Well here Dust was back in the human world, why he was back was irrelevant, stop asking irrelevant questions and focus. He sat in a tree overlooking the residential district, he really didn't want to be here but he lost someone, his mercenary he had hired to assist him in fights had somehow managed to get lost when Dust had looked away for a bit. How didn't really matter now he'd save that question for later now it was time to find out where they went and hopefully make sure they didn't get found by ANYONE else. Though she did look small and what that Maia girl might say cute so she'd be safer, hopefully. "Why am I even looking for her, I should look for someone who knows me, a place I recognize." Dust reasoned with himself, but some nagging feeling in his head wouldn't just let the defenseless digimon wander the world she had no idea about.
Steeling himself Dust clenched his hand and moved from one tree to the next in hopes to find her soon. "That girl from before she lived here right, no idea which house so I'd better not go looking for now." Dust quietly told himself and kept moving.

Planning on spending another day in the forest nearby, Maia hummed to herself. With her Digimon snuggled in the hood of her jacket, she had no problem taking a longer route than usual, maybe in some attempt to find a new part of the forest to relax. After all, it seemed like every time she went there, she found someone. One would think, in such a big place, it wouldn't be so likely!
"Maia," her partner's voice chimed, half asleep. "Digimon nearby. Gotta... gotta focus," he mumbled, lowering his head again. Well, that wasn't a very helpful statement! The least he could have done was tell her what kind of Digimon, or if it was going to eat them! But, instead, he ended up snoring in her jacket. Wow, way to make her paranoid.
Pausing from the idea of the forest, the tamer was now more focused on what kind of Digimon would risk coming to the Residential District and be spotted! There was no way it was Kai and his Digimon, considering Kuu would have been all over that, so who could it be? On top of that, where could it be?

Dust had sensed some Digimon here before but that was natural right, there were humans here, tamers were humans so that just made sense that they would be near the houses so he paid it no mind. Dust however did notice someone out of the corner of his eye in mid jump. "What isn't that." Was all the Impmon managed to get out before hitting the tree branch he had attempted to jump on to and easily losing his footing, his hold and most importantly his respect for himself as he crashed straight to he ground almost knocking himself out with the two hits, as the branch hit him on the head as it fell also, make that three hits.
However this wasn't the end as the mercenary he was looking for, the Lunamon had somehow managed to get lost right around him now, great now she was about to wander off while Dust was quite hidden. Stupid lack of presence didn't help here. Of course being the Digimon she was the mercenary walked right over to Maia waving a bit.

Being on-edge sure felt stupid when a weird, pink bunny-thing turned out to be the primary culprit of Kuu's warning. Still, he snored away in her hood, making it pretty impossible to consult him on the situation. Was this pink thing not a threat? Maia guessed there was one way to find out, considering she was completely oblivious to the other Digimon that had completely failed at showing himself instead.
"Oh, hello!" the tamer greeted, leaning slightly to be at a closer height to the Lunamon. "What," she paused, trying to think of a way to not rudely phrase herself, brings you to such an, uh, open place?" The color scheme of this Digimon certainly didn't make her seem threatening, so hopefully it wasn't something to be deceived over! Without her own partner's guidance, Maia was going to have to use some guesswork on how to handle the situation!

"I'm a mercenary, I'm looking for my partner, he got lost." She said unaware that she was the one who wandered off, and also oblivious to the Impmon not that far away. "You're the one who got lost." A shaky voice came out from the bushes. Slowly the Impmon managed to kick the tree branch off his body figuring using his fire techniques would result in unneeded attention. "First thing I said was don't wander off." Dust said walking closer, upon closer inspection it turned out he was right it was Maia. "Hey." Dust said with a small wave wondering if she'd remember him, hard to forget considering that day at that school. "Oh hey Du, Dus." The Lunamon said forgetting the name of the one who hired her. "Dust, it's Dust." He said with a sigh.
"Who beat you up?" She asked referring to the hit marks from the tree, the ground and the tree again. ".....So nice to see you again Maia." Dust said shifting the conversation away from his total failure.

"Oh? Who's your-," well, there wasn't much need in continuing the question when it was already answered for her! Instead, she straightened up a bit, becoming a bit more relaxed, "Oh, Dust!" This was a much more pleasant turn of events!
Hearing the talking, the Kudamon in her hood mumbled a drowsy, "no dust, please. I'm allergic." Uh, no. No, he really wasn't. In his half asleep state, he dragged his face to rest on Maia's shoulder, before slowly beginning to slip off of it. Why was he so tired? She had only woken him up right after he'd fallen asleep like he always tried with her! Revenge sucked. The Digimon would blink a few times, staring at the two others, before ears would perk up and he rolled himself into a proper, upright position, "alert! Digimon! Maia! Look!"
"Thank you, Kuu," the tamer responded, deadpan. Now her ear was ringing. "You're working up that hero ladder already." To this, her Digimon was clearly proud even though he really shouldn't have been. Maia would have commented on the mercenary not knowing her partner's name, but she was too busy with her own obnoxious problem at the time that it had taken place.
Maia was expecting to hear an answer, much like the Lunamon, but established that the creature must not have wanted to discuss it. "Nice to see you're still safe," the girl offered a smile, making great effort not to comment on his clear avoidance of the prior question. "But, why do you need a mercenary now?" After all, that's what the pink monster said she was! There had to be a reason to get one, right?

Dust was glad that neither of them decided to pressure him about his wounds, his pride would remain intact for at least a while longer, till he most likely did something like this again. "I mostly just hired one since I had enough money, figured couldn't hurt to have someone else around." Dust gave his answer, it made sense really since it wouldn't hurt, well actually she ended up getting lost and Dust got hurt. Alright so maybe just in this instance it was bad but still. "Though the guy played me, didn't tell me exactly who I was hiring just kept saying they were large and strong. And then he brought her out, practically shoved them into me and closed shop. And took my money nice little bonus I suppose." Dust added, he sounded a bit mad about it but the Lunamon had gotten a bit closer.
"Don't worry Dust here." She said with a smile holding her hand down, a green ring appeared around her and Dust and the marks on the Impmon slowly vanished. "She can heal so at least we can help any wounded people." Dust said finished with explaining why he hired and kept the mercenary. "Anything new with you?" He asked figuring there might be something going on, hopefully nothing that dangerous.

"I guess that's good logic," the blonde admitted. She wasn't going to point out that he seemed to be kind of hurt at that moment. "Well, it makes it look like you have a girlfriend," Maia teased, trying her best not to rile him up too much over it. Would he even know what that word meant?
Not able to resist the opportunity, Kuu leaned against his tamer's face, "just like-" Nope! As soon as it had started coming out of the fox's mouth, Maia had already grabbed his face in her hand, creating a garble of muffled sounds. Nope. That wasn't a thing. Eyes glared daggers into the white and purple alien. She was not going to deal with him being that obnoxious right now.
But, when Dust was healed by the Lunamon, Maia only made an interested hum. "Maybe you got lucky? Who needs tough when they don't have to worry about getting killed?" This was hopefully a valid point for the Impmon. Hearing the next question, though, Maia simply stared at the Digimon with a blank face, thinking back to how her week had been going. Sure, there were some fun times in there, but there were also some really obnoxious ones. "Not... really worth talking about," she finally settled on. No, the only things that could have interested the Digimon weren't really ones that she wanted to discuss, so it was better just to leave it at that.
"What about you? Well, aside from you getting some hired help."

"Huh?" Dust exclaimed shaking his head apparently knowing exactly what that word meant, basic terms like that he knew it was the ones only relevent to humans he didn't understand. "Uhh, is it really?" The Impmon asked with a small laugh. The Lunamon just sat there and smiled, Dust couldn't tell of she knew what they were talking about or no, either way did not matter that much. "I suppose not having to worry about death is a good thing." Dust lightly joked, it was obvious you didn't want to die. Unless you were weird like that which Dust had not met anyone like that so far. He also hoped never to meet anyone like that.
When she asked about him his face that was lit up with slight embarrassment now fell and he looked at the ground. "I haven't made any progress with anything. But nothing has gone wrong so I suppose all's going good." He sounded a bit dissatisfied with that answer but there wasn't much he could do about that, hard to track down something when you had no idea where to look.

Well, it was good to see that Dust seemed to understand the word! The blonde smiled a bit more, noting that neither the Impmon nor his partner seemed to have any desire to deny the claim. She wouldn't tease him any further on the subject, though, considering there wasn't a confirmation to it, either. Maybe, neither of them knew what they were to each other. Or, it was just so far off the mark that Dust didn't know how to respond.
Kuu had apparently found this conversation to not be loud enough for his liking, so he'd fallen asleep on his tamer's shoulder, half of his body still in her hood. A small squeaky-snore sound would occasionally slip from his mouth. This was either a sign that he really trusted the two Digimon that he had never met before, or he was just too tired to bother worrying! Either way, it saved Maia the hassle of trying to get him to shut up later.
The smile faded, seeing the Rookie's reaction to her question. No progress at all? "Well, it looks like you found the Digital World, at least?" she offered as some sort of condolence. After all, the girl really hoped that there wasn't a place to purchase mercenary Digimon in the human world. It was hard to tell, though, considering how twisted the world could be. "That's a start, right?" Maybe, it would help Dust realize he had done something. "Any other plans on what you'll do?"

Dust smiled a bit at that. "Yeah I suppose so." Though he went to several different areas yet he recognized nothing at a. it even the main city, that was a bit disheartening but maybe he was just a hermit who never visited the main cities. He didn't know exactly how amnesia worked though maybe he had been there but couldn't recall or something. All this served was to frustrate him even more. "All I can think to do is keep looking. I-I honestly don't know what I'll do even when I find out who I was. For all I know I might not like what I find." Dust explained. For all he knew he could of been a mass murderer and this memory loss thing was a second chance but even if that was so Dust still wanted to find out. No matter how much it might hurt to find out.
Dust was a bit surprised when Luna the small Digimon around his size had hugged him. "You'll be fine, Me and your friend here will be right by your side." She said hugging a bit tight for some reason. This Digimon seemed a bit attached despite the short time they've been together. "Thanks Luna." Dust had noticed she was kinda lingering on that Hug. "Uh you can let go now." Though that got nothing but a "Nah" from the overly attached mercenary.

At least the Digimon seemed to cheer up for a moment. It was interesting to hear his concerns on if he actually found anything out anything about himself. Sure, there were concerns like that, but if he was aware of how he felt now, couldn't he make sure to not become whatever he was like before if he didn't like it? Maybe Maia needed to do some research on amnesia.
Then, the mercenary gave Dust a hug, causing the tamer's smile to form again. She wasn't sure if it was just the Lunamon's way of making things better or if she actually cared, but it was only furthering the thoughts about how they looked like a couple. That was, until she wouldn't let go, even upon the Impmon's comment.
Maia began snickering at all of this, watching the two. "You two are adorable," she commented, lifting her hand to try to cover her mouth. At least these digimon weren't really problems for the area. Why couldn't they all be like this? Just peaceful and... well, kind of normal.
"I'm the adora--ble...one," Kuu mumbled, still asleep. Did he take offense to someone else being called adorable?
Either way, the tamer shrugged it off. "See, you don't have to worry about what you were like. You're not alone, so even if you did turn out to have a bad past before, we can help you figure out where to go from there." There was no point in him fearing who he was, right?

Dust thought about what Maia said, did it really matter who he was, he was Dust now. He wasn't sure if this was his old name but even if he was someone like that he wasn't now, he cared enough to go looking for Luna, he disliked fighting despite being good at it and for some reason always stayed in the mindset that he should do the right thing. He doubted with this he could be someone like that but it was still in the realm of possibility. Dust however had his first thoughts planted on that word adorable again. Despite not knowing the fact that the mercenary still had not let him go only furthered that original thought that Maia had which only made him grow more embarrassed at this. Finally the Lunamon had let go and just smiled at Dust.
"Yeah doesn't really matter about who I was. I guess I was just so hung up about it because I didn't want to find I was nothing but a killer. Thanks Maia, Luna." Dust said with a small smile which for some reason caused the Lunamon to once again grab the Impmon. "I'm going to have to get used to this huh?" A small "yep." Confirmed this fact. Though Dust did possess the strength to push her off yet for some reason didn't. "What about you Maia, anything you have your mind set on doing." Dust asked as Luna let go looking at Maia wondering what the Tamer was going to say.

Maia watched the two rookies and their overall cuteness. There was no shame in finding this entire thing a bit too cute. After all, the only witness to it was her own Digimon, and he'd seen some of the things she'd 'aww' over online. At least Dust had some friends to help him through all of this. It had to make it a little better, even if he might actually be some sort of crazy murderer in his old life!
"Hey, even if you were a murderer," the tamer started, watching the pink and purple digimon go back in for another hug, "you certainly don't seem like one now. That's what matters." Would if even really matter if he decided to be a killer? Maia couldn't imagine that he'd go after her or his mercenary, and things were definitely full of different morals in the Digital World. Based on what little she'd seen, she could easily assume that some Digimon thrived on the destruction.
When the questions pulled back to her, Maia had to think. What was she planning on doing? She didn't really know. The snoozing Kudamon had heard, however, and felt the need to add his plans in. "We're going to be heeerroooes," he mumbled, still clearly sleeping. Since when did he sleep-talk? "Gonna be tough and save people."
Uh, were they really? Maia was more concerned about passing all of her classes rather than being a hero!

Dust smiled a bit but what she said made something in his head spark. Those words she said last didn't sound like they were coming from her, at least in his head he heard someone else. Another who told him something before. "That girl and that Alphamon." Dust said looking down. "Why, why do I remember this?" Dust asked himself shaking his head. All he remembered was a girl and her partner. An Alphamon of all things. "Dust what's wrong." The mercenary asked. Dust looked up at her and back at Maia. "For some reason after you said that I remembered someone. Someone I know I haven't met after I lost my memory. I actually remember something." Dust said excited. This meant he could get his memory back. He had to find this person but he couldn't put a name nor could he place any details but hell it was a start.
Though with that something made him sad. Remembering it brought no concrete ideas but there was emotion when he recalled a girl with a alphamon. "I remembered something. So why do I feel sad about it." Dust asked himself, it was weird part of him was excited he knew something but another part made him uneasy about it.
