"I can help?" Elliot's smile lit up so much, he was practically glowing. Within seconds, he had somehow already made it to Alicia's side to give her a big hug of gratitude. It was still such a huge shock to Isaac just how fast Elliot could move with that bad leg of his. "That's gonna be the best! Thank you, thank you, thank you!" Isaac couldn't help but start smiling as well. Nothing cheered him up more than seeing his brother in such high spirits. Even if the little bastard caused him a ton of trouble about the whole Maia thing.
Then Elliot let go, and the group started going on their merry way. However, Isaac couldn't help but notice Alicia mentioning a quick aside about calling somebody. "Missing someone from back home?" he asked. It wasn't like he had too much of that feeling. Most of California since the divorce was a blur of relocating, and gaining people, and losing people, and overall chaos. Ironically, it seemed his most stable group of friends was starting to crystallize right here in Japan over this summer vacation. Still, even if he couldn't understand what Alicia was feeling right now, he figured he might as well offer him up as a listening ear for it. That's what friends are for in the end, right?

Alicia yelped a bit in surprise as Elliot suddenly hugged her. It was a bit jarring, suddenly having the crippled boy at her side. She had to wonder just how well he'd managed to overcome his injury to be able to move so rapidly despite it. Still, it wasn't something she was going to ask about unless they brought it up first. She had a strong feeling it involved sore memories the two didn't want to deal with. "Yeah, you can help out." She confirmed, before looking over at Isaac.
"You could say that. I actually have two older brothers myself. Unfortunately our desired pursuits resulted in us having to split apart. We still keep each other close in our hearts though, but that doesn't mean I don't miss them from time to time." The redhead explained, pulling out her locket and opening it up. She smiled softly at the picture for a moment before closing it again and putting it away. It didn't take a genius to know the locket had a family picture in it.
"...You know, I'm not opposed to using Mercurialdramon to fly us back to Terminus City, now that the thought occurs to me." Alicia mused softly.

Isaac couldn't help but smile at Alicia's response. Now, missing brothers? That was a feeling he understood perfectly! Isaac had a feeling if he and Elliot were ever separated for too long, they'd both have huge holes in their hearts. The two had been a package deal since Elliot was born, all the more so since his injury, and basically inseparable since the divorce. Life without Elliot was a life Isaac just couldn't imagine, especially while they were still so young. In the future they'd have to go their separate was, but for the time being they were a team no matter what. "Think you can invite them over to visit at some point?" Isaac asked, curious. "It'd probably do a lot to help boost your spirits, and I bet they'd love checking out Japan."
Elliot, meanwhile, found himself incredibly excited by mention of Mercurialdramon. "Yes! Mercurialdramon's so cool!" he cheered. "Even if he's really scary."
"Aha! So you were spying on us!" Isaac declared, taunting Elliot with a dramatic point and a smile of triumph.
"Okay, maybe it was a bit more like ten minutes," Elliot said. "Still, thanks for the offer, Alicia!"

Alicia chuckled softly, smiling. "I was just thinking the same thing, Isaac. I'd enjoy having them around again after so long. It's been... I think about two years since I last saw them face to face? At least one year straight, I know that much." She chuckled softly, spinning her D-Scanner around. Seeing as it was just for a brief flight, she left out the chant and more dynamic evolution sequence entirely, settling for a mention of "Beast Spirit Evolution!" before a sphere of light shrouded her transformation back into Mercurialdramon.
"And for the record, Elliot." She began, leveling a stare towards the limping brother. "I'm still a woman, even transformed like this! All my forms to date are female!" She wanted the deeper voice of Mercurialdramon to really drive home the point that she did not appreciate the wrong pronoun being used to reference her. Still, the liquid dragon crouched down, shunting the majority of her mass into her wings, bloating them up into massive but thin limbs easily able to get enough lift to bring her and her passengers-to-be airborne. Then she shifted some mass around on her back, forming make shift seats for them to settle into and secure themselves in for the flight.
"Anyways, all aboard Air Dragon! This the final boarding call!" Alicia chimed once she was done, grinning at her silly little joke.

Elliot looked very embarrassed at his slip-up the very second he made it. While he was hoping not to be called out on it, Alicia's ears were too sharp to be avoided. "I'm really sorry, Alicia," he said, looking down at his feet. The transformative properties of spirit users were still really confusing to him. Especially when he fused with Isaac. Sharing a consciousness with his own brothers was still one of the weirdest feelings in the world. This time, though, he had just sort of unconsciously botched up. "Won't happen again, promise!" With that he and Isaac climbed onto the dragon's back, the duo marveling at how her whole body seemed to shift to make her form more flight-worthy. The big wings were one thing, but chairs? Seriously? This was so cool!
"What, not morphing up some cupholders and an in-flight movie?" Isaac joked. Sure, Alicia probably couldn't turn into a TV, but it made Isaac wonder just how much Mercurialmon was able to do that he and Elliot didn't even know about. Frankly, it was one of the most amazing Digimon forms that either of the two brothers had seen so far. "Seriously though, thanks for always sticking your neck out for us. We owe you big time," he admitted shortly thereafter.
For now, though, it was time to get back to the human world for some dinner. Elliot and Isaac sat back and relaxed, watching the horizon as they prepared to majestically fly off into the sunset. And to think this all started over a silly text!

"It's alright," Alicia answered back. "I get that transforming from human to digimon to back again can be very confusing. I can't even begin to imagine how odd it is for you two to be able to fuse together like that. I think I'd go crazy if I were in a similar situation." The Mercurialdramon chuckled to herself, rolling her eyes at Isaac's joke. She beat her massive wings once, twice, and leaped into the air on the third flap, carrying the trio high into air just in the initial take off.
The sheer insane amount of dust she'd kicked up away from them in the backwash of her wings flapping was testament to just how much power they had right now with so much mass diverted to making them large and strong. It was no wonder that they'd rose hundreds of feet up just in the initial jump, and were climbing even higher with each following beat. Once they'd hit a comfortable height that Alicia wouldn't have to keep her focus on where she was going all the time, she angled herself towards Terminus City and started gliding.
Now she could address Isaac's joke. "Well you guys didn't have any drinks to set down. And honestly...? I just might be able to do in-flight movies like that if I knew what made a a DVD or Blu-ray player and speakers work..." Wait what? "Right now, though, I don't know for sure. This form has so much utility it's actually kinda stupid..." Alicia couldn't help but chuckle a bit at the admission.

"Ugh, I know, right?" Elliot said. It was one thing to have spirits of ancient power in your head all the time. To have your own brother? It was awful! There was a reason why they never broke out VictoryImpmon unless they needed to, and still had yet to even try fusing these two forms. "We haven't needed to fuse in a while, thankfully. I'm really, really hoping it doesn't come up too often. I like being me way better." Still, the mental image of being able to peep in on Isaac's thoughts was a temptingly hilarious one. Usually they were too focused on the heat of the battle to notice their thoughts intermingling, but every so often he found himself giggling because he realized just what Isaac was thinking about during one of their fused fights.
"Why do you have to be so awesome? You're making us look bad!" Isaac protested. Seriously? Mercurialdramon could do all of that and probably more? Suddenly Isaac was thankful that nobody showed her the schematics to, say, a nuclear detonator. Or a weather machine. He was finding himself completely glad that Alicia was a hero with a heart of gold and not a future tyrant in training. He just hoped he and Elliot would ever be able to stack up to her. At least it seemed like she believed in them wholeheartedly, and would help serve as a mentor figure of sorts.
Isaac couldn't help but remember her mentioning her brothers so soon after dealing with the duo of dorks, though. He was sure it was just coincidence. Surely he wasn't being turned into some kind of surrogate little brother, right?

Alicia laughed at Isaac's complaining. She did kind of make the two look kind of bad, didn't she? But she couldn't help it! She didn't control what forms she got! Not really at least. To put it in poker terms, it felt like she was dealt a straight flush while Isaac and Elliot were dealt fours of a kind or something. Not the absolute best of the best in comparison, but certainly very high up there.
"What can I say? With the price of dealing with a pair of chatter boxes in my head 24/7, I won big on the metaphorical lottery when it came to Digimon forms. Now I have an obligation to help others grow the powers they've gotten to something truly impressive as well, eh?" oh yeah... that certainly hinted that she was starting to treat them as surrogate siblings in the absence of her two older brothers. The situations were too alike to be ignored. Two brothers of similar age groups, both on the same side age-wise compared to her. The only difference was the Elliot and Isaac were younger then her, not older.
And they knew at least some of the tale of how badly she took it, seeing them nearly die just because they were around to help her with her Spirit Hunt. If either of them looked at all the evidence, it at least strongly suggested it was more then just coincidence.
Alicia shook her head, and started to beat her wings again, transitioning from leisurely gliding into full powered flight. Looked she wanted to pick up the pace for some reason. Likely, though, she was just simply getting more and more hungry as time went on.

Isaac found himself smiling a little as he realized that they had a shared motivation. Whatever the case, both he and Alicia were given these strange powers through what felt like pure dumb chance. They may not have looked like the most typical heroes, but with their gifts surely they had to step up when nobody else would. If they didn't, what were these spirits even good for? His main worry was the third common denominator here, Elliot. Isaac felt comfortable taking care of himself, and with how badass Alicia was Isaac became increasingly sure that she could kick a small army's collective ass. But Elliot? He was just so, well, Elliot! Isaac trusted risking him as much as he could throw him. Considering how unaerodynamic Elliot was, that meant there was a lot of worry.
"Well, you sure said the bar for impressive high. But hey, if I keep working at it little by little, maybe you'll be the one surrendering at swordpoint," he commented. Alicia had made one critical change to Isaac's routine. She gave him a goal, a measuring stick to constantly stand up to. Even if he currently came up quite a bit short, he knew there was no chance in hell that he would let Alicia pass him by entirely. Even if she already had to a large degree, he would keep forging on ahead in hopes of maybe being able to go toe to toe with her. Who knows? Maybe at some point he'd be the one impressing her!
Nah. Isaac found that pretty hard to believe. Still, being a sidekick to such a cool person wasn't so bad of a gig either.

"Me? Surrendering to you?" Alicia asked playfully, grinning. "We'll see in due time, just know that neither of us are anywhere near topped out in power. We both have a couple spirit totems left to gather." That was a thing wasn't it? Elliot and Isaac only had access to champion-level spirits from what she knew, and she herself had just now scraped the surface of the beast spirits with this fraction form. That got her curious though.
"Hey Sol... can I get a rough estimate of how many I still have to gather...?" She asked curiously to the Steel Spirit. If anyone would know, he would. Or Kisara would. She didn't really mind who answered her as long as she did get an answer.
"You're looking at... I believe six spirits still, kid." Sol responded, nodding his head. "You have many paths open to you, and to access our full power, you'll need to explore all of them to the very end."
The answer caused her to physically flinch, likely jostling her passengers a bit. "S-S-S-Six!? Six!? Are you kidding me!?" The Mercurialdramon groaned openly. "Uuuuugh... Why me...?"
"Because all this awesome comes at a price silly, didn't you know that already? You've been hard at work gathering them as soon as you could." Kisara noted, and Alicia wasn't sure whether the giggle was helpfully or not. Most likely not... Well, she certainly had her hands full...

"Six?" Isaac asked, visibly shocked. "You've already got, like, five! Elliot and I only have two each." How many more spirits were there for them to find? How long would they have to be adventuring for? It took them all this time just to find their first two besides the tiny Veemon and Impmon, and here Alicia was being told she'd have to find almost a dozen of them. It looked like they would have a lot of work to do before they could get even half of the spirits they sought. Even then, they would have far less time to spend in the Digital World due to school, social lives, and just sheer distance. Would California even have a portal to access the Digital World through? Would they have to comb the country just to find one?
Oh well. That would be the future. For now, they were going to have an awesome day with a good friend. Isaac figured it'd be time to take a page out of Elliot's book and live a little bit more in the moment. "Well, hey, if you ever need a hand you know who you can turn to," Isaac said. He seemed to have a lot better luck helping others find their spirits than locating his own, so far. Maybe his luck would turn around, but for now Yasyamon and Strikedramon were the best that the brothers could use. At least if they didn't rush, they would have more time to hone the duo's abilities instead of blindly charging into more spirits they had no time to master.

"Yeah, yeah I do..." Alicia groaned in return, shaking her head. "Though I think this also falls under the 'details change from user to user' thing Sol was talking about earlier. I would be surprised if you guys had as many spirits to find as I do. Still..." The Mercurialdramon grinned. "I suppose it makes sense I have so many. There's a trend in my forms after all. A Dark line, a Light line, and a Neutral line..." ShadowArmsdramon, in both name and appearance, did evoke a sense of darkness, though not exactly 'evil.' Meanwhile SolSaberdramon was noble and bright, a dead ringer for the mentioned Light line. Steeldramon and Mercurialdramon, though, were somewhere in the middle. They were certainly Steel in nature, but they didn't lean one way or another. As Alicia had demonstrated, though, threading the line between the extremes allowed these forms an exceptional amount of flexibility though, which the Spirit User could employ to devastating effect.
"Ah! I see Terminus City on the horizon! Hang on tight!" Alicia called, her wings hammering against the air around them as she picked up speed. It wouldn't take much longer for the trio to be homeward bound. And then on to a filling meal everyone could enjoy! It certainly seemed that Alicia was done chatting for now at least.
