Yet once again, Mana's story began due to her just wandering around. She felt like she wasn't curious about this place, but more like... as if she was searching for something. Maybe she was looking for the identity she couldn't remember? Just her name would do, or at least a clue about who she was. Even a hint about these eggs she had been carrying around all this time would suffice.
Those thoughts were driven away as soon as they went through their normal course; thinking about what would she do if she never found out who she were, and even if she did, if that would help her get rid of this sensation of hollowness. Sometimes, she wondered if she wasn't surprised by these places and concepts because she already knew them, or just because she couldn't bring herself to care about them.
Anyhow, into the landscape. This seemed to be pretty humid jungle, the heat being kind of a nuisance, but not something truly crippling; maybe she used to live in a warm area? Sometimes she wondered how the city where she lived looked, or what was her house like... even if that had no point at all, at least for now.
She decidedly shook her head, trying to chase those thoughts away; today, they were more persistent than usual, for some reason.
At least it seemed that today was kind of her lucky day. Near her, she saw a stream of crystalline water running through, and closing her distance towards it, she decided to splash some of it on her face after placing the three eggs gently on the ground nearby; partly to clean some of the sweat off her face, partly in an more conscious effort to clear her head a bit.
Deciding to rest for a moment, she sat besides them afterwards, letting out a long sigh as she did so. Well, at least she had to admit that this place was beautiful.

The Digital World could be described by many adjectives. Beautiful was easily one of them. Serene, on the other hand, was not. It was a wild, untamed world where anything could happen at any given moment.
Like a four-armed dragon knight bursting out of the river, wrestling a sea serpent into submission.
The sounds of an impending fight would coming echoing from upstream, distant grunts, punching, and roars muffled by the water. The serene babbling of the river gave way to frantic, uneven splashes, only intensifying in sound and frequency as the battle began moving downstream. Occasionally a thin, teal tail or a shining silver shield shot out of a water, a sign that there were participants in this battle instead of just phantom noises. However, once the fight reached Mana's location it seemed to slow down, the thrashing waves stopping and giving way to calm ripples at the river's surface.
That was when the source of the commotion, a Seadramon, fully breached from the waves. Its long body twisted back and forth as it roared, firing an ice-blue beam into the sky with a swing of its head. A smaller Digimon was currently engaged in combat with the leviathan, two of its four arms wrapped around its neck and the other two repeatedly punching it in the side of the head. It seemed to be a knightly dragon of sorts, and judging by the many scratches and dents in its armor the two combatants had been at this for a while.
After a few seconds of this stalemate, the knight seemed to have an idea. It reached out for the light, turning one of the reflective shields on its wrist in the Seadramon's direction. The light blinded it, giving the knight an opportunity to swing from Seadramon's neck to its back. Once properly mounted the knight drew four swords from its holsters, holding them together as a swirl of flame bound them with one another. Once connected the knight bore them down on Seadramon's head at once, sending the Seadramon sinking beneath the waves.
It surfaced shortly after, head and tail lowered in a show of nonaggression. It began retreating downstream, returning back in the direction of the Digital Sea. As it swam off into the distance the dragon knight re-emerged from the waves, leaping onto the banks of the stream. It breathed heavily, part from exertion after such a grueling fight and part to greedily gobble up all of the oxygen it was deprived of while underwater. Nevertheless, it called out after the Seadramon. "Don't let us catch you here again!" it shouted, dramatically pointing. "You've given those Swimmon more than enough trouble already."
Of course, in how caught up the knight was playing superhero, it didn't seem to notice Mana at first.

So much for peace, huh? Given the relative silence that permeated the atmosphere in before, a disturbance within it was a lot more notorious that it should. First, it was the sound, then the water growing agitated; Mana knew that whatever was happening, it was most likely a fight, but she didn't do anything to leave where she was. It was both scary and dangerous... but she didn't felt scared, and didn't look like she cared a lot about the danger, either. She had the feeling that she probably couldn't outrun anything in this place anyway. Especially if it was after her.
She did however take some (or a lot, rather) steps back as soon as she realized that whatever was coming was pretty big. And probably more than one thing. Two lizards; one that looked a bit like a knight while the other seemed to be the archetypal sea serpent. As she suspected, they seemed to be fighting each other; one was way bigger than the other, but Mana had the sensation that size hardly mattered in this situation.
The fight itself was amazing, in a sense, even if... a little familiar. Not the combatants, but the situation itself; maybe she used to fight against stuff like this too? Sinking into her thoughts in a moment like this was dangerous for sure, but she couldn't but to try to remember why this situation looked so... familiar.
Fight over by the time she deemed those thoughts as useless, she stared at the victor for a second, barely containing a giggle at the colorful speech the digimon had given. Playing hero, huh? That sounded like fun.
"That was kinda amazing, lizard guy." She called out to him, not really afraid after what he'd said. Even if she had been distracted for most of the fight, she had to admit that skill was shown back there. Probably more than what she had ever seen in the relatively short time she'd been awake.

Suddenly there was a giggle. The dragon knight looked around, long red hair swishing as he turned back and forth to try and find the source. Two hands protectively hovered over a pair of blades on his left side, the other two hanging peacefully and loosely at his side. Once Mana started to talk he was better able to pinpoint her location, turning around to face her. From here, a few more of his features were obvious. Like the steely mask with a third eye etched on it, for example. Or the unevenly-designed pants, one leg green and the other white. He looked even more banged-up and worn out from the front, the shield on his upper right arm almost completely bent in half from the battle.
Once his eyes met Mana's, they widened in shock. And then he promptly split into two, as if repelled apart.
The fused Digimon had split into the radiant silhouette of two, the mysterious masked swordsman Yasyamon and the shark-like brawling dragon Strikedramon. Of course, this was only for a few brief seconds, the silhouettes shortly after starting to shift in shape. Their heights shrunk down by at least 2 feet, their features softened, and they lost the long hair, tails, and armor that identified them as Digimon. The light surrounding them and masking their features faded as they hit the ground, and soon Mana would be seeing not one Digimon but two human boys around her age.
They peeled themselves off the ground and looked up, each moving to speak at the same time.
"What are you doing here?"
"Are you okay?"
Immediately they looked at each other, realizing that they had split right when they were in the middle of acknowledging Mana. Horror dawned on their faces as they realized what had just happened. Sure, it wasn't like they blew their secret in the middle of the Human World, but this was a horrible way of introducing themselves to someone new! The younger of the two, Elliot, blushed a little as he tried to find an idea.
"I, uh, I mean, we, hm-"
"We can explain!" the older one, Isaac, blurted out.

Seemingly, the digimon finally noticed Mana as soon as she referred to him. What happened later, however, wasn't something that she expected, but... it wasn't something that surprised her, either. How the digimon first split into two digimon, and then each digimon into a young boy. Looking at them closely, they seemed to be around her age? Well, at least that was the impression they gave. She couldn't make out of the two seemed preoccupied or if they just were asking for courtesy, but before she could answer, they began to act somewhat... strangely. Maybe they thought she was puzzled due to what had just happened? Well, maybe that was how she was supposed to feel, but... she felt as if that wasn't a new experience; not exactly a deja vu, but there was still a lingering sensation of familiarity about it.
This time, resisting the urge to giggle at the awkward show the two did became even harder.
"There, there, boys. No need to be frantic." She said calmly, with a smile. "I've seen people doing what you did before. Well, I think, I had, at least! For some reason, it wasn't really surprising to see that, so I guess that's the case."
Mana didn't know how to explain that better, but that was just how she felt. Forgetting about pretty much anything, but still feel as if most of the things she lived weren't something new was something... weird, to say the least.
"Oh, by the way. Going around asking questions without introducing yourselves is kind of rude, you know?" the redhead added, somewhat teasingly, but mostly intending it as a joke. "To answer them; I'm here because I wanted to see if I could remember anything about this place and I'm fine, even if a little tired. Thanks for asking."
Shrugging a bit, she bowed slightly at the pair, as if formally presenting herself.
"Pleased to meet you, by the way. I'd tell you my name, but I don't know it yet. Well, more like I don't remember it. Maybe any of you knows it?"
As ridiculous as that sounded, that was the simple truth.

Amazingly enough Mana seemed completely nonplussed by their split. The bros weren't sure whether to be relieved that they didn't just horrify a newcomer to the Digital World or embarrassed over how silly they must have looked just a few moments prior. It was possible she wasn't a newcomer after all, but those eggs next to her were strong indications that it was the case. After all, in their experience most eggs hatched very quickly. There was something very odd about that situation, but Isaac couldn't put his finger on it.
Elliot possibly could've helped if he wasn't currently busy blushing at Mana's teasing. "Sorry about that. We were just worried, that's all," he said shyly.
"Not every day we see people outside the city. Especially ones whose partners haven't hatched quite yet," Isaac added, casting a curious eye over to her eggs. Three? That was new. Even tamers with more eggs than usual, like Shi, only had two. "I'd warn you that it's dangerous, but I'm guessing if you've seen a Digimon suddenly split into two kids before you're already up to speed on how weird it is.
Name's Isaac, by the way. Great to meet you."
"And I'm Elliot. It's my pleasure," the younger brother added. Now that he wasn't currently being teased he was starting to warm up to the situation a bit more, even if the smile on his face was still somewhat shy.
The two bowed as they finished introducing themselves. However, their new friend's introduction was way different from what they expected.
"You don't remember? Huh. Anything you do remember?" Isaac asked, fishing for ideas.
Elliot, meanwhile, looked curiosly at Mana. They'd have to share a grade level, right? "I don't think I've seen you in class before, so I'm not sure I know. Sorry!
Is there anything you'd like to be called?"

No need to be that flustered, really. Harmless teasing was supposed to be mostly innocuous, but she had to admit that the shorter, and probably younger boy of the pair looked rather cute when blushing.
"Just a harmless joke, don't mind me. You guys did put an amazing show out there." Even if the fight wasn't something that had caught too much of her attention, she had to admit the fight had been an exciting sight, given its otherwordly nature.
To what the other boy said, however, made her quirk an eyebrow, somewhat curious at that statement. Maybe that was true? Then again, she wasn't sure about it, so she probably wouldn't be able to tell if that was normal or it wasn't.
"It's really that weird? I mean, humans are kind of a weird sight overall in this place, at least as far as I've seen. And cities are... boring, in all honesty. At least the only one I've been to. Beaches are definitely nice and stuff, but they didn't help me a whole lot to remember, so I just kinda kept moving." Punctuating her sentence with a shrug, she followed up. "Pretty much any place in here is dangerous, so..."
She acknowledged the two boys' greetings with a small smile towards them. Isaac and Elliot were pretty names. And that made her wonder if her name was pretty too... Uh, no time for that.
"I don't really remember most about myself and how did I came here, even though this world feels oddly familiar. As if I have been in here before, you know? Feels kinda strange." She made a pause, before adding. "Well, everything feels strange, but I guess that's natural when you suddenly wake up and don't even remember who you are."
Her first sincere smile was given at Elliot after he showed that his concern, at least about finding her name, or at giving her a tentative one. Nobody she had met thus far had been that nice, even if that was a relatively small thing.
"Uh... you can call me whatever, as long as it sounds nice. And simple, if possible; it'd be a pity if I forgot my name twice, don't you think?"
Giggling at her own joke was kind of lame, but situations like these were best fought with some humor. Or at least that's what she thought.

"Heh, thanks," Isaac said, smirking a little with pride. "My bro and I have been at this for a few months now. It was rough going at once, but now we're one hell of a team." The two were starting to become increasingly familiar with their spirit totems, but that was no excuse to start slacking now. The more they went to the Digital World the more people they could help, the more experience they'd be able to get with their forms, and the longer Isaac would be able to ignore studying his English exam for. Honestly, the fact he even needed to take the class boggled Isaac's mind. He was better at English than Japanese! That said, it was either that or get flung into a third language before he had even mastered a second.
The question of weirdness piqued the bros' interests. It seemed like she was very secure in her own safety if she'd take casually walking into the woods, alone and unprotected, as nothing out of the ordinary. Then again, this was the Digital World. The out of the ordinary was ordinary here, and everything was out of the ordinary. Between that, not remembering much, and having not one but three eggs with her, Isaac had the feeling that Mana knew a lot more about the Digital World than anyone here realized. Even Mana herself! At this point, Isaac wouldn't be surprised if a trio of demigods sprung fully-formed from those eggs. He nodded and listened as she went over her memories, or lack thereof. Slowly, the wheels in his head started to turn anew.
Elliot's was turning too, but for other reasons. "I mean, the cities aren't always boring," he said, trying to pull out a few moments from Terminus City that broke the mold. "I mean, there was that time Isaac and I couldn't get home because all the trains were busy having a birthday party. Having the public transportation be alive makes things really weird sometimes." There was also that time Yasuo and Yuudai fused into a nightmarish BlackWarGreymon and almost tore the city apart. That was the way worse kind of weird. It made Elliot realize that if he had his beast spirit by then, maybe he could have at least protect everyone better. There was a bit of sadness in his eyes, but he quickly tried to shake it. After all, there were more concerns to deal with!
Like names. Elliot smiled somewhat sadly at Mana's joke. It was great that she was at peace enough with her condition to joke about it like that, but also kind of sad that this was a concern in the first place. For now, though, he had one job; come up with a temporary name for her while they waited. He looked around curiously, trying to come up with some inspiration, and eventually found himself looking at her hair. "Um . . . how does Red sound?"
Isaac had the blankest look on his face as he stared at his brother. "Really?" he asked, stifling a few snickers. Was that really the best he could come up with? "Come on, Bro. You're the worst at names."
"At least I tried," Elliot said.
Isaac pondered for a second. "How about Haley?" he eventually settled on, figuring he'd at least give Mana an alternative to Elliot's suggestion.

Looked like that Isaac and Elliot were pretty experienced in this kind of thing, huh? That was something nice. Having a brother or a close friend that could share with you something as special as an adventure in another world was one of the best sensations she could imagine.
Huh... why did she know how that felt, though? She had no siblings or friends, after all. Right?
"That much I saw..." She said, externalizing some of the puzzlement she felt without intending to.
Dwelling on it was pointless, however; better to focus on the present. Like Elliot trying to argue that cities weren't boring, mostly due some of the everyday appliances being living beings.
"Well, birthday parties are fun by nature, so they're kind of an exception, don't you think?" A natural response from someone who thought she liked to celebrate stuff. "I mean it in the sense that cities feel... kinda stagnant? You know, the wilderness isn't affected by any routine that isn't day and night. And I might even risk to say that that doesn't even apply all the time."
Why she had said that, however, she didn't know. She got distracted from that at the two of them giving their own suggestion on her temporary name. Seemingly, the options were... Red and Haley.
Welp.
"No offense, but... I think I'll take the one that actually sounds like a name. You know, in case I ever get back to the human world and somebody asks me it, you know?" The girl said a bit teasingly, finding the Isaac's snickers a little too contagious. "Haley, huh? I like its ring. I guess I can get used to it."
Having an identity, even if a temporary one, felt... kinda weird. Almost as if she gotten footing in the unstable mess that was her mind right now. That was nice.
"So... what do you guys usually do in this place? Besides fighting giant sea serpents, I mean. Any reason why you are in this world?"
Given that they could go back to the Human World at any time, they should have a reason to keep coming back here, right? Well, at least that's what she thought.

That was exactly how Isaac tended to think about things. Why stay behind Terminus' safe walls or keep cooped up in Shibuya when adventure was afoot? Sometimes Elliot wished there were more people who agreed with him on these kind of matters. Like Maia, she was sensible! But today Maia wasn't around, and instead it seemed to be a day chock full of adventures. "Yeah. You have a point there," Elliot conceded. "There's so much cool stuff in the Digital World that it would be kind of a waste to spend it all in Terminus." He did have to admit that the wilderness was more dynamic and exciting than the cities, even if sometimes "exciting" meant "terrifying" and "boring" meant "low-key." A lot of the stuff he found exciting about cities was more the little things in life, anyway, and those were definitely not the same kind of exciting Mana and Isaac meant.
Or, for the sake of synchronization in this narration, Haley. The choice that apparently actually sounded like a name. Elliot tried not to let himself look downcast, since judging by her tone she was teasing him again, but that one stung just the tiniest bit. Nevertheless, he found himself joining in the contagious laughter as well. "I guess that one was pretty silly, huh?" he admitted. "Not my best work."
"Guess you're lucky we've got spirits and not partners, eh? Don't even want to think about that poor guy's name," Isaac joked.
What did they do in the Digital World? More like, what didn't they do in the Digital World? "Oh, you know, just the usual," Isaac said, keeping it casual. "Fight off monsters. Help people. Go adventuring-"
"-Procrastinate?" Elliot asked teasingly.
"Ow, hitting where it hurts," Isaac joked back. They were even more casual than usual today, probably still riding high on the adrenaline rush of Seadramon wrestling. "But yeah, there's really no one reason. Just a lot of little things that add up into a pretty cool new world."
"Today we were just relaxing by the lake. It's a really good place for clearing your head after a busy day. But then that Seadramon tried to swim upstream and take it over as his new lair. Thankfully we were able to help fight him off, because the Digimon already living there sure weren't happy about him moving in. So, that's what we were doing here today.
What kind of stuff have you done so far?"

Haley couldn't but do her best to stifle her laughter after Isaac's remark about the name his brother would give to his hypothetical partner. She definitely didn't know Elliot as well as Isaac, but could already imagine what he'd come up with.
But that didn't came to the picture, at least for now. She was actually rather curious about what attracted the duo to the Digital World, and ended up giggling a bit at Elliot finally teasing his brother back. They looked like they were really close. Really endearing, in all honesty.
"I see... I guess the Digital World is awesome enough in its own right." She said, not having thought about it at all before. Maybe because she couldn't compare the two worlds all that much, given that... her memories about them were kinda blurry. Sometimes, she wondered the scarce images she had of her past's landscapes were either from the Human or the Digital World.
How an otherwise tranquil day turned into an adventure attested pretty strongly to that point too. Maybe life in the Human World was rather boring compared to life in here, after all?
"Huh, what I did so far?" The redhead parroted, really surprised at the question. She hadn't expected it. "Well... I've been kinda repeating this routine for a while; I mean, carrying these eggs somewhere, resting a bit, then growing bored of said place and moving onto the next. I've already been on beach, then on a city called... Whitewater, I think? And then to this place. The eggs haven't even given a hint of wanting to hatch, so I guess I'll be carrying them for a looong while. But that's fine, I guess."
She made a pause, before asking something she hadn't thought about before.
"How do you think they'll look like once they hatch? I can't say I'm not kinda expectant to see them..." again, maybe?

Isaac grinned a little at Haley's remark, especially when she elaborated further. He realized that she had only seen the Southern Tropics so far, and maybe a small section if at that. "Trust me, you'll get the chance to see how awesome it is soon enough," he added. "There's still so much more to see than just jungles and beaches. Like towering mountains, and ancient ruins, or these huge cybernetic cities. And hey, maybe if you travel enough here you'll jog your memory a bit."
"Do you think we could find a Trailmon on a long-distance trip?" Elliot asked. "A nice loop around the Digital World could help with that, right?" It seemed the bros were firmly all-in on Operation: Help Haley. But could anything else be expected of the two that were running around like a giant, four-armed superhero just minutes earlier?
At the question of the eggs, the bros peered down curiously. One of them was yellow with black spots, and that one was the most ambiguous. Yellow and black could mean bees, or dogs, or dragons, or really anything. But the other two? Those were nice and clear. The flower-like patterns on them were like nothing either bro had seen before, but at the same time they were unmistakably plant-based. Unless the Digivolution line took a massive swerve midway through, they were headed towards an obvious conclusion.
"Probably a slime at first," Isaac remarked, shrugging. "They all start as slimes at first."
"Really, really cute slimes, though," Elliot interjected.
"But it's what comes after that's the exciting part."
"I can't really put my finger on the first one, but those two right there? Definitely going to be plants," Elliot said.
"They look really similar, too, so you've probably got twins," Isaac pointed out. "See? Turn the orange one just a bit to the left and they've practically got the same pattern on them."
"Spring and autumn colors, maybe?"
"One could always be a fire flower.
. . . What? Digimon are weird. I wouldn't be surprised."
The bros excited chattered among themselves, swapping theories and ideas as they tried to pin down just what Haley's duo would end up looking like. Of course, Isaac made sure to keep an ear out so he could stop and let Haley get a word in edgewise when she wanted in on the brainstorming.

Haley definitely hadn't expected the brothers to care all that much about helping her, even less so that they'd be the ones to devise the plan to actually do that. To say the least, that amount of kindness displayed as if it were the most natural thing in the world had taken her aback.
"R-really? You guys would do that for me? That's so nice of you!" She appreciated that a lot. So much, in fact, that in a quick movement, she closed the relatively short distance between the three of them and hugged both boys tightly.
As an interesting detail, she realized that she was slightly taller than the two of them. And wondered if that was normal or not before forgetting about it altogether.
After letting go and back on the topic of eggs, it seemed that the most popular theory was that at least two of them were twins, and that those could maybe be plants of some kind.
"Twins, huh?" She wasn't really familiar with the term, but she could guess what it meant. "With any luck, they'll be pretty... or fragrant. I'm not entirely sure, but I think I like plants." At least she wasn't allergic, that was for sure.
For some reason, she had a vague sensation of recognition towards the pattern on the green egg, but maybe that was just the absurd amount of time she had spent carrying it.
"I wonder how I'm going to name them once they hatch. Or if they'll recognize me. That'd feel... weird."
After all, someone recognizing you and you not recognizing them back would be awkward at the very least.
No point on dwelling on that for too much time, however.
"So, I take you've already been all around this world. What's the most interesting place here, in your opinion? Can we get there first?"
When it came to traveling, Haley's voice sounded pretty hopeful. Maybe she hadn't realized that yet, but it seemed that she loved the activity.

"Of course we wou-!"
Elliot barely had time to finish before he and Isaac were suddenly swept up in a super tight hug. Isaac seemed to whether the storm well, but Elliot wheezed slightly from the sudden force all at once. He was kind of fragile, after all. Still, the brothers cheerfully returned the hug. It was unexpected, sure, but even surprise hugs were still nice. Aside from the temporary lung squeezing that resulted, of course. Isaac bristled slightly when he realized that yet again he was the shortest person in the room, though. Being shorter than even people younger than him always stung a bit.
"If they look as nice as the patterns on their egg? Yeah, I'm optimistic," Isaac commented, taking another peek at the patterns. They were really intricate and detailed, much more so than the black spots on the other egg. As for fragrant? Jury was out on that one. There probably wouldn't be a reason for them to smell good, but as Isaac mentioned before this was the Digital World. Really, anything could happen here.
At mention of her own Digimon remembering more than her, Elliot frowned a little. That couldn't have been a fun thought at all. "Well, maybe if they do, it'll help jog your memory too?" he suggested, hoping to find a silver lining to this cloud that just came up. "I hope they hatch soon, though. The more the merrier, right?"
And then travel recommendations. Boy, did Isaac sure love this part. He started going over the list in his head, trying to whip up the best combo of ideas he could.
"Well, there's the Valley of the Dragons, for one," he started. "It's this giant canyon with Digimon homes and villages lined all over the cliff walls. There's often dragons sparring with each other in the skies as you pass through, too, and it gets breathtaking at sunset. And there's the Village of Beginnings. Its where a lot of new Digimon are born and raised. Maybe they'll be able to help you with your eggs, too? I'm not sure. I wouldn't recommend anything in the Northern Prominence. Maybe pop in briefly at night because the auroras are really pretty, but its cold as heck and disasters seem to love happening there.
Oh! And there's Terminus, the capital city. It isn't a little place like Whitewater, so no need to worry about things getting too stagnant. Elliot and I are still finding new parts of it to explore. Lots of shops, too. People can be a bit rude there, but if you don't trouble them they won't trouble you.
Any of that catch your interest?"

Haley had to admit that the pair was pretty good at cheering people up, and kind enough to do so even when confronting somebody who was otherwise a total stranger. Maybe she was rushing it, but she was sure that she had just made her first two friends. And that felt great.
Regarding whether her digimon would recognize her or not, that was still a thought that went through the girl's mind, worrying her a bit. It wasn't the fact that they'd remember and she wouldn't that worried her, but... actually how disappointed her partners would feel if she wasn't able to recognize them. With any luck, they'd understand? Hopefully they would.
"Yeah, hopefully they'll hatch soon. I'm kinda looking forward to see how they'll look..." Among other things, but better to not to think about that...
Luckily, her mind was distracted from that as soon as Isaac began to talk about all the possible destinations within their reach; the possibilities were next to endless, and that excited Haley.
"So, Valley of Dragons, Village of the Beginnings, aurora gazing in Northern Providence and Terminus City, huh?" Choosing just one place seemed to be too difficult, making the answer obvious "All of those sound like interesting places to be. The gateway back to the human world is on Terminus, right? So that place's probably best left for the last. Anywhere else would be fine, though."
At first, Haley seemed to be satisfied with her answer, but then the realization dawned in her. Why did she know that the gateway back to the human world was in Terminus, or at least, why she thought that? For a second, she seemed to be surprised and befuddled, not with Elliot or Isaac, but with herself.
