“T-Takun?” Takahiro blinks, cheeks going bright pink as Scout almost chokes on his food. Takahiro doesn't seem to mind the name... Surprised by it, maybe. Petermon eventually seems to grow bored, and floats off to Takahiro's room, seemingly to rest. Or...whatever he does.
“Huh. You were in the Digital World before you even had a Digivice. Go figure,” Scout smirks, “That's pretty wild. Maybe you slipped there when you were sleeping, or...projected yourself somehow. Never heard of anything like it!”
...How is he finished already? Ugh. Greedy boy.
Takahiro finishes a few minutes later, “Th-that's pretty atypical, I agree. Uh. We should talk about registering you tomorrow, too. Let's...not, uh. Let's not get into th-that just now, just...don't disappear tomorrow, okay?” he grins.
"Yeah. I was playing chess on my phone the night before and I guess I fell asleep. Had this crazy dream, woke up late for school with an egg in my lap. I never noticed my phone wasn't my phone until I looked at it here. First time all day. I guess you know the rest." Shichiro blinked at Takahiro's strange words. He'd been a little slower to finish his food with all the talking he'd been doing. "Register us? Like, with the government? Is there some sort of crazy government cover-up like the Americans are always yelling about?" Kid, what TV are you watching.
"Why would I disappear?" He got a half-suspicious look on his face. "Should I want to disappear? Did I break a law or something? Forget to go through Digital World customs?" Are you making jokes, Shichi? Are you nervous?

“Kinda? Um. I, uh. I kinda work for...some people who...uh. Who deal with this stuff. I'll take you tomorrow if you like. You can get into trouble for having an unregistered Digimon. Um. S-so we should...uh. Should look into that, yeah?” Takahiro offers a friendly smile as Scout excuses himself to go set up the TV and such.
Takahiro watches him leave, “...Oh. Uh. N-no. I was just...joki--oh, so were you,” MORE BLUSHING. “You, uh. You got me,” he laughs, “I'm, uh. D-definitely glad I invited you back to play chess, then. I can't imagine what...what might've happened if Gawain hatched in your room,”
"I would have died from shock and my little brother would have found him and thought he was a cool toy probably. I guess if we could get into trouble I should probably register him. There's not, like, a fee or anything is there?" And then something occurred to him. Something kind of surprisingly, actually. "So this kind of thing happens a lot? How many kids are there with digimon out there? Is it just kids?"
"And what's digivolving? Gawain mentioned it earlier."

"Mmm. N-no fee. You should, um. F-figure out if you're going to hide him from your family somehow, too," Takahiro goes to put the dishes in the dishwasher as he speaks. Laaaaazy. "Dozens? Hundreds m-maybe. Maybe. Uh. I know there are, uh. Some adults have partners too, but it's mostly kids that get chosen, yeah. I dunno why,"
He turns around holding his forefingers infront of his mouth like little fangs, "Maybe our blood is sweeter!"
"Well there is Myotismon," Gawain's cultured voice said thoughtfully, mostly drowned out by Shichiro's fit of giggling. The whole situation was just insane. Completely ridiculous. He stood up and moved to help Takahiro with the clean-up, sorting dishes and silverware into the sink and discarding what trash had accumulated. It wasn't much. "I don't know what I'm going to do about my parents," he admitted to his friend quietly. "What if they don't want him around or something. I mean, they're pretty understanding. But 'Mom, Dad, this is my digital soulmate that hatched from an egg that popped out of my phone that isn't a phone anymore?' It's a lot to take in."

“Oh. You...mm. Sorry, I forgot. Digimon gain the ability to Digivolve as they gain power. Um. S-sometimes it's temporary. They, uh. Ch-change forms. Stronger bodies. Sometimes it's permanent. Sorry, whoops,” He blushes. He missed a question?! “He can always stay here when it's, um. T-time for you to go home, I guess. If they, uh. If your folks don't want him there,” He crosses to Scout's room and knocks on the closed door.
“Just a sec!”
Ooh, time for one more question if you've got one, Shichiro!
Apparently questions aren't allowed in Scout's room.
Gawain bowed his head to Takahiro, and again a little lower to Shichiro. "I shall retire for one of those naps I mentioned sire, but I will listen should you need me. I shall never be far." He clinked down the hallway with soft metallic steps to slip into Takahiro's room. Maybe he was going to make friends with Petermon or something. "Good night Gawain," Shichi offered. Wandering over to Takahiro, his gaze was thoughtful. "So there's this Digital World the digimon come from. Could I visit again, go back to this Battleground? I want to know who was on that other cliff..."

Takahiro opens his mouth, and then pauses to think for a moment, “O-of course. Uh. It might take me a few, uh. A couple of days to find it. But I'm sure it can be done, and we can get out there. But the Digital World itself is easy. I can, uh. Take you tomorrow, after we visit DATS,”
“I said a sec, not an hour!”
Takahiro sighs, and steps inside. Thank Whoever that impatience isn't hereditary...
"That would be cool. It's the weekend and Dad told me to hang out as long as we want, so. I think he's just glad I'm making friends again," he admitted with a pink tinge to his ears. Boy that happened a lot in this house. With Scout hollering for them, he was apparently waiting. Shichi followed Takahiro into the room, head reeling from a swiftly-rearranged understanding of reality as he knew it. But, he had three new friends and a night of bad anime ahead of him. All in all... things were looking better than they had in a long time.
