Katrina was taken aback..., yet skeptical..., yet... not...? She didn't have a way to prove against what he was saying, did she...? Everything looked real to her. How could this be a digital world - unless he meant virtual reality!! That stuff's been getting popular, lately. The only thing wrong with that train of thought was that she wasn't using any VR equipment.
Mistymon took Rina's hand - which startled her into confusion. Suddenly, with his other hand, a magic orb appeared, hovering over it. "Allow me to confirm something." He brought Rina's wrist to the space between his other hand and the orb. A soft light shined down on her arm, and after a few seconds of looking into his orb, Mistymon came to a conclusion. He softly released the redhead and stated, "As I figured: the face of this watch seems to be made of materials that should only be found in the digital world. All sorts of coding are embedded and stored within, but I can't make sense of it. .... Interesting...."
"?? ...So~... should I get rid of it, then?" She began to take it off.
"No. I wouldn't do that if what you said is true. If that device brought you here to the digital world, it may be your only way back to where you came from."
She refastened it to her wrist. "...That does make sense," she thought... as the digimon listened in from their respective tables.
"The question is how something like that found its way to your world...."
".... Hey, I've got a question...."
"...! Yes?"
"...You keep saying 'your world' all the time. ...Aren't you from my world, too?"
"...? No. This is my home. .... I'm a digimon as well."
Rina's eyes narrowed, not believing that at all.
"...;;;" beads of sweat appeared as he was being examined.
"Joking around like that during a serious conversation; I didn't peg you for that kind of guy."
"I-I'm serious...! ...." He coughed to clear the air and compose himself. "I suppose to you humans, some of us digimon appear to closely resemble you. Perhaps our worlds are linked in more ways than one; maybe it's coincidence. ...In any case, I am a digimon...; that is the truth."
".... Alright...." Katrina wasn't going to push the issue any further. That isn't to say that she believed him, however. She just didn't want to annoy the man - or 'mon - who could have easily turned her away from the very start.
She glanced at her watch. "...So~..., this should get me home, right? ...Any sort of idea how I'd get it to do that? ...---I mean, it always happened when it was in Stopwatch Mode. I left it on that mode this time, y'know, just in case, but nothing's happening."
"If that's so..., then sadly I wouldn't know. ...If I could decipher the coding infused with it, I'm sure we'd learn how to get you back to your world. ..Unfortunately, it's well out of my range of expertise...."
"Oh. ...." Rina lowered her head slightly, a little depressed, a little 'in thought.'
Mistymon seemed to be pondering something as well. The digimon listening in seemed to understand that the girl was stuck in a world not her own. Most of the one listening seemed a little down, surprised that their teacher couldn't help her - this included the floral digimon; some simply watched - like the hooded, orange man-sheep digimon who sat alone with a bowl o' greens.
".... .... I wonder if Wisemon would be able to help...." The knight was thinking aloud.
Rina's ears had perked up. "Huh?" feigning ignorance to what she heard, simply for the sake of him clarifying.
"What's with all the -mon names...? She knew Japan had a number of names that ended in 'mon,' but as far as she figured, they were still rare enough that you wouldn't run into people with such names very often; here, she has encountered two and is being directed to a third...! That's crazy coincidental...!
"I'd like to suggest you see an old friend of mine." Rina was listening. "Wisemon. He's a very knowledgeable being. If anyone can uncover the truth behind this device, it's him."

Katrina didn't know who this 'Wisemon' was, and he had an awkward 'mon' name, as well, as if it was a nickname - moreso than 'Burgamon' and 'Mistymon.' But her goal was to find this guy - a person who might be able to help her get home. "The last time I saw him, he was in Terminus City." Mistymon then clarified. "You said you appeared near a giant crater, correct?" She nodded. "From there, it should have been within view - I'm sure. Did you happen to see an area that was heavily barricaded? A stone wall?""! Oh! That place?" She did recall seeing such a place. In fact, seeing how scary 'tough' and 'scary' it seemed - or could be - she avoided going in that direction in favor of this forest. "Yeah, I saw it.""That's where you need to go. Ask around for Wisemon when you get there. When you find him, Tell him that it's a request from me to help you - though I'm sure he'll be willing, regardless.""" Katrina noticed the exclusion of one detail. "Wait. You're not gonna come with me?""Unfortunately, this school preoccupies me even through nightfall. I don't have the spare time to make the whole journey with you, I'm afraid. But you don't need to worry. The digimon that inhabit the forest are mostly peaceful ones. Beyond that...," Mistymon turned to face his students. "I'm sure one of my top students would be delighted to help you reach Terminus City." He didn't name any names, but they knew who they were. The entire class began their chatter of surprise and speculation. Of his top 5, only 2 seemed wholly interested. "Can I do it, Mistymon?" The floral digimon leaped to her feet with her arm raised. "Oh? You'd like to be the one, Floramon?"The man-rock digimon, still seated, raised his arm as well. "---Wait wait! I wanna be the one! Let me be the one! Please~! I NEED THE EXTRA CREDIT~!""Hmhm. That, you do, Gotsumon.""...I'm noticing a naming pattern, here...." Rina interjected with a thought; her brow was raised. Mistymon waited a moment; Gotsumon and Floramon, very eager for the opportunity. He eyed the other 3 among the top 5..., with great focus on the man-sheep digimon who simply watched the eager ones. ".... Well then, ...how about you both accompany her? I'm sure she'd appreciate the company." Mistymon looked to Rina for the confirmation, which she gave with an accepting series of nods. "Yeah, I'd love that!""There you have it,"Mistymon reconfirmed the decision, leaving both Floramon and Gotsumon to cheer for their good fortune as everyone watched and were mostly happy for them. Rina smiled to herself at the child-like glee coming from these monsters; at the same time, 2 of the 3 that decided not to get involved began to gossip. "You think they'll be okay...?""Well it's the two of 'em, after all. They ain't gonna get lost."The cloaked man-sheep listened in. "Yeah..., but I hear there are dangerous digimon closer to the city.""Mmmngh, yeah.... But isn't the city guarded? If there are digimon that look like trouble, they'll just blast 'em, right?"" ! But what if they blast them, too??" " ...Okay, now yer worryin' too much." "...." The man-sheep digimon glanced back over to Rina who, while still seated, bowed to Mistymon for all his help. ".... ...."

"Everyone, please take care on your journey. Always stay together, at least until you return to the 'Woods." The words of Mistymon echoed in the minds of the departing trio.
Several minutes later, Gotsumon, Floramon, and Katrina found their way through the front curtains of the school hut, staring into the forest the way Katrina came. Floramon and Gotsumon were both holding magic orbs, spawned from pixels of data that flowed from their respective arm to the respective hand. Rina had decided to do up her hair again, using the hairband to secure her side ponytail.
Rina took a deep breath; things were finally about to begin.
Gotsumon ran out ahead a number of steps before facing the others. "Let's go already~!"
"There's plenty of time, Gotsumon. We don't have to rush." Floramon said as she calmly approached him as well. Katrina followed suit. They were doing this for her sake, so she didn't want to lag far behind. "We'll go straight out from here, then we'll go around the hole and make a beeline for Terminus City's entrance," Floramon instructed.
Gotsumon looked at her with a question. "Do you know where the entrance is? I've never been there before...."
Flora stood proudly. "As a matter of fact, I do. I've even been inside."
"Whoa~! Hey! What's it like in there?"
Still proud of herself, Floramon said, "Hmhm~. I'm not spoiling anything. You'll just have to wait and see for yourself."
"Aaaw!"
Katrina grinned. "I guess We'll stay close to you since you know where to go,"
Floramon smiled and nodded before proceeding. "Right."
-----------
During their travels through the Server Woods, Gotsumon and Floramon passed the time by asking Katrina - a human - various questions about herself. Simple questions; somewhat awkward ones, too.... Rina also took the time to ask about the naming sense behind the -mon names. Finding out that every digimon was that way made everything clearer for the redhead - that included her thoughts on Mistymon as well.
But as they exited the forest, Floramon asked a question that Rina didn't understand.
"Okay..., so how about this one: ...How do you humans make us digivolve?"
"Huh??" This was also news to the rocky digimon.
"Huh? 'Digivolve...?' ...What do you mean?" It was a word Katrina had never heard of before, but it seemed like it was just two words joined together. Easy enough to understand, but she asked just in case.
Floramon seemed confused, like she expected a direct answer from Rina to come easily. "Y-you know: the 'Light of Digivolution' you use. How do you access it?" ...More silence and confusion followed. "Hey..., are you sure humans can make us digivolve...?" Gotsumon asked, curiously yet skeptically. The floral digimon began feeling slight bouts of embarrassment. Her eyes met Rina's. "...You really don't know...?" Rina shook her head, "No idea," leaving Floramon to think aloud. "...? But every human I've seen knew how to access it...." "NO WAY!" was Gotsumon's gullible reaction. But Floramon spoke the truth. Every human that had passed through Server Woods, that she had seen, was able to either make their digimon ally digivolve, or the human was able to digivolve into a strong digimon. Gotsumon had never noticed such things. Rina had no idea what Floramon was talking about, but she did note one thing that was said.
"So other people were here...." A fact re-affirmed that added a level of comfort for the redhead. But what was this light that humans were using? Rina wondered. Floramon couldn't have meant a flashlight, right? She wasn't talking about... whatever that 'photo-something-sis' was, involving plants and light, right?
"...Maybe it's because she's in-training and just hasn't used it yet. Either that or she's lying," Floramon thought. "All humans somehow have the Light of Digivolution with them. If I can find out how they bring it out and use it, I'll be the number one student in class! Everyone'll look up to me! ...---! Hold on! Better yet: if I can get her to use it on me, I'll be strong...! I won't even need Mistymon and his magic anymore...!"
As they all walked across the grasslands and around the crater, thoughts circulated in Floramon's mind about how to bring out Katrina's light for her benefit, all while being followed from a distance, unseen.

Ever since the talk of light and digivolution, the atmosphere had gotten a little heavier. Gotsumon, however, tried to perk everyone up and get them talking again. He disliked the silence in the air as the group drew closer to the city known as Terminus. Whenever he couldn't get a conversation going, he began to talk about himself and things that happened to him, like the time a Nyokimon flew into his eye and he screamed, scaring the Minomon. Wormmon would proceed to cover his face with sticky string, sticking his hands to his head as they were covering his eye at the time.
When they reached Terminus City, ...there was no entrance where they stood.
"HUH?? YOU SAID YOU KNEW WHERE THE ENTRANCE WAS!"
"I-I DO! I just wanted you guys to really see the wall," not being honest on multiple levels.
"BUT I COULD SEE IT FROM SERVER WOODS!"
"But now you can really feel how big it is, Gotsumon!"
"SO WHAT!? A BIG WALL IS BIG! BIG DEAL! ADMIRE IT FROM THE ENTRANCE!"
"Now now, guys...." Katrina really didn't want them fighting with each other. Everyone was so 'sweet' at the start of the journey. Why were they turning so 'sour' now...??
Eventually, the trio continued onward along the side of the wall. Frustration began to show on Floramon's face until they stumbled upon a quartet of goblins who seemed to be looking over their gear and items.
"Whaddya think they're doing?" Gotsumon asked, despite that.
The Goblimon soon saw them from the corner of their eyes and stopped what they were doing. They stood next to each other, blocking off their stash from the three trespassers. Floramon stopped and watched as a grin entered her mind. Katrina and Gotsumon stopped behind her. The redhead easily assumed the monsters were trouble.
"I guess we'll have to go around the other way," she suggested, not wanting to pick a fight unnecessarily.
The floral digimon chimed in. "It's fine; we can beat them." She then proceeded onward, with a look of surprise on Gotsumon's face. "What!? There's four Goblimon there, you know!" "If you stick to Mistymon's training, this shouldn't be too tough."
One of the goblin digimon, unable to hear them at that distance, raised his voice. "Hey! ...I'd turn around if I were you!"
Floramon was ready to go; the orb she was carrying was at the ready. "Sorry, but that won't be happening."
"Heh. .... I guess that means we'll be adding more to the collection, guys." The same Goblimon slammed his club's head into the ground. The others chuckled to themselves as they, too, readied their blunt weapons, clapping their hands with them, swinging them around, and whatever else suited their fancies. "...Time to collect...!"

The group of Goblimon charged forth. Katrina backed away in fear of being attacked. Floramon, before the goblins could fan out, "[[Allergy Shower]]!" With her free arm, a spray of pollen spewed from it, engulfing the area around the green enemies. Before long, they were sneezing up a storm; they were rubbing it out of their eyes; their skin itched.
"Get 'em, Gotsumon!" the floral digimon instructed.
The rock digimon held up his orb and concentrated his energy into it. A red glow came from within the orb. With it maintained, the orb went aflame, though it did not harm its creator. "[[Fire Orb]]!" Gotsumon shouted as his concentration caused a fireball to blast forth from the burning orb. With the goblins distracted, the fireball's target was struck, knocking one of the enemies onto his back. Gotsumon cheered for his successful attack while the downed Goblimon clenched his teeth in pain and embarrassment. He would have clenched a fist, too, if he wasn't so itchy.
Quickly realizing how this was going to go down, the standing, scratching goblins retaliated with fireballs of their own, putting down their clubs to allow themselves to keep scratching. The aim of the three oncoming balls of fire wasn't quite on point due to the distractions that hit on a mental level, but they were very close to their targets, not off by much. Floramon was a foot away from being toasted, and Gotsumon jumped back to avoid a hit, himself, but the fireballs kept coming. The Goblimon group was more proficient with fireball use and had no trouble dishing out volleys of them despite the itchiness - which was slowly starting to wear off.
"Keep fighting, Gotsumon!" While dodging the attacks, Floramon raised her orb which emitted a green light. "[[Thorny Orb]]!" Rose thorn projectiles were created and launched at the goblins. Two saw it coming and dodged; one was stabbed with a small number of thorns and roared in pain; another was bombarded with many, bursting into pixels as he was unable to contain his feelings of pain and suffering.
"You got 'im!" Gotsumon was impressed. "!!" Floramon, however, was quick to realize what happened and wanted to try something: absorbing a digimon's data before it dissipated. Unfortunately, the timing wasn't good for her. While she was in the process of absorbing the data - which surprised Gotsumon (and Katrina) - Floramon was met with a fireball which blasted her to the ground. Stunned, she slowly rose to her feet. "I-I was so close...---!" At that time, she saw a charging Goblimon come up and swing his club at her like a baseball bat against her body.

"Floramo---!!" Gotsumon was unfortunately busy with the Goblimon that had a few thorns in him. That one had removed them and charged in at the rock digimon, intending to use its head as a baseball.
The plant digimon tumbled forcibly along the ground from the blow. The aggressor cackled. Once she stopped, Floramon had to take a moment to collect herself. Soon, she saw Rina and remembered the whole point of this battle.
"H-Hey...!" She called back to the redhead who watched from a distance against the wall. "Help me...!" Katrina could just barely hear her over the sounds of battle. And while that was going on, Gotsumon had a 2-on-1 fight on his hands. The slugger Goblimon was approaching his downed prey with quite the satisfied toothy grin on his face.
"For what you did to one o' us...," referring to the deleted Goblimon, "I'm gonna enjoy makin' you suffer...." clapping the club in his free hand. "That includes rippin' that pretty petal clean off yer head. I'm sure we can get a good price for it. ...Just as I'm sure you'll fetch a good price, yerself. Nyeheh."
Floramon could barely move. She pleaded to Rina again for digivolution aid, but Rina clearly re-iterated, "I don't what that is...!!"
Floramon grimaced. Things were looking really bad...! Gotsumon was being overwhelmed by the two Goblimon, whacked into the stone wall.
"Hehah! At least he's got a little strength in 'im!" The other goblin rose from the ground, having gotten hit by a flailing fist. "Ngh.... Heavy lifting'll be good enough for the rockhead. He should sell well for that, right?"
Rina didn't know what to do. She couldn't really fight - much less against monsters; she watched a lot of anime fights, but she wasn't stupid enough to try and hold her own against these guys. Truthfully, in her eyes, they all needed to get out of there, pronto! She considered simply creating a distraction, but if Floramon and Gotsumon can't hustle it outta there, not only would it be pointless, but she'd be putting herself in undeniable danger that she wouldn't be able to get out of. But she couldn't just leave the two digimon there...! She didn't have time to really think it over, either.
So with clenched teeth and hesitation, she rushed forth and---

She rushed forth and--- a fireball blast crashed in front of Rina which halted her like a cat! She looked to where it came from; one of the double-teaming Goblimon wagged his finger. "We'll get to you in a minute." His voice then got deeper and darker. "Don't make us do something we'll regret...!"
Meanwhile, the goblin over Floramon pulled out what seemed to be a set of archaic-like handcuffs with digi-text around each cuff. He grabbed one of Floramon's arms. As she tried to pull her arm away, he latched one of the cuffs to it. Uncontrollably, her mind and body weakened a little - on top of feeling beat up already. "Heheh. Giving up, huh? Good. Things could've been worse otherwise."
Meanwhile, the other two goblins attached both ends of the cuffs to Gotsumon, who really felt a massive drain to his energy. His will to fight seemed to fade away; his magic orb laid to rest on the ground. Those two goblins laughed while Katrina looked on in fear. She couldn't do anything for those digimon any longer. All she could do was stand and watch as those that befriended her were captured by bad digimon.
Floramon was about to have her other arm fitted with the other attached cuff, when suddenly,
"[[Flame Orb]]!!" From behind, a fireball rammed into the Goblimon and blasted him over and off of Floramon. Everyone in the area heard the attack.
"Wha---!?" On his hands and knees, the goblin looked back, only to be bombarded by several more fireballs. "H---h'waaaah!!"
The other two goblin digimon watched in shock as another of their brethren was destroyed. They glared at the attacker; Gotsumon and Floramon wearily strained their eyes to get a glimpse of the one who attacked. The voice, to them, was familiar. For Katrina, the cloaked orange wool wasn't something she would forget.

Standing maybe 20 yards from Floramon, a cloaked figure with orange wool held a magic orb. Katrina would never forget such an appearance; it was the man-sheep digimon from Mistymon's school hut! However... its voice surprised the redhead, as... it wasn't masculine.
"...? A girl's voice?"
Meanwhile, the remaining goblin duo charged toward the sheep digimon, intending to rush and out maneuver her as they did with Gotsumon. "Yer gonna pay for that!" "And we won't go easy on you, either!"
The girl-sheep looked in their direction, her face mostly covered by the darkness within the cloak. With both sheep-like 'hands,' she held her orb and built up blue energy within it. She then called out, "[[Aqua Orb]]!!" with a pressurized blast of water spewing out from the magical purple sphere.
With the intention of evading fireballs, one of the goblins was surprised to see a stream of water. His momentary lapse allowed the blast to impact his body, forcing him back against the stone wall with harsh impact, knocking him out. The other goblin wasn't quite as easy to hit, however. He dodged the initial attack, running more to the right. With the beam of water now directed towards him, he jumped high into the air to dodge it a second time. He readied his club. "Now you're mine!"
The water attack stopped as the sheep digimon slightly looked upward, keeping the cloak over its face. Adjusting her hold on the orb, she fired the water blast into the air. With that airborne goblin unable to maneuver, he was struck and was shot up higher and much further back from where his jump had begun. Thankfully, he wasn't that big of a target; made launching him all the easier.
"Whoa~...!" Rina watched as the Goblimon flew by overhead.

The goblins seemed to be taken care of. The female sheep digimon hurried over to Floramon. Seeing what was going on, Rina did the same towards Gotsumon.
Floramon cringed angrily as she glared at her savior. "Ngh...! .... What are you doing here...?"
"...." Silence for a moment. "...I changed my mind. Got a problem with that...?" The sheep's annoyance-filled eyes were barely visible from Floramon's point of view. The floral digimon was quick to respond with strained energy, "---I always do; today's no different...!"
The sheep took hold of Floramon's cuffed arm. She looked it over for a moment, staring at keyhole. She then looked over to where she destroyed the goblin that was here. Searching around, she found a key set that was dropped - just what she was looking for. She walked back, looking at the bunch of keys. She wondered which one opens these cuffs
"Are you okay...?" Katrina asked. "My head feels weird.... Like I'm trying to remember something, but I can't." "Huh? ...."
Meanwhile, Floramon was about have her cuff unlocked and removed, but... the sheep digimon simply stood over her, gazing at her. ".... .... ...."
Underneath the damage she had taken, Floramon's head felt mostly the same as Gotsumon's, figuratively. Despite that, she glared. ".... Lammon...."
"...What were you guys doing over here?" the cloaked sheep asked imposingly. Floramon couldn't tell her of the intentions she had, so she clammed up and glanced away as the sheep digimon added, "This is the back of the city. Did you forget where the entrance was from the last time we were here?"
".... ...."
"...."
"...---Can you get this off me already...! ...---! HEY...!"
Since the floral digimon wouldn't answer and became irritated, the sheep digimon walked away from her.
"We'll talk when you're ready to." She headed towards Rina and Gotsumon who were watching in the distance. They were also waiting, as Rina didn't have a set of keys with her to free the rock digimon.

Rina raised a brow to the fact that the sheep didn't help Floramon, but she remained quiet - at least until the cloaked mon neared them. ".... Why didn't you uncuff her?""...Sorry. Floramon was being irresponsible. I don't know what she's thinking, but she put you guys in danger and won't own up to it." Rina replied as the sheep-mon began to uncuff Gotsumon. "W-Well don't blame her too much. We did run into those goblins---.""---I'm saying you shouldn't have run into them in the first place.""...? Whaddya mean...?"".... [Sigh.]" The sheep finished unshackling Gotsumon, who "Thanks" her, then she pointed in the direction that the group came from. "The entrance to the city's over that way. Floramon was taking you the longest way around possible.""What...?" was Gotsumon's response. "So she didn't know the way after all!?"After a bit more silence, "Y'don't forget way that easily - especially her. .... .... She was up to something, and she got you two into trouble because of it. .... I'll help her when she's ready to apologize."The three of them looked on as Floramon rose to her feet. She looked over; seeing everyone gaze at her, she looked away. The cloaked sheep sighed again, "Whatever," then she turned to Katrina. "We should get moving. Let's go - back the way you came." The mon-sheep led the way while Rina and Gotsumon hesitantly followed, looking back Floramon's way to see that she wasn't even trying to get to them. "Floramon...." Gotsumon mumbled, feeling a little sad. This was likely where they would part ways with the floral digimon.... =====[END TOPIC]===== =====[Continued HERE]=====
