stood there while Kirito suddenly realized something. "No offence Terriermon, but you aren't as small as you were before... I can't exactly hide you so easily now." Terriermon looked to his Tamer with a curious expression on his face. "Are you saying I am fat?" He asked with the most innocent tone in his voice. "No, I am just saying. You can't exactly hide in my shirt any more." Terriermon thought about this for a moment before replying. "Can't I just pretend to be one of those things the little girl was holding?" He asked with a thoughtful expression. "What?" Kirito asked, turning to his Digimon's direction. "Earlier when I first hatched at the park, there was one of those human girls who was holding a soft cuddly thing." Having to think back, Kirito finally remembered that after the egg had hatched into Zerimon, a young girl and her father had walked past them and the young girl was holding a stuffed bear, although it would look unusual for a young man to be carrying around a stuffed animal, it still kind of worked for their situation. "Oh that could work. We call them stuffed animals or dolls." Terriermon simply nodded, acknowledging the new information. "All I have to do is not make a sound and stay completely still."
The bell of the elevator rang and the doors opened to his floor. Kirito stepped out of the elevator just as Terriermon climbed over his shoulder and slid down the front of him until his Tamer had caught him. In doing this, Terriermon became almost completely stiff and formed a straight expression on his face which caused Kirito to laugh lightly when he looked down. "Yep, that will work."
The two of them approached the front door and Kirito opened it by the door handle, stepping inside and closing the door behind him. He began to take his shoes off when he realized that he wasn't actually wearing any after the recent incident. He inspected his feet for a moment, taking note of how black they were on the bottom before slipping them into his house slippers. While doing this, he noticed that his father's shoes were there, which meant that he was home early from work.
