Personal Information
Inventory: Argus carries nothing of value; He feels no need to. He has never run across anything that he has deemed necessary to carry along with him, and thusly has obtained no possessions of real worth to himself.
Personal History: Argus has a very interesting history. First designed, along with many other Digimon in order to protect a system outside of the net. The system was at peace for a time, suffering the occasional breach from the net, yet still maintaining integrity. However, there came a time in which the System came under siege, and the defenses were broken. Suddenly this System, which had been so serene, was invaded. The force, who called them selves the "DLF", or Digimon Liberation Front, were, instead of deleting the systems programs, instead infecting them with a virus. Thus it came to be that Argus, the in-training Kuramon, was transformed into a Minomon, via the influence of a virus. This virus also interacted with Argus coding, causing him to become an unintended version of himself, still retaining his cause and purpose, indeed, but changed none the less. No longer was he simply a program for protection of the System; he had become something else. No longer did he live to protect the system. He existed now to ensure his own survival. No longer did he care about the invasion of his home. And so it was that the invaders came to be permanent residents of the System. However, not long after their incursion, and subsequent infestation, the System began to quickly destroy itself. And so Argus and the remnants of the system were forced to escape using the channel of conveyance that they had protected for so long; the gateway to the digital world. And so it was that the remnants of the System came to reside just outside the system, near to the digital world. It was here that Argus, having digivolved into Wormmon in the panic of fleeing the System, Decided it was time to leave. And so he did. We find our intrepid adventurer having just entered the Digital world, and being forced to deal with the seeming increase in potency of the virus working on his system. What will he do about the fact that he has been forever altered by this virus? Only time will tell. |
Personality: Argus is a fairly passive digimon. Content with watching the world pass. He will typically only engage in a serious fight if he feels his being is threatened, or something that he might find useful later in his existence is threatened. His passivity does not extend to his outlook on himself, however. He is constantly searching for answers concerning the somewhat mysterious virus he was infected with, though he doesn't believe he'll ever find them. He is typically outspoken, as a general rule of thumb; always honest, and fairly blunt. He is also fairly intelligent, and while blunt, will withhold information if it suits him. He is also fairly quiet, speaking only when he needs to, subscribing to the fact that Actions speak louder than words. He also is more than usually observant, preferring to observe by examining rather than asking questions. His tracking ability and former experience in the System lend themselves to this kind of behavior. He is very capable of being a team player, his silence typically giving way to a slightly more vocal demeanor in the presence of people or digimon he has become familiar with. As such he is not objectionable to working with other entities. Finally, when in combat, he prefers to use your typical physical attacks, such as punches and kicks, as opposed to his powered attacks. While he realizes that this physical style of combat is not typical, nor is it nearly as powerful as his powered attacks, it is how he prefers to fight, and thus what he will attempt over nearly all other forms of combat. |
DIGIMON'S INITIAL EVOLUTION LINE
Appearance: | Fresh: Red-Kuramon Attribute: Unidentified Family: Nightmare Soldiers Type: Unidentified Digimon Attacks: Glare Eyes: Argus uses a beam from his eye in order to try to stop an opposing digimon in its tracks. This attack is very ineffective, however, and usually only succeeds in annoying an opponent, merely pausing the opponent for less than a second in its tracks at full strength. This attack is primarily used in order to delay an opponent long enough for help to arrive. This "pause" would not last to even the full extent of a post. Digivolves To: Minomon |
Appearance: | In-Training: Viral Minomon Attribute: Data Family: Jungle Troopers Type: Larva Digimon Attacks: Pinecone Shot: An attack that involves Minomon shooting pinecones at it's adversary. The attack utilizes its newly acquired Insect-like nature, but does minimal damage. Viral Aura: Mildly increases observational powers and damage output, making attacks such as Pinecone Shot slightly more damaging. This would last 1 post. Digivolves To: Viral Wormmon |
Appearance: | Rookie: Viral Wormmon Attribute: Virus Family: Jungle Troopers Type: Larva Digimon Attacks: Silk Thread: Argus spits out a thick sharp-tipped thread from his mouth, which attempts to pierce the foe, with both moderate accuracy and damage. Sticky Net: Argus creates a net intended to immobilize a foe. This attack has a higher accuracy than Silk Thread, but could still be classified as a Moderate accuracy attack. This "immobilization" would last approximately a post. Viral Aura Argus accesses his true nature in order to power up both is observational abilities and his attack strength by a slight amount. This would last 2 posts. Digivolves To: Viral Stingmon |
Appearance: | Champion: Viral Stingmon Attribute: Virus Family: Jungle Troopers Type: Insectoid Digimon Attacks: Spiking Strike: Argus attempts to stab his opponent with both of the spikes in his arms simultaneously. This attack is fairly accurate and does a moderate amount of damage. Spike Blast: Argus uses his viral aura in order to sling an energized copy of one of his arm spikes at an assailant. It is very accurate, but damages the target very mildly. However, it is also capable of mildly slowing the target. The main point of the attack is to surprise and perhaps give Argus the proper split second needed to analyze the situation. Viral Shield: Argus has finally integrated himself with his Viral Aura, and such has gained the ability to use his aura as a more defensible ability as well. This attack increases Argus' defense slightly. This and Viral Power cannot be used at the same time. This would last two posts, and then Argus would be returned to his normal power level. Viral Power Argus has finally integrated himself with his Viral Aura, and as such is once again able to increase the power of his basic attacks. Once again, this attack powers up Argus attacks to a small, but sometimes useful, extent. This and Viral Sheild cannot be used at the same time. This would last two posts, and then Argus would be returned to his normal power level. Digivolves To: Argomon |
Appearance: | Perfect: Argomon Attribute: Virus Family: Jungle Troopers Type: Mutant Digimon Attacks: Elimination Line: Argus Fires a damaging beam from the eyes on its limbs. It does a fair amount of damage, and is a fairly accurate attack. Imprison: Argus uses its tentacles to restrict the opponent's powers and he attempts to prevent most of their movement, via attempting to bind foes limbs. This is a fairly low accuracy attack, and if it makes contact would last for approximately one opposing post. Hyper Claw: An attack in which Argus uses his feet in a spinning kick attack, attempting to clash and claw an attacker. Viral Extention: Argus uses his Viral Aura in order to increase his agility, making his physical attacks much less powerful and accurate, but dramatically increasing his ability to dodge some opposing attacks which he wouldn't be able to normally avoid. This avoidance lasts for the time limit of 3 posts, and and after those posts, Argus returns to his normal power level and agility level. Digivolves To: Argomon (Ultimate) |
Appearance: | Mega: Argomon Attribute: Virus Family: Jungle Troopers Type: Mutant Digimon Attacks: Distortion Line: Argus Fires a damaging beam from the eyes on its limbs. It does a fair amount of damage, and is a fairly accurate attack. The main difference between this attack iand Elimination Line is that this attack has a broader range, and is able to hit up to three digimon instead of just one. Brute Force: Argus uses his large bulk in an attempt to hit an opponent. This is a fairly damaging attack and is fairly accurate, but leaves Argus open to attacks from behind. Judecca Cannon: Argus opens all of his eyes, and fires beams from them in all directions. This is a fairly damaging attack, and fairly accurate, but is easier to dodge the further away an opposing force is. Argus will only use this attack as a last resort, as it reduces him to his champion form, as Argus has used all the power of his Viral Aura. He cannot use this and Viral Overload in the same battle. Viral Overload: Argus uses his Viral Aura in order to shut down all of his other attacks. However, this makes his physical attacks (punches and kicks, the like) much more powerful. After using this ability, which lasts for approximately 2 posts, Argus must return to his ultimate form. He cannot use this and Judecca Cannon in the same battle. Digivolves To: Data Unavaliable |
OPTIONAL EVOLUTIONARY STAGES
Appearance: | Armor I: Viral Togemogumon Attribute: Virus Family: Nature Spirits Type: Animal Digimon Attacks: Hail Machine Gun: Argus fires four of the crystals on his back towards a foe, each crystal doing a small amount of damage, with the attack, if it hits all four times, doing a fair amount of damage. Crystal Guard: Argus spreads the crystals on his back to create a defensive shield that slightly increases his defensive capabilities. This cannot be used in combination with Viral Speed. This defense lasts for a single post. Viral Speed: Argus flattens the crystals on his back as low as he can and activates his Viral Aura, increasing his speed slightly. Argus cannot use Crystal Guard at the same time as this speed boost. This speed burst lasts for two posts. Mirror Guard: Argus fans out the crystals on his back, creating a mirror like image of an opponent attempting to confuse his foe. This illusion is easily seen through by anything higher than a champion, and easily broken by any but the most inept Fresh digimon's attacks. Argus cannot move while using this ability, nor can he make any special attacks. Digivolves To: Data Unavailable |
Appearance: | Super Mega: Argomon (Final) Attribute: Virus Family: Jungle Troopers Type: Viral Knight Digimon Attacks: Discord Line: Argus fires a damaging beam from the two eyes on his chest. It does a fair amount of damage and is a fairly accurate attack. The main difference between this attack and Destruction Line is that this can hit up to four digimon instead of just three. Strike Force: Argus uses his Blade in order to slice at an opponent multiple times within a post. This attack is fairly weak, but a number of hits built up over time could cause a large amount of damage. Shade of Judecca: Argus reveals the eyes hidden in his cloak and uses their power to "hyper analyze" them, allowing him to dodge attacks more effectively for two posts, as in using this he is able to determine the composition of attacks (Such as if they use an element, what sort of element it is, that kind of analysis). This power leaves him fairly drained, and will revert him to his Ultimate stage, and, as such, is a last resort sort of move. Viral Aura: The final version of the Viral Aura increases both Argus' attack and speed slightly while reducing defense. While the Aura is active, Argus cannot use any of his other attacks. This version of the Aura lasts for 3 posts. The Watchers Blade: As a final attack during a battle, Argus may use his sword to open a portal to another dimension. This move is used only as a means for escape, and Argus has no real control over where it takes him. It simply dumps him somewhere safe. As a penalty for using this attack, Argus is reverted to his champion form. |
((I was in possession of 342, and then 30 unclaimed from the last mission on V4, which adds up to 372 posts all together, and 2000 bits on the other forum, and while I'm not entirely certain where to post about getting that stuff back, I figure here is as good a place as any.))
