Oboro slowly woke up on the sand of the beach. Where was he? He looked to his right, and Bukamon was passed out on the ground next to him. "Ow," he grunted. "What's going on?" He checked the time on his Digivice, but what shocked him more was the date. Nearly four months had passed? How was that possible? And where on earth was he?

Colin liked it here. While Whitewater City had been a rush of revelers and festivals by the beach; here, it was just serene and peaceful. The sand was almost white beneath his feet, the cool breeze from the sea kept the temperature comfortable, and the sound of the waves from the ocean were a calming delight.
"Isn't it just great here, guys?" Colin asked his twin partners. Bellamy the Impmon and Luke the Elecmon were at his side, the two Rookie level digimon keeping pace with passive expressions. Luke looked like he was daydreaming, while Bellamy looked out to sea sometimes. The twins were wearing their tropical shirts still, and also their red and blue scarfs. It was probably the only similar thing about them. Colin was still kind of amazed as to how two different looking digimon could still be brothers.
"Hm? Oh, yeah, it sure is" Luke said, smiling at his partner. Bellamy made a noise that said he agreed.
"I have a few towels in my bag, just so you know, we could maybe have a quick swim later if it gets too hot?" Colin suggested with some enthusiasm. The heat was getting a little on the heavy side after all, and Colin loved swimming.
"Luke and I can't swim though" Bellamy said. Colin was surprised to hear that, he thought that any animal could learn to swim properly.
"Really?" Colin asked. "Well... I could teach you later if you want, how about that?"
"You can teach us how to swim?" Luke asked, looking interested. "Well... if you can, that'd be awesome"
"It should only take a few lessons, hopefully" Colin said.
"Hmph, not in here though, I ain't gettin' salt water in my fur" Bellamy said, folding his arms. Colin chose not to press the matter further. He thought about where might be a good spot when he saw some shapes up ahead.
"What's that?" he asked, increasing his pace as he wanted to investigate. And up ahead he saw two figures on the beach. One was clearly a digimon, who looked like some sort of baby grey and white sea mammal with an orange tuft of hair. And the other looked like a very distressed red haired boy, who looked a little younger than Colin's age.
Deciding to speak to him, Colin approached. "Hey there" he said, raising a hand and waving a little as he was within speaking distance. "Everything alright?" Luke meanwhile noticed that the Pukamon was passed out.
"Uh, is your partner okay?" the Elecmon asked, a little concerned.

Oboro was shocked to see a boy and two Digimon approaching him immediately. "Who are you?" he shouted, suddenly nervous. "What's going on here?"
As if on cue, Bukamon managed to bring himself off the ground. "Hey, Oboro, what's all the fuss about?" The lax in-training finally opened his eyes to see that they were nowhere near where he remembered. "Oh."
Oboro ran over to the other boy as quickly as possible. "You gotta tell me, dude," he shouted, shoving his Digivice in his face. "Is this date right?"

The boy seemed to be disoriented slightly. Colin wasn't sure what to say at first, he didn't know what was going on. But in the end he decided introductions might just be a good place to start.
"Well, I'm Colin James and these are my partners Luke and Bellamy" he said.
"Heya" Luke said, waving a paw.
"Yo what up homeslice?" said Bellamy, giving a thumbs up.
"As for what's going on, we, uh, were just walking, and we saw you lying down on the beach" Colin continued. "Are you okay, kid?" he thought he might as well use that term since this boy looked younger than him.
The Bukamon seemingly awoke and said that the boy's name was Oboro. He didn't seem like he knew what was going on either. Then Colin had to take a step back as Oboro ran up to him, showing him his digivice with the current date displayed.
"Yeah... that's today's date" Colin said slowly.
"What happened? What's the last thing you remember?" Luke asked, hoping that this might help them figure out what was going on.

Oboro was clearly exasperated, but he struggled through using his head to remember where he was before he ended up here. "Well, the last thing I remember was being in some plains with some other guys, and I met this guy," he babbled, pointing at Bukamon. "Now, I'm here and it's four months later. What's happening?"
"I'm not in my Rookie form anymore," Bukamon noted. "Something's very off about this."

Bellamy whistled with a little bit of amazement. "Wow. Four months, huh? And ya don't remember anything? Gosh that's gotta be bad for ya"
Luke meanwhile scratched behind his ears as he thought of the reason why that might be. "Four months? On some plains, right? Do you mean the Network Plains outside Terminus City?" the Elecmon looked at Colin. "Isn't that about the time that... thing happened there? With all that digital disruption?"
"Oh wow, yeah, that could be it" Colin said, agreeing. He looked back at Oboro. "Do you remember what other guys were with you? What their names were? I might know them if that's the case"
Bellamy meanwhile paid attention to Bukamon as he said he wasn't in his rookie form anymore. "Yeah... I know the feelin', buddy" he said. "Not really nice to be used to havin' arms and ending up being a bodiless bouncy head. But don't worry, just stick with your partner and you'll digivolve in no time!" he hoped he was sounding encouraging.
It sounded quite like his story, only he knew that he was defeated in battle before dying and being reconfigured to become the twin brother of his best friend.

"I don't remember anything," Oboro realized. "The last thing I really remember was Gomamon hatching from his egg. There were other people there, but I don't remember who any of them were."
"Well, the important thing is we're safe now, right?" Bukamon said, trying to make things better. "Maybe these guys can help us out?"

Something sounded odd about that. "Wait, Gomamon did you say?" Luke asked. "Was he a Rookie form when you found him? That's unusual". He'd have to check if this was true first.
Unfortunately Oboro didn't know who was with him and that he barely remembered anything. Bellamy sighed, this seemed to be going nowhere pretty fast.
"Well, what do ya remember?" the Impmon asked. "Let's try to work with that for the moment, eh? Like you remember who you were on Earth? What place you're from, what you know about digimon maybe?"
Bukamon said that they were safe now, and said that they might help them out. Colin nodded. "Yeah, we can help you guys. In fact we could take you back to the Trailmon station and head for Whitewater or Terminus City if you want" he said.

"Yeah, he hatched as Gomamon," Oboro confirmed. "I remember him hatching, and that's about it. Before that, I fell in the Shibuya River and ended up in those plains. Gomamon hatched out of the egg, and that's all I remember."
"We'd appreciate getting back to town, if you'd be able to help," Bukamon added. "I don't seem to have the energy to Digivolve anymore." Bukamon was a little confused as to why he was stuck in his In-Training form, since he was hatched straight at the Rookie level.

"Huh, okay, I guess that can happen then" Luke said as Oboro confirmed that Gomamon did hatch as a rookie. Then the next thing he said was also perplexing.
"You... fell in the river at Shibuya, and you ended up in the digital world" Colin repeated. "You didn't board a Trailmon at all? That's just how me and everyone else I've met entered this world"
"Yeesh, that sounds nasty, pal" Bellamy said, shaking his head. "Well, yeah, I for one think it'd be a good idea to get you to some sort of civilization, maybe we can find someone who can help you out then?"
"That sounds good" Colin agreed. "Alright then. If you follow us, we can take you to Whitewater City and hopefully we can find some answers from there".
As he began to walk, Colin asked Oboro some more questions. "So, you're from Japan, right? If you've been gone for four months, your parents must be really worried about you. But we can take a Trailmon back to Earth if that's the case"
Even though time went seven times faster on the digital world, four months would have still been at least three weeks on Earth. Enough for any parent to be terrified for the welfare of their young son. Colin then thought it would be his responsibility to make sure that Oboro could return home.

The mention of "parents" struck a nerve with Oboro, considering his current circumstances. He looked away and didn't say anything else to Colin.
Bukamon was also concerned, as he didn't know much about Oboro himself. Hopefully his Tamer could open up to him at a later point. "Something tells me he's not too keen on going back to the Real World," Bukamon whispered to Bellamy.

Colin backed off a little when Oboro reacted negatively to the mention of Parents. "Okay... sorry about that" he said.
Bellamy understood when Bukamon said that he didn't want to go back to the real world. "Yeah... I can understand that" the Impmon said, having heard some bad things that were happening on Earth right now. But still, Colin would go back and see his family whenever he could, still went to school. Him and Luke would prefer to stay with him in the digital world so they could have more adventures together, but, he had his life too.
"Well then, why don't we talk a little more about you, Oboro? Do you know much about the digital world so far?" Luke asked. "How about you, Bukamon? It's pretty good being a digimon partner to a human isn't it?" he asked the digimon.
Colin meanwhile was heading back to the road that led to the Trailmon station that would take them back to Whitewater City.

OOC: Sorry lol I just remembered I had this character. Oboro turned to Colin, and with a straight face, told him, "I have no idea what's going on."Well, at least he was honest! Bukamon just snickered at his Tamer. "No worries, Oboro," he assured the young boy. "We'll figure it out together. As far as how I like being partnered, I really don't know! We'll see how things play out." He hoped his answer would appease Luke for the moment, as he was still very unsure of what was happening.

"No dice, huh?" Bellamy asked, a bit disappointed but sympathetic as Oboro said he had little idea about what was going on.
"Well, we've only been here a short while ourselves, so we might not be much help..." Colin said. "But I guess we'll try our best, okay?"
They proceeded along the road toward Whitewater City. Colin was really unsure of what to talk about. Same with Bellamy. But Luke thought he might have an idea.
"So far from what we know, a lot of strange things have been happening around the digital world. And more and more humans have been arriving" he said. "And some of us... just kinda bond with them. Bellamy and I were once independent digimon, but then we became best friends and now we're twin partners to Colin here"
The Elecmon paused in his speech, taking a few more steps, then continued. "I guess... you could make a new life for yourself here if you want to? Go on adventures around the world with Bukamon, then once he evolves, you can start getting jobs. You think you might like the sound of that?"

Oboro didn't really have any other ideas on what to do, and it seemed that going home would take more effort than it was worth, so the prospect of a new life here in the Digital World seemed to excite him. "That sounds awesome!" he shouted out obnoxiously. "Let's do it, Bukamon!"
Bukamon just smiled plaintively. "I'm here with you one-hundred percent, Oboro!" he agreed. Though he was still just as new to everything as his Tamer was, it seemed like the two of them would have to be there for each other no matter what. This was going to be a lot of work.
