Clouds drifted across the sky as a tired Ko Tsuzumi walked down along what was once the great Shibuya River. It was a shame that it was now just a large heap of trash. Ko could barely believe that the local government was taking no measures to even try to remove the trash. Ko shuddered at the thought of how quickly the ecosystem of the river must have died off as a result. The smell of the river wasn't too terrible, though he was only down near the trash because he happened to be walking the family dog. The average sized, black and white fluffball insisted on walking along the smelly heap to indulge in the various scents that were coming from it.
Ko looked up at the sky and felt a cool breeze roll across Shibuya. He wondered if his life would ever pick up and become any more excited. Since graduating from university a few months prior, Ko's main focus was on gaining a job. His motivation and determination slowly dwindled as time went on and he ultimately gave up hope. He decided he would look casually and deal with things as they came. He couldn't really complain though, as his parents were allowing him to stay with them until things came along. He would just have to put up with taking care of their elderly dog in the mean time. Ko noticed from a tug on the leash that his dog had stopped, bringing Ko back to the here and now. His gaze was brought back to the animal who had seemed to have found something.
Ko bent down onto one knee and ruffled the dog's fur asking, "What have you got there, bud?" Ko wrestled the object from the dog's mouth with ease and examined it closer after wiping the fresh saliva off of it. It appeared to be a small little gadget with purple grips, a few funny-looking buttons, and an antenna. The screen was dimly lit with a small pixel egg moving up and down on it. It seemed like it could be valuable, and judging by the fact that it was an electronic whose batteries had not yet died, must have been left there recently. Maybe it had been dropped by someone passing through? Though, there weren't many people that actually came through other than tourists and delinquents. Without another thought, Ko slipped the object in his pocket wondering if he could maybe bring it in to a pawn shop to get some money for it.

Upon placing the object in his pocket, his dog began moving forward again. He followed behind it for several feet until it seemed to become distracted again. This time, it was pulling him down toward the large river of trash. He pulled back but the dog began to bark. Was something in the garbage? It was very rare that the dog would bark at such things, so what reason could the dog feel barking was necessary now? "I suppose we haven't got any place to be. I'll put up with the smell if you'll just calm down a tad..."
Ko began to descend down the bank toward the garbage with the dog eagerly pulling him forward. Ko suddenly stopped when he saw trash rustle in front of him. His dog's ears perked up and it began to lower its head suspiciously. Ko pulled the dog closer to him and made a hand motion that he hoped the dog would understand to mean "stay where you are". Ko leaned forward to take a closer look and froze as the garbage began to rustle once more. From his pocket, a beep sounded from the device he had just recently picked up. He scrambled to try and pull the device out to find a way to silence it but it continued to beep. With each beep, the rustling began to follow. After shoving the device in his pocket, Ko took a step back and the rustling finally shook the trash around it until it began to fall and settle in a new formation.
Ko was now gazing at what appeared to be a very large, spotted egg. He leaned forward and laid his hand on the egg and it shook lightly. He felt a peculiar warmth emitted from the egg and pulled it up out of the garbage. He examined it a bit closer but had no idea what to make of it. He had the strangest urge to take it home with him but his sense of logic was telling him not to. Who knew what kind of thing would come out of this large egg? He thought it best to bring it in somewhere that could contain whatever came out like a zoo or some kind of biological laboratory. His thoughts were cut short when the garbage around him began to ooze a strange yellow liquid that seemed to be moving entirely on its own.
Ko began to back out of the garbage, still clutching the egg tightly in his arms. The slime began to converge into what seemed to be three different piles, similar in size and shape. The three slime piles began to shake and before he knew it, Ko was staring down three sets of glowing red eyes. The three slime creatures opened what seemed to be mouths and bubbles began to drift out of their mouth and toward Ko. One of the bubbles popped a good distance away from him but he was immediately ready to leave when he saw the liquid from the bubbles began to eat away at anything it touched. Ko slowly began to back away from the bubbles floating toward him and the three slime creatures that were staring intently at him.

Ko backed away slowly as the yellow slime stared at him menacingly. He clutched the egg tightly in fear. Beeping kept occurring from within his pockets, making him flinch each time. He was afraid to make sudden movements, expecting the creatures to attack once again or chase after him. He had to do whatever he could to keep them from leaving the river. He just needed a way to either get rid of them or to contain them. His best bet was to find a way to distract them and run. Unfortunately, there weren't many rocks or objects that he could throw.
Throwing the egg at them crossed his mind but he couldn't in good conscience throw something possibly containing a living creature. For all he knew, it would just spawn another one of the yellow creatures currently staring him down. He quickly lost track of the idea when the yellow slime began to spit more bubbles at him, this time almost having made contact with his bare face. He was so lost in thought that he almost lost some skin. He would have to avoid being so foolish if he were to escape this situation without getting acid burns from those strange, strange bubbles. The dog was letting out a low growl, causing Ko to lean down slowly in an attempt to quiet it. The strange yellow creatures seemed to care very little for the dog. Their eyes seemed to follow Ko with every movement he made.

Ko thought he was a goner. His face was about to be dissolved off of his body by these acidic slime creatures. Ko tripped backwards and onto his back. At the same moment in time, the egg began to crack. 'Oh no! I broke it!' Ko felt his guy twist, and was suddenly taken off guard by how much he now cared for this strange egg. It was odd but he decided to accept this new feeling and gripped the egg a bit more tightly against his chest. The egg began to start glowing faintly, though Ko dismissed this as his mind playing tricks on him. Up until a small green creature burst from the egg did he stop questioning it.
The green creature wriggled in his hands, thrashing to break free. Ko was worried for its safety. If he couldn't deal with the mean yellow slime, why in the hell would his little green one think it could? He heard more beeping from the purple device and fished it out of his pocket. It was blinking rapidly and had a small sprite on it, reminiscent of his little green companion. The small green creature, without warning, spat bubbles out at the yellow creatures who seemed to move backwards slowly. The creatures now seemed to follow the newly hatched green one with their eyes instead of Ko.

The bubbles from the green creature's bubbles popped loudly, forcing the yellow slime creatures to back up. The beeping from the purple device wouldn't stop so Ko began pressing the buttons furiously while tightening his grip on the green slime creature that was trying to thrash its way out to fight the yellow slimes. Suddenly, a projection appeared on the screen showing what seemed to be a crude sprite of the yellow slimes. He looked closer at it. ZURUMON, FRESH DIGIMON, Slime Type
"It was produced from the fusion of an extra-malignant computer virus and a computer hacker's evil desires. It operates its supple body skillfully in order to crawl across the ground. The substance that composes its body is powerfully toxic, and because it spews Venom-tinged Bubbles out of its mouth." --(Source; wikimon.net) "VENOM?! I AM NOT QUALIFIED FOR THIS!" Ko shouted aloud. He was panicked. There was no way that he and his green creature could face these things. They were far too dangerous! And he still had to get the dog home! He couldn't risk these creatures getting out into town though...he wished there was more he could do but he was out of options. Maybe he could come back later. He'd have to. The green creature continued to squirm more, making it hard for Ko to think. He whispered to it, 'Hey, buddy. Calm DOWN. It's okay. We just need to distract them so we can get away...' It seemed the green creature understood him and stopped thrashing. The yellow slimes began closing in again, spitting their acidic bubbles at Ko. Ko moved out of the way, narrowly avoiding the bubbles. The leash attached to his dog was severed and the dog ran off in the direction of Hachiko Square. Ko turned to follow it but the yellow slimes began spitting acidic bubbles in that direction, keeping Ko in place as his dog disappeared from sight. Ko was panicked. He lost the dog, he now had a small green slime to protect, and had three psychotic yellow slimes--er Zurumon, trying to melt his flesh off! Ko backed up, sweat dripping down his brow. The small green creature was spitting small miniscule bubbles into the garbage trench known as the Shibuya River. Ko felt inclined to follow the bubbles, feeling that it was a sign of direction. It seemed to be the safest, most efficient way to escape the Zurumon. He hoped the trench could be useful in slowing them down for his escape. Ko sprang into action, sprinting along the river. The yellow slimes began to pursue him and he felt his stomach knot up. Upon seeing a somewhat solid-looking pile of garbage, Ko vaulted into the river, wading through debris as quickly as possible. The yellow slimes effortlessly slithered through the trash in the most menacing fashion. Ko felt the trash get deeper and before he knew it he was literall up to his eyeballs in it. Everything grew dark as he felt himself and his green companion sink through the trash. Ko had no idea where the yellow slimes were but he had bigger issues now. He thrashed about in the darkness but he couldn't see a single thing. He drifted further and further down, darkness swallowed him and his now silent, green companion. /Exit/
