"I was really surprised that you actually alive and well, Takamiya-kun." a teacher said. "I never thought that since the disappearance of you and several other students back then that I would see you again It has been long isn't it?"
...Well, technically she attended to this school to make it easier for her to return from Digital World. She transferred in several months since the start of the term. Her parents back then consented. She got no ties to the old school. No fun activities, no friends other than her now already transferred to this school gang... so she felt like she could start anew just fine anyway. As usual, she wasn't really a girl who love to socialize, so she stays on the corner normally, but there are nice friends that approached her. She joined a K-ON club, and this teacher in front of her was the advisor...
"You'll be fine from here, right? I know it can be nervewrecking, but hang in there!"
"I'll be fine, sensei," a curt reply came from her. The girl did get a lot taller, but her nature is still so similar to how she was in the past. Noticing that, the male teacher smiled rather wryly. Karin opened sliding door and entered after the teacher briefed the homeroom teacher about the student. The blond haired half Japanese half American stood in front of the class and wrote her name on the blackboard
"鷹宮歌林"
"Takamiya Karin, 15 years old. A year ago I was filed as missing then passed away, but as you can see, I'm fine and kicking. I was your senpai, but I'm here now as your fellow classmate. Pleasure to meet you. I don't want to talk about how I was missing or how people said I was dead. Other questions are welcome for later."
She quickly goes to an empty seat that pointed at by the teacher. Indeed, that sort of introduction would be more like a storm.

These new holosuits were amazing! Well... at least so Colin thought so at first. The idea of walking to school with his best friends at his side with nobody batting an eyelid at the sight of them was a fantastic one, but... of course, Bellamy was still Bellamy.
"Heyy ladies~" the Impmon said to a small gang of girls as they walked through the corridor to class. His holosuit had the image of a lanky but playful 14 year old boy with purple hair and a devilish charm. He wore his school uniform loose and casually, his tie drooping under his collar, his shirt untucked. Colin and Luke watched on with expressions of those who were watching a train crash in slow motion.
However, the girls seemed to react a little positively, giggling a little but pulling closer together. Bellamy knew to be quick though. He quickly pulled a flower out of his pocket. "Heya, miss, I think you dropped this" he gave it to what he thought was the cutest girl, who had turned a bright pink. He didn't bother her anymore though.
"Bellamy... you're really pushing it here" Luke warned him. The Elecmon's holosuit was that of a small boy with red hair and blue eyes.
"Feelin' left out, Luke?" Bellamy asked, ruffling his hair. "That's okay. We can stop by the pool and watch the boys' swim team if ya want"
"...s-shut up" Luke said, blushing. His red fur gone, his blush was clearly visible to the world.
"Anyway, Colin, I ain't breakin' any school rules am I?" Bellamy asked his partner.
"Other than you two being here in the first place without enrolment papers, not really" Colin said, shrugging. Hopefully they could just blend in with the background and run off if they get caught. Bellamy caught another girl's eye and winked at her. She giggled back. It seemed that some Japanese schoolgirls did kind of like the rough boys deep down.
"You there!" a boy suddenly snapped, pointing dramatically at Bellamy. He blinked. "Your behaviour is offensive and also your grammar is disgraceful for Glorious Nippon! Apologize at once and then go straight to class!"
Wow, this kid had guts. Bellamy folded his arms, slowly walking up to him. The boy began to quiver a little. Bellamy's holosuit was slightly taller than him. But all Bellamy did was smile at his face.
"You know, you're kinda cute when you're angry" he said.
"Oh my god Bellamy, we're running late already!" Luke said, grabbing his brother's arm and dragging him away. Bellamy looked back at the stunned boy and whispered 'Call me~' with a wink. It was then that the boy had noticed that Bellamy had slipped a card into his shirt pocket, which displayed a number and a picture of an Impmon resting on his side with a rose in his mouth.
Colin followed his partners into class, and they quickly took their seats at the back of the room. Thankfully they weren't too late, the teacher hadn't arrived yet, and the class was still chatting. Finally, the teacher arrived and they paid attention.
Apparently there was a new girl to introduce first. Well... at least an old-new girl. Luke and Bellamy's introductory speeches had been made earlier this week, and thankfully they knew to be respectful in class.
The girl introduced herself as Karin. She was 15, and apparently she had been filed as missing and then dead. But it seemed she was alive.
"Huh, so Phoenix Downs do work after all, eh?" Bellamy asked the boy who was sitting next to him, who was an avid fan of JRPG's. He could barely suppress his laughter. Colin meanwhile was interested in her story. A missing girl? Could she be linked with the digital world by any chance? He would try to talk to her after class.

Hearing Bellamy's joke, suddenly there was a mysterious voice coming out of Karin's bag, probably only able to be heard by the Digimons as it's faint enough. "Phoenix Down never worked. Life Bottle is where it's at, otherwise Aeris would be alive for the sequel."
Of course Karin pretended to not hear any of that. During the lesson, she acted like how normal girl is... but probably... a bit odd. She never tried to stood out at all, like she's totally content to not stood out the slightest. Nothing noteworthy from her other the fact that her bag was talking and she followed the lesson very well despite missing for a year, something that is quite hard to believe. During the break, she quickly left the class. She took her bag. Unlike the other people, for some reason, she's allowed to bring a backpack instead the normal student issued bag that Japanese students have to bring.
The girl doesn't even are about the people that tried to approach her... or better said, she ignored most of those people and goes to certain part of the school, the roof. Immediately after she's done eating, she returned to the class and sat on her table. This silent treatment continued until the end of the day, where she somehow stayed there in the class instead of going along with everyone else. When she got invited to various thing, she politely rejects those people, claiming "I'm going to join a music club". True enough, if no one stopped her, she wanted to go to the K-ON club to take back her guitar that she left in the school. She only hoped that it stayed intact....

"Whuh?" Bellamy could have sworn he had heard a voice coming from somewhere. He looked at the backs of the students sitting in front of him, but nobody seemed to be reacting. Hm, that must've been a secret gamer girl correcting him. Ah, such a tease.
It seemed Karin had left class too quickly for Colin to talk to her, that plus he couldn't find her anywhere during lunch break. Ah well, he wasn't that particularly fussed about it anyway. Eventually they might encounter each other, that and he didn't want to be too nosy about digimon with his partners being here with him.
Following the morning class, the next one was Geography with Ms. James, in which Colin had to physically restrain Bellamy from making smartass comments to his aunt's appalling behaviour in class.
"Alright, so, today we're studying Egypt or whatever!" Ms. James said, highlighting Syria on the world map. "And now which of you smartalec brats knows something about Egypt to start off with?"
"Ain't it full of pyramids?" Bellamy asked loudly.
"Oh yes very clever" Ms. James spat, looking at him. "Who are you anyway?"
"I'm Bellamy Mitsubishi" said Bellamy. Colin's hand was turning white from how tightly he was holding his pen in alarm. Luke just facepalmed.
"Well yes, Pyramids are obvious..." Ms. James took a closer look at him. "Purple hair. Right. You can tell this is a goddamn anime..."
Thankfully Bellamy didn't earn himself a detention... that time. And by the end of the day, they felt quite pleased at getting through it.
"Say Colin..." Luke said as they left the last class. "Can we stop by the Light Music club? I kinda want to check it out"
"Hm? Oh, yeah, of course" Colin said, agreeing. Luke liked music after all, and he did promise him that he'd let him try out some instruments on Earth sometime. And so Colin, Bellamy and Luke made their way there. On the way, they saw the girl from earlier, Karin.
"Hi there" Colin said to her. Bellamy and Luke held back a little bit. "You're Karin right? I was in the home class in the morning"
Unfortunately Colin didn't know what to say next. He was spared an awkward pause by Luke taking over. "What my partner- I mean- my friend here is trying to say is that he was wondering... well... if you were okay with sharing what happened?" he offered, equally awkwardly.
"Bah, amateurs" Bellamy scoffed at the awkwardness. He swaggered himself up and said. "Heya Karin, are you heading over to the K-ON club too? The name's Bellamy. What kinda music are ya into?"
"So forward..." Colin thought, horrified. Although they must have been a particularly embarrassing sight here. He was half expecting Karin to just make excuses and walk far away from them.

...The geography lesson came... seriously, she wondered how the fuck could this woman teaches geography while being like she's almost drunk all the time. Oh brother. Well, she managed to just listen to the material as much as she could, but this teacher is probably worse than any of the teacher she ever got since attending this school... at least the interaction with the weird kid is funny though.
Later, after class, she turned around when she heard her name called.
"...Yes, I am," probably there was a quite significant of a pause there. "..Partner is alright, you're slipping. I think it's already obvious from how you looks you two that you're not human," Karin continued, but with much lower volume. "...You're walking in and probably hoping that people wouldn't notice. Bellamy Mitsubishi, eh? If you're really with a Japanese name, then you should turn that around. What are you, Wizarmon and FlaWizarmon?" she asked. "Also, I told you that I don't really want to talk about what happened, right? The purple dude over there did better. Anyway, back to step one."
She took out her Digivice, a rhodonite grip-colored D-3.
"Next time be careful, but you did hit a jackpot. I'm the so called Partnered Human. Looks like you're here to talk, that's fine with me, but if you want to head to the light music club while talking about stuff regarding other world, then quit it. I won't talk more than this about it in public. My best bet is we could go to the rooftop after I get my guitar."

Colin gave a nervous chuckle, then lowered his head in defeat as Karin correctly pointed out that his 'friends' were not human. "Eh... yeah. I'm sorry. These are my digimon partners, they're wearing holosuits" he said, also in a low volume. He glowered at Luke and Bellamy for their terrible performance here, both of them gave nervous chuckles.
"Sorry, pal" Bellamy said, patting Colin's shoulder. "Just when we've been runnin' on a bit of a high today, we thought we'd get by with some luck but we were dumb"
"And rude. I'm sorry we spoke to you like that, Karin" Luke added, sincerely. Colin and Bellamy said the same. "Anyway, I'm an Elecmon and Bellamy here's an Impmon" he explained.
Then Karin showed her digivice. Colin nodded with understanding and showed his in return. Then Karin advised that they not talk about the other world until they found a more private place, most likely the roof. She then mentioned a guitar.
"Oh my god, you have a guitar?!" Luke asked, his eyes widening with excitement. "Is it acoustic or electric? Can I hear you play? I've always wanted to hear how one sounds like on Earth"
"You played the guitar okay in the di- other world didn't you?" Bellamy asked, raising an eyebrow.
"Yeah I know but I'd like to hear how it sounds without being digitized" Luke explained. Following that, they followed Karin to the Light Music room for her to see if she still had her equipment here.

"I thought as much. By the way, if you're wearing holosuit, 8 chance out of 10, another Digimon could smell you out," Karin said. "Too bad for you, you're already busted since I saw you. Even if you have holosuit, your Digimon aura is not masked at all, so it's really easy to sniff you out. I owe it to my partner."
She nodded at Luke's question. "Electric guitar. It's actually one of my prized item. I left it here before going to the digital world. I just hope whoever using it until now would take good care of it... Yes, I will play, no need to be so hyper about it."
She opened the light music club door. To her surprise there are no one there, but her guitar is there. It's designed rather futuristic themed, colored pink with black tone. She took it from its handle and quickly wrote a note. It reads The owner claimed her guitar back. Thank you very much for taking care of it. I hope she helped some of you in your performance.
She carries the guitar along with the case and goes to the rooftop. There, she turned around finally.
"...Well, looks like you have no idea about this too, but..." she took out her Digivice again, then she pointed it at Colin. It let out a trill like sound. "....I don't even need my partner's help too, apparently. This is quite useful to see whether in an area there are a Digital disturbance or other human with ties with Digimon around... Anyway, it's only fair if I show what's inside my bag too anyway, right?"
She opened her bag, revealing a small angel Baby Digimon.
"Oh, so this is the form of the guy who said phoenix down is working," Jeanne commented, snickering. "Too bad it doesn't. My name's Jeanne. I heard everything. You're an Impmon and your brother is an Elecmon."
She activated her holosuit immediately, turning into a rather beautiful young woman with french and asian trait. "Pleasure to meet you three."
Karin began to strum some of the string, feeling it a bit. She tuned it slowly, trying to get the sound right. When it is, she start to strum it more and more to get a feel of it. Looks like she's happy enough with this.

"Yeah yeah..." Bellamy said, a little poutily. Colin thought it was hilarious seeing a human posing like Bellamy did as an Impmon, but didn't make him cross by mentioning it. But indeed, it seemed that holosuited digimon could be detected by other digimon.
"Hm. I wonder if there's any other holosuited digimon in the school?" Luke wondered out loud. He was then told by Karin that it was in fact an Electric guitar. "Really? That sounds awesome" he said, smiling, eager to hear what it sounds like.
When they entered the music club, Luke looked closely at the guitar (without touching). Already he was transfixed with the panel boards and electronics. The strings looked great. And it was pink too, that was a very manly colour.
Then once they were on the rooftop, Karin spoke to Colin and said that her digivice can detect other digimon too. "Oh, can it really?" Colin asked, eagerly. "That's good to know. And yeah, I was just about to ask where your partner was"
Karin revealed the digimon in her bag. Bellamy gave a nervous chuckle when she said that she was the one that pointed out that Life Bottles were superior to Phoenix Downs. "Well yeah I know that" he said. "Just I didn't know if he'd get the reference".
Fortunately she was holosuited too. She activated it and took the form of a fifth human in their little group. "Hey, Jeanne" Bellamy and Luke said at the same time. Then Luke listened eagerly to the sound of the guitar strumming.
"Ooh that's nice. So you don't need a synthesizer for it?" Luke asked with interest.

"Dunno, never cared much," Karin frankly said. "As long as they're not hostile to me, then they're fine in my book. If they're hostile then end them immediately. It's that simple."
It's too cold of a view for onlooker maybe, but as someone who get too used to that sort of thing, Karin would argue that her pick is the right one. She's too used to murderers thinking they could get away after she attacked her. Too bad, she's not exactly that soft. Plus, killing a Digimon is much better than killing the human. Crossed the line? No, she's just giving a fair warning. She's not fond of excessive damage dealing either.
When Karin played, Luke asked if he need a synthetizer. Karin just shook her head.
"I don't think I need it, at least for now. I'm fine without as it's just some tryout anyway," she told him. Then, she began to strum more, finally breaking into an intro and start singing a simple, soft song. Usually she loves J-rock, but this is OK with her too. Her usually rather deep voice turned much lighter. Her vocal prowess showing itself. Her vocal range is diverse enough, apparently.

"Alrighty then" said Bellamy. "Hm. You sound like you can handle yourself pretty well as a partner to digimon, I have to say. Little Colin here might have a few things to learn from ya".
Even though Colin was still taller than Bellamy's holosuit, that didn't seem to be a reason against Bellamy calling him little. Colin simply squinted at him. He and Luke on the other hand were a little worried about the prospect of a digimon battle happening in the school due to hostile digimon, but neither of them disagreed with Karin.
On the rooftop, Luke and even Colin and Bellamy were impressed with Karin's playing. Apparently her guitar could make its own noises and didn't require any sort of amplifiers or other equipment to play. Rather useful.
"Ahh, I was right, it does sound better when it's not digitized" Luke said, appreciating listening to the music with his own ears on Earth for the first time. "That's pretty good, Karin" he finished. He looked at the hands of his holosuit, wondering if he could play better with human fingers than the paws he had as Elecmon. While it was all meant to be an illusion, he did like some things about being a human. Even wearing pants for the first time wasn't as bad as he thought.
Colin meanwhile thought it might be good to bring the topic back to digimon. "So, how long have you and Jeanne been partners?" he asked, interested.

"I think if your first adventure is against a really crazy lawyer that ended up your partner's sister in cold blood, then you pretty much set like me," she commented. "If that sort of lawyer came then you should just run the fuck away from it, you got me?"
Karin merely bowed after the praise. "Well, thank you very much, but if I can be honest, with synthesizer, it should be much better than now, but I can play it without. It's just if we use synth then we need to go to the light music clubroom again. We can't really talk about Digital World like that. Plus if I play with synth and speaker, it'll get really loud, people going to complain like that."
She turned around to Colin then thought it for a moment.
"...Digital World wise and Real World wise, a bit less than seven years combined. Real world wise, about a year. You heard what I said. I was missing... in Digital World, that is."

Colin and the twins looked surprised at Karin when she mentioned that. "Huh, that Lawyer with the Bearmon?" Bellamy asked, tilting his head. "Ugh, that jerk. I've heard about him from Yuuki, apparently he nearly got Hikaru killed and poor Kyo was killed too" he sighed. He punched one fist into his cupped hand threateningly. "Let's see how that Lawyer gets out of a Badda-barbeque!"
Colin gave a nervous chuckle, patting Bellamy's shoulder. He didn't really want to see him set fire to another person. He was pretty sure that it would lead to bad things happening, even if it took place on another world.
"I take it you might know those two?" Luke asked, looking eager. "Hikaru and Kyo are our friends. Yuuki and Yuu too, we met them on the other world"
Luke nodded at the explanation on the synthesizer. "Ah, yes, of course" he said, nodding. "Well I wouldn't mind joining up with the music club later on? Maybe tomorrow perhaps?"
"Huh, dang, now I kinda wanna join some sort of club here" Bellamy said, scratching his chin. "Any ideas, Col?"
"Well..." Colin struggled to think of something that Bellamy was good at. He had to say something, he didn't want the Impmon to feel bad by being unable to think of at least one of his interests. However, he eventually thought of one thing. "How about public speaking? You seem to have a nice way with words"
"Hmm... maybe" Bellamy said, but seemed pleased that Colin had noticed that about him. "Well, I'll maybe look at a list and see what I can join from that, eh?"
"Good plan" said Colin. Although he hoped maybe Karin had suggestions too, although she had just returned from being missing. He blinked when she said seven years.
"Seven... and you don't age normally in the digital world?" he asked with disbelief. "Wow, that's pretty... extraordinary". So the time he spent in the digital world, it only went as fast as time went by on the real world. Curious.

She raised an eyebrow. Have they met those two before? She listened to what they have to say, but when Bellamy talks, somehow she only could let out a scornful snort. No, there's no way someone like two of them can do it right now. She made her stance well known by stomping her shoes on the ground.
"...No, you guys can't do it as you are now!" she frankly said. "Exactly because someone entered with that sort of mentality is why Kyo got killed and shit hit the fan! That guy got a freaking Perfect, we fought it with three adults and still lose. Not to mention I felt like he could go even higher. You still want to Badaboom that, Impmon?" she challenged. "Don't get too rash, and don't speak anything like plan to hit that guy in front of me ever again. I'm still looking... looking for that damn hero wannabe and cut his Digimon half dead! Only then that I could feel satisfied.... So do me a favor. if you wanna play hero... DON'T."
She walked away from the trio to calm herself down. Meanwhile, Jeanne sighed.
"...That was the worst sort of move you can do, Impmon," she muttered. "Well, they're indeed our friends. Yuuki is Mistress Karin's boyfriend. Hearing both him and Hikaru are safe made me happy. Kyo is my little sister, you see. Sorry about her. She wouldn't talk until at least she could calm herself down. She's the type that's very loyal to her friends... And if she felt like some doublecrossed her friends, or harmed them, she'll hunt them and make them pay. Honestly, it was such a brutal battle. I dunno if I can do the same again in this chance, though..."
Still, about Colin's question, Jeanne only can answer that one.
"Human ages in human world rate, so you get older by a year for seven years Digital World worth of years."

Bellamy looked in surprise as Karin suddenly bristled at what he had said. "N-no, I didn't mean now..." he murmured in defense, but the tirade went on. That he wanted to play the hero, that she had taken such issue with something he hadn't meant sincerely. Although the way she said it... it turned his surprise and guilt into anger as well. Especially when she told him not to go hunting after these people.
"Oh so nobody else in the world is allowed to care about bad things that happen to their friends? Nobody else has the right to wanna sock someone for hurting people they care about?!" Bellamy spat. Colin and Luke immediately moved to restrain him, but he wasn't trying to move forward to Karin.
The Impmon was furious, being spoken to like he was a stupid moron who intended to storm in like a hero. He knew what would happen if he challenged a digimon a higher level than him. In fact he hadn't challenged that Dinohumon in the first place, it was done as retribution for him and Luke bringing a pair of troublemakers to justice. And the thought of that asshole walking away from his and Luke's disintegrating corpses as the final memory of his last life just infuriated him. He would never make that same mistake again, not when he had his partner and brother to take care of.
"Alright! I get it! I'm not gonna freaking challenge a digimon higher than me!" Bellamy yelled. "But if one day I'm a Mega level and somehow I have my guns aimed at that asshole, I ain't waiting around for you to settle your scores! If someone messes with my friends, I show them no mercy either, when I'm strong enough!"
"Bellamy!" Luke shouted. "Stop talking like that! Please!"
Bellamy took a step back from Colin and Luke's restraint, then turned to Jeanne. "My name is Bellamy, not Impmon" he told her coldly. He could take Impy, but not that name, especially since that was what he had been called when he had been that thieving asshole before he had met Luke.
Bellamy then walked over to the other side of the building, folding his arms, seething as he tried to calm down.
"Oh god... I'm so sorry" Colin said, astonished that this conversation had gone so dark so quickly. He had known Bellamy had some demons in his old life, but, he had never seen the Impmon lose his temper over such a thing. He didn't know what to say here, but, Luke thought he might try.
"Yeah, Yuuki and Hikaru are safe and alive" the Holosuited Elecmon said, loud enough for Karin to hear as well as Jeanne. "We met them in Terminus city. Hikaru's wonderful and Yuuki taught us some things about how the digital world works"
"Oh yeah, and Yuu and Kyo are alive and well too" Colin added. "In fact they were the first people we met when I entered the digital world".
He hoped this subject might calm the situation down a little.

Jeanne watched in calmness like those of a flowing stream when both people apparently just cannot reconcile. It's stupid, but she honestly have to agree that probably her mistress is a bit too sensitive about that. She merely smiled slightly when the Impmon corrected her and whispered 'noted in full'.
Jeanne just shrugged when Colin apologized. "It happened," she said, but smiled kindly. "...You see, I'm afraid that this will be an everlasting trauma. I dunno if Kyo herself is fine with it or not, but... if you really meet her, then you should know that she's miles stronger than your partners. Yet why that lawyer never got his just dessert? I got two theories. First, he really vanished from Digital World... second, Kyo herself stopped caring about it. If it's the latter, then I need to respect my sister's wish that she no longer desire a revenge. However, if it's the former, then what can we do I guess. Now, unfortunately, my partner is someone with history of being bullied... The bullying become worse when a class hero attempted to defend her. In those girls' mind, she was trying to be victim to gain his attention. That wasn't true, but the bullying become worse anyway...
...The second was when this person called Nova Ozuka came and just... made situation goes south. Probably if that man doesn't appear, then Kyo wouldn't die... however, in retrospect, none of two of us would be probably as kind as we are now to her."
She smiled sadly. "...I used to be incomplete. Both in data and memory... Like I was supposed to be a new Digimon, but a memory of a dead platoon leader entered my egg... that platoon leader was a D'Arcmon. Due to that, lot of my datas are missing and most are disjointed. I didn't treat Kyo that kindly back then, neither is Mistress Karin. She clung to Yuu and called him "Father" while my mistress "Aunt". I think Kyo as too hyper, it's probably a bit annoying to me... so is to my mistress. We agreed that she warmed over us though, but we're not... exactly the kindest duo in this world to her."
She reminisced that past. "...Only when you lose something that it hits you how much you cared about something. Ironically, it made us better, but on other hand, it made us... Really angry. We vowed vengeance to the two... Even Kyo changed too. She becomes from a hyperactive puppy into a venomous Tsukaimon that have really short fuse. She used to be pacifist, but that all changed..."
She sighed. "...Well, anyway, that's not important. What's important is to best reconcile those two. It's just a misunderstanding afterall. Both of them just cared about their friends, and it can come off as completely wrong... and Mistress Karin's words is easily mistaken as sign of hostility. Also, you've met those two? That's great. She's the first one that witnessed my rebirth, so I guess we already know."
