Juro, Monodramon, and Dorumon had immediately started the day by going straight from Japan to the Digital World, as a notification on Juro’s D-Terminal had informed him that it had two Digimentals that were compatible with his Digimon in the Binary Jungle. These items were apparently able to let your Digimon Digivolve to the special Armor class. The fact that both Monodramon and Dorumon’s Digimentals had showed up at the same time in the same place was pretty lucky for the three of them. Saved them the trouble of going all the way around the Digital World, at the very least.
After getting off the train in Terminus City, the party of three hastily made their way down to the Binary Jungle. After a while, it started to get pretty humid. “Juro, it’s really hot,” Dorumon complained.
"How much longer until we find these Digimentals?"
"Quit whining, Dorumon!" Monodramon scolded. His brother really could be such a pain sometimes. Though, come to think of it, it was starting to get a bit muggy out. On top of that, the three of them had rushed off into the jungle in such a hurry that they had forgotten to eat breakfast! As if on cue, Monodramon's stomach began to growl.
Juro sighed. His Digimon partners were cool sometimes, but most of the time it just felt like they were there to get on his nerves. He smiled, though, as it was still nice to have someone to talk to. He didn't really get much of that back home in the real world. "All right, you two," he sighed. "I guess if we have to make a quick pit stop, I may have brought some food along!" He found a clearing in the undergrowth and sat down to open his backpack. Inside was a bunch of snacks and water bottles!
"All right!" The twins cheered in unison. The three of them sat in the clearing and ate a quick snack and drank some water. Juro took special note of how quickly the both of them tried to shove everything in their mouths. In fact, every Digimon he had seen eat so far always ate like they hadn't eaten in days, no matter how long it had been since their last meal.
When the group had finished, Juro began to pick everything up and put it back in his backpack. While he was doing that, Dorumon and Monodramon heard a rustling in the bushes. Without warning, they were suddenly attacked by a flurry of ninja stars that landed all around them. Dorumon and Monodramon got on either side of Juro in order to protect him.
"Who's there?" Monodramon demanded. "Come out and fight like a 'mon!" Monodramon's demand was only met with cackling and the throwing of more ninja stars. After barely managing to dodge the onslaught, two figures emerged from the vines and bushes.
"I am Ninjamon!" said one of the enemies. He was pretty short, only having arms and legs with no torso. He wore some pretty traditional ninja gear and carried a giant shuriken and a short sword. Standing with him seemed to be an exact copy of him, except he was wearing purple instead of red. "Together, my brother Kogamon and I will defeat any intruders in the jungle!" The two of them prepared to strike, but Juro and his Digimon had already run off.
"Those were Champion level Digimon," Juro read from the D-Terminal as they ran. "There's no way you two will be able to handle them unless we find those Digimentals." Just then, a giant temple came into view, reminiscent of the ancient Mayans' old temples. Seeing no other option, Juro lead his team into the temple. "It looks like we'll have to hide here until those guys lose interest-"
Juro was suddenly cut off by the sound of an explosion. Ninjamon and Kogamon had easily caught up to them and used some technique to seal off the entrance with rubble. Dorumon and Monodramon tried to clear all the rocks and debris out of the way, but there was way too much for them to handle.
"What do we do, boss?" Monodramon asked his Tamer. "Any other day I'd have these rocks out of the way no problem, but I think I ate too much earlier." He started to give a flex, but then held his stomach to show just how full and lethargic he apparently was.
"J-Juro?" Dorumon whimpered. "Are we going to be stuck in here forever?" The look that Dorumon gave Juro was one of true terror. Juro knew the guy was a bit timid, but he had never seen the little guy so scared before. That made him angry. Nobody was going to hurt his partners while he was around, least of all some uncultured, savage Digimon.
Just then, Juro's Digivice started going crazy. He checked the scanner to see one of the Digimentals was actually in the same room as they were, directly behind Dorumon. He took a good look at the object. It was a simple, egg-shaped figure; it was smooth and white with a black emblem on the front. He walked over to the pedastal that the Digimental was on and picked it up effortlessly. Smirking, he turned to his Digimon. "You guys ready to show those two what this team can do?" Getting enthusiastic nods from both Monodramon and Dorumon, Juro held the Digimental aloft and spoke the magic words, "Digi-Armor, energize!" A bright light engulfed the room, and then Dorumon began to morph to his Armor form.
"Dorumon Armor Digivolve to...Raptordramon, the Whisper of Humility!"
The Armor Digimon sprang into action almost immediately. Raptordramon immediately charged into the rubble with his Metal Wing Strike, revealing the shocked Ninjamon and Kogamon, who had been caught up in the explosion and slightly injured. Raptordramon immediately followed up with a Dragon Breath, seemingly destroying the two enemy Digimon. With that, Juro and Monodramon immediately ran and hopped onto Raptordramon's back, and the three of them took to the skies and made their way further into the jungle, their mission in the jungle having been partially completed.
"Nice work, you guys," Juro praised. "It was a bit rocky there for a while, but we pulled through." Both Raptordramon and Monodramon groaned at the unintentional pun that Juro had made, but then all three of them had a good laugh about it. It was rare for Juro to make a joke, and even rarer for him to laugh at something, but there was something about these two that made him feel happy. He checked the D-Terminal for the other Digimental's signal, and found that it wasn't too far away. "Alright, Raptordramon. Let's land over there."
