Another Day, Another...Uh. Topic Title. [Open!]

It was late afternoon by the time Scout found himself back on the bench next to the Shibuya River. As gross as the water was, he liked to come here to think, as though the presence of the hidden portal somehow gave him inspiration. He was a boy with a lot on his mind. Too much. Especially after that nightmare. And it shows on his face! He's not the overly-happy boy any local might recognize.
It'd taken more than an hour to convince BlackAgumon to stay back at the apartment, so he could get a little space. Frankly, he hadn't thought it through.
He was more than a little lonely.
This wasn't the first time he'd done this, either. Every time he went off to think, he'd end up lonely and miserable within a couple of hours. And so he sits in the chilly afternoon air, scrolling through the screens of his D-Scanner, trying to work out what to do. Find someone who might need help? Try to find another spir--hnh. No. Not after last time. Not yet.
So, what? What was he going to do?
If only someone would come by and provide a distraction.

Dante is walking down the path next to the river. He is looking for this mysterious tamer he has heard about. Dante notices Scout sitting on the bench. Dante recognizes him from somewhere, but doesn't see a Digimon with him. Dante takes a closer look and sees Scout's D-Scanner. Maybe this tamer knows something. Scout looks lonely and sad. Dante has felt that way many times. He knows what it is like to be lonely, the internal pain that you just can't shake off when it comes around. Dante decides to approach the tamer for a chat.
"Hey there, want some company? I'm a Digimon tamer like you." He grabs his digivice and shows it to Scout. Dante looks at Scout's eyes. He can see the pain in his eyes. He doesn't know much about this boy, but it is clear that something is weighing heavy on his mind. Dante only recently became a tamer, and is having a rough time trying to understand his role as one. He knows the only way to become a better tamer for Wormmon is to work with other tamers. |

Scout looks up, giving a small smile, as he does whenever anyone speaks to him, "Oh, hello. Oh," He looks at the D-Scanner, "I'm not a Tamer. I'm a Spirit User. I change into a Digimon," He can hear BlackAgumon chastising him for telling someone else again, right off the bat.
Sigh.
"Take a seat. Please, please," He shifts his slender frame along the bench, as if it were somehow necessary. His smile grows a little, "I'm Scout, and you are?"

Dante smiles and sits down on the bench. "I'm Dante, a new Digimon Tamer. I don't know much about, Spirit Users." Dante is happy to meet a Spirit user for the first time. "It's difficult. Trying to learn everything about Digimon as fast as possible. There's so much I don't understand about them." Dante hears the water in the river passing by. The soothing sound has a timeless feeling to it. Like the stress from life pauses for a moment.
"Hey, have you been to the Digital world before? I haven't been yet." |

"Oh. Well, there's not too much to learn about Spirit Wielders. We just transform, instead of having Digimon partners, yeah?" Scout tries to help the new guy out. He knows it can be tough at the start! "And don't worry, I picked everything up pretty quickly, so surely anyone can," He gives a short laugh.
"I have, yes. the Digital World is awesome, I've been maybe a dozen or so times. Don't go alone though, especially the first time. It can get dangerous, especially when you don't know your way around!" At least it's useful advice, this time.

"I guess when you put it like that, it doesn't sound so bad. It's just been a crazy week." Dante tries to imagine what the digital world is like. Vast areas of snow and desert. Gigantic trees, data files. And what sort of powerful Digimon could be around the corner? "Well then, maybe I can go with you next time you go to the Digital World. What kind of Digimon have you battled there? I haven't battled much with Wormmon, and I don't know if I can keep them safe. I know it's the Digimon that protects the tamer, but Wormmon can't digivolve any farther right now. They feel left out from other Digimon."

"Um. A Gomamon, three Guilmon, a Tyrannomon, two Biyomon and three Allomon. I try not to fight though. I prefer to talk, rather than use my fists. I'd be happy to come with you some time, though. I'll give you my number so we can sort something out," He offers with a small smile.
"Besides. It's an equal partnership. You protect them, and they protect you. As I understand it. You share your power. Don't ever think one of you is doing more than the other. You have a bond!" He grins.

Dante smiles. "Thanks, Scout. I can't wait to finally go to the Digital World." Dante stands up and stretches his arms and shoulders. "Well, I guess it is time to be heading back. Got to check up on Wormmon. I'm spending all my yen on cheeseburgers for the little fella."
Dante starts to walk off, but stops and turns around. "It was great talking to you, hopefully things start to pick up for the both of us." Dante walks down the path. Several dark colored birds fly off into the sky. |
