So here's the thing. [Chiyoko/Whatever/Whoever/You?]

Terminus City is the best place in the Digital World. That's an opinion that both Scout and BlackAgumon share, and ever since Kai told them about Trailmon Terminal, they've been visiting almost every day, after Scout gets out of school. Sometimes overnight on weekends!
That's where they find themselves today, milling around one of the plazas in the city. It's a saturday, late afternoon, and things seem...remarkably slow. Not many Digimon about, and very few humans. Scout takes the opportunity to spend a little more time in his newest form, adapting to how he needs to move in it. "Charge and Up. Digivolve to...Agunimon!"
An aura of crimson flames envelops his body, which appears as little more than a silhouette. The data that comprises his clothing is torn away as his body stretches upwards, maintaining roughly the same shape. Large red and gold armored plates attach to his six-and-a-half foot tall form, as a long mane of golden hair suddenly cascades down his back.
Because he's worth it. Or whatever.
The flames die away. A few nearby Digimon give him a look or two, but Spirit Users pass through Terminus all the time, so he's hardly unique, or even noteworthy. The tall bipedal black reptile next to him adjusts the training belts on his arms and shakes his disproportionate head, "Why do you always yell when you do that, Kid? S'like you want the attention. How're you not used to that yet, anyway? It's basically the same as your own body,"
Agunimon's voice is a little rougher, and slightly higher in pitch than Scout's, "Yeah, well. These plates are heavy. And I'm taller now. And all...muscled. It's very disorienting,"
The two sigh, in unison, and eye the plaza. Adventure. Excitement. Food.

As far as Chiyoko knew, there was a pretty clear dichotomy here in the Digital World. There were two types of beings coexisting here: humans like her, very much in the minority, and digital monsters of all shapes, sizes, and temperaments. There didn't seem like any room for in-betweens, even if some of these Digimon almost looked human in their own right. Even that name, Digimon, made them seem like something completely different. They weren't flesh and blood like her or the animals in her world, but made of ones and zeroes instead. They couldn't be more different, right?
Then how did that human just change into a Digimon?
It was impossible to ignore Scout. When someone shouts about how they're "digivolving", they tend to catch your eye. Whatever had happened to him, though, Chiyoko knew it wasn't ordinary. Not when he self-immolated, stretched at least a foot taller, and grew some really gorgeous hair. Chiyoko looked from Scout, then to Big Blue, and then between the two constantly as if looking for help in processing what just happened.
"So wait, that's a Digimon?"
"Yes."
"I thought that was a human."
"Yes."
"So wait, which is he?"
Big Blue paused for a while, then shrugged. "Both?"
Chiyoko gave up on asking any further. Just one day here, and she was somehow even more hopelessly confused than when she first arrived. It didn't help that her only guide so far was, for lack of a better term, pretty laconic. With no other way of finding answers, she settled for just continuing to sneak looks at the boy (man?) and his travelling companion. Was that a partner? Was he able to both have one, and turn into one? Would she be able to do that someday?
It seemed there was a new question being raised every hour for poor Chiyoko.

Ooh! A person and a thing!
Scout, or Agunimon, or whoever he is right now, spots them! Humans aren't exactly ultra-rare in the Digital World, but they're still nowhere near as common as Digimon. And right now, Scout can only see one, and there's a blue bug-like Digimon with her. Are they just friends like him and BlackAgumon?
Oh!
She could be a tamer like Kai and Kirito are! So that would be her partner! He performs an extraordinary leap, vaulting right over to them. Hey! He didn't screw up, this time! BlackAgumon sighs, and rubs his snout, before padding after the insane Digimon/Teenager hybrid.
"Hey! Hi!" Scout/Agunimon smiles at the human, "I think you're the first human I've seen here, today. Are you a Tamer?"
And so the questions begin...
"Kid. Remember. Keep it restrained," BlackAgumon reminds him, as he nears.

Chiyoko's jaw dropped as the man-Digimon-thing leaped high in the air. She took a few nervous steps back, but thankfully was not squished. The Digimon had stuck the landing and gracefully landed in front of them. Her eyes were wide from shock, and she pretty much ignored his question to ask "H-how did you do that?"
She regained her composure after a bit, but even after all of the shocking stuff she had seen today Scout just took the cake. "Yes. I mean, I think so, at least. Are you?" she asked, trying to hide the shock in her voice. Her embarrassment at her shock only made her sound more hesitant, forming the deadly cycle that she had grown annoyingly accustomed to at most social events.
Thankfully, Big Blue was there to make the save. "General," she specified. Were they really the first humans that this Agunimon saw all day? That was strange. There were usually at least a few running around Terminus at all times, and it wasn't like Chiyoko stuck out very strongly in a cloud. Still, this could be a pretty helpful meeting. Chiyoko was having some great luck meeting humans today, even if this one was a little bit strange.
"Where from?"

"I jumped!" Inside voice? No? Alright, whatever then, Scoutgunimon. He strikes a pose for a few long seconds, as Chiyoko recovers. Yeah, this form does weird things to him. Pose-striking, slight shouting, occasionally pausing to let his glorious hair blow in the wind.
Whatever.
"No, I'm not a Tamer. I'm a Spirit User. I turn into Digimon, instead of being partnered with them. Oh, this is my buddy BlackAgumon," He points to the reptile, who gives a nod, "He's, uh. Just a friend, we're not linked like Tamers are with their...yeah,"
BlackAgumon sighs again. He's noticed, lately, that he's sighed more in the last few weeks with Scout than he has in the rest of his life combined, easily. Utter nonsense. "Pleasure," he grunts to the two new faces.
"Oh! I'm Scout, duh. Manners," Strike a pose! "General, huh? That's a pretty fancy title! Do I get a title?" Scout looks down at BlackAgumon, who laughs in response, "Nothing I can say infront of polite company, Kid,"
Scout sticks his tongue out, and then chuckles as well, "Where am I from? Um. Shibuya. It's in the human world. Nice place, river aside. How about you two?"

That didn't really answer Chiyoko's question. Like, any of them. The only thing she was learning from this conversation was a multitude of goofy poses. They looked even sillier coming from such a big, mature looking guy. It was at that moment, even if she didn't know for sure, that Chiyoko had the feeling that she was dealing with a giant teenager.
"O . . . kaaay," she said, her confusion from this whole ordeal very apparent. "What's a spirit user?" She looked to Big Blue for help, but the KoKabuterimon just shrugged in response. It was on the tip of the giant beetle's tongue, but she just wasn't sure how to properly articulate what they were capable of.
The beetle turned to the BlackAgumon and gave a nod of understanding and sympathy. It was hard being a guide, and Big Blue wasn't sure if she'd be able to keep up with someone who had as much energy as Scout. Besides, it would've been rude to not acknowledge the other newcomer here.
"I'm from Nanto, and Big Blue-"
"Not here," she interrupted.
"I'm not really sure.
So, how did you get here? And how did you learn to do, well, that?" she asked in return.

"Oh! Well, we use, uh. Spirits. Like, fragments of Digimon Code. Yeah," Agunimon pauses, "We use fragments of Digimon Code to transform into those Digimon. They're usually all based around a single element for each person, from what I've seen so far," Which isn't much.
Big Blue is...right. BlackAgumon struggles to keep up with the often-hyperactive Scout sometimes. A boy who literally runs from place to place, as though the hounds of hell themselves were on his heels. Utterly insane. Although, it's rarely boring, so. There's that, at least.
"Oh, Nanto, hm? That's cool. Have you been doing..." Agunimon gestures all around them, "this long?" Oh! More questions! He likes those. "I took a train," He points over in the general direction of the Trailmon Terminal, "It's a lot less suspicious than the River Portal I guess. How, uh. How about you?"
BlackAgumon takes the opportunity to sit down next to the group, since he has a feeling there'll be more running and jumping before too long. Bluuuuuh.
"Oh, um. It just kinda happened when I got my Spirit and stuff. I've been collecting them since and...well, I guess it just gets easier with practice. You just have to load the right data and exert your will or whatever,"

Chiyoko had to admit, she didn't really understand any of that. However, it at least helped clear up a few things about how this world worked. It confirmed her suspicion that these weren't flesh-and-blood creatures, if the name "Digimon, Digital Monsters" wasn't enough. It showed that some people could turn into monsters, if monsters meant guys with awesome hair and abs you could grind meat on.
Sometimes, it felt like the definition of monster really got stretched around these parts.
Still, it was certainly an impressive trick! It sounded like a specific type of tamer, so Chiyoko wasn't sure that kind of thing would work for her, but it would've been really cool if she could. Maybe this whole general business would come with a few cool perks and tricks of its own down the line, too.
"Not at all," the girl admitted, frowning slightly at the question. "This is my first day here, and it hasn't been more for a few hours. It's been really, really confusing so far. I took a train too, or at least I think it was something like a train. I mean, it spoke, but other than that I'm pretty sure it was a train." The fact that she was homesick about this went unsaid. She didn't want to admit it, especially when she was immersed in this new world full of new sights, but there was no other real way to describe how she felt. Things were just way too confusing in their current state for her.
Of course, the mention of a river portal was interesting to her. Kai had mentioned it before, too. Was this the friend that he mentioned? "Do you know Kai, Kuro, and Shiro? They showed me around for a bit before. It helped, a little, but all of-" She repeated Scout's gesture. "This can get a little overwhelming."
Also overwhelming was the fact that she missed Scout's name in all of his talking. She blushed slightly at her mistake, quickly adding Oh, sorry! My name's Chiyoko, by the way!"

“Ah! Nice to meet you, Chiyoko. Uh. Yeah! I know Kai and his partners. I met them a while back. They're good people and...uh. Digimon,” Well, words don't seem to be Agunimon's forte. “Did I mention? Uh. Probably best to be polite and on the safe side,” He offers a small bow, “Scout Evans, it's nice to meet you,” You already said that. Stop.
“As for the train you were on, that was Trailmon. They travel back and forth between Shibuya and the Digital World. I think they travel all over the Digital World too...” He pauses, thinking for a few moments. Which, naturally, seem like hours to him.
“If you have any questions though, or want to know where anything is, I'm sure I can help! I'm not as smart as Kai is, but I've managed to get a pretty good handle on all this stuff,” The Flame Warrior offers a smile. Erk.
