Alicia smiled, her laughter returning as Maia pointed out a rather embarrassing moment when Kuu had done his balloon trick. That was honestly adorable and given the fox's antics she could totally see the described scenario happening like she was right there taping it. A pity the young tamer apparently hadn't thought to record the entire fiasco.
"Kid, might want to take a look at your D-Scanner in the next few moments..." Sol noted off hand, taking an even and serious tone now. Alicia blinked and glanced away, fishing the digivice out at his suggestion. Right as she did though, the blasted thing started pinging. It's just that this time, though, the pings were coming twice as fast as any normal indication that the D-Scanner had picked up on a Spirit. Now why would that be?
Upon opening up the map to the indicated area, Maia would see the spirit user's face turn a pale white. It was almost as if she'd seen a ghost in fact. "W-W-What is this...?" she asked her Spirit, not bothering to keep her voice down this time.
"Exactly what it looks like Alicia. I hope you've got a good set of running shoes on cause you're in for quite a mess." The Steel Spirit returned. "Two spirits at the same time. And it looks like one of them's already been claimed by someone or something."
"Two!? Are you kidding me!?" Alicia yelped, biting her lower lip afterwards and starting to pace about. If Kuu or Maia cared to notice, the Spirit User's frantic state of mind was letting the Texan accent on her Japanese become much more obvious, hinting at her actual homeland. Not that that was very important right now. "First it was a whole pack of Flarizamon coming across Kai and I to get my Rustdramon form. Then Elliot, Isaac, and I had this insane battle on the roof of a Trailmon just to get a hold of Steeldramon. Now I've got to deal with this!? Do I just attract bad luck when it comes to hunting for Spirits or something!? How do I even begin tackling this!?"
One could say it was fortunate they were the only two in the forest for the time being. Alicia's raised voice and panicked tone would've certainly drawn a lot of unwanted attention otherwise. As it was though..
"Oi, kid, cool your jets and think this through!" Sol shouted to get her attention, causing the spirit user to freeze up and heave a heavy sigh. "Right, right, can't go scrambling around like a chicken without a head..." Well, at the very least now one could get Alicia's attention again, should Tamer or Digimon so choose.

The mood seemed to instantly change when Alicia pulled her digivice out. "I think Alicia broke," Kuu pointed out, quietly. It was true. The woman looked like something had just traumatized her! Then, the redhead started rambling. Kuu bounced over to climb up his own tamer's shoulder, to avoid being a part of the potential meltdown. After all, he was used to Maia freaking out. Other people? Maybe not so much. Not to this extent, at least! Gallatin, of course, had been an exception to this, but he was funny! At least, the Kudamon thought he was. Maia had a different word for the weird guy.
Two what? Now, both Digimon and Tamer were listening intently to Alicia's rant. She had met Kai? Well, that was something new! Especially since the boy seemed to hardly be in any state to go running around doing reckless things like dealing with Flarizamon. Whatever those were. Maia was pretty sure that she didn't want to know what they were. And, what was this about rooftop battles with Elliot and Isaac? What kind of weird things were they getting into? This wasn't how tourists should spend their vacation to Japan!
Not that Maia really understood what hunting for spirits involved, either. Nobody had ever used the term. It was obviously something that involved Spirit Users. Considering there was hunting and spirit involved, she could hazard a guess or two. Still, she had to remain the calm one out of the two of them for, at least, the time being. At least nothing had gone horrible yet, right? Though, judging from the reaction, it may not be far off. Finally, Alicia settled down enough that it seemed like talking to her may be a possibility. "Is... everything alright?" Maia questioned, wanting to get in a word before her Digimon could.
He wasn't far behind, though. "What're we tackling?!" Of course that's the part that the fox would get from all of that.

The Spirit User took a moment to collect herself the rest of the way, before addressing the Tamer/Digimon pair again. Coming across the idea that Maia might not know what she meant by a 'Spirit Hunt' the young lady decided to explain it while she was at it. "Alright, in order. Somewhat, I'm not exactly in any big trouble right now but another frustrating situation has come up. Unlike Kuu here who can Digivolve to a higher form simply by becoming strong enough, all of my Digimon forms are contained in these Spirit Totems. At certain times, the D-Scanner will pick up on them and alert the appropriate user as to their discovery. That sends them scouring the Digital World facing who knows what trying to find them so that they can increase their available power and be better able to protect themselves."
Alicia took a breath and sighed softly, shaking her head, "My luck being what it is, my D-Scanner has picked up two such Totems that are linked to my Spirit at the same time. So I'm possibly going to be roughing it out in the Digital World for a while taking them both on one after another in case there is some kind of time limit I have to deal with. I'd hate to lose out on one of them just because I didn't know it was going to vanish after a while."
"That shouldn't be too much of a problem for the stationary one. The one that's on the move though... I suggest going after that one first." Sol noted once Alicia finished the first part of her explanation. The Steel Spirit User nodded to herself, humming.
"Now, to answer Kuu, I frankly don't know what exactly we'll be tackling. Last time it was some megalomaniac dinosaur in a graduation gown looking to use my last Spirit Totem for fame and fortune. Anything under the sun is possible. I'm pretty sure I can handle a hunt all by myself though." The red head paused a bit, looking down.
"... Still, it's always nice to have a friend to back me up, you know? I understand if you really don't want to come with me to the Digital World, but if I may be so bold as to ask for your help?" She did her best to keep a neutral expression as she asked the question. She certainly didn't want to guilt Maia into coming along if she really didn't want to after all! Kuu might do that enough though so perhaps the effort was wasted...
"Either way, Alicia, be careful. The farther along you go the more trouble you'll run into. Such is the way of these things." Sol noted. If he was trying to inspire confidence, Alicia had to admit it was a terrible way of going about it.

The tamer scrunched her face slightly, listening to the spirit user. After piecing together the weird story from Isaac and Elliot, and now hearing an actual explanation, she was beginning to appreciate just having a Kudamon. "Yeah, not jealous of Spirit Users anymore," she pointed out, rather rapidly. That all sounded like a lot of 'nope's and too much effort. On top of that, time limits? It was like someone was setting up an elaborate game for this stuff! It hardly seemed fair to expect of people that surely had no experience in whatever was going on. "I'll assume that you're not supposed to ignore when it tells you about them, then?" Of course, the answer was already apparent.
Kuu tried imagining a dinosaur in a graduation gown, but failed to figure out what a graduation gown was. Instead, he decided to imagine a dress. Gown was the same as dress, right? What was he graduating from, the Rookie wondered? Would Kuu get one of these dresses, someday? It would have to be awfully small! Maybe someone could turn a sock into a gown for him. Would it make him look fat? Could it be purple? All of the things to consider! "I want a dress," he mumbled quietly, only to receive an incredulous stare from his tamer, who clearly had no idea where this statement came from.
When Alicia had stated that she could handle it alone, Maia was about to question if that was true, but it seemed that an offer was placed on the metaphorical table for her. While she had debated suggesting it moments prior, the girl had to honestly pause to think about it now that it was actually sort of a request. Wouldn't it be dangerous? It might be better to go home. Unfortunately, before she had time to weigh the pros and cons, she heard Kuu gasp, clearly snapping out of whatever thoughts he was having about wearing dresses. "We gotta," he insisted, rapidly turning his head to Alicia, then to Maia, repeating, "Maia, we gotta." Then, he continued the pattern of looking between the two, trying to establish who he needed to tell that they had to join the hunt.
Unable to think straight, the girl pressed two fingers to her temple. "Right, right," she mumbled, trying to hush the fox. Of course these things happened every time she met someone. But, unlike the last time, Alicia seemed to be pretty stable and cool. She'd hate to find out something had happened to her. Especially if the tamer and her partner could have prevented it. "Alright," she finally nodded, looking to the redhead. "If you don't think we'll just slow you down," she started, trying to sound at least a little confident about the entire thing, "we'd be glad to help you out."
Yellow eyes grew wide, hearing this answer. Oh! This was so exciting! Maia was letting them do stuff! Maybe that run-in with Arachnemon yesterday had lightened her up! Instead of vocalizing anything of importance, all the Kudamon would do was loudly shout a, "yay!"

"Well, I hear I really shouldn't ignore them. And I'm not about to challenge that assumption considering he's a really good source for this kind of stuff." Alicia noted. Sol did certainly seem to know his way around these things like the back of his metaphorical hand. And he hadn't exactly steered her wrong yet. The Spirit User wasn't quite sure how Maia would react to hearing what exactly her source was though. "And yeah, I understand that you wouldn't be jealous of us Spirit Users. We do seem to have to jump through a lot of hoops just to keep up."
Unfortunately, as she feared, the Kudamon managed to annoy or guilt Maia enough into agreeing to helping her, regardless of her actual thoughts on the subject. "Sorry to push this on you so suddenly, but you were literally right there so I thought I'd ask just to know for sure." She noted, smiling a bit. "And really, I'm more worried about being the one to slow you two down. I always appreciate a helping hand."
Taking a deep breath, she sighed and started to walk to where she'd parked her motorcycle. "Do you have anything to ride on to get to the station faster then walking? Cause I've picked up a couple spare helmets just in case something like this happened. My motorcycle's parked nearby and I'd rather not waste a single second if at all possible." That was true, the first day she'd come back from the Digital World she'd made a point to go out and buy some extras just in case she needed to pick someone up and bring them along.
Hopefully Maia didn't mind the noise and speed if she agreed. The redhead figured Kuu would have a blast with it if he got to ride.

Maia could understand that there was likely a reason behind needing to hunt down spirits at certain points in time, but it just sounded like such a hassle! Maybe this put Kuu in a better light for the tamer. At least the redhead was more responsible about it than she would have been. Though, it wasn't hard considering most of the times that Maia was faced with a decision, she tended to lean toward the idea of just going home. At least the Kudamon helped keep his tamer in line when it came to this. Though, it really wasn't always a good thing.
"No, you're fine," the blonde tried to reassure. After all, Alicia couldn't have been counting on Kuu to nag her about it, right? It just seemed unlikely. "We've been meaning to do a little more exploring, anyway," she added. Though, a little certainly hadn't meant to go on some weird treasure-hunt type thing, but she wouldn't mention that. Kuu probably loved treasure hunts. And, that's kind of what this sounded like. It could be fun, right?
Beginning to follow Alicia, Maia hadn't thought much about how to get to the Digital World. Yeah, they were kind of in a hurry, weren't they? And, then the helmet comment made her pause. Motorcycle? Of course Alicia drove a motorcycle. Somehow, it just fit. The pipefox looked between the two again, tilting his head to the side. "What's a motorcycle?" Oh, he was either going to love or hate this.
Almost breaking the expected character, Maia flashed a smile. Okay. So, despite how cautious she could come off, there was no denying that she actually really liked motorcycles. "Yeah, we'll just ride with you, if that's alright." The little Kudamon was going to be in for a surprise, wasn't he?
Still, the Rookie found himself looking around in circles, ears lifting, only to flatten. "I don't know what a motorcycle is! Someone! Tell me! Is it food? Can I eat it?"

"Well, if you were planning on it anyways..." Alicia mused off hand as they walked. She smiled softly, going quiet and merely throwing a knowing smirk at Kuu as he asked about what a motorcycle was. One way or another this would be good for quite a laugh.
"And here I thought I was smug when holding answers back. You've got a bit running down the corner of your mouth there. Might want to wipe that off." Sol quipped, before chuckling to himself. "In all seriousness, kid, we really should've expected it from the little pipe fox. He's the kind that goes looking or stumbling into trouble. Oftentimes both."
"Yeah, yeah, I know. Still asking first is just common courtesy" she whispered back as they came up to her ride. It was certainly a nice piece of machinery, one of the models built to be big and strong and really make an impression. It was something much closer to the Harley Davidson brand of motorcycles, not one of those whining little racer rockets that seemed irritatingly common. Alicia's particular bike was painted a dark blue with silver flames, though beyond that there wasn't much detail work to note.
Smiling, the Spirit User reached into one of the saddle bags hooked onto the back fender and fished out both her helmet and a spare for Maia, making sure they were both geared up and safe for the road. Then the redhead swung herself over, seating herself comfortably on the machine before helping Maia and Kuu up behind her.
"Hang on tight and tap my shoulder if you need me to pull over, alright?" Alicia mentioned to them with a smirk. Once she got the confirmation, the young lady lifted the bike up off its kick stand, kicked it up, and fired it up. The engine block roared to life, bringing an excited smirk to Alicia's expression. She always did love riding the bike ever since she'd gotten it.
One last check later, to make sure Maia and Kuu were settled in for the trip, and Alicia sent the bike off, swinging it around to take them to the train station.

Once they reached the motorcycle, Maia seemed to take more interest into it than her Digimon, initially. "Nice," she murmured, walking up to the vehicle. This was more what she was used to. The idea of it being one of those little rockets hadn't even really crossed her mind until last moment. "I like the color," she admired, taking the helmet. With little effort, she adjusted it to fit snug. During this time, she began to debate the best place to put the fox Digimon, who was gaping at the strange vehicle.
"That's not food," the fox mumbled, trying to figure out how he felt about the thing in front of them. Except.. oh! He'd seen them on television before! "Oh! Don't those make the sounds?" Before anyone would be able to point out that most things did, in fact, make sounds, the digimon began imitating a motorcycle rumble. It wasn't a perfect match, but it got the point across. And then, Maia put on the helmet, and his eyes grew large. "Maia. You need to wear hats. So I can fit under them!" Awful idea. At least he wasn't asking for his own helmet.
With some help onto the motorcycle, the tamer nodded, pulling Kuu off of her shoulders. "Do not move around too much," she warned, tucking the cartridge he was wrapped around on the inside of her jacket, between her body and arm. His length still gave him the ability to poke his head out of the top of her jacket, looking around wildly. "You make it sound like I've never been on a motorcycle before," the blonde smiled, trying not to sound rude about it. "But, good to know," she added, quickly, as she made sure to hold on.
Once the motorcycle began to move, the little fox began to make a thrilled screech that would surely expand the entire trip to the train station, while Maia remained silent, only wishing that she had brought tape for the monster's mouth.
At least Maia couldn't say that her life had been boring lately.
