(I'd like to request bits, please!) "Why do I have to go? Why aren't you coming with me?" Elliot pulled his raincoat tightly over himself, trying to keep the pounding rain from overwhelming him. Explosive bursts of thunder still raged through his ears slightly, but it had gone on for so long that he had become far less startled by them. Each thunderclap was just another fact of the situation, just like the cold of the rain and the chatter of the crowds as they frantically shoved past each other. A few people shot irritable glares at Elliot and his brother as they lingered at the edge of the dock. Some just shoved right past the boys, rushing onto the boat to save their own hides.
"Mom needs you to go with her. She needs you to be strong for her," was Isaac's only response. His voice was caring but firm, and even as his brother worriedly held onto his wrist he slowly stepped away from the pier. "Don't worry about me. There's gonna be another boat for sure. I'll be fine. I always am."
By now Isaac should've known that those words only made his brother worry more. Elliot more tightly clung to his brother's wrist, the look in his eyes begging him not to go. "It's always been you and me, Isaac," the boy pleaded. "In California. In Shibuya. In the Digital World. I don't want to just leave you behind like this! I can't!"
"I don't care! You have to!" Isaac shouted in response, the anger in his voice almost as booming as the thunder in the skies above. "I'm not about to let you get hurt in this monsoon just because you're being stubborn. You're my little brother, and that means I'm protecting you whether you like it or not. So just go already, damnit!"
"Isaac, I-"
"Look. You'll get to see Dad again," Isaac choked out. The word felt like poison crawling out of his throat, but it was a sacrifice he was willing to make if it was for his brother. "Isn't that what you've been wanting for weeks? All you gotta do is get back on the boat. He's waiting for you. And for mom. I'm sure of it. But please, you have to go." He looked at his brother, imploringly, as he began to pull his wrist back. Limply, Elliot let go, hand falling at his side. He slowly turned away from Isaac and began walking back to the safety of the boat. There was a heaviness in his heart, but as he turned back to say something to Isaac he was enveloped in the swell of the crowd.
Isaac was fairly sure that could've been the last time his brother said that he loved him.
The boat pulled away, and Isaac knew it would be the last one to set sail. The storm was rolling in, ever closer, and no self-respecting sailor would risk the lives of innocents trying to tame those waters. Still, if lying through his teeth was what it would take to ensure his brother's safety, he knew it was well worth the sacrifice. Speaking of sacrifice, the time to face the storm head-on was coming. He ran from the crowds and rushed for the shores, flicking through the settings on his Digivice in a blind panic. Tape was set up to prevent entry, but by now the guards patrolling the shoreline were all gone as well. Without their physical presence the tape was just another barrier for Isaac to slide under.
He lifted his Digivice high, alone except for the sounds of the pounding waves. Neither the cunning of Yasyamon or the brutality of Devidramon would be enough to win the day. It'd take both. Channeling his A-spirit, the boy vanished in a flash of blinding light. Where he once stood, Samudramon was left kneeling. The dragon ronin held both blades in his hands as he kept stock-still, looking at the encroaching storm with a killer's intent.
The eruptions of thunder grew louder still, and more regular in their tempo. What was once an occasional bang was swiftly sounding like the march of an approaching army. With each crash another wave struck the shore, each bigger than the last. Soon the water was pooling at the Samudramon's feet, startling Isaac but never breaking his steadfast focus. The wind was howling, a series of distinct, ghoulish noises that eventually blurred together into a single, unforgettable cry.
SKREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEONK!
Isaac clutched his swords more tightly. He wasn't an idiot. He knew whatever was coming was more than just a monsoon, but he didn't expect a sound like that. It shook him to his core, and for a second he found himself wishing he ran onto that boat with Elliot. The thought passed rather quickly, however. He was a Spirit User, one of the few in Japan. He was one of the only people who had the power to stop this. Desperate to steel his nerve, he stared up at the clouds. Dark and heavy, they slowly began to settle into a dense fog. Through the fog, a silhouette began to form; 55 meters high and looking for all the world like a giant dinosaur. A Digimon? No. There couldn't be any that massive, could there? All Issac knew was that it was huge and it was getting closer by the second. He drew his swords, rising into a fighting stance and waiting.
Then the clouds began to light up. It was dull at first, a slight pinkish tinge dusting the stormy grey, but it began intensifying before Isaac's very eyes. Soon the clouds were stained a bright red, pushed out of the way by some unearthly force as if they, too, wanted to escape from the silhouette. As they parted, what Isaac saw left him reeling in shock. A humongous dinosaur loomed over the shoreline, spines and eyes burning a red more intense than anything Isaac had seen in his life. Equally red was the back of it's throat as it opened it's mouth, letting out another one of those hellish roars as energy began to surge forward.

The dragon ronin wouldn't stand against this storm alone though. Just as Isaac combined the traits of his human and beast spirits together to become Samudramon, a draconic figure of the west would also rise to join him in clashing with the terrible beast. She reached the roof of the closest empty sky scraper, megaphone in one hand and D-Scanner in the other. Already each of the various forms Alicia had assumed over her time as a Spirit User flashed before her eyes. Each one a representation of her Steel and adding their power to awaken her final totem, slumbering in the depths of the Digivice.
Lifting the mega phone, she breathed deep and loosed the closest approximation to a draconic roar she could while human. Amplified by the megaphone, it sounded as if another Kaiju had come up unannounced within the city itself. And it appeared the challenging fake-roar sounded mighty enough to draw the King's ire. The building stream of death was directed away from Samudramon and toward Alicia's position. She tossed the megaphone away and lifted her own D-Scanner, as it was almost time. Godzilla loosed his fury, dragging the atomic blast from the ground up through the building, which began to crumble and fly apart like a pile of sticks in a strong wind.
"I now invoke... my Strongest Steel..." Alicia mused as her perch started to break underneath her. She jumped from the sky scraper, visible even at this distance by both parties thanks to the naturally sharp eyesight Digimon enjoyed. Her Z-Spirit was finally awake once more and she felt its power infuse her. Not a moment too soon at that; the beam finished its quick obliteration of the building and looked to have devoured the young woman with it.
Appearances could deceive, though. And deceive the average watcher they would have. From the smoke and dust of destruction and new figure surged out on four large wings, beating upon the nuclear-scorched air and carrying the Dragon Knight onward. The chains loosed themselves from her blade, falling away as steel writhed and twisted. Light and darkness roiled and raged within, and ChaosSaberdramon let out a new, true roar of challenge.
"Spiral Madness!" Alicia called immediately after, returning fire with her own chaotic blast. The unleashed forces that balanced her seem to howl as the launched out from the blade, tracing a double helical path through the sky. Where Godzilla had failed to do more then cause a mess of the city with his first blast, ChaosSaberdramon's assault struck home, hammering one of the great reptile's eyes and drawing a pained screech from that cursed maw. For as strong as one's body may be, the eyes were always a less-armored, vulnerable point on the body.
While the behemoth reeled from the blast, Alicia pressed the advantage, flipping her cape up to reveal the cannon anchored to her back. It began to slide into place at her hip as she righted herself and charged energy. "Steel Ark Blaster!" the second roar came, accompanied by the retort of the cannon's fire. Again and again until Godzilla was bombarded by five volatile blasts, all impacting the dinosaur's chest as he recovered.
It was then that Alicia took the moment to swerve around and land at the side of her fellow Spirit User, straightening up to her full eight foot height. "You're a brave guy to be coming out to face that monster alone like this. Still, as the saying goes, two heads are better then one. What do you say? Shall we work together?" Unfortunately they wouldn't have much time to hash out details. Godzilla had recovered with his typical speed and ferocity. Infuriated by Alicia's assault, the King of Monsters began to pick up terrifying speed, charging the two dragon warriors down with the aim to trample them underfoot. His every foot fall sent small quakes through the area and even then seemed to merely echo the rage barely contained within him.

The call of another roar managed to snap Isaac's ironclad focus. He turned away from the rampaging Kaiju, only to notice a human standing on top of a building and making strange noises into a megaphone. The boy wanted nothing more to charge over and get her out of the way. What the hell was she doing? Didn't she know she was about to get herself killed? The jump-jets of the Greymon species primed, lighting up in a fire of green phosphorous as he desperately rocketed towards the building. He focused intently, pushing himself to go faster, faster, faster yet. Despite his strongest attempt, though, he was far too late. He could only brace himself as the atomic breath bared down on the building, incinerating it to atomized dust.
Surprisingly, it wasn't the shrapnel Isaac found himself having to worry about. Beyond a few particularly sturdy steel beams and minuscule wooden splinters, the majority of the house was basically reduced to vapor. No, the force of the beam itself was the real issue. Even without direct contact, the pressurized air smacked into Isaac viciously and left him pinned to the grounded. He was forced to take a knee and brace himself with his blades just to avoid being crushed under the move's overwhelming power. In that brief moment he considered his failure. The beast had already claimed first blood, snuffing out an innocent before he could even move in to engage in battle. He could only hope others had evacuated already, so a similar fate wouldn't befall them.
Then the beam finished falling, the sheer force of its impact knocking Isaac flat on his back. That's when he looked up and saw that the girl wasn't gone. In fact, she had changed.
He watched in awe as she took the fight right to the monster, blasting him with all matter of cannonades as he was left reeling by her powerful blade. As he reacted, Isaac knew there was hope. This monster was beatable, even if it was going to take a herculean effort. He slowly forced himself onto his feet as the other spirit landed near him, 12 feet of armor and pointy edges. "I could say the same for you. The hell were you thinking with that plan? How are you even alive?" he demanded, equal parts impressed and concerned with the girl. He had no clue if he had the guts to make a gamble like she did, but he was absolutely sure he lacked the talent to spin it into a successful win. "Still, you're right. I don't know how much of a chance we have to pull this off, but if we're a team we've got a way better shot at tipping the scales."
Then the monster began to charge. Plans weren't really Isaac's style. He was more about improvisation, and right now he had one hell of a pickle to worm his way out of. He turned to the girl, raising his voice slightly to be heard over the thunderous cacophony of the beast's footsteps. "Try and keep him running! I'm gonna see if I can shut him up." With that the phosphorous jets on his back lit up once more, sending the Samudramon hurtling into the air. He sheathed one of his swords, muttering chants under his breath as he gripped the other with all of his might. Slowly it began to glow red, energy crackling off of its curved surface. He had no idea if this was going to work, or if he'd be able to even reach the beast's throat before getting cut off. Nonetheless, if the other spirit user was as good at surviving at she seemed, he'd have just enough time to give this a shot.
The monster was even more monumental up close. Each of his green-black scales was the size of Isaac's head. His hands looked big enough to reduce him to mulch with a single grasp. The spines lining his back, swaying in and out of view with each footstep, shone more brightly than the entire city of Tokyo. But every beast had his weak point, and Isaac knew the throat was always a safe bet. He flew upwards and backwards, desperately trying to keep pace with the creature as he scaled up it's immense form. Finally he reached the pit of the throat, putting all of his effort into one vicious stab. "Sword of Seals!" he roared, jamming the sword between a pair of giant scales. The energy flowed from the blade to the beast, red cracks seeming to form along his throat. If everything went according to plan, that horrifying laser would be locked and unusable. The only question was for how long.
Unfortunately, that was far from the only tool in Godzilla's arsenal. With hands powerful enough to bare buildings he swiped for Isaac, the Samudramon letting out a yelp of shock as he thrusted himself downwards. Unfortunately, giant hands looked far easier to dodge than they actually were. While he managed to duck one claw swipe successfully, a second one aimed lower proved to be a direct hit. With that single, solid blow, the Samudramon was sent spiraling into the distance. His jets flickered as he tried to remain airborne, the dazed samurai not wanting to risk a fall over one hundred feet high.

Alicia smirked a little bit under her helmet as she craned her head up to look Isaac in the eye. She certainly noticed how he reacted to her display of aggression and power towards the colossal beast that had emerged. It didn't take a rocket scientist to realize that before the Samudramon was looking more like a soldier staring down a veritable firing line of enemies that accepted his fate then a warrior ready to fight for his home and family. Hopefully now she'd kindled some hope in his heart. And then the armor piercing questions came. They still had a moment before the scaly titan was upon them so she just came out and admitted the truth to the other Spirit User.
"I... uh... well... I wasn't thinking at all... By all rights I should be dead, no questions asked, but I seem to have this knack for not dying when I should." Thankfully, they were able to strike an impromptu alliance, and now they had to put it into effect. The ronin had taken off almost immediately, which left the knight to deal with keeping Godzilla busy for the moment. Nodding to herself, the Dragon Knight took off as well, firing another shot from her Steel Ark Blaster at the Kaiju's face.
With that impact, she managed to draw the King's attention once more, so he never noticed that Isaac was closing in and preparing to cripple his best weapon. At least, not until the Samudramon had landed the attack and formed its tell-tale mark. Pumping one fist briefly in victory, the ChaosSaberdramon's brief celebration was cut off as Isaac was smacked away like a little fly.
"Oh geeze..." Alicia mused to herself, before glaring. She pooled her strength into the chains, which became animated and started multiplying upon themselves over and over, rattling rather menacingly as they started to form the vague definition of a serpent coiled up to strike.
"Chaining Constriction!" she called, commanding her metal construct to lunge. The writhing mass of chains obeyed immediately, letting out a grating screech as the slammed into Godzilla's throat and wrapped around it, pulling tighter and tighter. The king more-or-less 'yelped' in alarm and his hands went to the chains, feeling his air flow get cut off. The titan was left flailing for a bit as Alicia maintained the power in her chains before yanking hard. A beast as large as Godzilla needed to gulp down a vast amount of air to meet the demands of its massive body, and the King himself was no exception to the rule. So, with even a short few seconds of constriction, the dinosaur had lost enough air to weaken him to the point were a sharp pull on his neck was enough to send him toppling to the earth, resulting in a satisfyingly loud 'boom!' as he hit.
it unfortunately didn't deal much damage, but this time that's not what the chains were for. Instead they were the set up to allow Alicia to fly in close and land by the monster's ear. "Here's hoping I rupture one of your ear drums and ruin your sense of balance, monster. Metallic Dissonance!"
She roared out, the new grating sound even louder and more destructive then what her fake serpent had unleashed. So loud and strong was the sound that it actually fired off a sonic boom down the King's ear, leaving the titan to shriek in pain. Alicia took to the skies again as Godzilla rose slowly. His steps weren't nearly as certain as they once were, though Alicia couldn't tell if that was just because its brain was still ringing from her Metallic Dissonance or if she'd actually done some damage.
Alas, she underestimated Godzilla's ability to operate like that. She was caught completely off guard as the king wheeled around and lifted its massive tail up over her head. Even as the shadow let her know what was happening, all she had time for was a half-swear muttered under her breath before several tons of reptilian tail swatting her to the ground and buried her. For the moment, it was up to Isaac once he returned to the battle to find the dazed King, and apparently no ChaosSaberdramon in sight.

Isaac regained control over his hovering just in time to see Alicia get buried. He swore a little in frustration. How in the world were they supposed to mount a coordinated offense if they kept getting picked off one by one? The whole point of teaming up was that they got to attack in unison, instead of just having a series of successively futile one on one fights. As much as he wanted to score some solid hits on the Big G himself, Isaac knew he'd have to run interference and distraction without getting hit. It would be the only way to ensure Alicia could get back up for some proper two-pronged striking.
He slammed his swords together, a green string of plasma snaking out between them. He plucked the string a few times to test its firmness before aiming it at the living colossus, a few arrows of atmospheric energy gathering in his other hand. "Phosphorous Bow!" he shouted, the green arrows letting out a steaming hiss as they fired one at a time. As he fired Isaac tried to fly in orbit around the beast, hoping to attack from as many sides and angles as possible. Isaac wouldn't be the knife cutting into his flesh, but instead the tiny itch that spreads like wildfire across his body. Harmless, but irritating enough to be a suitable distraction.
This was normally the part where the king of monsters would rely on its devastating breath weapon, but the red lines on its throat only seemed to glow more brightly as it tried, and failed, at using the attack. A few more gasping attempts lead to greater frustration, until eventually the monster gave up entirely on trying the attack. Instead it furiously stormed past Isaac, charging so hard that it nearly blasted the boy away with the sheer force of motion. Desperate attempts at bringing the creature back with more arrows to the spine were met with a distinct lack of reaction, and when Isaac tried chasing the beast down he found it impossible to keep pace. If he wanted to start tearing the city to bits, Isaac was powerless to stop him. Unfortunately, that was exactly what the beast sought to do. Fortunately, though, he only wanted one piece.
Doubly unfortunately, that piece was heading right toward Isaac.
The Samudramon could only stare in terror as the monster stalked to the city's outskirts, plucking up a suitably large building before returning back to the battle on the beach. Before he could even comprehend what was going on, the building sailed through the air with all the grace of a bag of cinderblocks. Panic set in, but quickly Isaac realized that if it was a building, it would have to have windows and doors. Naturally, when the building came closer Isaac dove into the first open window he saw. This was going to get interesting, really fast.
Normally, houses were built to be navigated easily. However, this didn't apply when said houses were being used as projectile weapons. Isaac had to throw up his hands to block flying pottery and furniture as he barged through the reception room of a humble office. A particularly heavy desk sailing at him was met with a desperate cry of "Oh hell no!" before being sliced in thirds with two swings of his blades. With the next room came a deluge of incoming computers, exploding into showers of sparks as each crashed into his armor. A toilet from the company bathroom smashed right into the side of his head, dazing him badly as he searched for the last door out of the building. By the time he exited the thrown home, he was covered in dents and dings from various high-velocity objects. It was nothing badly damaging, but enough to daze him.
In a way, that put him and the monster on the same page. The two moved in a circular fashion, neither willing to give the other an inch. Isaac hung uneasily in the air, while the beast's uneven footsteps kicked up waves at an irregular tempo. They stood like gunslingers in a western, each waiting for the other to draw first. Whichever means this ended up being through, Isaac sure hoped it didn't involve more projectile buildings. Thankfully, that didn't seem to be on the kaiju's agenda either. Instead it charged at Isaac, lunging forward with a fist raised to try and smash the dragon samurai beneath the waves. However, just as the fist prepared to drop, the monster suddenly stopped and shouted in pain. A smaller, white dragon, around 9 feet tall, hung next to the monster's other ear.
"Phantom Blade" Elliot proudly shouted, kicking up a sonic boom right to the ear canal with each swipe of his claws. As the monster angrily swatted at his ear, the Dynasmon swirled around the claw and swooped next to his brother.
"What are you doing here, Elliot?" Isaac demanded. "I told you to leave! I can't risk this thing hurting you!"
"And I couldn't bear the thought of you being hurt, either," Elliot replied. "I may be your little brother, but I'm a spirit user too. We're a team. And maybe together, we've got the power to make things better here."
"I had a feeling you wouldn't listen. But hell, you're here and that's that. And you've got a good point, too. Now let's do this!"
Until the dizziness passed, the king of monsters' offense dwindled greatly in accuracy. Instead, it made up for it in unbridled fury. The airspace around him was a mess of claw swipes, snapping jaws, and occasional tail swipes, making it almost impossible for either brother to approach. Instead they hung out of reach, Elliot in front of the monster and Isaac to its back. They watched and waited for an opening, trying to plot some sort of pattern out of the chaos. There was no time to count up, or synchronize. There was only the time to take an opportunity and seize it. Only when a wild haymaker set him off balance did the two brothers strike. Isaac swooped down to charge the back of the knee, while Elliot dashed for the bottom of his jaw.
"Wrath of the Wyrm!."
"Imp-act!"
In theory the plan should've worked out great. With all the force shoving one leg forward and thrusting his chin back, he should have been horribly imbalanced and forced to fall. Unfortunately, what the brothers failed to take into account was the king of monsters' other leg. His tail swooped down to brace himself in lieu of the pushed leg, while his other leg remained firm and strong. Instead of downing the beast, they only made him angrier. He turned his head back down, and Elliot could swear the monster looked straight in his eyes and grinned.
A headbutt from a monster many times one's size was like being hit by a speeding cargo ship. That was exactly the level of pain Elliot experienced as Godzilla ducked down and smashed him skull-first. The Dynasmon was left sailing skywards, flaring out his wings to try and catch himself. It worked, but the large cracks in his chest armor were a sign that this hit might have done some serious damage.

Alicia groaned as she shook the stars from her head and picked herself up from the tail swat she had received. That had been rather unpleasant, and her arm sported several dents that hinted towards the fact that she had been hammered down in such a fashion. Looking up again, she caught sight of both Isaac and a new comer Dynasmon. Seemed the two were related, or at least knew each other. Still they were quick to act while Alicia pulled herself back together metaphorically. She finished recovering right as the duo attempted to trip the nuclear titan and the Dynasmon got a face full of angry dinosaur head for their troubles.
"Okay... time to get serious." Alicia mused to herself. Time to apply some physics, specifically centripetal and centrifugal forces. She held her blade behind her and focused energy into it. Instead of letting the chaotic energy in her blade fly free, she was going to use another of her abilities to engage the titanic monster. One that, if she was correct in her assumptions, would deal a significant blow.
"Mercurial Chaos!" She called out, announcing her return to the battlefield as she swung her sword. Expending the energy charged into it, it grew immensely and wildly, reaching out for the King even from the fair distance away they had gone from her. And as it grew, Alicia was able to maintain her momentum even as the blade grew heavier with each second. Godzilla had no time to react as he could not see where the blade was coming from, and it bit into his flesh behind his knee. Blood flew from the wound... and then Godzilla howled in obvious pain as the Dragon Knight's blade continued to dig in from all the power Alicia had put into it.
With a final heave, she tore the sword out from the other side , leaving a deep and jagged wound in the Monster King's leg. The titan's blood flowed out in rivers from the first serious wound that had been dealt to the beast, and Alicia couldn't help but holler cheerfully! The behemoth was not invincible! He could be injured, and severely at that! The monster also promptly collapsed onto the knee of his injured leg, and she realized she'd apparently cut something important as well for that one attack to have apparently crippled his leg.
Unfortunately, she had to return her blade to normal, extending it that far took quite a bit out of her, so she'd have to build up again to repeat that feat of hers. Still, Alicia was satisfied and took off to rejoin the other two dragons. "Well that's certainly a hell of a morale booster." she quipped off hand as she gazed at the titan that was howling angrily at them.
"Yes, you've certainly dealt a large blow to this monstrosity, but he's far from beaten..." The Steel Spirit that Alicia bore reminded her, and she scowled a bit.
"I know that, sheesh, no need to rain on my parade" she whispered back, hoping the others didn't hear her. The last thing she needed was for them to think she was crazy in the middle of such a heated battle!
"Just trying to keep you from becoming too prideful. Such an emotion goes before the final fall."
Alicia quickly rolled her eyes at that and glanced over. The King of Monsters was effectively pinned down at his current location and with his atomic blast denied to him, he was a sitting duck for the time being. Now would be a good time to plan things out while they were in relative safety.
"Alright. Looks like I've bought us some time where Tall Dark and Scaly can't really bother us while Samudramon's, sorry don't know your's or your friend's name yet, seal on that stupid breath weapon holds. Anybody have any plans of attack we could explore? I'm willing to unload a lot of fire power onto this guy even if only to test a potential weak point, and you-" She paused to nod her head over to Isaac, "-are already aware of the level of fire power I bring to the table. Should we try going for his neck in the hopes of making him choke? Or perhaps I can try cramming a few Steel Ark Blaster shots down his throat and see if the insides are less armored then the outside."
She looked down at where Godzilla glared at them with pure, smoldering hatred as he hobbled rather pitifully towards them. "Those are just my ideas though, I'm more then willing to hear others out." Just about anything was a valid response to Godzilla terrorizing the city after all. These few moments of planning might be the difference between victory and defeat, so Alicia did hope they were able to utilize them well.

Isaac was there when the titan first emerged from the ocean, for all the world looking like an insurmountable force of nature. Now he was there to see first blood, the water staining red as their new friend cut deep into the kaiju's leg. He stared in awe as Alicia did her work, the blade striking with a force that Isaac highly doubted any of his attacks could match. Elliot looked overjoyed, letting out a small cheer as the beast finally took to a knee. Even as he stood, he was very wobbly. Now was as good of a time as any to get introductions out of the way, as well as start hammering out an impromptu battle plan. Who knew how long they had before the king of the monsters got really mad?
"You're so cool!" Elliot cheered as Alicia flew over to them. "How'd you do that? My name's Elliot, by the way. It's really great to meet you."
"And I'm Isaac. Now, plan?" he asked. "Elliot and I tried knocking him over before, but while he had both legs working there was no chance we'd be able to pull it off. Now? I think we've got a shot. So how about we try knocking him down, and then you take advantage to probe a weak spot?"
Once more, Isaac and Elliot flanked the flailing monster. However, blood loss made the beast more conservative with its strikes. Last time, the duo had to deal with an impenetrable mass off claws and swipes. This time, the attacks had more gaps in them, and they found it rather simple to repeat their earlier dive bombings. Isaac jabbed at the uninjured knee with another heavy shoulder tackle, while Elliot focused all of his energy into a new rising palm strike. The kaiju's head snapped back and his leg kicked out, leaving him with nothing to rely on for balance but his tail. Despite his best attempts at keeping upright, soon the king of monsters was left fallen right on his back.
Now came the time for Phase 2. Isaac jetted upwards towards his brother, extending his hands for Elliot to catch. The Dynasmon responded in kind, catching Isaac by the hand and pulling him back. The samurai dragon sailed in a graceful circle, Elliot finishing the motion to send his brother hurtling down to Earth. The Samudramon activated the thrusters on the back, speeding himself up until he began pushing up against terminal velocity. He extended out a bladed elbow as he crashed down, getting ready to unleash the elbow drop of a lifetime on the monstrosity. If this went well, he could potentially do some huge damage. If it went badly, he could be the kaiju's next meal. But who had time for worrying? This whole fight was a risk, and he was making sure that he'd commit to it.
The monster let out a pained, gasping roar as Isaac slammed right into his throat, prompting Elliot to turn to Alicia. "Now! Hurry, while his mouth's open!" he advised, hoping all of that firepower previously mentioned by the girl would be applicable in this situation.

Nodding to each brief introduction, the Steel Spirit User replied briefly in kind, "Name's Alicia, glad to be working with you." She let them recount their previous attempt and heard them explain why is had failed. She internally beamed with a bit of pride as they mentioned her possibly giving them just the opening they needed to pull the combo off this time. Nodding at how they wanted to factor her in, she answered back "Just give me the signal and I'll bring the noise."
With that, the brothers were off, picking their way into the gaps of the Kaiju's terrible claws and arms. Steel Spirit and Wielder alike cheered for Isaac's and Elliot's efforts as the titan was toppled once more, before seeing how the two brothers, so in sync with each other as they were, continued on. Working together as they did, the were able to deliver a crushing blow to Godzilla's wind pipe, forcing the beast's maw open and giving Alicia the opening she needed.
"Chew on this big guy, Steel Ark Blaster! Spiral Madness! Metallic Dissonance!" Triggering the vast majority of her ranged offense in short order, Alicia braced herself to be able to launch each one in quick succession. The cannon's loud bangs were issued into the air again, followed by another lance of light and darkness surging from her twisted blade, and topped off by a furious mechanical roar turning into a mighty shock wave. Several energy bursts tore into the King's maw, and Godzilla screeched in pain from the internal damage. Before he could flail too much though, the chaotic lance speared into the back of his throat before detonating, sending a spray of frothy blood from the newest wound. Finally the shock wave struck, blasting through and magnifying the previous injuries as the violent sound waves rang through and ripped the previous wounds open further.
It was a brutal blow only possible by the three dragon warriors working together, and Godzilla audibly choked and coughed on his own blood, further testament to just how much damage had been dealt by the impromptu coordination. Still, the stubborn king was not felled just yet. Once more he rolled to his stomach and pushed himself to rise yet again. For all that he was slowing down, it was obvious to the three that it would take a still greater application of their powers and weapons to end the threat to this world.
Alicia snarled and started to rush in, panting a bit now from the amount of energy she'd just expended in the rapid barrage, she knew they couldn't let up for a bit and she had the most devastating attacks to bring to bear. If anyone were fit to press the attack while they had the chance, it was her. Alas, Godzilla was getting irritated at the fact that he still couldn't wield his infamous atomic blast yet and that the flies buzzing about him were taking clear advantage of it once more.
The ChaosSaberdramon's eyes went wide as Godzilla yanked another empty building from its foundations and turned, chucking it at her. "Oh for- Mercurial Chaos!" She wasn't having any of that though, raising her twisted sword as it stretched out. With a mighty swing, she sheared the home-turned-projectile in two, letting the halves fly past her as she charged in. It seemed she'd even managed to take the King off guard by that, for he failed to react even as she dashed in and cut another jagged gash into his neck to allow even more of the titan's blood to flow free.
With all three of them together, the Spirit Users seemed to be capable of finally taking this battle by storm. Despite this development, though, a worrying thought started to nestle in the back of Alicia's mind. How much longer would Isaac's seal on the monster's breath weapon hold...?

"Okay, how the hell?" Isaac demanded as Alicia sliced a building clean in two. To think all this time he took on such an attack the hard way, while other spirit users were strong enough to just bypass such a step entirely. It was becoming increasingly clear to the boy that there was still so much about the power of Digimon that he had to learn. Maybe he could ask Alicia for some pointers once the dust had settled. At this point, the terror of death he had experienced when the beast arose was the last thing on his mind. It was disarmed. It was staggered. It was bleeding, and if it could bleed it could be killed. There was no reason for him to stay hopeless in the face of such success!
Then he noticed the web of red cracks around the beast's throat start to erode. Just like that, all of his hopes came crashing down.
Maybe the King of Monsters was able to sense such a change. Maybe there was a pressure on his throat that suddenly lifted, cluing him in as to his trademark weapon returning. Maybe it was just a matter of luck. Whatever the reason, Elliot and Isaac found themselves forced to dive out of the way of another round of atomic breath. The pressurized air alone was enough to send them off course, further widening the cracks in Elliot's armor and almost shorting out Isaac's jet propulsion. The kaiju looked shocked for a second, then gave the trio of spirit users an evil smile. The King was back in full force, and now it was time to bow down.
"Agh! My blade's not ready yet! And there's no chance we're surviving until it's charged again!" Isaac shouted, desperately. The atomic breath was by far the beast's best attempt at swatting the would-be heroes like flies, and without being able to just shut it down the group didn't seem to have an answer for it. Isaac flew off to try and distract Godzilla with more Phosphorous Arrows, but as he fired the monster didn't even seem to acknowledge his attacks. It only turned around and let loose another blast of atomic breath, sweeping from high to low to ensure Isaac couldn't dodge in time. While the Samudramon was able to escape by lunging to the left, his right arm was hit bad. One of his swords went clattering to the ocean floor, Isaac angrily giving his arm a few punches to try and get the feeling back into it. With his offense practically halved, he squeezed his eyes shut and focused all of his energy into his blade.
Seeing his brother struggle, Elliot tried to snap into action. He flew in front of the kaiju's face, wings spread wide in an attempted intimidation display, but he was practically laughed off. Instead of being scared off, the monster inhaled deeply for another round of atomic breath. Elliot flew to the right to try and avoid it, but when the beam was fired the kaiju began sweeping his head to follow the Dynasmon. It was moving far faster than Elliot was. He knew, at some point, he was going to get hit. Rather than waste energy running, he shook his wings into the form of a cape and swing it in front of him, hoping it would at least provide him shelter. "Absorption of the Ten!"
Thankfully, only the tail end of the attack actually landed. That was only a small comfort, though, as Elliot felt his entire body become overwhelmed with heat and pressure. He was sent flying back, afraid to even move a single muscle because each twitch only made more pain shoot through his body. Steam rose from his armor, superheated to red-hot temperatures, and as he stabilized his wings could only muster up droopy, halfhearted flaps. However, there was something else different. His eyes had turned the same shade of red as the monster's breath, and atomic flame seemed to be crackling off of his wings as he flapped. He may have been in a world of hurt, but he had successfully absorbed the elemental properties of the attack.
He raised an arm to his mouth, weakly and defiantly, as he turned to Isaac and Alicia. "I'll try and by you time. Think of something, quickly!" he shouted. "Wyvern's Breath!" Flickering red flame, kind of like a heavily incomplete version of the atomic breath, spewed from his gaping jaws in the direction of the ocean. That got the kaiju's attention almost immediately. Firstly, when he noticed the sudden upswing in delicious, delicious radiation. Secondly, when he realized that it was, in fact, his radiation. Elliot flew behind the beast as he fired, causing it to turn around in pursuit of the energy. If any brainstorming was going to happen, now would be the best time.

Alicia swore up and down under her breath as Godzilla started to throw atomic beams left and right to vent his frustration upon the Spirit Users. She had just been about to call for Isaac to see if he could re-seal it, only for her spirits to plummet as he already answered the question before she asked it. While she could probably shrug off a blast or two tops, the same most likely couldn't be said for Isaac and Elliot.
Frantically dancing around the nuclear fury the enraged King was dishing out, the Dragon Knight scrambled for an idea to latch onto, something that could give them hope again. Anything to end this battle in their favor. Was there a way?
...
Yes. There was a way, and Alicia had hit on it almost immediately. The flesh within Godzilla's maw was scarred and weak. If she could take advantage of that to blast her way through to Godzilla's brain, she might be able to take the beast down right then and there.
"You consider a path that will end in your certain demise, Alicia..." Her spirit cautioned her. Huh, was she muttering aloud without realizing it? Still...
"I'm not hearing you come up with a better idea..." she shot back quietly. Her low, even tone made it clear that she was seriously considering the idea, weighing the risks of failure against the chance of success.
"They would be heart broken to hear of your fall." Alicia closed her eyes at that, as Elliot was now distracting the King of Monsters to the best of his ability. Her dear brothers who were the strength of her world would be devastated, wouldn't they?
"... Better to fall here and end this threat then to allow it to rampage elsewhere. I would never live with myself if my cowardice directly resulted in one of them dying..." Alicia answered back sternly. "I've made my choice. My Steel has been set. I will walk this doomed path."
"... Then it has been a great honor to mentor you in your early days and watch over you now."
She took a breath before flying over to Isaac while the Dyansmon continued to distract the King. "Isaac!" she called, trying to get his attention. "I... I have an idea, but before I relay it, I have to ask a favor of you..."
Sheathing her sword and shield for the moment, she took his free hand and set what seemed to be a small USB device on his palm, gently closing his fingers around it with her own. "That... That has information by which to contact my brothers, Jeremy and Morgan." Her voice seemed to crack a bit as she dry swallowed out of anxiety. "If this ends the way I think it will... please contact them and tell them that I... I went out doing what I believed was right, okay?" Well, that was certainly grim. Given the situation there was no mistaking why Alicia was asking such a thing of a fellow Spirit User. She didn't give Isaac much chance to refuse, floating back a bit as she steadied her nerves.
"... Right now, that monster's maw is heavily damaged and flimsy. If you and Elliot can give me one more opening to work with... I'll fly inside his maw, using Mercurial Chaos to jam my blade through to his brain... and then use Spiral Madness to try obliterating that organ from within. Luck permitting, that'll be enough to kill that thing outright..."
And if it wasn't clear before, that made the previous request make so much sense now. Alicia, knowing they were on a timer to their own demise, was going to sacrifice herself to bring the King of Monsters down for good. Even with an amazing distraction, this was a suicide run and she was fully expecting to die with this plan.

Isaac's eyes snapped open as he felt the sudden pressure on his injured hand. By now a swirling aura of green had materialized around his blade, and splitting his focus between maintaining the energy and listening to Alicia was quite difficult. Still, he listened to her to the best of his ability, mentally jotting down her last request.
Wait, last request? Was this woman mad?
"What do you think you're doing?" Isaac demanded, voice equally concerned and infuriated. "What if this doesn't work, huh What if you just end up throwing your life away for nothing?" He had just gotten to know her, and already she was marching toward her death. Digimon could be so weird sometimes, even the ones that were human. They just marched into battle like they were experts, even if every odd was set against them. In a way, he envied her bravery. In another way, he lamented her sure demise. "There's another way. There's gotta be. We just need to think of something. I know it," he muttered, more to himself than to Alicia. Maybe it was weak of him, but he didn't want to bear the death of another on his conscience.
"It's okay."
Elliot's voice seemed to cut in out of nowhere as he emerged from behind the duo. The red tone to his cape had by now long dissipated. In a moment of ingenuity, he decided to release all of his stored-up atomic energy in a single burst. The resulting cloud of energy would make a perfect distraction for the king of monsters, at least until it vanished on the winds. His flight was even more haggard than before, as if even bearing the beast's energy took a toll on him. "She's going to be fine. I'm sure of it," he added, putting a gentle hand on Alicia's shoulder. Perhaps in the heat of battle, the severe nervous tremble he had would go unnoticed. Maybe the slight white glow to his hand would as well. "You've been right up until now, and I know you're right about this, too. I believe in you." He then let go, drifting back to Isaac's side. Sometimes, words were better left unsaid.
These two words were Paladin's Sacrifice. The two brothers prepared to fly off, but first Elliot reached out and grabbed his brother in a tight hug. Needless to say, the Samudramon was perplexed. "What? Elliot, is this really the best time?" he asked.
What could Elliot say? There was no chance in hell he was telling Isaac his plan. Instead he simply offered a sad smile. "Sorry. I'm just nervous, I guess." With that last parting hug, they separated and flew off to their respective battle stations.
Isaac threw his head back like a berserker, howling "Ronin's Rage!" Every muscle in his body tensed up as bloodlust took root in his mind. Right now, the big, bloodied kaiju looked like an amazing target. He dashed forward, both hands on his blade. As he did this, Elliot watched.
He watched as Isaac smashed past the monster in a series of vicious shoulder tackles, each kicking up sparks as his bladed shoulderpads scraped against its scales. As he watched, he took in everything he'd be losing.
He watched as Isaac weaved around claw swipes, barrel rolling to ensure he wouldn't be caught off guard and stopped in the middle of his assault. As he watched, he wondered how he was supposed to explain himself. Would there even be time?
He watched as Isaac delivered a vicious hammerfist blow to the back of the beast's head, sending it reeling. As he watched, he thought about all the friends he would be leaving behind, forcing them to grieve so that another's would be able to stay happy.
His heart felt funny. His breath was short. His head was pounding. Everything in his body screamed for him to turn back.
Would it be cold or warm? Dark or radiant? Heavy or weightless? Would there be anything at all?
He wasn't ready. There was no way he could be. But he knew he had to be.
There was no more turning back. Only acceptance.
He watched as Isaac finally drew his blade from his holster, jamming it one more time into the monster's throat. The atmospheric energy seemed to explode from his sword as it impacted, almost masking the victorious shout of "Terror Blade!" Both sounds, however, were deafened by the thunderous noise of pain from the kaiju. In a fury it grabbed Isaac, leaving the second of the Samudramon's blades embedded right in its throat. Elliot could barely hear Isaac shout over the roars. "Come on! Is that the best you've got? At least try to make this one hurt!" he defiantly spat as the great beast began squeezing its hand ever more tightly.
Elliot couldn't listen anymore. Instead he tuned it all out, squeezing his eyes shut and preparing himself for a journey there was no coming back from. He sat, half here and half on Charon's great boat, watching as Isaac was left behind on the pier. He couldn't tell if the oceans gray waves or the furious combatants were roaring more loudly. He couldn't tell if the wetness was from the storm still pouring down on him, or from the tears he was fighting his hardest to keep back.
The wind was howling.

Alicia tightly gripped her sword and shield, drawing them again as she steadied herself for what she believed would be her last act in this life. She smiled sadly as Elliot gripped her shoulder, never noticing the faint white glow coming from his hand. She had however noticed the tremble, but passed it off as merely a reflection of Elliot's own worry towards her plan.
"Thank you... I barely knew you guys but... had things been different, I know we would've been great friends..." she whispered more to herself then anyone else. While the hug between the brothers struck her as odd, she passed it off in her mind as one seeking the other's strength to endure the tragedy they were about to bare witness to. Never did she imagine it was the selfless paladin bidding a silent goodbye...
She waited for her moment, stoking the flames in her heart that forged her Steel. Isaac's sudden change to a raging berserker stunned her for a moment, but it didn't break her focus. She only had one shot at this, so she had to find the perfect opening. That one wasn't quite it. Another was close, but still not enough.
There. Right as Godzilla grasped the dragon ronin and roared, Alicia charged. Her own howl was one of finality, and even of desperation. While her heart was steeled in bravery, and she was capable of taking this path in which her most likely fate was mutual annihilation, it didn't change one thing. Like every sane living being, she feared death. She feared her own end, even as she soared on with the belief that this was that end.
She almost made it without incident. Unfortunately, while the King was a beast at heart, he was not a stupid beast. He'd come to realize their general plans of action. The two larger dragons would engage first to draw his attention away, while the smallest of their trio would rush in and strike him with one of her various shiny sharp or loud pieces.
Alicia's heart leaped to her throat as Godzilla suddenly swung his attention from Isaac and onto her, his spines lighting up in cruel defiance of her last ditch hope. Flicking the switch in her shield, she extended it to its full tower shield size and lifted it up between her and the lance of nuclear death building up in front of her.
The King cared not for the feeble defense, and fired. Nuclear energy raced out and slammed into Alicia's shield almost instantly, but her Steel held, splitting the beam into multiple smaller ones that hit all over the city as the Dragon Knight pushed against the immense pressure of the blast. A few thoughts occurred to her as she fought the attack off, though.
Why did she feel no heat? The power of the blast should be enough to start cooking her flesh within her armor. Why was there no pain in her shield arm, which should surely at least be sprained by the sudden pressure, if not broken entirely? Why did she not have to bite back a pained scream, despite the assault she was bearing?
"Do not question your fortune, Alicia! Press onward!" her spirit called, forcing her to snap out of her musings. With a defiant roar the Dragon Knight pressed on, shoving the atomic blast back as she pressed closer to her goal. Godzilla howled with rage and confusion, only to be cut off as the ChaosSaberdramon suddenly slammed into the back of his throat. Forced to swallow his own beam back down, the King of Monsters screamed in pain and rage, releasing Isaac as he flailed and tried to spit the intruder out.
Alicia was not one to be deterred though. She planted her feet and thrust her sword, roaring out the attack name. "Mercurial Chaos!" The strength of her thrust, combined with the sudden extension of her blade, magnified the force she was outputting with the move. Scarred flesh gave way easily. Dense bone fared little better, cracked and shattered under the power of the stab. The King recoiled and cried out in agony as steel bit into gray matter and pushed on, all the way out the back of his skull.
"Sayonara... my beloved brothers..." Alicia whispered, still unaware of the sacrifice put into motion by the selfless Dynasmon. "Spiral... Madness!" Groaning against its confines, the twisted blade slowly split apart, driving more pain into Godzilla who was now flailing wildly, smashing apart anything within reach of his tail as he tried to claw Alicia out of his maw.
It was too little, too late for him though. Almost in slow motion, the lance of light and darkness leaped one last time from the core of her blade. Willing it to detonate early, Alicia closed her eyes as the last part of this assault, the one she believed would finally claim her life, occurred. The massive explosion enveloped her as the confined space focused the explosion's energy to where the Dragon Knight had willed it to go.
The King went rigid as soon as hints of the blast escaped his maw and the back of his skull, standing there as still as a statue. The seconds ticked by as it felt like the entire world gazed in anticipation. Was the nightmare over? Did she succeed? Or was this merely the calm before an even greater storm of rage?
Another second ticked by... and the King began to collapse. It was a slow thing, first he dropped to his knees before listing over to one side and effectively crumbling under his own weight. With one last 'boom', the King laid still by the ruined city of Tokyo. The gamble had paid off. The day was won. Alicia was even shocked to realize she would live to see the victory they had wrought, and frantically tore her way free of Godzilla's maw.
For a moment, she couldn't contain her joy. She didn't even care that her body and armor were stained in the blood of the terrible beast, she was alive! Death had failed to claim her once more! There was nothing that could sour the light this day bore!
It was a pity her survival came at a terrible cost. As the day seemed to be akin to a roller coaster of emotion, her spirits plummeted once more as she beheld a gruesome scene. Shock was plainly written in her eyes, as her sword and shield slipped from her loosened grasp and clattered to the ground below.
She would have preferred her own death over this...

Isaac wormed his way out of the kaiju's grip as its attention shifted from him to Alicia. To say he wasn't in great shape was putting it lightly. The blades lining his armor had all snapped on the titan's scales, the tiny slivers of metal clattering into the ocean below. His shoulder pads were pushed deep inwards. His arm guards, as a result, popped and jutted out at weird angles. The web of cracks spreading up his armor would have been unnoticeable against its black color, if not for the eerie green grow slipping through them. If he stayed in that deathgrip longer, he would've been a goner. Instead, he was alright. Now it was just a matter of sitting back and watching the plan. He flew to his brother's side, only to notice something was wrong.
As the atomic breath slammed into Alicia, Elliot seemed to violently jerk in place. He looked as if he was being slammed against an invisible wall, each impact more severe than the last. There seemed to be a light pink tint to his armor, which over time started to intensify into the bright red of the kaiju's atomic breath. All the while, the boy kept his teeth firmly grit. His wings flapped intensely to try and keep him hovering in place, but even then he started to slide back from the sheer force being unleashed upon him. As the red-hot glow of his armor began to give way to a blinding white, he couldn't take it anymore. He screamed, the warrior's cry of a Dynasmon giving way to its true nature of a scared, sad little boy.
Isaac was speechless. "Elliot?" he asked, voice so small it couldn't even be heard over the scream. "Elliot, what happened? What did you do, damnit? What did you do!?" His shouts of desperation were at a fever pitch, as if the boy hoped yelling loud enough would somehow snap his brother out of this strange trance.
The beam stopped, and so did the strikes against Elliot. However, he knew what the next part of the plan was. A brilliant, explosive move, strong enough to result in mutually assured destruction for both the hero and the beast. He only had a little bit of time left before Alicia went through her end of the deal. He turned to Isaac, sadness and pain in his eyes even as he forced a smile.
"You should be happy," he choked out, weakly. "You're going to be safe."
The tears that rolled down his face evaporated instantly against his white-hot helmet. It was fitting, as far as Elliot could tell. There was no more time for tears. He made his choice, and now he had a few precious minutes left to make peace with it. Once more he grabbed Isaac for a hug, and this time the other boy didn't fight it. "Please, be strong for Mom for me, okay? She needs you more than I do right now." With each word his voice seized up more, the boy not sure whether he'd burst into bawling or burst into flame first. Then Alicia shouted the name of her attack, and Elliot shoved Isaac away. If he had any idea what the girl had planned, this would get explosive really fast.
"No. No, this isn't happening!" Isaac shrieked, voice quivering with desperation. "You're not dying on me! Not today! Not after I did everything to keep you safe!" Elliot ignored him, though. Instead the boy slowly brought himself airborne, eyes squeezed tightly shut. He was enveloped in a small ball of white light, which soon expanded into a massive explosion. Even with Elliot's best attempts to move out of range, the blast still had enough force to knock Isaac back as he shielded his eyes from the bright light.
When Isaac's vision returned to him, there was only one trace of his brother left. The Human and Beast spirits of Order floated in the air where the Dynasmon once stood. They hovered in place for a bit, and then exploded into brilliant shards of light. As they fizzled out into the atmosphere, so, too, did Isaac's hopes of ever seeing his brother again.
He let himself crash down onto the beach, slowly regressing from his own Digimon form to his true human self. By the time he had finished transforming he hit the ground, on his hands and knees and trying not to let anyone see the flood of hot, raging tears pouring from his face. He wished he could relish in their victory today, but all he could feel was numb.

'Gone...'
It was the only word ringing in her mind. The scene she stumbled across was one that could not be denied. Where there was a Samudramon and a Dynasmon when she left to perform her suicide run, there was now only a single boy crying into the unfeeling sands of the beach. She knew on common sense that the boy was not responsible for the existence of both Samudramon and Dynasmon, so for there to be only one person in the wake of Godzilla's death...
She was not a fool. She was raised better then that. It didn't take a genius to figure out why there was only one boy where there should have been two. One of them had somehow sacrificed himself for her...
"You knew..." she whispered, trembling a bit as she landed, not trusting her wings to hold her up anymore. It was a question directed at the only one there without a body of his own.
"Yes," the spirit of steel confirmed her accusation.
"Why...!?" Still a whisper, her voice had a furious edge to it, lips pulled back in a snarl. Why had he not told her? Why did he let her throw Elliot's life away like that!? It was one thing to throw her own life away, but to sentence another to that fate? She couldn't bring herself to finish the question.
"I may not always agree with the paths that others take. I do, however, always honor the will of the brave. And Elliot was nothing if not brave. He was foolish, perhaps... but I respected his will just as I respected yours." the spirit answered back. "He knew what his actions would entail, just as you knew what would result had your plan gone off the way you anticipated. He weighed your life against his own and the scale fell in your favor. Just as a common citizen alone cannot overturn the sentence handed down by the judge, so too can you not deny the will of your fellow warrior."
She bit back the scream of rage she wanted to let out, not wanting to disrupt Isaac's mourning with her own fury. It wouldn't help anyways. The events played out as they did. She wished she had realized something was wrong. If she had just thought that something had been done for her at his expense, perhaps he would still be here. But still she had to wonder, when had he enchanted her?
"The only moment you two were in direct contact. The moment her placed his hand upon your shoulder." She realized the Spirit seemed to have guessed what she was thinking and chose to speak up once more. It explained everything. The tremble in his hand was not his worry for her, but a reflection of the fear he was hiding. He had sealed his fate with that motion and was left wondering how soon the Grim Reaper would come for him.
Slowly, she lumbered over to Isaac, changing back to her human form as she did and fell to her knees at his side. Alicia reached a hand out, wondering if she should try to comfort him somehow. She knew she couldn't though. What could she say to him that he hadn't already figured out on his own? 'I didn't know'? 'I'm sorry'? There was nothing she could say that could make this better, nothing she could do that would even begin to mend this horrible situation.
She let her hand fall and hung her head, closing her eyes. Silent tears rolled down her cheeks now as she merely waited at his side. It was both the only thing she could do and far less then what she had to do. She realized that with how things were he might act irrationally and lash out at her as the only other person nearby that he could vent on. Whether she deserved it or not wasn't in question for she was as clueless to Elliot's change to the plan as Isaac himself was, but she'd take his fury all the same if it would help him at least somehow cope with his loss.
Her being at fault here was certainly one way to look at it. And she'd carry the regret of splitting the two brothers so suddenly like this for the rest of her life.
We've agreed that this MPC is now complete and ready for judging.
