Juro managed to climb into his upstairs bedroom while holding onto the egg he had just found at the river. Without any noise, he set it on his desk and stared at it for a moment. I wonder where this egg could be from, he thought to himself as he studied it closely. And why was that device strapped onto it? This is all very strange. He turned his computer on and began to search the internet for anything that could provide information on this mysterious egg. What he didn’t realize, however, was that in the midst of his search, the Egg began to crack. After suddenly hearing the sound of the Egg beginning to hatch, Juro immediately dropped what he was doing to marvel at this new development.
The egg shook and shook. Suddenly, a slight crack began to form on the top of it. The crack slowly made its way around the whole egg until it finally burst open, revealing two tiny creatures. They were both shaped vaguely like soccer balls; one was purple with pointy ears and a white muzzle, and the other was light blue with gold markings and a little horn on top of its head. They both muttered, “Dodo dodo,” and “Keto keto,” faintly. Juro gasped and backed away from the little creatures on his desk. What were these things, anyway?
Juro took another look at the egg shell from which these twin creatures hatched, which had apparently disintegrated, leaving another device in its wake. This one was shaped like a big rectangle, and was gray with black grips similar to Juro’s other device. It seemed to have a lid on the top, so Juro opened it to reveal that it had a small display on it. When he pointed it at one of the creatures, a picture of it came up on the screen. A few button clicks gave Juro some info. The purple creature’s name was Dodomon, and its level was Fresh, whatever that meant. The blue blob’s name was Ketomon, and it was also Fresh level.
“This has to be a dream,” Juro sighed. “I’ll just lay in bed and pretend I’m asleep, and when I actually wake up, none of this will have happened.” He put the device next to the other one on his desk and finally fell asleep.
